Steiner dropped his shields, covered in blood, though nobody knew if it was ETG soldier's blood or his own, it was most likely both, considering he was still grasping an ETG soldiers head in his hand, tossing the head over towards Jordan's direction Steiner quickly grabbed a whole bunch of rapture plant and shoved it in his ingredients sack, hoping the plant didn't have a scent. Walking back over to Jordan. standing straight up and towering over him he puts his hand on his shoulder. "Ye owe me two new barrels lad. and a good shower." Steiner said looking down on him, picking up the head he tossed and putting it in Jordan's hand. "Ere, a present fer ye."
Jordan stares at the severed head for a moment before dropping it wordlessly. Which group do I fit into... I could be all of them except transport. His reverie is interrupted by a forceful grab of his shoulder. A plucky ETG girl with short auburn hair stood before him holding a tablet expectantly. "Well?! What's your Gift?! I don't have time to wait around!" She says testily, tapping her foot impatiently. "Err, I'm a magic user..." He says reflexively, taken aback. "Oh really? That's excellent! How good are you at creating sigils, glyphs, runes all of that? You know, activated magic. Traps, you could say." She asks him with an intrigued look, furiously tapping away at her tablet. "...I am capable of those, yes." He says. "Then you're going in group C! Don't forget! Oh and don't forget to gear up and rest a bit, you look worn out." She smiles and rushes away to find an unprocessed Gifted.
That was... sudden. Hmm, I might as well acquire one of those uniforms for myself. Jordan walks over to the equipment area and changes into a uniform. It fit well, and was surprisingly comfortable. I'm glad they had several different styles, some of the choices I would never wear. Spandex... no. Next, he takes a look at the makeshift armory. Long tables were arranged with dozens of varieties of bladed weapons, and racks of firearms stood nearby. More exotic weaponry was also to be found. Many other Gifted I don't need much, but I'll take a pistol and a knife... It's a long shot, but they might carry magic weapons. After extensively looking over table after table of odd equipment, he feels a hint of mana emanating from a nondescript black square of metal. It's the size of a pack of cigarettes. He picks it up and examines it closely. It appears to hold a storage of mana, with capacity for vastly more. This could come in handy. He pockets the capacitor and joins Group C, asking around until he finds it. A circle of chairs is arranged, with some people sitting, others standing.
Steiner was leaning on one of the vans, drinking from his flask when he was asked if he was a physical gifted based on his strength. "What? No lad, and ye ain't putting me in any group, lemme drink me liquor and pass out, it's been a rough day, and I highly doubt I'm fitting into one o those little outfits ye wear." Steiner said taking another drink. "Oh and do me a favor and spray me down wit a hose lad, I got all this blood on me and frankly I reek." Steiner said with a bit of a laugh.
I go over to the gear table, and look at the various different options. "One good thing about working with a nigh-genocidal government agency who really wants to kill you - they have good style and they have variety," I thought as I perused the armor. I eventually came upon one uniform that was leather. I like leather. I took it and put it on, and then went over towards a very VERY long table with many different kinds of weapons on it. I picked up one sword. It's blade was about as long at my arm, which was average length for an adult male, and it was very light. The blade was notched, and it was very sharp. It's blade only had one edge, like a katana. "Hm. Could be useful," I said, running my finger along the flat side of my blade.
I perused the rack of firearms, and found a grenade launcher. "Heh, now we're talking," I said. My blade was sheathed at my hip, and the grenade launcher was strapped to my back. I looked at some of the other weapons on the rack, and raised an eyebrow. They looked pretty... cruel.
I walked over towards Fabian, and nodded determinedly. "I'm ready. What group am I in?" I asked.
---
[Kayne]
I picked up a sword off the weapons rack, and it looked downright twisted. It looked illegal in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. It was perfect for me. I took it and strapped it to my back, and waited for further instructions.
---
[Sky]
"Swords. Lots of swords. Sweet," I said, taking two sword. One of them looked like a machete, except it was a switchblade. Another one was a very long, slender sword. "This should be enough," I said as I awaited further instructions.
---
[Mefist]
I ambled over towards Fabian, and pulled out my massive knife. "I want to join the ETG," I told him, using the knife to pick my nails. "I can infiltrate dreams. Name's Mefist, and that's all you need to know about me," I said in a low, slightly snarly voice.

