Three years ago, astrologists discovered an odd planetoid approaching our planet. Its deep black coloration made it incredibly difficult to see, at first, nobody payed any attention to them. When it started to get close to the planet, the various nations of the world united only to try to get rid of this looming threat. Together, they threw every missile this planet had, unfortunately, nothing worked. In desperation, a team of scientists from all across the globe tried to examine the planetoid to see if there was any possible way to destroy it... all they could find was some weird language...
This was our last hope. During a recent archeological dig, someone has found a plate with the same markings on it as the planetoid. It was a bright, shining gold color with eight jewels embedded around the edges. There was a ninth jewel in the center of the plate, but it looked oddly plain in comparison to the rest. The man wasted no time in giving the plate to the government, who quickly had scientists take a look at the thing. All we had was one missile, and that plate. The scientists were out of ideas, so they simply threw the plate onto the top of the last missile in the world.It was midnight, this was the final hour before the planetoid would crash into our planet, destroying both it and us. Almost nobody could sleep that night with the impending doom looming right over their heads. They finally launched the thing at midnight. The moment the plate made contact with the planetoid, a bright light cloaked the planet, making it look as though it was noon, rather than midnight... and the moment after that, an ear-shattering scream filled the ears of all on the planet, waking the very few who still managed to pass out at a time like this. Once the light dimmed, there was no sign of either the planetoid, or the plate.
It was finally over, and the team that had destroyed the planetoid disbanded, with the nations resuming business as usual, yet, something strange began to happen to the general populace. Everyone started mutating into strange creatures, only moments ago only existing in myths, and other fantasies. This was found to be the cause of a strange mist created by the plate and the still unnamed planetoid colliding. This mist also allowed for strange abilities, called 'magic' by the general populace. Unfortunately, an EMP pulse, the likes of which was never seen before knocked out all electricity-based technology... that, and, with how some people are, anarchy has spread to almost every part of the globe.

Species:
Dragon
Large reptiles who normally posess wings, and are usually capable of flight. Oddly enough, the number of limbs used as their legs is variable... there are almost as many who are two-legged as there are four, or six-legged... some are even gastropods, similar to snakes. Their body shape seems to vary as well, with some having a very long, thin, snakelike body, with others having a shorter, rounder, somewhat lizard-like body. They are typically capable of breathing fire, ice, or something similar, however, they are typically slow on land. The only things that remain consistant among the varities of dragon are the long neck, and, oddly enough, the fact that the older ones seem to grow feathers. Their sizes range between human-sized to about fifteen feet tall (or long) when fully grown. Their scale color usually indicates what kind of power they can use, and the males have two backwards pointing horns on the back of their head, whereas the females have one horn near the tip of their snout. Interestingly, they can have anywhere from one to three heads. Dragons with more than one head are referred to as 'Hydras'
Accepted Dragons:
Gavin (Rp'd by Gavin)
Name: Gavin
Gender: Male
Species: Dragon
Age: 15
Appearance: About ten-fifteen feet (three-four meters) long. Scales are blue, has four legs, wings, and obviously a tail. Has light blue horns around his face and at the tips of his wings. (Basically like my avatar, but I couldn't get a picture.)
Bio: Gavin was abandoned at a very young age at an orphanage. He never knew his parents, and didn't want to anyway. If they were going to abandon him, they at least could've chosen a better place to leave him. This place was horrible. And I don't just mean not enough free time and too much work horrible, I mean they hit the kids because they feel like it horrible. What made it worse is that the people that worked at the orphanage didn't like Gavin very much. According to them, he was the reason why they were short on money with his "constant eating" and "excessive needs." There was only one caretaker there that was nice to him, and she died when he was eight. Police believed that it was murder, but the other caretakers talked them out of it... Gavin only had one friend, Zack, but felt bad about it. Ever since Zack started hanging out with Gavin, he was treated the same way. Both of them knew that it was because of Gavin, but Zack just tried to ignore the fact that the teachers/caretakers/whoever they were called, were treating him worse. When news of the planetoid arrived, the caretakers somehow found a way to blame it on Gavin. (Don't ask me how, those people are just really grumpy). So in the Earth's final days, Gavin was punished ten times a day. If he was lucky. He wasn't sure how he felt about all this, it was a way out of this endless torture, but it was death. Not just for him, but for everyone in the world, including Zack. Nobody could sleep on the night of the impact, when the planetoid would hit the Earth. Somehow though, the governments managed to blow it up. Good news: Everybody was safe. Bad news: Life would continue as normal. Or at least that's what Gavin thought. The next day, everything changed. Gavin woke up late in the day and heard a roar. Normally, people would come and wake him up at 6 am. It was 8. Usually, this meant that something was very wrong. He ran to his window and saw monsters walking the streets. It was chaos. He was about to call the police when he felt an intense pain in his chest. Everything went blurry and he fell over. Suddenly, his body hurt everywhere, but after a minute the pain subsided. Something felt different... Gavin got up and hit the ceiling, making him crash through the wall out of the building and fall three stories down onto the cement. Somehow though, he was unhurt. Gavin then noticed what was different about himself. He did what any sane person would do, he denied it, thinking that it must be a dream. He then realized that it wasn't, and that this was his chance to escape. The building was crumbling to the ground, so there was nowhere to go back to anyway... All that was left to do is run...
Powers: Fire breathing Dragon? Too cliche... How about a lightning breathing Dragon! He can also freeze things.
Weaknesses: Swords. He'll learn to absolutely hate swords. Fire too...
Other: You forgot to put something in the rules to put in the other section.
Marty (Rp'd by Zombiemagikarp)
Name: Marty Torrence
Gender: Male
Species: Dragon
Age: 24
Appearance: Marty's transformation didn't really, uh, work out in the best of his favor, really. I mean, sure, the idea of basically becoming a friggin' Pokemon is pretty killer, but add a few or so hundred pounds, not so much. Rather than being the tall, skinny guy he was before, this whole world collision thingy made him a rather chubby (to say the least) Charizard. Being shorter didn't really help out with this, standing at a height of 5' 6'', and a width enough to round him out quite a bit. Unlike a standard Charizard, this guy's one of them new fangled Mega X variants and whatnot. He's changed to a much more...well, lazy state. Definitely dumbed down a whole lot more, often idly scratching his stomach with one hand and playing video games with the other. Aside from being a more bloated version of your basic new generation Charizard look-alike, uh, he's got a few things from during the time he was human. For example, the bowling t-shirt he wore during his transformation still fits him...as a bandana 'round his neck. As well as the watch just able to fit around his wrist.
Bio: Marty Torrence: fan of video games and spicy foods. Likes long walks on the beach. He's generally the overly-social kinda guy, er was. Y'know the type, that one guy wanting to get everyone together and whatnot, the skinny dude who could eat ten times his weight in food and end up skinnier, and the one who'd spoil most movies and games for you unintentionally. Yup, that's Marty for you. As with his appearance now, you wouldn't expect much from this guy, I mean, he alternates from driving a moped and a car every other day! He wears friggin' goggles over his glasses for crying out loud! He was and still is a big fan of bowling, even though he was awful at it before the transformation. He usually won't be that kinda guy who's tired out or anything, but rather the kind who stays up all night trying to get his buddies to do something (granted, he's still sorta like that now.) Boy, did that all change going on with this whole mutation thingy. Hell, he hardly even remembers most of it. While it's not much of a severe case of amnesia or anything, Marty just got hit with the typical side-effects to this whole thing: being dumb, fat, and generally lazy. Of course, he did get some benefits from all this, right? For one thing, he's a whole lot stronger, despite his pudgy appearance and whatnot, even not having to wear glasses due to much better eyesight! Likely so, he's gotten used to these big changes, hardly even remembering his past that much. He's definitely gotten used to this whole change thing, so much so in fact, he's gotten his buddy to go bowling with him! At this point in time, his major problem is trying to find a way to get his video games back, by any means necessary.
Powers: Advanced Strength, Fire Breathing, limited flight, and his personal favorite, a powerful burp, capable of knocking opponents down.
Weaknesses: Ticklish, impatient, lazy, hates long distance walks/flights, fairly dumb.
Other: Even Roman Belic would get annoyed of how much Marty wants to go bowling.
Celtian (Rp'd by Absol)
Name: Celtian "Celt" Shadowmancer
Gender: ♀
Species: Dragon
Age: 15
Appearance: Dark blue scales with piercing ice blue eyes, Celt stands about 5 foot tall, and 15 foot long with a 25 foot wingspan. The membrane within each segment of her wings are a lighter blue-grey, and her horns are a silver in color. Around the edges of her head are small horns, matching the one on her nose. She also has four fin-like spikes on the tip of her tail. Celt also has a dark blue-grey scarf around her neck that is a darker hue of the color of her wing membranes.
Bio: Celtian was bullied in school for many years, and her constant torture made the young girl quiet and shy. Her parents noticed how shy Celt was becoming, so they pulled her out of school and put her into a new school. The only problem was that this school was worse. Celtian grew even more withdrawn, and before long, she didn't even speak to anyone except her closest of friends. Because of this, Celtian was mistaken for mute many times, and only her friends knew what to say in her place. She became dependent of her friends for talking, and she'd wander day by day, never really talking much, at least until she heard the news of the planetoid.
Celtian started whispering to some of the school people trying to get more info, the only problem was, due to her shyness, she stuttered whenever she spoke, which made her hard to understand. She did however get information of a missile with some sort of plate going up to try and destroy the planetoid. As the planetoid grew closer, school was cancelled, so Celt wandered the town, eavesdropping on people to try and see how long till the missile was launched. Eventually the day came for the missile launch, and at midnight, Celt stood in the center of town, in the shadows of one of the buildings.
Like most others, Celtian watched the missile go up, shying away from the bright explosion as it collided. As she began to move away, she took one last glance up at the night sky before dispersing, going off home, thinking it was all over. Over the next few hours Celtian started mutating, thanks to this strange gas that everyone seemed to call 'The Mist.' She grew wings, scales and a tail. She realized what she was becoming - a creature she'd long envied; a dragon. When the EMP pulse destroyed electronics and the anarchy rose, Celt fled her town, looking to see if she could find others like her.
Powers: Flight, Ice, Shadow(The Shadow Power allows Celt to hide in the shadows for a limited amount of time, usually two minutes)
Weaknesses: Very weak to heat/fire. Dislikes light and cannot fight very well.
Other: When she's using her powers, the markings on her head, shoulders and forelimbs glow either light blue or dark grey, for their respective powers.
Phoenix
Avian creatures who seem to come in a wide array of feather colors. Their feather color may or may not indicate what kind of the new energy they can use. They seem to specialize in controlling the new energy, their talons more useful for catching prey smaller than themselves while they are in any fight. Their neck seems to vary between a swan-like long, slender neck, and a hawk-like short, thick neck. Phoenixes are always capable of flight, and are usually good to great at flying. There were originally rumors that phoenixes are immortal, however, they were proven false. Their wingspan can be anywhere from six to sixteen feet in width when fully grown, with their sizes complimenting their wingspan. The males tend to have a crest at the top of their head which is usually a different color than the rest of the bird's feathers.
Accepted Phoenixes:
Gryphon
These creatures are an oddity... their front half usually resembles some sort of bird, while their back half usually resembles the back half of some sort of large cat. They are a type of chimera which is made from only two kinds of animals, rather than the usual three for that species. Both the front and the back half seem to vary drastically, with combinations such as crow / leopard being just as common as the 'typical' eagle / lion. Their feathers and fur match the creature that said half is based on, with the feathers covering up to the chest area on the creature. These creatures tend to be exceptionally fast, yet are usually not very good at controlling the new kind of energy. Their sizes range from two to ten feet long when fully grown.
Accepted Gryphons:
Chimera
A strange creature that is a mix between three or more other creatures and can have up to three heads. These creatures are always of three different orders, making this thing difficult to classify. The creatures that make up the thing can be anything from dragons to wolves to even things such as fish, horses, birds, phoenixes... they can have parts and pieces from practically any multicellular animal mythical or mundane. As such, their colors are usually a patchwork depending on what animals the creature is a mixture of. They are usually oddly quick, yet tend to be somewhat poor at controlling the new kind of energy. Their sizes vary completely, but may be based off of the creatures that make the thing up. Gryphons have been found to be a subspecies of chimera.
Accepted Chimeras:
Trent (Rp'd by Trewqs)
Name: Trent Ennerson
Gender: Male
Species: chimera
Age: 30
Appearance: 2 heads- a 5 meter long boa constrictor on the left, but it usually looks about a meter long, and a rhinoceros on the right. His torso is composed of a giant tortoise shell, which is has a little space in it for the excess length of the boa constrictors neck, and a large pair of bat like wings, which have a wingspan of about 3 meters.He has four legs, most probably a bengal tigers, with webbed toes and claws.
Bio:Trent was an animal lover from the day he was born. He grew up to care for animals almost as much as, if not more than, other people. Oh, he was polite enough, but he always seemed... detached. only around animals did he truly come alive. In collage, he decided to study veterinary medicine, because of his love for animals. After getting his medical degree, he decided to move to west metropolis, and start a pet shop and clinic. It was hard work, and he had very little spare time, but it was worth it.
