Welcome to LionClan! We are the Clan of nobility, courage, and strength. We consist of only the strongest of warriors, from the smallest kit to the eldest elder. Before you proceed to join us or head over to one of our rival Clans, why don't I show you around a bit?
{History}
LionClan was created many moons ago by a brave warrior named Lionblaze. Lionstar led us through many challenges, and built LionClan into the Clan it is today. We lived in a territory near the lake where the other Clans live, until we were driven out by a vicious WindClan leader, Breezestar. After we were driven from our home, Harestar, who was the fifth leader of LionClan, led us to a new territory. Now, our territory consists of a vast expanse of forest and field, with a lake at the center with an island where our camp is. The camp itself is hard to reach, but rival cats who have taught themselves how to swim are becoming a problem. We lived in peace for many moons until Darkstar made the devastating decision to make his bloodthirsty son, Snakeheart, deputy the day before he lost his ninth life. Snakestar was a horrid leader. He lead us into many battles we couldn't win against anything and anyone - Twolegs, foxes, badgers, rival rogue groups, you name it. Snakestar lost his nine lives very quickly, and, after that, Blizzardstar took over. He tried hard, but LionClan was on the verge of breaking apart after Snakestar's awful rule. Blizzardstar first drove out all of Snakestar's followers, then accepted three loners and their kits in hopes that fresh blood could save the Clan. And he was right. One of those kits, Ivykit, would grow up to become a great leader after Blizzardstar. Her brother, Yellowstone, was my father. I was the cat who was Ivystar's last deputy; after she lost her ninth life to blood poisoning, I took over the Clan. That was five moons ago. Now, we have reached the present.
{Territory}
Territory's important, isn't it? LionClan controls a huge expanse of territory plagued with foxes, badgers, rogue cats, and the occasional Twoleg. There are two fields off to the western side of the territory that are often beneath the watching eye of a hawk or eagle. There are mountains off in the distance that are home to several Twolegs and their five cats and two dogs. The lake is at the center of the territory, where an island rests that houses our camp. The Hawkeye Tree, located just on the edge of the island, is where apprentices are taken to train for aerial combat, while Blaze Cavern, named after our founding leader, is where apprentices train daily. All hunting is done in the forest or sometimes in the fields. Not too far from the lake lies an abandoned Twoleg nest with fresh herbs growing all around it. The distant forest on the edge of our territory is quite hilly, and is often where ambushes take place, so be careful.
{Camp}
Now on to one of the most important aspects of Clan life - the camp. As I said before, the camp is on an island connected to the mainland by a weakening tree bridge, although most cats swim, since the distance to the mainland isn't huge. The camp is surrounded by bramble bushes and the entrance shielded by a huge bramble bush bigger than most large cats. And now, on to the dens:
Leader's Den: This den is located beneath the Meeting Tree, where all Clan meetings are held. It is the biggest of the dens height-wise, and it's where the leader and his or her mate sleep. It's made up of two large rocks leaning against each other, which is supported by a small tree growing in the soft dirt at the back of the den, as well as the roots that run beneath the ground. The bottom of the den is made up of sand and soft dirt at the back, where the leader sleeps.
Deputy's Den: This den is relatively small, as the deputy can sleep in the warrior's den if he or she wishes. It is right beneath the roots of the Meeting Tree, directly behind the leader's den. Inside, the top of the den is solid rock, while the bottom is soft, moist dirt. There are roots forming a "nest" at the back of the den that also serve as support for the den. There is only room for one cat, so if the deputy has a mate, he or she must sleep in the warrior's den.
Medicine Den: This den is located behind a wall of ferns a few tail-lengths away from the leader's den. It is made up of smashed-down ferns and branches and stones that have been fixed firmly into the ground. The den is vulnerable to fierce storms because of this. Inside, there is plenty of room for herbs, and a tiny dip in the back where water is stored. The very back of the den is where the medicine cat sleeps, while sick patients sleep on the sides of the den, near the herbs. If the medicine cat has an apprentice, he or she will usually sleep in a sheltered dip in the ground just outside the medicine den.