"It's time to test out the new artillery. Deliver message: Murasa: Aggravate the weather."
Your loyal drones clamber about you, flying in concert to carry out your vile goals.
Vile?
You shut down the error and head toward the elemental faction building. It's time to test out the accumulated firepower.

You're enjoying the slaves when Aaron bursts in floating on some kind of ridiculously technological platform, telling you it's time. You suppose it'll be nice to let loose for once. You haven't done that in a long time.
After grabbing Mimmy, you make a quick trip up to the top of the elemental faction building right on time to find clouds starting to form. Aaron hands you something that looks like it reads power levels and commands you to put it on. Doing so, you notice it's a targeting system, showing you the direction, distance, even exact coordinates of your preset target location. It seems he wants you to demolish some house outside of Brinkhaven. You can't say you know anything about this house, but you suppose that makes it easier. You sure as hell aren't giving up the lap of luxury just yet in any case, that's for sure. Aaron instructs you to fly into the clouds and you do, flying above the cloud levels (getting drenched and somehow managing to not get struck by lightning) as you had discussed previously. He left out some details the last time he told you about it, but you suppose there's no point in whining about it now. Communicating through the targeting system, he positions you into some angle and when you hit the perfect spot your targeting scouter's cross-hairs change colors. The system shows that you have a direct line of sight of the cabin/house with both the clouds and Mimmy, standing atop the elemental faction building, in-between. He commands you to let loose and so you do.
((hmmm its about to go down i guess i should atleas give kira some sort of weapon))
Sensing Silvira's death stare Kira decides to wonder over to the weapons table. She finds a rather beautiful Damascus steal pocketknife.
The Captain strides into the HQ, and with one flowing sweep of his arm, drains the room of water and perfectly dries all of the surfaces to a condition fit for a meeting. The train of people fill into the room and gather around the large, round table.
The Captain : " So we have lost ALL communication with our people situated in Brinkhaven after that flash occurred? "
CDR : " Yes, No responses from any of them."
The Captain : " And we're sure this is not just a mass crackdown from the Factions? "
CDR : " Definitely, all other means of communication to the normal population have ceased as well. I did ask the Bandits, and they reported similar results. "
The Captain : " LCDR! Pull a team together and check out the front gate, we may as well check it out and see if Brinkhavens gonna be a wreck or not. --- Hold on, ETG message...
--
Alright seems like we're teaming up with them. I guess this works out, since you deal with them regularly."
LCDR : " I'll get to it. Edonis, Curtis, Gildas, and uhh actually lets all go. All the bandits are going apparently from this message I just got and... we really can't get one upped by them."
The Captain : "Fine. WE LEAVE AT DAWN!"
[Cabar]
After finishing his rather bland croissant from the quickly diminishing pile, He strode over to the tables of weaponry laid out, available for whoever grabbed it first. He took one look at the firearms racks and a table filled to the edges with various guns and explosives before performing a mental shake of the head, where he then moved onto the knives and rather vicious looking blunt instrument were laid before him. Ignoring the blunt instruments of ETG death, he scanned the rows of lethal knives, taking note of several he approved of. Another person was there as well, eyeing a rather boring looking Damascus steel pocketknife. Cabar settled on taking 7 identical blades, each about a foot long. He slid three of them into holders on the left and right insides of his jacket to fill the slots emptied by the Brinkhaven police. The seventh knife, he stuck a thread from his wrist to it, and began to spin it vertically in a circle, building up speed as he walked towards a lone tree by the encampment. Once he drew level with it, he drew his arm back and flung it towards the tree, letting go of the threaded knife in the process-- A hunting technique he often used on his prey. The whirling blade soared across the grass and landed with a loud *thunk* as it drove into the hard bark of the tree.
Remembering Fabian's mention of "Trapping" and "Group C", Cabar meandered over to the specified group and stood next to some hipster wearing glasses. Taking a look over the hipster's gear, he realized the hipster was decked out in some fancy ETG attire. Cabar had none of this sweet ETG, and internally frowned, disliking the style. He wandered away from Group C, looking slightly lost. Not before long, a "plucky ETG girl with short auburn hair" approached him and said in a cheerful tone "Need something? You look a lost." Cabar tilts his head slightly and says "ETG stickers?" The girl quickly materializes a strip of ETG logo stickers and tosses them to Cabar before walking off in search of her next victim. Peeling the stickers off and applying them to his sleeves and jacket front, he crumpled the plastic strip the stickers were mounted on and tossed it into a trash bin on his way back to Group C. ETG has no time for litterers, and neither does Brinkhaven. He slides up next to the hipster again and pretends not to notice him and his fancy new outfit. Obviously more hip than the hipster would ever be.
