"Glamour? Oh, right! That magic that hides things. Like my tail." Lily quickly got in on the train at Taylor's request quickly sitting herself down. She then glanced at the vampires, and pondered why everyone couldn't just get along. "Is it really as bad as they say, though? From what I'm getting, all the hate is just inherited." Frowning, she glances at the vampires once more. "Like those guys. I'm guessing you've never seen them before. It's just like racism." The train finally starts moving, the first line of advertisements already scrolling past the windows. Soon enough, the lights were just glowing lines, as the train was well on its way. "You live with guys? Doesn't sound all too nice to me. Girls are nicer." Leaning back on the seat, Lily absentmindedly stared at the ceiling, humming softly to herself. "Hmm, don't mind that silly old tail of mine. It's nothing much, really." Turning her head around to face her, Lily smiled. "Tell me more about the shadowhunters, Taylor."
"Yes a glamour. Believe it or not, none of these people see your tail, they probably see a fake one you could get from that hot topic store, I like that store," Taylor says eyeing the vampires but looking at the window. "I met those guys once before, they got mad I killed their friend after he dragged me into an alley and tried to kill me. Against the accords that is, so I had to kill him. That lot came in and then dashed off after my friend Paige showed up. She's saved me so many times, and acts like a mother, two in one. Live with her too..." Taylor says and looks over at lily. "Well, we uphold the accords, kill demons, kill or punish downworlders that have broken the law after a trial, by the angel um... We protect mundanes, I don't know to describe us really," she says.
((This took me a while, but here it is . Put a fair bit into this character and I must say I rather like him .
Name: Ian Cabrera Age: 22 (Appears 19) Gender: Male Race: Vampire Warlock Mark: I have moose antlers coming out of everywhere XD! Sexual Preference: Heterosexual Loyalty: A small clan of vampires currently living in the New York subway system. Personality: Ian has a bit of a split personality, most of the time being charming, honorable, and for the most part nice. Whenever this demeanor becomes threatened though, he becomes cruel, spiteful, and sadistic, throwing his morals out the window to pursue his wants. He enjoys helping others, in return expecting their help when he needs it and doesn't mind getting his hands dirty while he does whatever it is. The flaw here is he doesn't mind who it is he's helping, playing both sides if you will, and at times can become manipulative should he be put in a position that allows him to do so. Biography: It happened about three years ago, me being turned I mean. She was beautiful, you should have seen her; I mean at first I thought I was dreaming when we started to date. It was in fact too good to be true though, and before I knew what happened I had become her servant. It went on like that for a few months, catering to her every whim and following her around like some sort of dog. Looking back on it, I still can't believe I some how liked it back then.
Then I got hit by a bus. Yup, no cool battles or encounters with werewolves for me. I was just plain hit by a bus. It was funny, I thought that was the end for me. Thank god I wasn't cremated because that wouldn't have gone well, thankfully though I was buried and as soon as the sun fell I dug myself out. Don't remember much of that night; I think I killed two people before I was detained by a Shadow Hunter. I was lucky he didn't kill me right then and there, thankfully though he realized my situation even though I failed to and waited for me to calm down rather than behead me. He explained to me what I was, what I could do, and listened to my story of how I had got in such a place.
Apparently what had been done to me was illegal now a days, and I was more then happy to help the Shadow Hunter track down my ex and bring her to justice. This proved to be more harmful then it was helpful though, as when the leader of the clan she was in discovered I had helped, he made sure I was never allowed inside Hotel Dumort ever again. For the next few nights I wandered alone, visiting the butcher shop often to try and sustain myself by buying the bloodiest cuts of meat they had. It wasn't working out well though, and I was getting desperate. I decided to ambush someone, wait down at the subway station late at night and jump someone when they were alone. I found something even better that night though; a fellow vampire who wasn't a part of the Dumort clan. His name was Thomas, and in what I assume was an act of pity took me to where he and the other members of his clan had been living for the past few months, an abandoned railway line deep in the bowels of New York.
Their leader was named Rebecca, a demanding young woman who was the leader of about seven vampires who ether were kicked out of Dumort or wanted no part of the place. With Thomas there to convince her, I was welcomed into the clan and within a few weeks was actually starting to feel like one of them. Needless to say I lost my job and in turn my apartment, considering everyone thought I was dead. I managed to steal a few of my belongings before they were taken away though, and brought them down into the dark tunnels I now called home. It was a nice set up; a pitch black cavern devoid of human life, a few run down and broken subway carts we could sleep in, one clan member working the night shift at a butchers shop and another being a night guard at the local blood bank.
It was nice, and finally after three years I've fully become involved in the hidden world that before this I knew nothing about. Since I first joined, members have come and gone from Rebecca's clan which today has about twenty-four members. Since we get a lot of the scum vampires and rejects we'll sometimes loose members or be forced to send them away for behavior that might be considered unacceptable to some. In the three years I've been here though, I've managed to rise through the ranks and have become one of Rebecca's most trusted missionaries, almost a messenger of sorts for her. Though my old life may have been fine, this one's just as nice. Appearance:
Ian often wears a pair of slightly worn and baggy jeans, as well as a pair of black and red runners. His jacket has a hood and his eyes are more of a brown then grey Weapon of Choice: I favor my teeth and claws but anything blunt and easy enough to wield one handed will do. Wouldn't want to waste any of that crimson gold, would we? Other: Rebecca's clan though small is strong and recently has become very territorial over the subway tunnels they reside in. Only recently have people begun to become more aware of them as a whole and are beginning to make things difficult for both werewolves and other vampires wanting to ride the rails. Some have suggested they simply be flushed out but after living down there for years the dark tunnels of the transit system have become their domain. Whether or not more serious or diplomatic efforts will be made has yet to be decided, though for now one must ride the rails with caution. Oh, and I'm still reading The Infernal Devices
Pretty good right ?))
(Its kind of a duh moment if anyone for a second thought this app was going to be denied. Accepted definitely. I like the part about him getting bit by the bus I'll as your app to the front in a bit, but just as a reminder, you may not control the npcs, I'll do them and add the New York subway vampire clan to the front as an option. See you soon IC :))
((Awesome :D. And I promise I'll only control my character but I just want to give you food for thought. What if you change the rule so players can't control NPC that aren't already being managed by another player. This would give players a little more freedom and I know it's not much now but later on you'll have far less to manage ;). It's what I see a lot of RP's do and it helps make for both longer and more interesting posts. Just food for thought though :P))
((I'll show you an example really quick and I'll keep it in brackets so it doesn't actually happen, alright. I'll even bold the parts where I control an NPC to any extent.))
(("Do you see it yet?" Franqui asked, apprehensive as for what was to come. "The subway train sporting two flood lights on the front? No, I don't," I muttered with an agitated undertone, scanning ahead for the tell tail lights. Rebecca's influence had been spreading for the past few weeks, and as a clan we now owned about half of the subways system railways. One of us has even managed to get a job working for the scheduling department so we now know what trains go where and when.
It's a peculiar thing; whenever there's something wrong down here in the passageways we've claimed you could almost smell it. A bitter and pungent musk that penetrates your subconscious and sends you into defense mode. Only about ten minutes ago, I'd been playing Scrabble with a few of me mates when Rebecca walked right over and told us there were a few Dumort vampires that needed to be taken care of. So off we went, me, Franqui, and Cole, to figure out where they were going and send them a message before they got there. You can't tell how many just from the smell but I'd imagine there to be four at most, only two if we're lucky.
"I tink I seeyit," Cole muttered, pointing down the long and bismal tunnel. He was right, the lights were there and it was time to get ready. Quick as lightning we all jumped off the floor and crawled our way onto the high ceiling, our claws digging into the concrete as if it were no more then styrofoam. I was sure we could take whoever was inside, considering we had a pretty solid team. Franqui, though thin and curvy, was incredibly agile and as a mortal actually taught jujutsu to teenagers. Try and claw out those dark green eyes and she'd twist your arm behind your back and throw you to the ground, all without you managing to touch a single strand of her chestnut brown hair. Cole on the other hand was a big guy, and getting hit by him was like being hit by a bus, I should know. He's not the fastest vampire out there, and his stocky build tends to make him a bigger target but look past the thick and dirty strands of pitch black hair that cover his eyes and you'll see the undying beast that lives within those crystal blue pools. Though Cole was about three years older then me, and Franqui was only a year younger they were both more than happy to listen to me as the leader of this little squadron, and when I gave the word we all dropped like stones.
"Ready, ready, ready, ready, ready, ready, shoot," I hissed, me and my teammates dropping down onto the roof of the subway cart we were sure the intruders were hiding in. "When was Liam going to cut- oh, there we go," Franqui asked, shutting up the moment the lights went out. Before beating the sh!t out of any intruders we always had the power cut for a minute or two so we could get the message across that we owned these tunnels. Not only that, but it helped make sure any mundanes didn't see what they didn't need to.
With a screech of protest, Cole pryed a set of doors apart from the roof, allowing me and Franqui to dive right in and face the intruders head on. Cole followed shortly after, and seeing as the cart was practically empty it only took a moment for us to see them, and them to see us. Adrenaline pumping through my veins, my fangs unsheathed themselves and my claws grew sharper as me and my comrades charged towards the other vampires, anticipating the blood bath that was to come. We never killed them unless nessecary, we just pulped them up real bad and sent them home crying.))
((So that hasn't happened, but see how I only use minimal control over the two NPC's with me, and the only piece of control I used on the vampires you made being a natural and 100% logical response. If You don't like it, I'll make a new post after breakfast but it's going to be tricky if I can't control NPC's to some extent. I'd never be sent by myself to do this, and waiting for you to be Franqui and Cole would take several posts of back and forthness. As owner, you reserve full rights to control any and all NPC's at a moments notice but I think giving players some control is good :). I'm off to eat breakfast now, so if you approve then consider it my IC post and if you disapprove then I'll return and wright up something new :)))