***
One day, after Trent closed up shop, the animals went berserk. He tried everything he knew, but he couldn't calm them down. He finally gave up, went upstairs to his room, and fell asleep.
***
When he woke up, Trent felt different, he rolled out of bed,and crashed on the ground. He looked in his mirror, and was very confused on what he saw. He soon found out that he wasn't the only one affected all of he animals, his precious, precious animals, were gone. But he moved on, adapting to his new way of life, and even sharing his house with other creatures like him.
Powers: natural abilities of the various parts of his body, enhanced speed and strength, water breathing, and has two brains.
Weaknesses: two brains means twice the pain, slightly socially awkward.partially cold blooded, so he's weak to ice.
Other: a very heavy sleeper
Golem
It's not entirely clear whether these can be classified as animals or not. They tend to be made of one type of material, and seem to have a massive amount of the new kind of energy inside of their typically hollow bodies. They are the only remaining humanoid creature on this planet, actually resembling humans quite a bit. They are actually capable of using the new energy that dwells inside of them, however, they typically only do so in case of an emergency, as using too much of that energy could very easily kill the golem that used it. The materials they can be made of vary... anything from leaves to stone to iron or plastic are plausible. Their sizes are equally malleable, with anything from two inches tall to the size of a skyscraper being plausible... however, they tend to be around fifteen feet tall. Interestingly, they seem to actually grow as if they were animals, however... it's still unclear whether or not they are. They tend to be slow, but capable of withstanding a lot of pain... oddly, this may even be true for a leaf golem.
Accepted Golems:
Tusk (Rp'd by Tando_Oddball)
Name: Tusk
Gender:Male
Species:Golem
Age: 42
Appearance: A fifteen foot stone golem, he has two protruding tusks near his face.
Bio: Tusk used to be a person obviously. He was a middle aged man working in a factory that made shoes. It was a rather boring job and he really didn't like it, but it made good money, enough to feed him. When news of the planetoid came to him he panicked and bought tons of food in case he survived. When the plate hit the planetoid and got rid of it he celebrated and threw a big party for himself.Then the mist came, he began changing violently into a thing of legends, a stone golem. He wrecked his apartment, destroying everything in angry rage before he came to terms with himself, and his new powers. They were amazing, he was slow but incredibly powerful. And he was learning new things every day.
Powers: Powerful- Has the strength of about twelve men Stone hammer- Has the ability to use some of his energy to create a six foot stone hammer, however this does temporarily reduce his power and his strength. Forge- Has the ability to take incapacitated people and to slowly turn them into golems, however this leaves Tusk very weak for about a week's time.
Weaknesses: Bad at talking to people, is too heavy to go to some places, Falls do a lot more damage to him, cannot sneak, given enough heat he can begin to melt [lots of heat] also if enough cold comes to him then he will go into a sleep mode of sorts.Other: No, there is no other.
Dracoavian
A hybrid species that is a mix between a dragon and a phoenix. They always have feathers, though, varying amounts, their front limbs are typically talons with their rear limbs typically being of the reptilian type. They usually have a very dragonlike tail, however, they also have tailfeathers at the very end of that tail. They may actually have a beak in place of a snout, and typically lack horns of any kind. The males seem to have the same feathery crest that phoenixes possess, while also having longer tailfeathers. They don't seem to have any particular strengths or weaknesses when compared to the other varieties of creatures. Baffelingly, they are somehow still viable, capable of producing young... yet stranger is the fact that they're a hybrid species means that they are not of the first generation... scientists are still examining this species, of course, including a few of their own staff, by now.
Accepted Dracoavians
Robert (Rp'd by Lugia)
Name: Robert Morris
Gender: ♂
Species: Dracoavian
Age: 23
Appearance: Robert stands at about 5'7" tall, has sapphire blue scales covering most of his body, with sky blue feathers forming a line down his back which continues to his tail. He also has a lightning bolt design on the left and right side of his body, which starts from the corner of his eyes, and ends at his toes. Robert's feet are now much longer, given that his legs are now are digigrade, similar to how a dog or a cat's legs and feet are. His claws are a jet black color, and almost always seem to be arcing electricity between eachother. The feathers on his crest seem to be more of a white color rather than the sky blue that the rest of his feathers, including his tailfeathers are. The portion of his wings that have muscles and bones are also covered in these sky blue feathers, but otherwise look like ordinary dragon wings with the teal membrane matching his teal underbelly. His arms and hands also resemble bird talons, with feathers covering his shoulders, and the arms being a sky blue, similar to his feathers. His eyes are dragon eyes, and are orange, contrasting his blue scales.
Bio: Robert had a fairly average school life. Sure, he was never popular, and was occasionally picked on by bullies, and the like. Because his parents kept changing jobs and somehow kept changing whether or not they could afford the house they're living in, he had to switch schools every year through his K-12 education. Oddly enough, one of his friends, his best friend Chance always seemed to change schools with him. His mother and stepfather (his 'real' father abandoned Robert at the age of zero) seemed to always end up fighting the school system because of something about 'special needs' or whatever. This made Robert somewhat infamous among teachers and principals once high school came around, however, again, they had to move, this time, all the way to West Metropolis.
This was a huge move from Robert's hometown of Lucky City, and, unfortunately, this also restarted everything his parents had accomplished by fighting the school system, and, as an aftereffect, high school was pretty rough for Robert during the first couple of years. The fact that everyone was freaking out about some planet crashing into Earth didn't help matters that much.
He then went on to graduate from high school, and is now in college, where he doesn't need anything extra from the schoolboard, and he has since moved into his own place... or, rather, is going to. He already had everything of his packed and ready to go.
His mother separated from his stepfather, eventually dating his stepfather's best friend, who then went on to treat Robert horribly, and eventually kicked Robert's twelve year old brother, Jake, out of the house when they temporarily moved in with them. A couple months later, he moved in with his stepfather who also found someone new. Thankfully, the two didn't treat Robert badly, and by that time Jake had already moved in with the two. Robert had finally found a steady job, and was already moving out of his stepdad's place when he noticed an ear-piercing scream, and a bright light. He looked out the window after it was all over, but didn't see anything different. Thinking nothing was wrong, he decided to catch some sleep that night... nothing would prepare him for what would happen to him next.
Eventually, Robert, who was searching for the plate pieces as a dracoavian, came across a world filled with water. He had jumped into the portal to hopefully find the plate piece somewhere close to where the portal sent him, and hoped that he'd land on something soft... well, he got his second wish when he landed face-first in the water. At first, he thought he was going crazy when he noticed that his arms were considerably shorter than they used to be, and his feathers appeared to be taking over more of his body than they used to. He passed out from the pain of an additional transformation before he even noticed what had happened to him... when he woke up again, something was certainly wrong. This problem has since been fixed by a crazy phoenix who was apparently obsessed with science... though, this was kinda forced on Robert, he doesn't mind.
Powers: Robert is capable of controlling electricity and lightning. He is also pretty good at flying, and can breathe fire very well. His claws are sharp, yet short.
Weaknesses: Robert has developed a fear of swords and guns, unfortunately. He also can't handle the cold very well. On top of that, his scales don't protect against much.
Other: This is my Rp, and I'll play it however I want to! er, sorry...
Amorphous
Shapeless, slimy creatures that appear to be hyperevolved ameoba. Their sizes vary completely, and their shape is completely malleable. Interestingly, they are actually multicellular creatues, and actually grow rather quickly. They tend to have a preferred shape, though, obviously, they'll still be one or two solid color or colors, and will still have the same consistency. The most common color of amorphous is actually blue, with red being very rare. They tend to be capable of withstanding a lot of pain, but are typically prone to things such as fire, or cold temperatures. There is no differentiation between males and females, and it is possible that these are actually genderless.
Accepted Blobs:
Milloon (Rp'd by Kabling)
Name: Milloon Hal
lGender: Male
Species: Amorphous
Age: 35
Appearance:
...except purple and black.
Bio:Milloon didn't exactly have a good time being a kid. His father was presumably killed in an accident involving a factory and hydraulics (although personally does not believe it) while his mother was terminal. He tried his best to take care of his mother, but she was beyond depression and being pushed further as Milloon didn't bother to go to school. He was adopted 2 months later after his mother had a heart attack but wasn't prepared for his new parents. One of them was a drug addict and the other was always away on business.His life was endangered when his foster mother attempted to jab him with a cocktail of drugs while having a bad trip, believing him to be 'The Blob' from the movie. The father returned unexpectedly and subdued her, thinking he was some sort of a lizard.
School wasn't bad. He was getting above-average grades and just managing to scrape a degree as a virologist at the CDC. Due to inexperience with a dangerous virus and the working environment there, he was nearly fired for causing a breach and barely managing to contain the situation. Despite this, he continued working, looking through many slides of rabies and such.Eventually, he was promoted to work in a level 4 biohazard environment. Three days into the job and the asteroid was gone. Though, it did seem strange when half his co-workers weren't around, and the rest were locking doors and engaging protocol despite a lack of any breaches. The answer was that the world was infected with... well, nobody knew. It wasn't a virus or anything. It wasn't even visible. It mutated humans into mythical creatures, leading them to suspect it was artificial.About a day in, there was an actual breach. A large dragon was seen outside the doors, bleeding from everywhere and destroying many rooms full of diseases. In the ensuing chaos, only Milloon survived through running out the collapsing room. He was one of the last humans left, becoming another statistic when he failed to escape from the eradication protocol.Of course, he survived, evaporating. As a blob, floating around before settling into another city like a cloud.
Powers: Absorption - When contact is made between Milloon and the living entity, the entity is slowly engulfed into Milloon. Usually cannot get out on its own, depending on size. Absorption is controllable for creatures bigger than a common mouse, whereas amorphous blobs smaller than Milloon and living entities smaller than a common mouse are automatically absorbed. The more mass the entity has, the more mass is gained.
Morph - Can squeeze into tight spaces, make self look bigger (mass is still the same though), disguise, split itself, etc.
Adhesion - Can stick to walls and living entities.
Combustion - Can set self on fire, throwing the fiery bits at enemies. Reduces mass.
Weaknesses: Frost will slow him down until he is incapacitated, actual damage dealt if frost is continually applied.
Other: Human first, blob later.
Animelious:
The animelious are humans or animals that have transformed into larger, more powerful animals, imbuned by the energy from the plate's mist itself. These creatures are known to be good with elemental spells, occasionally being capable of using three or more elements, they also have the senses of the animals they have become. This mist has also effected animals in this way, however, most animals that have become this turn vicious, and are incapable of using any kind of magic. Oddly enough, people who have become one of these only end up as mammals. Canines, felines, and primates are the common varieties, but far from the only kinds. They tend to be incapable of taking too much pain, however.
Accepted Animelious:
Waskom (Rp'd by Waskom.)
Name: Waskom Frost
Gender: Male
Species: Animelious (Kitsune)
Age: 26
Appearance: He is around 1.7 meters high, with 4 large tails, his tails seem to move on their own, even if he can control them. He walks on his hind legs, but seems totally feral if he walks on all fours. He also has paw like hands,
Bio: He lived in a small house near the city of De leon, a town named after Sir Fran Miser De leon. He lived there for around 15 of his 26 years, his family having moved after his father ended up losing his job, and finding a new one. His first love River Heart however, stayed behind, and recently she got married, and they drifted apart, not talking as much. He moved out at 17, renting an apartment near his parents home, as he worked at a hardware store, trying to get enough money to move north. He soon found himself changing however, his mood grew dark, and he was fired, his life starting to feel empty. That was until... he heard about the end of the world, and saw everything nearly come crashing down around him, after they sent up that last missile, he changed for the better, having hope things could get better, seeing as how they came so close to ending.
After that however, he felt odd, and soon, he saw the new world. He saw everyone around him change, all his friends and family had become odd creatures, and he had himself. He headed out, going north after that, trying to find any kind of "normal" city left, someplace that had humans who accepted what he was. He was scared, hell, who wouldn't be? his life was changing so fast, he felt like he was in a dream. He soon reached another town, this time in an area that was nothing but creatures, but at least had order, and working lights. The people seemed to have gotten used to their forms fast, trying to keep life going, not caring about what they were now.
Now he sits in a house, a couple other creatures liek himself living there, trying to act like nothing is wrong. He still wonders what happened, and has a feeling hes going to find out soon.
Powers: He doesn't know it, but he can breath fire, or at least a burst of it. He can also create a strong gust of wind by breathing out, if he focuses on a target. He can also sense the feelings of creatures near him, and tell if they are hostile.
Weaknesses: He can't take a hit to save his life, one good strike and he is down. He has never liked water, and is weak to creatures who use it.
Other: I smell bacon! *Runs into a wall.* Ow... maybe not... maybe it was brick...
Deravan (Rp'd by Evanist)
Name: Deravan Letendre
Gender: Male
Species: Anemelious
Age: 20
Appearance: He now looks like a fox that is as tall as a human if he gets on his hind legs. His fur is light brown with a large green stripe on the back and his tail is dark greenish color. He would have 3 tails instead of 1 to start with, he also has a light green underbelly. He has three feathers near his ears, now, and his eyes are of a light green color. His head itself has a green coloring instead of brown.