((Gee thanks spacebar, since when did you automatically post the post when I pressed you.))
David pops up in his typical manner, “You know Silvira shes not that much worse than you. Or have you forgotten why you ended up working for Greta?” He looks down at Silvira with a disapproving but not angry face.
She practically jumped out of her hardened-fur-covered skin, subconciously backing away with eyes wide and tail twitching. In fact, more than her tail was twitching; she was trembling slightly all over, she realized fairly quickly. I need a fix, she thought, then crouched slightly, ears flattening in shame. Not much worse than me... And I sure as heck know I'm nowhere near perfect... She lowered her eyes with shame, tail still twitching. 'No... No, I haven't... I, I don't know who you are, or why you know... About my past... But rest assured.. I havvn't..." She says quietly, quietly enough that nobody other than this... person? creature? could hear. She was a little surprised she wasn't more afraid of him; he looked like most depictions of death itself. And... Didn't she recognize that voice?
“You don’t recognize me do you? I'm David, the man with the book. And I know your past because I was there the day you killed him,” he crouches down his face level with Silvira's, “I watched as his own daughter killed him. Now I happen to know that you both have crippling addictions. You to rapture, her to pain you can either help each other, or you can continue to hate her and see where that goes.”
Her eyes widen even farther, frightened now, she crouched, tail swishing from side to side behind her. "You... I..." She fumbled for words, shocked and distressed. "I.. I didn't know... I..." She looked away, ashamed. "I'm sorry." She whispered.
He sighs attempting to pat her on the head in an apologetic manner, “I keep forgetting how intimidating I am now. Look right now she's just as scared as you are. She has no where to go and no one to talk to. If she doesn’t get help she'll be right back out working for someone like Greta.”
She flinched a little with every pat on her head, her ears flattening against her skin. Intimidating... You think? She nodded, looking down. "I understand..." She said quietly.

You turn your head to the left.
A flash of light appears before your eyes, an enormous, all-consuming wall of sheer light just a dozen trees away. You have to duck and shield your eye from the rapid splintery debris and dust thrown every which way, covering your other eye- the one currently not on your person with your other hand.
Soon enough the dust settles and what's left before you, just past some flaming trees is a cratered, blighted landscape. You stand up and, carefully navigating the meager flaming tree line remaining, make your way to the crater.
smoke is rising from the ground. To the right you can see where the blast begins, the clipped, flaming trees still standing. To the left you see an impressive tunnel. It gets dark fairly quickly, so you can't see the end of it, but you'll be damned if a blast that can tunnel a bit through Earth isn't something to look out for. Opposite the blighted crater is a graveyard and in it are... 1, 2, 3, 4... 8 people lying on the ground and panting heavily.
Your plant is telling you that it likes the one in glasses and a lab coat. You find this peculiar.
You're about to walk around the blight when you see someone behind you with a cheeky (if a bit suspicious) smile on his face and a lei around his neck. He's sipping something probably alcoholic from some kind of wine glass and wearing formal wear, full-blown with a tuxedo.
You feign ignorance... for the moment, at least.
[Akira]
You walk up next to some purple haired girl surrounded by thorns and whistle. This was some impressive stuff. You leave Brinkhaven for one... month... right after the last vacation...
Okay, so you've been gone a while. Still, you never expected to see a crater this large with a half the other faction leaders laying down panting in a graveyard so soon after you got back.
Guess you're just lucky like that.
You look at the girl next to you for the first time and find a Rose where one of her eyes should be. She's staring at you with a rather blank expression. She strikes you as the kind of girl who's box of cares are completely empty.
"Hey~"
"Hey."
"My names Akira, what's yours?"
"...Eliza."
"Would you like to meet my friends there?"
"...Yes?"
You grabbed her by the wrist and dragged her across the crater. Lucky you, it had cooled down quite quickly.