((Bobert, I'm going to be allowing all the staff to control npc's. At the moment I'd like for you to be a moderator. If you would, that'd be great. You'd be able to control npc's and make sure people follow the rules. I have had too much experience with people creating thirty or forty npc's and getting too crazy with it. I left the rp but it was still horrible. The post above is approved. So the vampires in the subway car are from the dumort and I'll take care of them. :)))

Taylor curses colorfully as she takes out her witchlight stone when the power cuts out and holds it up to look around. She had a night vision rune, but witchlight was much stronger. Vampires were getting into the car. She'd heard about the clan in the subway, but wasn't quite sure where to look. There were no mundanes thankfully on this car, leaving just the vampires, her, and Lily. "Stay here," she whispers as she stands and moves to send a knife spinning to land right next to the lead vampire of the charging teams face. "No fighting. You know you aren't to fight in public or during the day, don't make me take more action," she says and raises her cell phone before pocketing it again and eyeing the vampires. She never liked them, they were always annoying... Her strength and speed runes would help her, but they were always just a bit faster...
Before we'd managed to reach the other vampires, someone pulled out a witch light which momentarily blinded me, though didn't stop us. Not a moment later though a knife flew right in front of my face, causing me to grind to a hault with Franqui bumping into my back when I did. I glared down the cart to where the witch light emanated from, glaring at the Nephilim who was only a short distance away. She was young, but smelled like every other Shadow Hunter did. She was with a warlock as well, which made me question the nature of her being down here in the first place.
After she had finished her little lecture, I raised an eyebrow quizzically towards her before smiling. "Ether you're really brave, or really stupid. I can respect that Nephilim, so I'll do as you say," I told her, backing down and taking a seat on one of the many empty chairs opposite the Dumort vampires. Franqui quickly takes a seat next to me, while Cole prefers to stand. "We could rip her throat out easy, they'd never find her," she hisses, only audible to me thanks to my enhanced hearing. "Then every Shadow Hunter in the area would be after us. I'm not going to put the clan in danger like that," I replied, using the same, barely audible tone. By now my fangs and claws had retracted, and I had calmed myself down a fair bit. Looking over at the Dumort vampires, I figured I could at least tell them the reason we'd come here.
"You're trespassing, mates," I begun, looking over at the group of vampires. "This is our territory, and if the Shadow Hunter wasn't here to protect you you'd all be paying dearly. Now I want you to deliver a message to Raphael when you get home, and be thankful I didn't need to wright it in your blood. This is our domain, and if any of you jack@$$es think you can get away with trespassing you have another thing coming. I don't give a sh!t if it's sunny out, you better find somewhere else to hide for the day," I told them, a venomous undertone clinging to my every word.
"While I'm at it, Rebecca had a message for the institute as well," I reminded myself aloud, turning towards the Shadow Hunter and flashing her a toothy smile. As I did so the lights came back on, dampening the effects of the witch light dearly. "She'd like to meet with someone, discuss her terms of your people using the subway. I'd imagine you'd understand why she'd prefer to have the meeting down here, maybe later today if it's convenient," I told the young Shadow Hunter, passing on the message I was meant to deliver tonight.