Warriors Den: This den is located right next to the camp entrance, and is the largest den, width and depth-wise. The den is made entirely of rock with bramble bushes surrounding every part but the entrance. Inside, there is plenty of room for nests. The ground is covered in sand, and a small pool is at the back of the den. The older a warrior, the closer he or she is to the center of the den. All new warriors will sleep near the entrance, while the deputy, if he or she doesn't use the deputy's den, will always sleep in the center. If the deputy sleeps in the deputy's den, then the senior warrior of the Clan will sleep in the center.
Apprentice's Den: This den is right next to the warrior's den. It is inside of a large hollowed out tree stump. A large fern arches over the stump and provides some overhead protection. Like the warriors, the older an apprentice is, the closer he or she will be to the center. While the den can fit a good number of apprentices, in case it gets full, then any extra apprentices will sleep in a dip beneath the large fern.
Nursery - This den is located deep underground, beneath a large bramble bush. The walls are solid stone, while several dips in the wall allow cats to get out easily. Located several tail-lengths beneath the ground, the den is the safest in the camp, and is guarded by a warrior during the night. Inside, the ground is sandy, with pine needles littered on the ground to help protect the kits' soft paws. Expecting queens sleep on the larger side of the nursery, while mothers with kits sleep on the other side.
Elder's Den: This final den is located behind a swath of ferns, and is shielded by thick undergrowth. The inside of the den is open to the sky and has a grass-covered bottom. Sunlight is free to stream through the openings, but the branches are able to be shifted to provide more shade during extreme heat. Like the nursery, one warrior guards the den during the night.
Rules:
Ah, rules. The best part of any Clan, am I right?
1. Please be active - Basically means make sure you are on for a respectable amount of time every week. For major roles, such as the Leader, Medicine Cat, Deputy, or RP Moderator, I am expecting you to be on at least 2-4 hours each week. It's not a huge requirement - think of all of the hours in a week. For the rest of you RPers, 1-3 hours a week should be fine unless I state otherwise. If you have to go on vacation or can't RP for some reason, please let myself or an RP moderator know. If you don't let us know, then your character could be deleted - and you are only given a week after deletion to retrieve the character. Names listed in Green are active, Blue are moderately active, Yellow are Inactive, and Brick Red are in danger of being deleted. Any names that are listed in Bright Red are currently in hiatus and have been excused from this rule until they have recovered from hiatus, or if they do not return within two weeks, unless special arrangements have been made. If you need to be placed on hiatus, please message myself or an RP Moderator.
2. Please be mindful of the Minecraft Forum Rules and the Minecraft RP Forum Rules - This rule is self-explanatory. You should be well aware of the Forum and RP Forum rules by now.
3. Absolutely no god-modding, spotlighting, powerplaying, or meta-gaming - This will result in an automatic kick from the RP, unless it occurred in an extreme case, or if it is spotlighting first offense, you might be given a strict warning and allowed to remain in the RP. If you don't know what any of these terms are, there is a thread in the main section of the RP forum detailing what they are.
4. You are allowed to have up to 3 characters to start with, and may be allowed to have more if you are active with your original three. If you don't RP with a character for a week, you'll get a warning, and if you don't resume your RPing with that character, he or she will be deleted - See Rule 1 for more information.
5. Your character isn't invincible. You have to die someday. This isn't to say you aren't allowed to have your characters become elders, but please be aware that you need to live in reality - a 30 year-old cat isn't reality - This relates to Rule 3, as RPing an immortal cat is considered a form of god-modding.
6. Please don't make any prophecies or omens up without clearing it with me first. Only the medicine cats and leader usually get prophecies and omens, and anything else could be considered spotlighting - Even if an RP moderator says it's okay, you MUST clear it with me, no matter what. If you create a prophecy or omen without my permission, it will be ignored.
7. This RP takes place many moons after the Dark Forest battle, meaning all cats from the series by Erin Hunter (i.e. Bramblestar, Breezepelt, Tigerheart, etc.) are now all dead - Self-explanatory.
8. Please don't force anyone to make their character your mate. That's their decision, not yours - If someone tries to force you to be their mate, then feel free to ignore them.
9. Apprentices can't have mates or kits - I know this could happen in real life, but I don't want apprentices distracted from the point of being an apprentice because they are busy in the nursery with kits.