Bio:Deravan was born in a small town near West Metropolis. His mother was always at home, taking care of the house and of him, and his father worked in a gaming company as a lead programmer. To this, Deravan always had a lot of fun, cause his dad usually bring back the latest version of the game that they were working on before everyone else even got to touch it. For Deravan, his childhood was always fun, playing with friends, just having plain fun.Though, things changed when he was 12. His mom was ill from a rare sickness, and had to be brought to the hospital. The company his dad worked in closed down, not making enough money anymore. His dad was then stuck as a small programmer in another company, almost not making enough money to take care of his wife and kid. Because of this, Deravan started to get rather nervous at school, and people would saw this. They then started to laugh at him, call him names and sometimes someone would take it too far and attempt to beat Deravan up. The first time, Deravan actually was hurt, but the second time… something in him broke. He punched the guy so hard that the guy fell on the floor, unconscious, his nose bleeding, his head slightly bleeding also. The people at school called an ambulance, and the other kids said that it was Deravan that started it when Deravan said that he did not, that he was being bullied and was going to be beaten up, showing the mark on his shoulder that the other kid did to him. Deravan’s friends tried to tell the teacher that it was actually the other kids that started it, but they would not listen.Deravan was still punished for the hit he did, but it made him think a bit. People were being cruel to him, actually causing him to have trouble… What could he do to even stop them…The next day, his dad, having heard what had happen, told his boss that he had to take care of this, and talked to him. Deravan seemed really sad at that moment, and his dad saw it. He looked into Deravan’s eyes, and they both started to talk, trying to understand what happen. When his father heard what Deravan said, he looked towards the window, slightly angry. He then told Deravan that in his youth age kids use to also laugh at him, that each day it was a pain… What his father did… was actually trick the kids into trying to attack him, and then dodges the attacks and gets one of the teachers to actually see the fight going. This would end up making the other actually get trouble instead of him. To this… Deravan had a little idea. He told his dad that he understood, and that he had a plan that might work…The next day, another kid walked to Deravan, threatening him names, calling him a brainless buffoon. Deravan then put the recorder on, and then waited, before walking away, bored. The kid then ran to him and jumped at him. Deravan moved quickly, and dodged the hit. The kid then got back up and tried to attack Deravan again. It continued until a teacher arrived to stop the fight. The other kid then told the teacher that Deravan actually attacked him and showed the marks from the asphalt. To this, Deravan got the recorder out, and then played back all the insults that he had. The teacher stared at the other kid, and then grabbed his ear, taking him away, mad. The other kids stood there, baffled. They wanted Deravan to get trouble, but seeing how he took care of the situation, they decided to just leave him, seeing that it was best to not mess with him.Weeks later, his mom got out of the hospital, feeling better. Life took a calmer route from then. His friends were happy to see that Deravan seemed back to normal, his dad having gotten a promotion at work and getting the family back into track. Though, deep down Deravan saw how mischievous those kids could be…
He started to be more attentive to details, to see how others reacted. Deep down he was still nervous, but he knew that at least now things would go better.Years passed… Deravan just started to go to college in science, wanting to go and learn more about the world. That… is until the planetoid was seen in the sky. Deravan looked up, knowing that it might be the end of the world. He prayed and prayed that something be done… until that missile was launched. When the thing hit, he opened his eyes, and saw that the thing was gone, but that he felt different. He looked at himself. Nothing seemed wrong. With all those emotions, he went back to sleep, having slight difficulty actually sleeping.In the morning, when Deravan woke up, he saw that he changed…
He had… feathers, and his arms were slightly shorter. It surprised him. What was going on. He looked at the window, only to see everyone were creatures… dragons… phoenix… The world was changed into something else completely. He then heard his mother scream, and rushed down, only to see her as a phoenix. He was extremely confused, and they both looked at each other, not knowing what was going on. His father then walked down the stairs as a dragon, and they both looked at each other. Deravan looked more at himself, seeing that he actually had scales in the back. Just then… the house started to move… creatures attacking the city. Then fire started to move in the house. Deravan moved quickly to the window, and jumped out, until he saw a black phoenix looking at him. It then tried to attack him. Just then his parents got out and attacked the thing.Then his mother yelling to Deravan to run, to get away from here. Deravan got up, wanting to fight, but then his father yelled to run at this moment. He then saw more black figures in the sky coming towards them. Deravan then used his wings and flew up, moving away. He looked down at his parents, sad, and moved away quickly. He just hopes that they would be alright… that they would actually survive these things. Just then, other of the creatures moved towards him, a black talon dragon. He was so surprised, that when he moved to face it, he let out a large wind that pushed the beast back. He then without knowing shot the thing with piercing rocks that imbedded into the dragons body that started to bleed. It then fell out of the sky. Deravan then continued to fly away, scared of what happen. What was the world ending up as?
Powers:He has the ability to fly in the sky, though not as long as phoenix. He also has psychic abilities, able to move objects with his mind.Last, he as basic control over earth and wind.
Weaknesses: Piercing projectiles like rocks would hurt him quite a bit. Also weak to ice.
Other: No… all seems good.
Umbrins
People who've ascended beyond a physical form and have become blurred, three dimensional shadows of their former selves. Often an impression of their eyes remain; glowing a soft yellow, red, or sometimes blue but other than that they're simple shadows. Due to their ascended state they are unable to physically interact with any living being and can shift their form into a two dimensional state which allows them to slip through the tightest of spaces while sacrificing any physical presence they may posses. In both these forms Umbrins are very vulnerable to both magic and light, with the sun simply weakening their abilities. To protect themselves when in their three dimensional state Umbrins will posses objects and 'wear' them, their weaknesses and strengths becoming that of what they own to an extent which is often measured by how well they are covered. What they can posses must be either inanimate or no longer living, some possessing entire corpses in a mockery of having flesh again and items such as gloves also allow Umbrins to 'touch' even if they can't feel. To a minor extent Umbrins have been known to control shadow with magic but the further abilities like this are exploited, the more sensitive the Umbrin will become to light.
Accepted Umbrins:
Dylan (Rp'd by DrAcO)
Name: Dylan Kireal
Gender: Male
Species: Umbrin
Age: 21
Appearance: Now that Dylan is an Umbris, his skin is a charcoal black, his mouth indistinguishable from the rest of the head. He's about 6'2" now that he's mutated, gaining an inch or two. The best thing to talk about would be his hair, which is messy seemingly spiking in every direction. Where his eyes once was glows a bright blue, seemingly mocking his old eye color. You can see where that the t-shirt and jeans he once wore are now part of him, purely through the shadow's outline.
Bio: Dylan was born into a family that could be described as 'Middle-Class'. They weren't rich, nor were they poor, they were in that middle ground between the two. He knew that this was because his parents both worked full time jobs, his Dad even worked two, this led to him having to take care of his two little sisters. He had fun with them, if a little annoyed with them at times. High School was easy enough, he made mostly A's with the occasional B on his report card, Science being his best subject no matter the actual science. He hung out with friends, talking about games, anime, stuff like that. He was always happy and laughing no matter what, making jokes out of touchy subjects to try to cheer people up. This was evident at times because sometimes he would just tire out from this and stayed at home sleeping.
He went to college and began studying for a major in Biology and a major in chemistry, if only for his natural skill in science. He was bored with the basic memorization that he knew since kindergarten. He continued with his studies and hanging out with friends in his free time. Once he heard about a planetoid coming towards Earth that he started feeling mixed emotion.
Fear and, strangely enough, desire.
Sure, the world could end. Sure, nothing was stopping the planetoid. Sure, more likely than not, he was going to die. But, there was something about it, something that actually made him want to see what would happen. It was different form the normal things that happened everyday. It wasn't until all of the attempts to stop it failed that he truly understood that humanity couldn't do anything about it. Until the planetoid exploded. He heard a rumor that they were firing a plate at the planetoid, in a last attempt. He thought nothing of it until the sphere in the sky was gone. He stood in disbelief before going to bed, not even bothering to take off his t-shirt and jeans.
When he awoke, he didn't feel particularly odd. He rubbed his eyes and went to take a shower as he always did in the morning. That's when, as he walked in to the bathroom, he saw that he looked less like a person and more like a shadow. He hurried outside, he had to go see a doctor or something but, he couldn't open the door. He was lucky, he kept most of the doors inside his house open, like his bedroom and bathroom doors, ever since he started living alone. He hurried to a window, one of the ones that lacked the curtains. Outside wasn't any better off than he was. Dragons, Phoenixes, Gryphons, and more mythical creatures walked around. This made him realize something, if the dragons were real, why couldn't he become a shadow? After about an hour of trying, he managed to sink into the floor and slide under the door. This was his life now? A world of monsters? He had to figure things out.
Powers:
1. Shadow Sneaking
2. Possession of dead or inanimate objects.
3. Shadow Magic that increases light sensitivity.
Weaknesses: Weak to light and magic based attacks, can't open doors, and he can't attack without possessing something
Other: (( Two things, lets say I possess a knife, would that knife float (Like in a ghost movie) or would I need wind magic. If I do need wind magic to make things I possess float, can I add it?))
I am open to suggestions from you guys... sorry I couldn't come up with more.
Political Landscape
Light green = Billionaires - 1 out of 4 in each state
Grey = Civil war
Purple = Anarchy
Brown = Civil (still bad as crime in Detroit or South Auckland)
Green = Safe
Red = Mythological Movement-owned states
This map will be updated as factions are created and destroyed.
Currently Available Elements
~~~~~~~~~~~basic elements~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fire - Should be obvious as to what this is.
Water - Again, should be obvious
Earth - This is referring to boulders, and earthquakes, not plantlife
Air - This one should be pretty obvious as well.
~~~~~~~combination elements~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lava - A very powerful element that's a combination of fire and earth... it can easily hurt friends as much as it does foes
Lightning - A combination of fire and air, can be difficult to control, but it's not as bad as lava.
Nature - THIS one is referring to plantlife, also healing.
Ice - While I'd put a description here, it should be obvious.
~~~~~~~~Non-elements~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ordinary - The go-to non-elemental element, most physical attacks fall under this element, as well as a few spells
Obscurity - A rare non-element that is focused on summoning objects using something such as a brush or pencil. It's usually quite exhausting to use, and isn't too great when you first use it.
Void - The rarest of all the non-elements. Those who can use these powers are usually VERY resistant to magic... not so much other non-elements, however.
Darkness - A shadowy non-element that's almost as common as a common element... however, those who use this are usually very good at using magic.
Deravan was still flying in the air, looking everywhere. He had to get away. He saw that some of the creatures were actually chassing him... That or fallowing him a bit too close. He continued to fly, before using a large air pulse from behind, giving himself a small boost to get away.
"At least... I can control the winds a bit..." he told himself. He continues to move quickly, getting away from his persuers. The farther he was getting, the more destruction he was seeing down bellow. When he saw that he was far away, he started to plumet down quickly before landing and almost hitting a garbage can from moving too fast. He stops and breath deeply. Just then he sees in the air the creatures fly away quickly. He was breathing deeply right now, unsure about what he could do next... How did all this happen... Why did everyone change into dragons and pheonix from the myths and legends... He then looked towards a garbage can, and saw a cat, about 3 times the size of a normal cat. It looked at him, intreagued, and Deravan started to move back, unsure.
"Easy... I don't want to get any trouble..." he says. The cat thing then stopped, before hearing something at a distance. It turned its head, and Deravan took the time to fly in the air extremely quickly, and landing on the ruins of a building. What was happenig... Why is there so many creatures that are acting so hostile... Why did everyone change all of a sudden... It was too hard to understand. He had to find others that were not hostile... He knew that alone he would not stand a chance on surviving...
He then though about his parents... How they stopped those creatues.... He just hoped that they would be alright... That they would not end up dead... He cried a bit, before shaking his head. It was no time to be emotional. He just looked down at the streets, acting like a statue, looking everywhere. Golems... Dragons... Chimeras... So many different types of creatures.
A New Earth:
Laboured breaths fogged the helmet as the astronaut lay unconscious, floating around on top of the ocean. He didn't know it, but his species was nearly extinct. Not by war, not by disease, not even by conventional causes. Rather by mysterious forces that flowed around the planet, converting almost everything into a mythical being. For the time being, he was human, the forces not managing to penetrate into his lungs thanks to his space suit. However, it was bulky and fatiguing to use in normal gravity. Not to mention the considerable amount of damage suffered from the space shuttle smashing into the surface of the ocean at terminal velocity. He barely survived, bruises covering his chest and left arm. It wasn't until he washed up on the sandy beaches of West Metropolis, the pain of compressing a bruise waking him up like a burn on an incapacitated person. Oh... Oh god... He breathed painfully and slowly, getting used to the pain within seconds. He pushed himself up, the salty water and blood running off his suit as droplets. He saw where the space shuttle ended up - it literally bounced upon first contact with the ocean, splitting in half as it took down a skyscraper like a sumo wrestler on a tall stack of bricks. He finally noticed the blood. At first, he thought it came from himself. Surprisingly, it came from outside. Oh my bloody... did I break someone into bits? His eyes trailed from his wonky suit onto a large corpse. The thing wasn't even human. It was this... What is it called again? I remember from old literature... It was a dragon. Milloon stepped back, hopping he was either suffering a concussion which in turn caused hallucinations or less likely that he was teleported into another world.