Taylor smiles slightly. "You can take me to Rebecca after I drop the Warlock off in Brooklyn. Now, you vampires are idiots to have crossed into their territory. Tell Raphael that you did, and tell him he's lucky I don't send the clave after the lot of you. You know it's against the accords to trespass..." she says to the vampires that didn't belong here. One moves to come at Taylor, but another holds him back. "Get off," is all she says and the get off the train grudgingly as it pulls into an empty station. Nobody gets on and soon enough, er're on our way again. "I'd like to think of myself as, amazing," she says smiling at the vampire like she'd seen Camille Belcourt smile. She hated that vampire... "So tell me, why aren't the lot of you in Raphaels clan? He isn't all that terrible last time I checked," she says lounging in the subway cars seats casually. She puts her witchlight away and motions to the knife, "Toss it over here if you will," she says not wanting to get up to get it.
John Who does he think we are? Hill shadowhunters! John thought “We have every weapon from bows to axes to knives” John said keeping his anger under the surface, “Follow me to the training room” John said and without even looking to see if Leo would follow him walked towards the training room.
"I got it," Cole grumbles, walking over to fetch the knife before under handing it towards you. "Raphael believes I'm a traitor," I explained, looking back on the memory bitterly. "I'd rather not say," Franqui excused herself, rubbing the back of her head nervously. I knew it had been the fact that she'd once hijacked a blood-mobile, strictly against the accords, and when Raphael found out she was sent away for fear it would mean trouble for his clan. She was a valuable asset though, and under the terms she never did something that stupid again she'd been welcomed into our clan. "I tried to kill him," Cole growls, still standing in the middle of the aisle. The fact that you hardly ever saw the mans eyes made him sort of creepy to be around, though none the less he was a good friend.
"All that aside, I suppose I can wait for you at the station if you really want to take on this task, kid. Cole, do you think you might be able to go give Rebecca a heads up?" I asked, turning to the wall of a man standing only a short distance away. "Can do," he replied gruffly, prying open the door again and giving me a half hearted salute before jumping out. "I suppose I should introduce myself. My name's Ian, nice to meet you," I told her, smiling at both the shadow hunter and warlock. "And I'm Franqui," Franqui butted in, grinning slyly at the two. I knew she was still thinking about jumping them, but thankfully I knew she'd be able to restrain herself.