10. When you send in your Apprentice Application(s), the character cannot be younger than six moons or older than twelve - This is because the Warrior Code says that a kit can't be apprenticed until he or she is at least six moons old, and the average apprentice completes his or her warrior training at the age of twelve moons.
11. No unrealistic time movements. Time moves at the same time for each character. No "Yellowpaw went to hunt. He caught two mice. He went home. He went to sleep. Two moons later...". I will specify when a moon has passed, and you have to follow that, or your RP posts will be ignored - This is another self-explanatory rule. If you keep on making illegal time movements, even after several warnings, you will be thrown out of the RP.
12. Please use [], {}, or () when talking out of character - To help differentiate OOC posts from RP posts.
13. Please use all Clan terms in RP - To help RP seem more in-detail and realistic to the series and what I intend to portray.
14. This RP is intended to have a moderate level of blood and gore in it, like the series, but please try to keep it at a PG-13 level - If you fail to obey this rule, you will be kicked out of the RP. Simple as that.
15. Romance is allowed (obviously), but please remember that you are RPing cats, not humans - Self-explanatory.
16. You do not get to decide whether your cat goes to StarClan or the Dark Forest when they die. I will decide that based on the cat's actions during the majority of their life - This is to ensure that we achieve an equal balance from both sides.
17. Due to some recent problems, from now on, anybody who starts or majorly contributes to an OOC argument on this RP will be thrown out of the RP and reported to the MCF staff. If you want to argue, do it on Steam, e-mail, Skype, whatever. Thank you for your understanding.
18. Put "Thunder Rising" in the "Other" section of your application to prove you've read the rules - A lot of people don't take the time to read the rules, unfortunately.

Clan Terms and Common Enemies
Leaf-bare - Winter
Newleaf - Spring
Greenleaf - Summer
Leaf-fall - Autumn
Twoleg - Human
Greencough - A severe upper respiratory disease that is fatal for kits and elders
Whitecough - A more minor, more curable version of Greencough
Blackcough - A very rare respiratory disease that is often fatal for most cats who get it
Mouse-brain - The term used to describe someone who is dumb
Flea-brain - The term used to describe someone who is really stupid
Mouse dung - A term used by cats when they are slightly irritated (such as if they fail to dodge an attack)
Fox dung - A term used by cats when they are very irritated (can also be used as an insult towards another cat)
Monster - A car
Twoleg nest - A house
"Great StarClan" - The term used whenever a cat is surprised or annoyed, usually used with a tone of exasperation
Thunderpath - A road or street.
Cutter - A Veterinarian
Kittypet - Any cat that lives with a human.
Sun-drown-place - The western ocean. Not within view of LionClan territory.
Moon - A month
Quarter Moon - A week
Half Moon - Two weeks, or half a month.
Badger - large black and white creatures with massive paws. Although they are slow, they can deal blows that can kill a young or weak cat instantly. Due to the growing number of badgers in the area, LionClan makes it a priority to include Badger Combat Training in every apprentice's training.
Fox - Red and white creatures who are slightly bigger than cats with long, pointed muzzles and sharp teeth. They are vicious and will usually kill cats only for sport, although they are easier to combat than a badger.
Twoleg - Not nearly as common as other enemies, these are tall, pink creatures with a little fur on top of their head. They sometimes come into the forest with dogs, although they usually don't stay for more than a few days or so. Can be dangerous, as they will usually do things unexpectedly, such as start a fire or lock up a cat for no reason.
Dog - Creatures that can be any size. Have sharp teeth and powerful muscles. Most dogs that come to the forest are under the control of Twolegs, although they are always to be watched.
Hawk - Large brown birds that are common around the fields. Can pick up and carry away a small apprentice or kit.
Eagle - Very large black-and-white birds that can carry a cat and live near the mountains.
Rogue - Any cat that doesn't live in a Clan and only cares for himself and anyone else who submits to their desires. One large rogue group in particular lives on the edge of LionClan territory and has caused a lot of problems for the Clan in the past.
Loner - Any cat that lives by themselves but cares for other cats and sometimes offers it's help to the Clan. However, some loners, particularly the ones living at the Abandoned Twoleg Nest, tend to plot with the rogue group and help them plot against LionClan in exchange for things they need, and are a nuisance to the Clan.
Please use these terms in RP.