Probability didn't matter - it was the same old Earth with different species. Suddenly, a screech nearly deafened him and nearly cracked his visor. He tried blocking his ears, foolishly remembering he was wearing a suit and his arms couldn't reach inside his helmet. He looked up, pulling down another visor as he nearly burnt his corneas - phoenix? This isn't good. Hallucination or not, it was going to happened. Still barely able to see the thing, he tried to run, only for the suit to make him jog. "You horrible...!?" He quickly assumed it was a girlfriend before focusing on the bigger picture - the whole city was going to hell. It was as if he stumbled onto a city-wide riot. He was quickly knocked to the ground, almost being caved in by his own suit but feeling the horrible burn of his bruises. He was immediately turned onto his back, his visor just barely managing to stop him from being blinded. "Why... how did... why are you human?" It was as if she forgot about her boyfriend, the dead dragon. He managed to speak despite the blinding pain. "Space... no ide..." He barely spoke in agonizing pain. "Uh... uhm... I'll go get help!" As she left, Milloon imagined watching himself from outside of Earth, zooming out like a camera. Milloon Hall here. This'll be my last log...
I run away from the building as it slowly falls to the ground. It literally missed my tail by only inches... Speaking of which... I look around at the city and see that everyone is some sort of creature. By this point, I was really hoping that it's just one of those crazy unexplainable dreams... I look at myself to see what I've become. First of all, I seemed a lot bigger than before. I had wings, and scales all over... It finally dawned on me what I had become. I desperately looked around for someone to help me, but there wasn't anyone why hadn't transformed yet...
Help Me: ...I knew this was a suicide mission. Especially as the ongoing radiation storms was a clear indicator that our mission wasn't going to succeed. Oh well, I guess that happens when humans get desperate. Thank god I'm the only one alive apparently. For now. He thought as a Golem lay him onto a pile of rubble. "How bad is he doctor?" The phoenix asked with a quivering tone. "I have no idea. His suit is preventing me from looking inside. If I take it off... I would've wiped out the last human. Then again, not taking his suit off and treating him will wipe out the last human. Doctors are forced to take an oath... but I can't even handle my own medical equipment without smashing something el-" WOULD YOU JUST SHUT UP ABOUT PHILOSOPHY!? Obviously the doctor wasn't psychic. "Look... just... get me some painkillers... and I'll be... you know..." Milloon spoke, trying to shrug off pain like it was just a bad day. "I can't. Not without subjecting you to the atmosphere. But then-" A wall was blown into bits as if someone went crazy with a bag of explosives. Milloon was somewhat relaxed as some bricks sent the doctor into the wall, ending his philosophy. "Looks like... someone wants to see me..." He said, not sure what he was talking to. "Oh no... this isn't going to be good." She made an understatement. "Where is he!?" Milloon was nowhere to be seen. Not even the phoenix knew where he went.
Milloon noticed an indicator on his helmet. CO2 was dangerous, but nobody knew whether it was worse off than the atmosphere they were currently breathing. He ignored it despite the annoyance, continuing to walk in pain and agony as several bystanders stared at him. "Go... mind your own business..." He spoke, delirious and half-dead. He held onto a rail, barely managing to feel himself. He weighed the pros and cons of taking off his helmet, jokingly thinking about how philosophical he became after listening to the doctor ramble on about risks and rewards. I'm gonna die... and I'm gonna do it with dignity... He lay down on a pile of rubble, head against a stone wall. He took his final breath as the power pole next to him began to sway before breaking free of the cables and zooming onto him.
Deravan continued to look over the ruins of the once beautifull town. Creature all around, some in groups, others slone, hiding. He just did not know what to even do... He breath deeply, trying to think about what he could do. No one probably knew why all this was happening.... He looked around, and did not see any of those creatures from last time. He then started to move down, using his arms to take metal bars, and then lands on the ground. He then tested out his new stone power, moving a large chunk of rock in front of him. He then started to mold it around, forming a blade like stone out of the earth. He smiled slightly, and then slash in the air slightly with his new weapon. Might not last much, but at least it was something he could use if a creature were to rush and attack him. He then started to walk silently in the small streets, moving around the city. He wanted to see if his parents were still there... If they would have fought their way out of those creaturss grasp. He just hoped that they were alright.
I tossed and turned as last night's dreams continued on for just a little while more. Ugh... such pain... how the heck did that even happen in a dream? I ask myself as I finally awaken. I notice that it's light out, again, as usual, and decide to look out the windows, only to see three dragons trying to chase down a phoenix. What the...? I think as I hear someone from behind me shout "Good morning, Robert!" I jumped, and turned around only to find a small, white wyvern staring up at me. "Uh... hey there... fellow." I say, hesitantly to the wyvern who apparently knew who I was. "Huh? Oh come on, Robert... it's Jake. Your little brother." I stare at him for a second, not being much of a morning person didn't help the connection come any sooner. I then shake my head, thinking this was yet another dream. Afterwards, I simply take some clean clothes and head into the bathroom to take my usual shower... well, it was a little early, I was supposed to meet up with my friends today. Once inside, I notice a couple of things... I was apparently no longer human, and was now some sort of feathery dragon... and the clothes I wore last night were completely ruined. Wait... Dad's girlfriend is scared of birds... I have feathers... talons... this might not end too well. I think. I then simply decide to cross that bridge when I get to it, and turn on the shower. Once I do, a huge spark forms due to the water hitting my apparently electricly-charged claws. Thankfully I survived that with no damage, and simply took my shower, as normal, after that.
After my shower, I try and fail plenty of times to put my clothes on this new body. I eventually get the clothes to fit, after wearing my denim pants backwards, leaving the zipper unzipped, but the button buttoned, and cutting a few holes where they were needed in my red shirt. When I finished with that, I take a few deep breaths, and try to think of a few things to say to Berta so she won't freak out once she notices my feathers. Look, I may have feathers, but I'm not a bird... nah... Hey, it's still just me, I'm not going to hurt you, and I swore off scaring you yesterday... that might work... no... hm... were a few of the thoughts running through my head as I carefully walk down the stairs. Once downstairs, I noticea brown, quadrapedal dragon, and a purple wyvern... it was a little obvious, at least to me, which one was Berta, though, why did everyone transform like this? Maybe it's just another dream... I think as I approach the wyvern. "Berta... look, it's still me. Even though I have feathers now, I'm not going to hurt you, okay?" I say to her as calmly sa possible. She then screams and runs upstairs, with dad following her shortly after. Well, that failed. I then think as I look over towards the microwave to check the time. It wasn't working... at all... the display was completely blacked out.... weird. I then decide that I should probably leave, and look back at my wings, grinning at the fact that I can now just fly over to Chance's house.
Once outside, I start running, something that's a lot easier for me, thanks to the fact that I no longer have asthma, and eventually start flapping my wings to start flying. As soon as I was in the air, I notice how messed up the city's gotten. Whoa... what hit this place!? I ask as I continue flying over towards Chance's house. It didn't take too long, considering the fact that I didn't have to follow roads, or terrain, and basically skipped over any and all obstacles that would have otherwise slowed me down. I notice a gryphon hammering away at a sword, and using an anvil as if he were stuck in the middle ages or something. Said gryphon also had a full set of armor on, sans helmet for some reason. He looks up at me, and mumbles something, later shouting "Intruder, leave at once, or face the same fate as the rest of you!" his voice... it was Chance's. "Chance, it's me!" I shout back to him. He wasn't impressed, however, and, much to my surprise, leapt at me, actually reaching me for a moment, and just barely missing with that huge sword of his. Th-that was close... I think as I try to imagine what that could have done to me... that thought made me shiver, and I, almost accidentally, send a lightning bolt towards Chance, apparently hitting him, and apparently doing quite a bit as I hit him with that. No... not like this... I think, hoping that I don't end up killing my best friend.
I lift myself off the ground for a few seconds, then fall on my face. Flying wasn't as easy as I thought it would be... I look around the city, tripping over my own feet a few times, I wasn't used to walking on all fours. There were some creatures fighting, one was wearing armor for some reason. I decided to stay away for now, I didn't want to have to fight anyone. The city was so different... it didn't even feel like earth anymore...
Deravan continued to walk all over the small roads of the city, seeing and hearing shouting snd combst everywhere. He continued to search until he hears someone crying out about a intruder. He quickly moves and then hides, unsure about what was happening, He then looks, only to see a creature that looked like the same race as him and a gryphon. The griffon then tried to attack the other guy. Deravan quickly turned his head, and breath deeply. He wanted to getvaway from there... But that might end up being complicating, cause just then he saw some black figures up in the sky, passing by. He stood there, and waited, hoping to get away from there soon.All this chaos... He just did not know what to do. He wanted to go stop the fight between the 2 creature... But he did not know what he could do, he just observed, unsure, staying in the shadows. If they were to take to the sky, then he could pass by without bring noticed...
Near-Death Experience = Agony:
I stare off into the light, the tunnel leading to a bright future and life. But, something was nagging me... then, it striked me to the point where I back-flipped. It was a near-death experience. I had to resign to my true fate.
Milloon awoke. He felt numb and rather squashed. He blinked several times before slipping out of his suit into the chaotic daylight. He blinked as he stared at himself into an unbroken glass of a shop. He changed. He gulped as the last few patches of his skin turned normal then into a weird gel. He collapsed in defeat, face-palming before struggling slightly as he pulled his hand out of his face. I don't even... He looked back at the pole, his suit crushed beyond recognition. I better get used to this world. It was the last thought he wanted to hear about. Regardless, he navigated the exposed building, running up several steps and narrowly avoiding a falling wing. He wanted to vomit, but his orifices didn't go as deeply as they used to - he had no stomach, heart and other essential organs. He took another step, then suddenly felt a wave of euphoria wash over him. He stepped on something weird and slimy, despite the fact he himself was weird and slimy. Oh... god. He lifted his foot and peered as the blob got sucked into his foot. He felt good and bad about it before refocusing on the stairs.
Upon the final few steps, it collapsed. Milloon fell, somehow feeling more adrenaline from falling this time. However, he hung onto the walls thanks to his Adhesion ability. It was so surprising that he caught on fire, extinguishing himself as he splat into the floor. This is so weird... it's like one of those platform games. He climbed up the wall before getting lazy and sliding up it, his former emotions fading into where all his other bad memories were. He found a dead gryphon, gulping as some blobs engorged on the corpse.
After absorbing all of them on the corpse, he noticed he got slightly bigger. He leaned on the railing of the building, watching as the world went to Hell's way.
I notice a creature across the street also watching the fight. If he saw me... Well I don't know if he'll attack or not. He could probably easily see me from where he was, so I backed up and accidentally hit a car I faceclawed. My plan to escape without anyone noticing just backfired.
Chance takes a breather, and then attacks again, this time throwing his sword at me. I wasn't expecting it, and the thing goes right through my left shoulder. I end up falling down from the pain. "GAH!" I shout as I plummet towards the ground. "Dang it, Chance, why'd you have to think I was an intruder!" I then shout. I notice Chance's sword actually returning to him, somehow as I plummet, quickly slamming right into the cold, unforgiving road. This, of course, knocked me out. "Wow, that was a quick fight." Chance then says, though, he looked over at the other two who were inching their way towards his house as he said this. Chance then pieces all that information together and says "Dang, Robert, you coulda warned me that you were coming early." He then rushes over towards me, and, after patching up the wound he caused, and using some sort of healing magic, he ran back to his house, only to get a bucket filled with ice and water labeled 'In case of sleeping Robert'. He then rushed back, and dumped the icy water all over me, waking me up. "Who, what, when, where...oh, hi Chance... you're not going to attack again, are you?" I then say, after being woken up by the icy liquid. I shiver for just a moment before he says "Nah, sorry about that, didn't think that you'd be early... I mean, you usually wake up at noon on days like this." I chuckle, and get up, only to see Chance draw his sword again, and shout "Reveal yourselves, intruders, and I may not kill you!"
((GAVIN... cars wouldn't work anymore, and neither would their alarms! EDIT NEEDED.))
Deravan heard the griffon yelling and then put his sword in a quickly made slot make out of stone, he moves forwards, calmly, and looks at the griffon, unsure. He saw the dragon from behind, nd wasent sure what to even do.
"I come in peace... I wish i could just fly away, but there are dang black phoenix and dragons in the sky that attack anyone that past... I am sorry if i am intruding... I do not want to cause any trouble..." he then says, unsure about what else he could say. If that grifon were to attsck him, he would have to use a wind burst and get away quickly in the air, taking a risk with the creatures.
My heart almost stopped at the Griffin shouted for us to show ourselves. I thought about just waiting here until he forgot about me, but that probably wouldn't have worked anyway. I slowly come out from behind the building, hoping that he won't try to kill me. I mean, it was hard not to look menacing as a dragon. I would've put my hand up or something, but then I just couldn't walk.