"Taylor Herondale, Lily. Lily here is still getting used to our wonderful twisted world, so I'm taking her to Magnus so she can learn about us all better," Taylor responds sheathing the knife. "And I'm almost seventeen, and could probably take you if I wanted to. I can see you're wanting a taste of shadhunter blood Franqui, I'd dare you to try to take a bite, but you wouldn't get far. Now, Ian, it's not to meet you too, you're quite civil. What are you, a couple hundred years old?" she asks sitting up to look at the vampire. He looked like he could be a couple years older than Taylor herself, though that could mean anything for certain downworlders.
I laughed lightly for a moment, both at how Franqui snapped back up in her seat when Taylor saw trough her and her guess at my age. "I've actually only been a vampire for about three years now," I corrected her, still finding such a gross overestimate to be amusing. "Only a few of us are actually much older then that. Nobody knows for sure with Rebecca but our oldest member is only a hundred and twenty-something," I explained, figuring it could do no harm. Most of us were young, yes, but with such a tight knit community to support each other we developed our abilities quickly. I had already mastered shape shifting as it would have it, able to become a rat, bat, and more recently dust. It may not be as handy as a wolf but it was exceptionally useful at times.
"I didn't mean to insult your capabilities, Taylor. It's just that I'm going to be taking you to my clan leader, who not only is far more powerful then myself, will have at least fifteen other vampires there with her. It's a big job, and normally Nephilim don't go alone to these sort of events. All I'm saying is perhaps you should call up a friend on that cell phone you showed me earlier," I warned her, thinking about her safety rather then trying to make our clan sound intimidating. A lone shadow hunter, especially one so young, might prove to be too tempting for a few of the members of our clan with less self control. They'd definitely think twice if another were to be with her, watching her back and in turn watching theirs.((Cloudy, this could be a nice time for you to jump in and offer your assistance or something as thanks for Taylor's help ;)))

(No shapes hitting dude. You ain't Dracula :))
Taylor shrugs. "Yeah well, paige is going to Idris, and the two guys are well, really difficult for me to handle. I'll get Magnus to come with us if you're so insistant I bring someone. I've already been inside the hotel Dumort. I ca be incredibly irresponsible and so, I like to exercise once in a while," she laughs. "I don't associate with many vampires, escpecially one as young as you. I can hold my own in a clan of vampires, even more so when the clan doesn't wan to get in trouble with the clave. You know, even a group of us wouldn't come into your nest if all of you are there. We should meet at a station, where I can get away if I want to, and not be take to be torn apart," she says standing as the train slows. "Now, I'll call up Jamie to have her meet me somewhere now that I think about it to then go meet with your leader. But seriously Ian, even as you think you've seen what I can do or think you know, you know nothing," she says becoming serious as she motions for lily to come with her off the train bringing her cell phone out to call her parabatai.(Shape shifting, not hitting...)
((It says they can shape shift into those three things right on the mortal instruments wiki under powers and abilities. If that's not enough then I have an example; back in the first book when Jace and Clary needed to rescue Simon, the whole reason for such a misunderstanding was due to the fact that one of the vampires mistook Simon for one of his drunk friends. So yes, shape shifting. If I remember correctly Ralpael said sonething about how most vampires avoid being bats as it is a stereotype :P. I could be thinking about something else though. Anyways, it would be something one would need to learn with practice though, just like every other ability ;)))
((Will post IC in a bit, just needed to say that :P))
I couldn't help but smile when her tone changed to a more serious undertone. I knew the Nephilim were strong, but down here we had the homefield advantage. "I'll be waiting at this station," I called after her as she pulled out her cell phone. Once she left a few people began to climb on and I turned to Franqui as I, myself stood up. "Would you mind asking Rebecca if we could have the meeting in the transformer room about a hundred feet down from here? I think that's a good place, don't you?" I asked her, about to step off the train. "Sure thing. We're going to finish our Scrabble game when you get back, right?," she asked, pouting flirtatiously as she liked to do. "You know it. See you later," I replied, stepping past a greasy looking man who was climbing onto the train.
Once I was off the subway I looked around briefly before finding a nice place to wait over against a wall. I wasn't worried about getting caught for loitering, I could easily trick mundanes into leaving me be. And so began my wait for Taylor to return, taking out my cell phone and begging to play brick breaker like I always did to pass the time. Before long the train began moving again, and was off to it's next destination.