Battle Moves
Leap-and-twist - The cat leaps up with as much force as possible and twists in midair, kicking out in different directions with his hind paws. Works best on multiple enemies.
Back Kick - Explosive surprise move to catch opponent from behind. Judge opponent's distance from you carefully, then lash out with your back legs, taking all weight on your front paws.
Belly Rake - A fight-stopper. Slice with unsheathed claws against the soft flesh of the opponent's belly. If you're pinned down, the belly rake quickly puts you back into control.
Front Paw Blow - Frontal attack. Bring your front paw down hard on your opponent's head. Claws sheathed.
Front Paw Strike/Forepaw Slash - Frontal attack. Slice downward with your front paw at the face or body of your opponent.
Killing Bite - A death blow to the back of the neck. Quick and silent and sometimes considered dishonorable. Used only as a last resort.
Leap-and-hold - Ideal for a small cat facing a larger opponent. Spring onto opponent's back and grip with unsheathed claws. Now you are beyond the range of the opponent's paws and in position to inflict severe body wounds. A group of apprentices can defeat a large and dangerous warrior in this way. Watch for the drop-and-roll counter move, and try to jump free before you get squashed.
Partner Fighting - Warriors who have trained and fought together will often fall instinctively into a defensive position, each protecting each other's back while fending off an opponent on either side. Slashing, clawing, and leaping together, battle pairs can be a whirlwind of danger for attackers.
Play Dead - Effective in a tight situation, such as when you are pinned. Stop struggling and go limp. When your opponent relaxes his/her grip, thinking you are defeated, push yourself up explosively. This will throw off an unwary opponent and put you in attacking position.
Scruff Shake - Secure a strong teeth grip in the scruff of your opponents neck; then shake violently until he or she is too rattled to fight back. Most effective against rats, who are small enough to throw. A strong throw will stun or kill them.
Tail Yank - Grab your opponent's tail and yank it with such force your opponent is thrown off balance.
Teeth Grip - Target your opponent's extremities- the legs, tail, scruff or ears- and sink in your teeth and hold. This move is similar to the leap-and-hold except your claws remain free to fight.
Upright Lock - Final, crushing move on already weakened opponent. Rear up on back legs and bring weight down on opponent. If opponent does the same, wrestle and flip him under you. This makes you vulnerable to the belly rake, so it takes great strength and speed.
Half-Turn Belly Rake - Turn onto your side, slip under the opponent's belly, rake it with your claws, then swiftly turn back onto all fours out from under your opponent.
Badger Defense: Leap over opponent, turn on your back legs and bite opponent's leg. Used only when fighting badgers.
Duck and Twist: Simple defensive move. The cat ducks then twists around, rolling over onto his/her back, and then springs to their paws.
Jump and pin: Complicated move. Leap backwards, and bounce off the wall. With precise accuracy, land on the cat.
Hind Leg Knockout: Dart underneath your opponent and knock their hind legs out from under them. Works great when trying to get opponents onto their backs.
Badger Swipe - Dart in, rake your opponent with your claws, then dart out of range again. Useful only on badgers, as they are slow and won't have time to react to your attack before you are out of range again.
Rushpaw Splash - Useful only as a decoy when fighting in water. Make a splash further downstream to distract your opponent and make you think you are somewhere you aren't. Then, come up behind them and use the Hind Leg Knockout to force them underwater.
(We are currently experiencing some technical difficulties with the allegiances and RP member information. We hope to have the information up for you again as soon as possible. If you need the information, then feel free to contact cocokat, Silent, or Smelt.)
((first of all, you shouldn't start RPing until you get at least a few people to join.
2nd, this is a good idea. i will consider joining.
3rd, you wont usually get an APP within a day. so be patient.
4th, the OP is a little long. maybe try to condense it a little. that will increase your chances of me joining.
that is all.))

(Thanks, but actually, the OP is standard size for Clans (I looked on the actual warriors forum for reference). And I was trying to get the thread moving by RPing, but I do appreciate your advice, and I'll try to condense the OP a little.)

((Alright, I'll explain the stuff you are confused about:
There is a series by an author by the name of Erin Hunter called Warriors, the first book is Into the Wild, and the book that is next coming out in the main series is Thunder Rising. You can find Warriors books online, as e-books, or as regular books at pretty much any bookstore.