"Hmph... another dragon... I should have known..." Chance says as he gets into a fighting stance. As he attacks the random passerby, I leap into his way, stopping his attack. "Robert! What the heck are you doing?" He shouts at me. "He's... innocent... he's not trying to hurt anyone. You should stop attacking everyone you see." I say to Chance, hurt, but not as hurt as I was last time he attacked. "Hm... maybe you're right..." He responds. Chance then turns his attention towards the icy dragon, and says "You there! You weren't trying to destroy my home, and kill my parents, were you?" I then await the dragon's response adding "Also... what's your name? Uh... sorry about all the... um... inhospitality, earlier." Chance then gives me a confused look from that word that I actually kinda made up on the spot, asking "Is that even a real word?" I shrug, and his attention turns back towards the frozen mystery dragon, who seemed to be afraid of Chance, at the moment. I then hear someone, and Chance looks over for a moment. I then see a sort of mix between a dragon and a bird. "You're kind of an odd one, aren't you...? Er, anyways, don't worry, Chance shouldn't attack you, and I know I won't!" I then say to the creature, later asking "What's your name, sir?" I then look up and notice a few strange figures in the sky, however, I simply disregard them.
((This time, yeah... just continue onwards, please. Also, I kinda assumed that you'd still fly off. :/))
((Anywho, we should continue this in OOC, if you still wish to argue this.))
Deravan looked at the griffon named chance and at the other creature, he breath deeply. When that griffon was going to attack, he almost got his stone sword out... Thank god he did not.
"I am sorry if i startled you... My name is Deravan Letendre. I was just trying to get back home... Wnating to see what happen to my parents and see if they were able to fight off those other creatures..." he then says, looking a bit saddedned. Then, a small tear fell on the floor, only to have a small sprouce grow slowly out of where the tear fell. He stares at it, surprised.
(small sign of his nature magic lol)
I look down at the spruce sapling, and Chance decides to turn around, as well. "I see... well, maybe we could help you with that." Chance says. Oddly enough, I was going to suggest the same thing. "Er, yeah, whoever these guys are, I'm sure we'll have a better shot if there's three of us against them." I then add as I walk towards Deravan. I then hold out my... oddly birdlike talons as if to start a handshake, saying "Name's Robert Morris... and the gryphon over there who fancies himself a smith is Chance White." I then wait for him to accept my handshake, sure, he was still kinda flying, but it didn't really matter. Chance then says "Hey... I'm a good smith... that sword sure cut through you well enough." I ignore him, and accidentally form a small ball of plasma in the palm of my hand. I shout and instantly throw that ball of plasma into the ground... hurting the spruce sapling by accident, and catching it on fire. "Uh... whoops." I then say as I put my hand back where it was, embarrassed.
This was our last hope. During a recent archeological dig, someone has found a plate with the same markings on it as the planetoid. It was a bright, shining gold color with eight jewels embedded around the edges. There was a ninth jewel in the center of the plate, but it looked oddly plain in comparison to the rest. The man wasted no time in giving the plate to the government, who quickly had scientists take a look at the thing. All we had was one missile, and that plate. The scientists were out of ideas, so they simply threw the plate onto the top of the last missile in the world.It was midnight, this was the final hour before the planetoid would crash into our planet, destroying both it and us. Almost nobody could sleep that night with the impending doom looming right over their heads. They finally launched the thing at midnight. The moment the plate made contact with the planetoid, a bright light cloaked the planet, making it look as though it was noon, rather than midnight... and the moment after that, an ear-shattering scream filled the ears of all on the planet, waking the very few who still managed to pass out at a time like this. Once the light dimmed, there was no sign of either the planetoid, or the plate.
It was finally over, and the team that had destroyed the planetoid disbanded, with the nations resuming business as usual, yet, something strange began to happen to the general populace. Everyone started mutating into strange creatures, only moments ago only existing in myths, and other fantasies. This was found to be the cause of a strange mist created by the plate and the still unnamed planetoid colliding. This mist also allowed for strange abilities, called 'magic' by the general populace. Unfortunately, an EMP pulse, the likes of which was never seen before knocked out all electricity-based technology... that, and, with how some people are, anarchy has spread to almost every part of the globe.
Name: ((You have one of these, right?))
Gender: ((Either male or female, usually.))
Species: ((What have they become after the mist got them?))
Age: ((Not too important, but it's there.))
Appearance: ((What do they look like? Simple enough.))
Bio: ((Well? What happened in their life? At least two paragraphs))
Powers: ((What kind of things can they do? Can they breathe fire? Fly? Shoot ice from their fingertips?))
Weaknesses: ((What aren't they good at? Are they weak to fire? Are they horrible at taking an attack?))
Other: ((Anything else?))
Species:
Dragon
Large reptiles who normally posess wings, and are usually capable of flight. Oddly enough, the number of limbs used as their legs is variable... there are almost as many who are two-legged as there are four, or six-legged... some are even gastropods, similar to snakes. Their body shape seems to vary as well, with some having a very long, thin, snakelike body, with others having a shorter, rounder, somewhat lizard-like body. They are typically capable of breathing fire, ice, or something similar, however, they are typically slow on land. The only things that remain consistant among the varities of dragon are the long neck, and, oddly enough, the fact that the older ones seem to grow feathers. Their sizes range between human-sized to about fifteen feet tall (or long) when fully grown. Their scale color usually indicates what kind of power they can use, and the males have two backwards pointing horns on the back of their head, whereas the females have one horn near the tip of their snout. Interestingly, they can have anywhere from one to three heads. Dragons with more than one head are referred to as 'Hydras'
Accepted Dragons:
Gavin (Rp'd by Gavin)
Name: Gavin
Gender: Male
Species: Dragon
Age: 15
Appearance: About ten-fifteen feet (three-four meters) long. Scales are blue, has four legs, wings, and obviously a tail. Has light blue horns around his face and at the tips of his wings. (Basically like my avatar, but I couldn't get a picture.)
Bio: Gavin was abandoned at a very young age at an orphanage. He never knew his parents, and didn't want to anyway. If they were going to abandon him, they at least could've chosen a better place to leave him. This place was horrible. And I don't just mean not enough free time and too much work horrible, I mean they hit the kids because they feel like it horrible. What made it worse is that the people that worked at the orphanage didn't like Gavin very much. According to them, he was the reason why they were short on money with his "constant eating" and "excessive needs." There was only one caretaker there that was nice to him, and she died when he was eight. Police believed that it was murder, but the other caretakers talked them out of it... Gavin only had one friend, Zack, but felt bad about it. Ever since Zack started hanging out with Gavin, he was treated the same way. Both of them knew that it was because of Gavin, but Zack just tried to ignore the fact that the teachers/caretakers/whoever they were called, were treating him worse. When news of the planetoid arrived, the caretakers somehow found a way to blame it on Gavin. (Don't ask me how, those people are just really grumpy). So in the Earth's final days, Gavin was punished ten times a day. If he was lucky. He wasn't sure how he felt about all this, it was a way out of this endless torture, but it was death. Not just for him, but for everyone in the world, including Zack. Nobody could sleep on the night of the impact, when the planetoid would hit the Earth. Somehow though, the governments managed to blow it up. Good news: Everybody was safe. Bad news: Life would continue as normal. Or at least that's what Gavin thought. The next day, everything changed. Gavin woke up late in the day and heard a roar. Normally, people would come and wake him up at 6 am. It was 8. Usually, this meant that something was very wrong. He ran to his window and saw monsters walking the streets. It was chaos. He was about to call the police when he felt an intense pain in his chest. Everything went blurry and he fell over. Suddenly, his body hurt everywhere, but after a minute the pain subsided. Something felt different... Gavin got up and hit the ceiling, making him crash through the wall out of the building and fall three stories down onto the cement. Somehow though, he was unhurt. Gavin then noticed what was different about himself. He did what any sane person would do, he denied it, thinking that it must be a dream. He then realized that it wasn't, and that this was his chance to escape. The building was crumbling to the ground, so there was nowhere to go back to anyway... All that was left to do is run...
Powers: Fire breathing Dragon? Too cliche... How about a lightning breathing Dragon! He can also freeze things.
Weaknesses: Swords. He'll learn to absolutely hate swords. Fire too...
Other: You forgot to put something in the rules to put in the other section.
Name: Marty Torrence
Gender: Male
Species: Dragon
Age: 24
Appearance: Marty's transformation didn't really, uh, work out in the best of his favor, really. I mean, sure, the idea of basically becoming a friggin' Pokemon is pretty killer, but add a few or so hundred pounds, not so much. Rather than being the tall, skinny guy he was before, this whole world collision thingy made him a rather chubby (to say the least) Charizard. Being shorter didn't really help out with this, standing at a height of 5' 6'', and a width enough to round him out quite a bit. Unlike a standard Charizard, this guy's one of them new fangled Mega X variants and whatnot. He's changed to a much more...well, lazy state. Definitely dumbed down a whole lot more, often idly scratching his stomach with one hand and playing video games with the other. Aside from being a more bloated version of your basic new generation Charizard look-alike, uh, he's got a few things from during the time he was human. For example, the bowling t-shirt he wore during his transformation still fits him...as a bandana 'round his neck. As well as the watch just able to fit around his wrist.
Bio: Marty Torrence: fan of video games and spicy foods. Likes long walks on the beach. He's generally the overly-social kinda guy, er was. Y'know the type, that one guy wanting to get everyone together and whatnot, the skinny dude who could eat ten times his weight in food and end up skinnier, and the one who'd spoil most movies and games for you unintentionally. Yup, that's Marty for you. As with his appearance now, you wouldn't expect much from this guy, I mean, he alternates from driving a moped and a car every other day! He wears friggin' goggles over his glasses for crying out loud! He was and still is a big fan of bowling, even though he was awful at it before the transformation. He usually won't be that kinda guy who's tired out or anything, but rather the kind who stays up all night trying to get his buddies to do something (granted, he's still sorta like that now.) Boy, did that all change going on with this whole mutation thingy. Hell, he hardly even remembers most of it. While it's not much of a severe case of amnesia or anything, Marty just got hit with the typical side-effects to this whole thing: being dumb, fat, and generally lazy. Of course, he did get some benefits from all this, right? For one thing, he's a whole lot stronger, despite his pudgy appearance and whatnot, even not having to wear glasses due to much better eyesight! Likely so, he's gotten used to these big changes, hardly even remembering his past that much. He's definitely gotten used to this whole change thing, so much so in fact, he's gotten his buddy to go bowling with him! At this point in time, his major problem is trying to find a way to get his video games back, by any means necessary.
Powers: Advanced Strength, Fire Breathing, limited flight, and his personal favorite, a powerful burp, capable of knocking opponents down.
Weaknesses: Ticklish, impatient, lazy, hates long distance walks/flights, fairly dumb.
Other: Even Roman Belic would get annoyed of how much Marty wants to go bowling.
Name: Celtian "Celt" Shadowmancer
Gender: ♀
Species: Dragon
Age: 15
Appearance: Dark blue scales with piercing ice blue eyes, Celt stands about 5 foot tall, and 15 foot long with a 25 foot wingspan. The membrane within each segment of her wings are a lighter blue-grey, and her horns are a silver in color. Around the edges of her head are small horns, matching the one on her nose. She also has four fin-like spikes on the tip of her tail. Celt also has a dark blue-grey scarf around her neck that is a darker hue of the color of her wing membranes.
Bio: Celtian was bullied in school for many years, and her constant torture made the young girl quiet and shy. Her parents noticed how shy Celt was becoming, so they pulled her out of school and put her into a new school. The only problem was that this school was worse. Celtian grew even more withdrawn, and before long, she didn't even speak to anyone except her closest of friends. Because of this, Celtian was mistaken for mute many times, and only her friends knew what to say in her place. She became dependent of her friends for talking, and she'd wander day by day, never really talking much, at least until she heard the news of the planetoid.
Celtian started whispering to some of the school people trying to get more info, the only problem was, due to her shyness, she stuttered whenever she spoke, which made her hard to understand. She did however get information of a missile with some sort of plate going up to try and destroy the planetoid. As the planetoid grew closer, school was cancelled, so Celt wandered the town, eavesdropping on people to try and see how long till the missile was launched. Eventually the day came for the missile launch, and at midnight, Celt stood in the center of town, in the shadows of one of the buildings.
Like most others, Celtian watched the missile go up, shying away from the bright explosion as it collided. As she began to move away, she took one last glance up at the night sky before dispersing, going off home, thinking it was all over. Over the next few hours Celtian started mutating, thanks to this strange gas that everyone seemed to call 'The Mist.' She grew wings, scales and a tail. She realized what she was becoming - a creature she'd long envied; a dragon. When the EMP pulse destroyed electronics and the anarchy rose, Celt fled her town, looking to see if she could find others like her.
Powers: Flight, Ice, Shadow(The Shadow Power allows Celt to hide in the shadows for a limited amount of time, usually two minutes)
Weaknesses: Very weak to heat/fire. Dislikes light and cannot fight very well.
Other: When she's using her powers, the markings on her head, shoulders and forelimbs glow either light blue or dark grey, for their respective powers.