As they emerge from the subway, Taylor sees a familiar face. "Magnus, what are you doing here?" Taylor asks as they emerge from the subway to come face to face with the bejeweled warlock. "Well, I'm going to Central Park and I'm taking the subway," he responds as if its the most obvious thing in the world. "Couldn't you just portal there?" Taylor asks confused. Magnus thinks about it before shrugging. "I could, but I don't really want to," be says and takes notice of lily. "A new warlock eh? Well, I know why Taylor brought you to me, so lets go so I can explain," he says looking too excited for something like this. Taylor rolls her eyes as Magnus moves to lead the warlock away. "Bye lily," Taylor calls as she goes back down the stairs slightly confused still. "Ian, Jamie won't be on the street and on her way for another five or ten minutes, so lets go ahead," Taylor says approaching the vampire calmly. She hated it when people didn't take her seriously. "She can track me to find me and where we went when she comes," she explains motioning for him to stand.
(When cloud gets back, his character will be with Magnus and they can talk. You can go ahead and take he underground and I'll have Jamie come late.)
((That post had a lot of errors in it Julie :P. I think I figured it out but you might want to try and repair it if you can ;). I'll post IC later, I'm busy with moving a few things in the basement and need to get it done before my dad gets home :)))

(It wasn't an extraordinary amount, but I fixes it. I'm always on my phone and was in a rush to get to a rehersal I ended up not having. So now I'm going home to study something I don't quite understand and do work for a business. Yay... :P)(But I get to stay on the forums.)
"That was quick," I muttered, pausing my game and putting the phone away. Sure, our main den wasn't too far from this line of track but even with Franqui's speed it would be at least ten minutes before Rebecca got to the meeting point if she even decided to come. "I was expecting you to take longer," I explained, standing up to face her. Looking over I saw the last cart of the subway disappearing down the tracks, and hanging down from the roof was Franqui. "I see," she began, "you were just trying to get rid of me."
In a single, well practiced motion she jumped down onto the platform, glancing around really quick to ensure there were no mundanes around to see. "I didn't know she would be so quick to return," I defended, smiling causually as if to indicate what I had said was a lie. Franqui just frowned, punching me in the arm when she got near enough. "Ouch," I joked, eliciting a frustrated growl from the vampiress. "Don't be like that, you're no fun when you're grumpy," I laughed, patting her on the shoulder before walking towards the loading platform.
Glancing down both tunnels briefly, I jumped down onto the tracks, careful not to touch the third rail. "If you never made it then we're expected back home!" I called, walking opposite the direction the last train had gone. It may have been against the Shadow Hunter's wishes in terms of a meeting place but I honestly didn't feel like going through all the trouble. It would be easier just to take her to the nest.
<Taylor>
"You might want to pull out your witch light. It's a bit of a walk and you could trip on something if you aren't careful," Franqui tells you, rushing down to the platform and jumping off it, quickly catching up with Ian who was already a short ways down the tunnel.

"Well, we uphold the accords, kill demons, kill or punish downworlders that have broken the law after a trial, by the angel um... We protect mundanes, I don't know to describe us really," she says.

Who does he think we are? Hill shadowhunters! John thought “We have every weapon from bows to axes to knives” John said keeping his anger under the surface, “Follow me to the training room” John said and without even looking to see if Leo would follow him walked towards the training room.
Woop. Unimportant stuff here.

((Just quoting to get his attention. Yes I looked at his profile, he's a dude))

((Will post IC in a bit, just needed to say that :P))

Once I was off the subway I looked around briefly before finding a nice place to wait over against a wall. I wasn't worried about getting caught for loitering, I could easily trick mundanes into leaving me be. And so began my wait for Taylor to return, taking out my cell phone and begging to play brick breaker like I always did to pass the time. Before long the train began moving again, and was off to it's next destination.

(When cloud gets back, his character will be with Magnus and they can talk. You can go ahead and take he underground and I'll have Jamie come late.)

<Taylor>
"You might want to pull out your witch light. It's a bit of a walk and you could trip on something if you aren't careful," Franqui tells you, rushing down to the platform and jumping off it, quickly catching up with Ian who was already a short ways down the tunnel.