A moon in Clan terms is a month, meaning if you say your cat is 9 moons, it means they are 9 months. The Clans also have certain terms, such as greenleaf for summer, Twoleg for a human, greencough for a dangerous upper respiratory disease, and mouse-brain to describe someone stupid, among other terms. The cats are quadrupedal. And, they have a specific name system. Only leaders (like Gorsestar) have the "star" prefix, while warriors can have any prefix that is realistic (i.e. Daisytail, Yelloweye), and apprentices always have the -paw prefix. This means that your cat, Sandstar, being an apprentice, should really have the name of Sandpaw. I hope this helped - as soon as you fix/add that stuff, I will accept you. Thanks for applying!))
Apprentice Application: Forum Name: YaleTheDog What book are you on in the Series, or are you waiting for Thunder Rising: I haven't read any of the books. But may consider it. Are they good? Character Name: Jewelheart Character Age: 10 moons Character Appearance (please be realistic and detailed):
Personality: Jewelheart is a shy and reserved cat. She doesn't like to get in the way of anyone, especially elders of mentors, and never talks much. Ironpaw was a vicious tom cat, where as her mother, Amberflare was a more caring cat. This means that Jewelheart has a vicious, and caring side. Her parents thought it was right to leave Jewelheart at 2 moons, so she could learn to survive. Family: Amberflare, Ironpaw (Do they count, because they aren't in the story?) Mentor: Gorsetar Love Interest (remember - no mates or kits allowed for apprentices!): None at the moment. (Can the apprentices rank up to warriors etc?) Cat Gender: She-cat Other: N/A
((1. The books are good .
2. Don't take offense to this, but you've gotta choose a different name, since the warrior cats don't know what Jewels are.
3. You have to have the -paw prefix if you are going to be an apprentice.
4. You might have to take a different mentor, since someone else already took Gorsestar.
5. And yes, you can rank up to warrior once you've completed your training.
Once you fix/add these things, then you can be accepted! Thanks for applying, and I'll try to check back on this topic later today if I can!))

Gorsestar turned away from the nursery and called across to Sandpaw. "Training!" He called. Jerking his head towards Tealpaw, he added, "Seeing as your mentor is now apparently incapacitated with fear, you can join Sandpaw and I for training today. We're going to the forest to practice hunting techniques." Without waiting for a response, Gorsestar whipped around and stalked toward the camp entrance.
Gorsestar led them across the tree bridge and into the forest. He opened his jaws and tasted the air. He caught the scent of a nearby squirrel and dropped into a hunter's crouch. He spotted the squirrel burying nuts next to an old oak tree. Bunching his muscles, he sprang and landed perfectly on the squirrel, delivering the killing bite to the back of it's neck. He turned toward the apprentices after burying the squirrel for later, and asked, "Now tell me - what is the best way to approach a squirrel that's in a tree? You've both had tree climbing training before, so you should easily be able to pursue it - but what's the best way?"
((Guys, it's okay for one or maybe two of you to be first person, but it gets hard to keep track of who's speaking in certain cases, so it's a bit easier if you try to use third person perspective.))
Gorsestar tipped his head to one side. "Yes... in a way. The best way to stalk a squirrel in a tree is to get into the tree as quietly as you can, then, make use of your muscles and spring at the squirrel once it's relaxed. This takes patience, but it's worth it, and with enough practice, you can do it without scaring all of the prey in the forest. Tealpaw, would you like to try?"

2nd, this is a good idea. i will consider joining.
3rd, you wont usually get an APP within a day. so be patient.
4th, the OP is a little long. maybe try to condense it a little. that will increase your chances of me joining.
that is all.))
((EDIT: i like your profile picture. its really funny.))

((Alright, I'll be on for about another half hour, so take your time. I might be able to come on later tonight as well.))
EDIT: ((If I'm not online when you post your app, I'll probably be able to get back to you tomorrow if I can't get on tonight.))

I came out of the warriors den. i saw mouseclaw going off by himself. "what's going on mouseclaw?" i ask.
Gorsestar tipped his head to one side. "Yes... in a way. The best way to stalk a squirrel in a tree is to get into the tree as quietly as you can, then, make use of your muscles and spring at the squirrel once it's relaxed.