Avian creatures who seem to come in a wide array of feather colors. Their feather color may or may not indicate what kind of the new energy they can use. They seem to specialize in controlling the new energy, their talons more useful for catching prey smaller than themselves while they are in any fight. Their neck seems to vary between a swan-like long, slender neck, and a hawk-like short, thick neck. Phoenixes are always capable of flight, and are usually good to great at flying. There were originally rumors that phoenixes are immortal, however, they were proven false. Their wingspan can be anywhere from six to sixteen feet in width when fully grown, with their sizes complimenting their wingspan. The males tend to have a crest at the top of their head which is usually a different color than the rest of the bird's feathers.
Accepted Phoenixes:
These creatures are an oddity... their front half usually resembles some sort of bird, while their back half usually resembles the back half of some sort of large cat. They are a type of chimera which is made from only two kinds of animals, rather than the usual three for that species. Both the front and the back half seem to vary drastically, with combinations such as crow / leopard being just as common as the 'typical' eagle / lion. Their feathers and fur match the creature that said half is based on, with the feathers covering up to the chest area on the creature. These creatures tend to be exceptionally fast, yet are usually not very good at controlling the new kind of energy. Their sizes range from two to ten feet long when fully grown.
Accepted Gryphons:
A strange creature that is a mix between three or more other creatures and can have up to three heads. These creatures are always of three different orders, making this thing difficult to classify. The creatures that make up the thing can be anything from dragons to wolves to even things such as fish, horses, birds, phoenixes... they can have parts and pieces from practically any multicellular animal mythical or mundane. As such, their colors are usually a patchwork depending on what animals the creature is a mixture of. They are usually oddly quick, yet tend to be somewhat poor at controlling the new kind of energy. Their sizes vary completely, but may be based off of the creatures that make the thing up. Gryphons have been found to be a subspecies of chimera.
Accepted Chimeras:
Trent (Rp'd by Trewqs)
Name: Trent Ennerson
Gender: Male
Species: chimera
Age: 30
Appearance: 2 heads- a 5 meter long boa constrictor on the left, but it usually looks about a meter long, and a rhinoceros on the right. His torso is composed of a giant tortoise shell, which is has a little space in it for the excess length of the boa constrictors neck, and a large pair of bat like wings, which have a wingspan of about 3 meters.He has four legs, most probably a bengal tigers, with webbed toes and claws.
Bio:Trent was an animal lover from the day he was born. He grew up to care for animals almost as much as, if not more than, other people. Oh, he was polite enough, but he always seemed... detached. only around animals did he truly come alive. In collage, he decided to study veterinary medicine, because of his love for animals. After getting his medical degree, he decided to move to west metropolis, and start a pet shop and clinic. It was hard work, and he had very little spare time, but it was worth it.
***
One day, after Trent closed up shop, the animals went berserk. He tried everything he knew, but he couldn't calm them down. He finally gave up, went upstairs to his room, and fell asleep.
***
When he woke up, Trent felt different, he rolled out of bed,and crashed on the ground. He looked in his mirror, and was very confused on what he saw. He soon found out that he wasn't the only one affected all of he animals, his precious, precious animals, were gone. But he moved on, adapting to his new way of life, and even sharing his house with other creatures like him.
Powers: natural abilities of the various parts of his body, enhanced speed and strength, water breathing, and has two brains.
Weaknesses: two brains means twice the pain, slightly socially awkward.partially cold blooded, so he's weak to ice.
Other: a very heavy sleeper
It's not entirely clear whether these can be classified as animals or not. They tend to be made of one type of material, and seem to have a massive amount of the new kind of energy inside of their typically hollow bodies. They are the only remaining humanoid creature on this planet, actually resembling humans quite a bit. They are actually capable of using the new energy that dwells inside of them, however, they typically only do so in case of an emergency, as using too much of that energy could very easily kill the golem that used it. The materials they can be made of vary... anything from leaves to stone to iron or plastic are plausible. Their sizes are equally malleable, with anything from two inches tall to the size of a skyscraper being plausible... however, they tend to be around fifteen feet tall. Interestingly, they seem to actually grow as if they were animals, however... it's still unclear whether or not they are. They tend to be slow, but capable of withstanding a lot of pain... oddly, this may even be true for a leaf golem.
Accepted Golems:
Tusk (Rp'd by Tando_Oddball)
Name: Tusk
Gender:Male
Species:Golem
Age: 42
Appearance: A fifteen foot stone golem, he has two protruding tusks near his face.
Bio: Tusk used to be a person obviously. He was a middle aged man working in a factory that made shoes. It was a rather boring job and he really didn't like it, but it made good money, enough to feed him. When news of the planetoid came to him he panicked and bought tons of food in case he survived. When the plate hit the planetoid and got rid of it he celebrated and threw a big party for himself.Then the mist came, he began changing violently into a thing of legends, a stone golem. He wrecked his apartment, destroying everything in angry rage before he came to terms with himself, and his new powers. They were amazing, he was slow but incredibly powerful. And he was learning new things every day.
Powers: Powerful- Has the strength of about twelve men Stone hammer- Has the ability to use some of his energy to create a six foot stone hammer, however this does temporarily reduce his power and his strength. Forge- Has the ability to take incapacitated people and to slowly turn them into golems, however this leaves Tusk very weak for about a week's time.
Weaknesses: Bad at talking to people, is too heavy to go to some places, Falls do a lot more damage to him, cannot sneak, given enough heat he can begin to melt [lots of heat] also if enough cold comes to him then he will go into a sleep mode of sorts.Other: No, there is no other.
A hybrid species that is a mix between a dragon and a phoenix. They always have feathers, though, varying amounts, their front limbs are typically talons with their rear limbs typically being of the reptilian type. They usually have a very dragonlike tail, however, they also have tailfeathers at the very end of that tail. They may actually have a beak in place of a snout, and typically lack horns of any kind. The males seem to have the same feathery crest that phoenixes possess, while also having longer tailfeathers. They don't seem to have any particular strengths or weaknesses when compared to the other varieties of creatures. Baffelingly, they are somehow still viable, capable of producing young... yet stranger is the fact that they're a hybrid species means that they are not of the first generation... scientists are still examining this species, of course, including a few of their own staff, by now.
Accepted Dracoavians
Robert (Rp'd by Lugia)
Name: Robert Morris
Gender: ♂
Species: Dracoavian
Age: 23
Appearance: Robert stands at about 5'7" tall, has sapphire blue scales covering most of his body, with sky blue feathers forming a line down his back which continues to his tail. He also has a lightning bolt design on the left and right side of his body, which starts from the corner of his eyes, and ends at his toes. Robert's feet are now much longer, given that his legs are now are digigrade, similar to how a dog or a cat's legs and feet are. His claws are a jet black color, and almost always seem to be arcing electricity between eachother. The feathers on his crest seem to be more of a white color rather than the sky blue that the rest of his feathers, including his tailfeathers are. The portion of his wings that have muscles and bones are also covered in these sky blue feathers, but otherwise look like ordinary dragon wings with the teal membrane matching his teal underbelly. His arms and hands also resemble bird talons, with feathers covering his shoulders, and the arms being a sky blue, similar to his feathers. His eyes are dragon eyes, and are orange, contrasting his blue scales.
Bio: Robert had a fairly average school life. Sure, he was never popular, and was occasionally picked on by bullies, and the like. Because his parents kept changing jobs and somehow kept changing whether or not they could afford the house they're living in, he had to switch schools every year through his K-12 education. Oddly enough, one of his friends, his best friend Chance always seemed to change schools with him. His mother and stepfather (his 'real' father abandoned Robert at the age of zero) seemed to always end up fighting the school system because of something about 'special needs' or whatever. This made Robert somewhat infamous among teachers and principals once high school came around, however, again, they had to move, this time, all the way to West Metropolis.
This was a huge move from Robert's hometown of Lucky City, and, unfortunately, this also restarted everything his parents had accomplished by fighting the school system, and, as an aftereffect, high school was pretty rough for Robert during the first couple of years. The fact that everyone was freaking out about some planet crashing into Earth didn't help matters that much.
He then went on to graduate from high school, and is now in college, where he doesn't need anything extra from the schoolboard, and he has since moved into his own place... or, rather, is going to. He already had everything of his packed and ready to go.
His mother separated from his stepfather, eventually dating his stepfather's best friend, who then went on to treat Robert horribly, and eventually kicked Robert's twelve year old brother, Jake, out of the house when they temporarily moved in with them. A couple months later, he moved in with his stepfather who also found someone new. Thankfully, the two didn't treat Robert badly, and by that time Jake had already moved in with the two. Robert had finally found a steady job, and was already moving out of his stepdad's place when he noticed an ear-piercing scream, and a bright light. He looked out the window after it was all over, but didn't see anything different. Thinking nothing was wrong, he decided to catch some sleep that night... nothing would prepare him for what would happen to him next.
Eventually, Robert, who was searching for the plate pieces as a dracoavian, came across a world filled with water. He had jumped into the portal to hopefully find the plate piece somewhere close to where the portal sent him, and hoped that he'd land on something soft... well, he got his second wish when he landed face-first in the water. At first, he thought he was going crazy when he noticed that his arms were considerably shorter than they used to be, and his feathers appeared to be taking over more of his body than they used to. He passed out from the pain of an additional transformation before he even noticed what had happened to him... when he woke up again, something was certainly wrong. This problem has since been fixed by a crazy phoenix who was apparently obsessed with science... though, this was kinda forced on Robert, he doesn't mind.
Powers: Robert is capable of controlling electricity and lightning. He is also pretty good at flying, and can breathe fire very well. His claws are sharp, yet short.
Weaknesses: Robert has developed a fear of swords and guns, unfortunately. He also can't handle the cold very well. On top of that, his scales don't protect against much.
Other: This is my Rp, and I'll play it however I want to! er, sorry...
Shapeless, slimy creatures that appear to be hyperevolved ameoba. Their sizes vary completely, and their shape is completely malleable. Interestingly, they are actually multicellular creatues, and actually grow rather quickly. They tend to have a preferred shape, though, obviously, they'll still be one or two solid color or colors, and will still have the same consistency. The most common color of amorphous is actually blue, with red being very rare. They tend to be capable of withstanding a lot of pain, but are typically prone to things such as fire, or cold temperatures. There is no differentiation between males and females, and it is possible that these are actually genderless.
Accepted Blobs:
Milloon (Rp'd by Kabling)
lGender: Male
Species: Amorphous
Age: 35
Appearance:
...except purple and black.
School wasn't bad. He was getting above-average grades and just managing to scrape a degree as a virologist at the CDC. Due to inexperience with a dangerous virus and the working environment there, he was nearly fired for causing a breach and barely managing to contain the situation. Despite this, he continued working, looking through many slides of rabies and such.Eventually, he was promoted to work in a level 4 biohazard environment. Three days into the job and the asteroid was gone. Though, it did seem strange when half his co-workers weren't around, and the rest were locking doors and engaging protocol despite a lack of any breaches. The answer was that the world was infected with... well, nobody knew. It wasn't a virus or anything. It wasn't even visible. It mutated humans into mythical creatures, leading them to suspect it was artificial.About a day in, there was an actual breach. A large dragon was seen outside the doors, bleeding from everywhere and destroying many rooms full of diseases. In the ensuing chaos, only Milloon survived through running out the collapsing room. He was one of the last humans left, becoming another statistic when he failed to escape from the eradication protocol.Of course, he survived, evaporating. As a blob, floating around before settling into another city like a cloud.
Powers: Absorption - When contact is made between Milloon and the living entity, the entity is slowly engulfed into Milloon. Usually cannot get out on its own, depending on size. Absorption is controllable for creatures bigger than a common mouse, whereas amorphous blobs smaller than Milloon and living entities smaller than a common mouse are automatically absorbed. The more mass the entity has, the more mass is gained.
Morph - Can squeeze into tight spaces, make self look bigger (mass is still the same though), disguise, split itself, etc.
Adhesion - Can stick to walls and living entities.
Combustion - Can set self on fire, throwing the fiery bits at enemies. Reduces mass.
Weaknesses: Frost will slow him down until he is incapacitated, actual damage dealt if frost is continually applied.
Other: Human first, blob later.
The animelious are humans or animals that have transformed into larger, more powerful animals, imbuned by the energy from the plate's mist itself. These creatures are known to be good with elemental spells, occasionally being capable of using three or more elements, they also have the senses of the animals they have become. This mist has also effected animals in this way, however, most animals that have become this turn vicious, and are incapable of using any kind of magic. Oddly enough, people who have become one of these only end up as mammals. Canines, felines, and primates are the common varieties, but far from the only kinds. They tend to be incapable of taking too much pain, however.
Accepted Animelious:
Waskom (Rp'd by Waskom.)
Name: Waskom Frost
His first love River Heart however, stayed behind, and recently she got married, and they drifted apart, not talking as much. He moved out at 17, renting an apartment near his parents home, as he worked at a hardware store, trying to get enough money to move north. He soon found himself changing however, his mood grew dark, and he was fired, his life starting to feel empty. That was until... he heard about the end of the world, and saw everything nearly come crashing down around him, after they sent up that last missile, he changed for the better, having hope things could get better, seeing as how they came so close to ending.
After that however, he felt odd, and soon, he saw the new world. He saw everyone around him change, all his friends and family had become odd creatures, and he had himself. He headed out, going north after that, trying to find any kind of "normal" city left, someplace that had humans who accepted what he was. He was scared, hell, who wouldn't be? his life was changing so fast, he felt like he was in a dream. He soon reached another town, this time in an area that was nothing but creatures, but at least had order, and working lights. The people seemed to have gotten used to their forms fast, trying to keep life going, not caring about what they were now.
Now he sits in a house, a couple other creatures liek himself living there, trying to act like nothing is wrong. He still wonders what happened, and has a feeling hes going to find out soon.
Weaknesses: He can't take a hit to save his life, one good strike and he is down. He has never liked water, and is weak to creatures who use it.
Other: I smell bacon! *Runs into a wall.* Ow... maybe not... maybe it was brick...
Name: Deravan Letendre
Gender: Male
Species: Anemelious
Age: 20
Appearance: He now looks like a fox that is as tall as a human if he gets on his hind legs. His fur is light brown with a large green stripe on the back and his tail is dark greenish color. He would have 3 tails instead of 1 to start with, he also has a light green underbelly. He has three feathers near his ears, now, and his eyes are of a light green color. His head itself has a green coloring instead of brown.
Bio:Deravan was born in a small town near West Metropolis. His mother was always at home, taking care of the house and of him, and his father worked in a gaming company as a lead programmer. To this, Deravan always had a lot of fun, cause his dad usually bring back the latest version of the game that they were working on before everyone else even got to touch it. For Deravan, his childhood was always fun, playing with friends, just having plain fun.Though, things changed when he was 12. His mom was ill from a rare sickness, and had to be brought to the hospital. The company his dad worked in closed down, not making enough money anymore. His dad was then stuck as a small programmer in another company, almost not making enough money to take care of his wife and kid. Because of this, Deravan started to get rather nervous at school, and people would saw this. They then started to laugh at him, call him names and sometimes someone would take it too far and attempt to beat Deravan up. The first time, Deravan actually was hurt, but the second time… something in him broke. He punched the guy so hard that the guy fell on the floor, unconscious, his nose bleeding, his head slightly bleeding also. The people at school called an ambulance, and the other kids said that it was Deravan that started it when Deravan said that he did not, that he was being bullied and was going to be beaten up, showing the mark on his shoulder that the other kid did to him. Deravan’s friends tried to tell the teacher that it was actually the other kids that started it, but they would not listen.Deravan was still punished for the hit he did, but it made him think a bit. People were being cruel to him, actually causing him to have trouble… What could he do to even stop them…The next day, his dad, having heard what had happen, told his boss that he had to take care of this, and talked to him. Deravan seemed really sad at that moment, and his dad saw it. He looked into Deravan’s eyes, and they both started to talk, trying to understand what happen. When his father heard what Deravan said, he looked towards the window, slightly angry. He then told Deravan that in his youth age kids use to also laugh at him, that each day it was a pain… What his father did… was actually trick the kids into trying to attack him, and then dodges the attacks and gets one of the teachers to actually see the fight going. This would end up making the other actually get trouble instead of him. To this… Deravan had a little idea. He told his dad that he understood, and that he had a plan that might work…The next day, another kid walked to Deravan, threatening him names, calling him a brainless buffoon. Deravan then put the recorder on, and then waited, before walking away, bored. The kid then ran to him and jumped at him. Deravan moved quickly, and dodged the hit. The kid then got back up and tried to attack Deravan again. It continued until a teacher arrived to stop the fight. The other kid then told the teacher that Deravan actually attacked him and showed the marks from the asphalt. To this, Deravan got the recorder out, and then played back all the insults that he had. The teacher stared at the other kid, and then grabbed his ear, taking him away, mad. The other kids stood there, baffled. They wanted Deravan to get trouble, but seeing how he took care of the situation, they decided to just leave him, seeing that it was best to not mess with him.Weeks later, his mom got out of the hospital, feeling better. Life took a calmer route from then. His friends were happy to see that Deravan seemed back to normal, his dad having gotten a promotion at work and getting the family back into track. Though, deep down Deravan saw how mischievous those kids could be…
He started to be more attentive to details, to see how others reacted. Deep down he was still nervous, but he knew that at least now things would go better.Years passed… Deravan just started to go to college in science, wanting to go and learn more about the world. That… is until the planetoid was seen in the sky. Deravan looked up, knowing that it might be the end of the world. He prayed and prayed that something be done… until that missile was launched. When the thing hit, he opened his eyes, and saw that the thing was gone, but that he felt different. He looked at himself. Nothing seemed wrong. With all those emotions, he went back to sleep, having slight difficulty actually sleeping.In the morning, when Deravan woke up, he saw that he changed…
He had… feathers, and his arms were slightly shorter. It surprised him. What was going on. He looked at the window, only to see everyone were creatures… dragons… phoenix… The world was changed into something else completely. He then heard his mother scream, and rushed down, only to see her as a phoenix. He was extremely confused, and they both looked at each other, not knowing what was going on. His father then walked down the stairs as a dragon, and they both looked at each other. Deravan looked more at himself, seeing that he actually had scales in the back. Just then… the house started to move… creatures attacking the city. Then fire started to move in the house. Deravan moved quickly to the window, and jumped out, until he saw a black phoenix looking at him. It then tried to attack him. Just then his parents got out and attacked the thing.Then his mother yelling to Deravan to run, to get away from here. Deravan got up, wanting to fight, but then his father yelled to run at this moment. He then saw more black figures in the sky coming towards them. Deravan then used his wings and flew up, moving away. He looked down at his parents, sad, and moved away quickly. He just hopes that they would be alright… that they would actually survive these things. Just then, other of the creatures moved towards him, a black talon dragon. He was so surprised, that when he moved to face it, he let out a large wind that pushed the beast back. He then without knowing shot the thing with piercing rocks that imbedded into the dragons body that started to bleed. It then fell out of the sky. Deravan then continued to fly away, scared of what happen. What was the world ending up as?
Powers:He has the ability to fly in the sky, though not as long as phoenix. He also has psychic abilities, able to move objects with his mind.Last, he as basic control over earth and wind.
Weaknesses: Piercing projectiles like rocks would hurt him quite a bit. Also weak to ice.
Other: No… all seems good.
People who've ascended beyond a physical form and have become blurred, three dimensional shadows of their former selves. Often an impression of their eyes remain; glowing a soft yellow, red, or sometimes blue but other than that they're simple shadows. Due to their ascended state they are unable to physically interact with any living being and can shift their form into a two dimensional state which allows them to slip through the tightest of spaces while sacrificing any physical presence they may posses. In both these forms Umbrins are very vulnerable to both magic and light, with the sun simply weakening their abilities. To protect themselves when in their three dimensional state Umbrins will posses objects and 'wear' them, their weaknesses and strengths becoming that of what they own to an extent which is often measured by how well they are covered. What they can posses must be either inanimate or no longer living, some possessing entire corpses in a mockery of having flesh again and items such as gloves also allow Umbrins to 'touch' even if they can't feel. To a minor extent Umbrins have been known to control shadow with magic but the further abilities like this are exploited, the more sensitive the Umbrin will become to light.
Accepted Umbrins:
Dylan (Rp'd by DrAcO)
Name: Dylan Kireal
Gender: Male
Species: Umbrin
Age: 21
Appearance: Now that Dylan is an Umbris, his skin is a charcoal black, his mouth indistinguishable from the rest of the head. He's about 6'2" now that he's mutated, gaining an inch or two. The best thing to talk about would be his hair, which is messy seemingly spiking in every direction. Where his eyes once was glows a bright blue, seemingly mocking his old eye color. You can see where that the t-shirt and jeans he once wore are now part of him, purely through the shadow's outline.
Bio: Dylan was born into a family that could be described as 'Middle-Class'. They weren't rich, nor were they poor, they were in that middle ground between the two. He knew that this was because his parents both worked full time jobs, his Dad even worked two, this led to him having to take care of his two little sisters. He had fun with them, if a little annoyed with them at times. High School was easy enough, he made mostly A's with the occasional B on his report card, Science being his best subject no matter the actual science. He hung out with friends, talking about games, anime, stuff like that. He was always happy and laughing no matter what, making jokes out of touchy subjects to try to cheer people up. This was evident at times because sometimes he would just tire out from this and stayed at home sleeping.
He went to college and began studying for a major in Biology and a major in chemistry, if only for his natural skill in science. He was bored with the basic memorization that he knew since kindergarten. He continued with his studies and hanging out with friends in his free time. Once he heard about a planetoid coming towards Earth that he started feeling mixed emotion.
Fear and, strangely enough, desire.
Sure, the world could end. Sure, nothing was stopping the planetoid. Sure, more likely than not, he was going to die. But, there was something about it, something that actually made him want to see what would happen. It was different form the normal things that happened everyday. It wasn't until all of the attempts to stop it failed that he truly understood that humanity couldn't do anything about it. Until the planetoid exploded. He heard a rumor that they were firing a plate at the planetoid, in a last attempt. He thought nothing of it until the sphere in the sky was gone. He stood in disbelief before going to bed, not even bothering to take off his t-shirt and jeans.
When he awoke, he didn't feel particularly odd. He rubbed his eyes and went to take a shower as he always did in the morning. That's when, as he walked in to the bathroom, he saw that he looked less like a person and more like a shadow. He hurried outside, he had to go see a doctor or something but, he couldn't open the door. He was lucky, he kept most of the doors inside his house open, like his bedroom and bathroom doors, ever since he started living alone. He hurried to a window, one of the ones that lacked the curtains. Outside wasn't any better off than he was. Dragons, Phoenixes, Gryphons, and more mythical creatures walked around. This made him realize something, if the dragons were real, why couldn't he become a shadow? After about an hour of trying, he managed to sink into the floor and slide under the door. This was his life now? A world of monsters? He had to figure things out.
Powers:
1. Shadow Sneaking
2. Possession of dead or inanimate objects.
3. Shadow Magic that increases light sensitivity.
Weaknesses: Weak to light and magic based attacks, can't open doors, and he can't attack without possessing something
Other: (( Two things, lets say I possess a knife, would that knife float (Like in a ghost movie) or would I need wind magic. If I do need wind magic to make things I possess float, can I add it?))
Currently Available Elements
~~~~~~~~~~~basic elements~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fire - Should be obvious as to what this is.
Water - Again, should be obvious
Earth - This is referring to boulders, and earthquakes, not plantlife
Air - This one should be pretty obvious as well.
~~~~~~~combination elements~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lava - A very powerful element that's a combination of fire and earth... it can easily hurt friends as much as it does foes
Lightning - A combination of fire and air, can be difficult to control, but it's not as bad as lava.
Nature - THIS one is referring to plantlife, also healing.
Ice - While I'd put a description here, it should be obvious.
~~~~~~~~Non-elements~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ordinary - The go-to non-elemental element, most physical attacks fall under this element, as well as a few spells
Obscurity - A rare non-element that is focused on summoning objects using something such as a brush or pencil. It's usually quite exhausting to use, and isn't too great when you first use it.
Void - The rarest of all the non-elements. Those who can use these powers are usually VERY resistant to magic... not so much other non-elements, however.
Darkness - A shadowy non-element that's almost as common as a common element... however, those who use this are usually very good at using magic.
Working on my first IC post))
"At least... I can control the winds a bit..." he told himself. He continues to move quickly, getting away from his persuers. The farther he was getting, the more destruction he was seeing down bellow. When he saw that he was far away, he started to plumet down quickly before landing and almost hitting a garbage can from moving too fast. He stops and breath deeply. Just then he sees in the air the creatures fly away quickly. He was breathing deeply right now, unsure about what he could do next... How did all this happen... Why did everyone change into dragons and pheonix from the myths and legends... He then looked towards a garbage can, and saw a cat, about 3 times the size of a normal cat. It looked at him, intreagued, and Deravan started to move back, unsure.
"Easy... I don't want to get any trouble..." he says. The cat thing then stopped, before hearing something at a distance. It turned its head, and Deravan took the time to fly in the air extremely quickly, and landing on the ruins of a building. What was happenig... Why is there so many creatures that are acting so hostile... Why did everyone change all of a sudden... It was too hard to understand. He had to find others that were not hostile... He knew that alone he would not stand a chance on surviving...
He then though about his parents... How they stopped those creatues.... He just hoped that they would be alright... That they would not end up dead... He cried a bit, before shaking his head. It was no time to be emotional. He just looked down at the streets, acting like a statue, looking everywhere. Golems... Dragons... Chimeras... So many different types of creatures.
Laboured breaths fogged the helmet as the astronaut lay unconscious, floating around on top of the ocean. He didn't know it, but his species was nearly extinct. Not by war, not by disease, not even by conventional causes. Rather by mysterious forces that flowed around the planet, converting almost everything into a mythical being. For the time being, he was human, the forces not managing to penetrate into his lungs thanks to his space suit. However, it was bulky and fatiguing to use in normal gravity. Not to mention the considerable amount of damage suffered from the space shuttle smashing into the surface of the ocean at terminal velocity. He barely survived, bruises covering his chest and left arm. It wasn't until he washed up on the sandy beaches of West Metropolis, the pain of compressing a bruise waking him up like a burn on an incapacitated person. Oh... Oh god... He breathed painfully and slowly, getting used to the pain within seconds. He pushed himself up, the salty water and blood running off his suit as droplets. He saw where the space shuttle ended up - it literally bounced upon first contact with the ocean, splitting in half as it took down a skyscraper like a sumo wrestler on a tall stack of bricks. He finally noticed the blood. At first, he thought it came from himself. Surprisingly, it came from outside. Oh my bloody... did I break someone into bits? His eyes trailed from his wonky suit onto a large corpse. The thing wasn't even human. It was this... What is it called again? I remember from old literature... It was a dragon. Milloon stepped back, hopping he was either suffering a concussion which in turn caused hallucinations or less likely that he was teleported into another world.
Probability didn't matter - it was the same old Earth with different species. Suddenly, a screech nearly deafened him and nearly cracked his visor. He tried blocking his ears, foolishly remembering he was wearing a suit and his arms couldn't reach inside his helmet. He looked up, pulling down another visor as he nearly burnt his corneas - phoenix? This isn't good. Hallucination or not, it was going to happened. Still barely able to see the thing, he tried to run, only for the suit to make him jog. "You horrible...!?" He quickly assumed it was a girlfriend before focusing on the bigger picture - the whole city was going to hell. It was as if he stumbled onto a city-wide riot. He was quickly knocked to the ground, almost being caved in by his own suit but feeling the horrible burn of his bruises. He was immediately turned onto his back, his visor just barely managing to stop him from being blinded. "Why... how did... why are you human?" It was as if she forgot about her boyfriend, the dead dragon. He managed to speak despite the blinding pain. "Space... no ide..." He barely spoke in agonizing pain. "Uh... uhm... I'll go get help!" As she left, Milloon imagined watching himself from outside of Earth, zooming out like a camera. Milloon Hall here. This'll be my last log...
((Theme song:
...I knew this was a suicide mission. Especially as the ongoing radiation storms was a clear indicator that our mission wasn't going to succeed. Oh well, I guess that happens when humans get desperate. Thank god I'm the only one alive apparently. For now. He thought as a Golem lay him onto a pile of rubble. "How bad is he doctor?" The phoenix asked with a quivering tone. "I have no idea. His suit is preventing me from looking inside. If I take it off... I would've wiped out the last human. Then again, not taking his suit off and treating him will wipe out the last human. Doctors are forced to take an oath... but I can't even handle my own medical equipment without smashing something el-" WOULD YOU JUST SHUT UP ABOUT PHILOSOPHY!? Obviously the doctor wasn't psychic. "Look... just... get me some painkillers... and I'll be... you know..." Milloon spoke, trying to shrug off pain like it was just a bad day. "I can't. Not without subjecting you to the atmosphere. But then-" A wall was blown into bits as if someone went crazy with a bag of explosives. Milloon was somewhat relaxed as some bricks sent the doctor into the wall, ending his philosophy. "Looks like... someone wants to see me..." He said, not sure what he was talking to. "Oh no... this isn't going to be good." She made an understatement. "Where is he!?" Milloon was nowhere to be seen. Not even the phoenix knew where he went.
Milloon noticed an indicator on his helmet. CO2 was dangerous, but nobody knew whether it was worse off than the atmosphere they were currently breathing. He ignored it despite the annoyance, continuing to walk in pain and agony as several bystanders stared at him. "Go... mind your own business..." He spoke, delirious and half-dead. He held onto a rail, barely managing to feel himself. He weighed the pros and cons of taking off his helmet, jokingly thinking about how philosophical he became after listening to the doctor ramble on about risks and rewards. I'm gonna die... and I'm gonna do it with dignity... He lay down on a pile of rubble, head against a stone wall. He took his final breath as the power pole next to him began to sway before breaking free of the cables and zooming onto him.
I tossed and turned as last night's dreams continued on for just a little while more. Ugh... such pain... how the heck did that even happen in a dream? I ask myself as I finally awaken. I notice that it's light out, again, as usual, and decide to look out the windows, only to see three dragons trying to chase down a phoenix. What the...? I think as I hear someone from behind me shout "Good morning, Robert!" I jumped, and turned around only to find a small, white wyvern staring up at me. "Uh... hey there... fellow." I say, hesitantly to the wyvern who apparently knew who I was. "Huh? Oh come on, Robert... it's Jake. Your little brother." I stare at him for a second, not being much of a morning person didn't help the connection come any sooner. I then shake my head, thinking this was yet another dream. Afterwards, I simply take some clean clothes and head into the bathroom to take my usual shower... well, it was a little early, I was supposed to meet up with my friends today. Once inside, I notice a couple of things... I was apparently no longer human, and was now some sort of feathery dragon... and the clothes I wore last night were completely ruined. Wait... Dad's girlfriend is scared of birds... I have feathers... talons... this might not end too well. I think. I then simply decide to cross that bridge when I get to it, and turn on the shower. Once I do, a huge spark forms due to the water hitting my apparently electricly-charged claws. Thankfully I survived that with no damage, and simply took my shower, as normal, after that.
After my shower, I try and fail plenty of times to put my clothes on this new body. I eventually get the clothes to fit, after wearing my denim pants backwards, leaving the zipper unzipped, but the button buttoned, and cutting a few holes where they were needed in my red shirt. When I finished with that, I take a few deep breaths, and try to think of a few things to say to Berta so she won't freak out once she notices my feathers. Look, I may have feathers, but I'm not a bird... nah... Hey, it's still just me, I'm not going to hurt you, and I swore off scaring you yesterday... that might work... no... hm... were a few of the thoughts running through my head as I carefully walk down the stairs. Once downstairs, I noticea brown, quadrapedal dragon, and a purple wyvern... it was a little obvious, at least to me, which one was Berta, though, why did everyone transform like this? Maybe it's just another dream... I think as I approach the wyvern. "Berta... look, it's still me. Even though I have feathers now, I'm not going to hurt you, okay?" I say to her as calmly sa possible. She then screams and runs upstairs, with dad following her shortly after. Well, that failed. I then think as I look over towards the microwave to check the time. It wasn't working... at all... the display was completely blacked out.... weird. I then decide that I should probably leave, and look back at my wings, grinning at the fact that I can now just fly over to Chance's house.
Once outside, I start running, something that's a lot easier for me, thanks to the fact that I no longer have asthma, and eventually start flapping my wings to start flying. As soon as I was in the air, I notice how messed up the city's gotten. Whoa... what hit this place!? I ask as I continue flying over towards Chance's house. It didn't take too long, considering the fact that I didn't have to follow roads, or terrain, and basically skipped over any and all obstacles that would have otherwise slowed me down. I notice a gryphon hammering away at a sword, and using an anvil as if he were stuck in the middle ages or something. Said gryphon also had a full set of armor on, sans helmet for some reason. He looks up at me, and mumbles something, later shouting "Intruder, leave at once, or face the same fate as the rest of you!" his voice... it was Chance's. "Chance, it's me!" I shout back to him. He wasn't impressed, however, and, much to my surprise, leapt at me, actually reaching me for a moment, and just barely missing with that huge sword of his. Th-that was close... I think as I try to imagine what that could have done to me... that thought made me shiver, and I, almost accidentally, send a lightning bolt towards Chance, apparently hitting him, and apparently doing quite a bit as I hit him with that. No... not like this... I think, hoping that I don't end up killing my best friend.
I stare off into the light, the tunnel leading to a bright future and life. But, something was nagging me... then, it striked me to the point where I back-flipped. It was a near-death experience. I had to resign to my true fate.
Milloon awoke. He felt numb and rather squashed. He blinked several times before slipping out of his suit into the chaotic daylight. He blinked as he stared at himself into an unbroken glass of a shop. He changed. He gulped as the last few patches of his skin turned normal then into a weird gel. He collapsed in defeat, face-palming before struggling slightly as he pulled his hand out of his face. I don't even... He looked back at the pole, his suit crushed beyond recognition. I better get used to this world. It was the last thought he wanted to hear about. Regardless, he navigated the exposed building, running up several steps and narrowly avoiding a falling wing. He wanted to vomit, but his orifices didn't go as deeply as they used to - he had no stomach, heart and other essential organs. He took another step, then suddenly felt a wave of euphoria wash over him. He stepped on something weird and slimy, despite the fact he himself was weird and slimy. Oh... god. He lifted his foot and peered as the blob got sucked into his foot. He felt good and bad about it before refocusing on the stairs.
Upon the final few steps, it collapsed. Milloon fell, somehow feeling more adrenaline from falling this time. However, he hung onto the walls thanks to his Adhesion ability. It was so surprising that he caught on fire, extinguishing himself as he splat into the floor. This is so weird... it's like one of those platform games. He climbed up the wall before getting lazy and sliding up it, his former emotions fading into where all his other bad memories were. He found a dead gryphon, gulping as some blobs engorged on the corpse.
After absorbing all of them on the corpse, he noticed he got slightly bigger. He leaned on the railing of the building, watching as the world went to Hell's way.
Chance takes a breather, and then attacks again, this time throwing his sword at me. I wasn't expecting it, and the thing goes right through my left shoulder. I end up falling down from the pain. "GAH!" I shout as I plummet towards the ground. "Dang it, Chance, why'd you have to think I was an intruder!" I then shout. I notice Chance's sword actually returning to him, somehow as I plummet, quickly slamming right into the cold, unforgiving road. This, of course, knocked me out. "Wow, that was a quick fight." Chance then says, though, he looked over at the other two who were inching their way towards his house as he said this. Chance then pieces all that information together and says "Dang, Robert, you coulda warned me that you were coming early." He then rushes over towards me, and, after patching up the wound he caused, and using some sort of healing magic, he ran back to his house, only to get a bucket filled with ice and water labeled 'In case of sleeping Robert'. He then rushed back, and dumped the icy water all over me, waking me up. "Who, what, when, where...oh, hi Chance... you're not going to attack again, are you?" I then say, after being woken up by the icy liquid. I shiver for just a moment before he says "Nah, sorry about that, didn't think that you'd be early... I mean, you usually wake up at noon on days like this." I chuckle, and get up, only to see Chance draw his sword again, and shout "Reveal yourselves, intruders, and I may not kill you!"
((GAVIN... cars wouldn't work anymore, and neither would their alarms! EDIT NEEDED.))
"I come in peace... I wish i could just fly away, but there are dang black phoenix and dragons in the sky that attack anyone that past... I am sorry if i am intruding... I do not want to cause any trouble..." he then says, unsure about what else he could say. If that grifon were to attsck him, he would have to use a wind burst and get away quickly in the air, taking a risk with the creatures.
My heart almost stopped at the Griffin shouted for us to show ourselves. I thought about just waiting here until he forgot about me, but that probably wouldn't have worked anyway. I slowly come out from behind the building, hoping that he won't try to kill me. I mean, it was hard not to look menacing as a dragon. I would've put my hand up or something, but then I just couldn't walk.
"Hmph... another dragon... I should have known..." Chance says as he gets into a fighting stance. As he attacks the random passerby, I leap into his way, stopping his attack. "Robert! What the heck are you doing?" He shouts at me. "He's... innocent... he's not trying to hurt anyone. You should stop attacking everyone you see." I say to Chance, hurt, but not as hurt as I was last time he attacked. "Hm... maybe you're right..." He responds. Chance then turns his attention towards the icy dragon, and says "You there! You weren't trying to destroy my home, and kill my parents, were you?" I then await the dragon's response adding "Also... what's your name? Uh... sorry about all the... um... inhospitality, earlier." Chance then gives me a confused look from that word that I actually kinda made up on the spot, asking "Is that even a real word?" I shrug, and his attention turns back towards the frozen mystery dragon, who seemed to be afraid of Chance, at the moment. I then hear someone, and Chance looks over for a moment. I then see a sort of mix between a dragon and a bird. "You're kind of an odd one, aren't you...? Er, anyways, don't worry, Chance shouldn't attack you, and I know I won't!" I then say to the creature, later asking "What's your name, sir?" I then look up and notice a few strange figures in the sky, however, I simply disregard them.
((Anywho, we should continue this in OOC, if you still wish to argue this.))
"I am sorry if i startled you... My name is Deravan Letendre. I was just trying to get back home... Wnating to see what happen to my parents and see if they were able to fight off those other creatures..." he then says, looking a bit saddedned. Then, a small tear fell on the floor, only to have a small sprouce grow slowly out of where the tear fell. He stares at it, surprised.
(small sign of his nature magic lol)
I look down at the spruce sapling, and Chance decides to turn around, as well. "I see... well, maybe we could help you with that." Chance says. Oddly enough, I was going to suggest the same thing. "Er, yeah, whoever these guys are, I'm sure we'll have a better shot if there's three of us against them." I then add as I walk towards Deravan. I then hold out my... oddly birdlike talons as if to start a handshake, saying "Name's Robert Morris... and the gryphon over there who fancies himself a smith is Chance White." I then wait for him to accept my handshake, sure, he was still kinda flying, but it didn't really matter. Chance then says "Hey... I'm a good smith... that sword sure cut through you well enough." I ignore him, and accidentally form a small ball of plasma in the palm of my hand. I shout and instantly throw that ball of plasma into the ground... hurting the spruce sapling by accident, and catching it on fire. "Uh... whoops." I then say as I put my hand back where it was, embarrassed.
