Alright. If there is one rule here, it would be "Only advanced creative and descriptive role-players ONLY. I could tell if you are experienced enough by your first role-play post or your application so don't join unless you are confident."
Alright. The setting is a wasteland. Like Fallout: New Vegas (Great game.) The Nuclear War has already started and all technology has died. A bunch of advanced technology, however has been preserved. Gangs and other baddies roam the land. They are the only ones who seem to get anything out of this hell. The government is cowardly and much weaker than before the war. The armies of the country have gone to war and only a few small groups of rangers and squads of peacekeepers are found.
Acutally, you know what? Let's make this exactly like Fallout New Vegas except maybe different stuff for the role-play. Maybe different cities, gangs. whatever. Setting is in the mojave desert and yes there are crazy animals, bodies, and other ghastly stuff roaming the land.
Alright, there is the intro. Short and sweet, right? Okay, let's get real now. The application is below. I guess I'll add a cap to the amount of people once I see too many people.
Character Name: [All characters must have a name, right?]
Age: [Around 18-40 is good.]
Appearance: [Be descriptive of the body and face and clothes and basically everything you want people to notice.]
Equipment: [Start off with almost nothing. Maybe a crappy rifle and some set of clothes and food. Be creative.]
Faction: [You can be in a gang, the NCR, and or just a wanderer/survivor in this wasteland.]
Personality: [List atleast 5 good descriptive personalities.]
Bio: [Make it descriptive.]
Other: [other stuff? Add it here.]
Alright, like I stated, only experienced role-players should apply because I don't like stuff like "Bob walked into the store. Bob stole the cola and left. Bob was shot while leaving by a man. It hurt."
Actually, this is probably better than some stuff I've seen on the forums. This right here would be... so so and not accepted. Writing a story on the forums is a good way to get feedback and experience. If you have a story, I'll sample it and I'll judge if you are experienced enough through that.
Character Name: Xuan
Appearance: He is Asian. His hair is styled like a spiked Mohawk. His hair is also jet black. His face is handsome and his eyes are dark. He looks well-rested and almost energetic. He wears a Mercenary Adventurer Wear and a fedora. On his back, a rifle is slung with a leather strap. In his hands are two revolvers.
Equipment: A few caps, potatoes, bread, biscuits, and some extra ammunition. He has a Mercenary Adventurer Suit and a fedora. He has a hunting rifle and two revolvers shown visibly on him but he has a machete and some grenades in his inventory. On his left arm is a Pip-boy. To most people, he is just a Wasteland Punk.
Faction: Survivor, loyal to no one and just trying to live and prosper.
Personality: Xuan is outgoing and somewhat laid back. Other times, he is energetic and ready to pick a gunfight with some desert rats. He loves fighting. Xuan is also very over-confident and a hotshot. Due to his background, he is somewhat desperate and a petty thief.
Bio: Xuan used to be living on an empty stomach and in danger of radioactive death. His group was always low on ammo and often killed and raided passing caravans and traders and wanderers for their own survival. One day, a large caravan fought back and he and his group was forced to surrender. They were brought with the caravan to a jail somewhere hidden under the desert. The caravan was attacked by a larger group of desert rats and Xuan's group escaped with only a few bullet wounds. They found refuge in a dark cave. Xuan chose to leave the group because food and supplies were low. Xuan traveled as a wanderer until he searched enough bodies for some good weapons and such. He is still wandering since.
Other: Has a soft heart for jackals of the wasteland
Character Name: [Aer Sol]
Appearance: [Oddly colored grey eyes, wearing a red hoodie and black jeans, has scratches and marks on face, clothes are very dusty, wears a black bandana, hair covers the left side of his face.
Equipment: [Knife, 2 Very damaged pistols, and a backpack]
Personality: [Kind, Secretly Caring, Survivalist (Good at surviving), Fighter, Scavenger (Gets anything he can from dead bodies of things hes killed)]
Bio: [Aer Sol woke up one day, in the middle of what seemed like nowhere. He didn't know who he was, where he was, or how he has gotten there. All he knew was that he has to survive at any cost. He looked at the ground around him. There lay a knife, 2 Badly Damaged Pistols, and a Backpack. He kneeled down, grabbing the knife. He pocketed it quickly. He grabbed the backpack by it's strap and slung it over his shoulder. He picked up the two pistols, cocked them, and headed off into the desert.]
He walked down the desert as the wind swept over the sand, taking some with it and depositing it somewhere else. For miles in the desert now, he had seen no one. He was beginning to lose hope. He never should have left the last town or ventured off of the road. Sand, dirt, plants, and a few mountains were all he could see. These plants were probably radioactive and they produce no fruits. The sun was heating up the desert like a huge oven.
Xuan looked into his sack and saw that he had only one bottle of purified water left. He had to drink it. IF he didn't, he would certainly die from dehydration.
The water washed all the dirt that built up in his mouth and throat down. The taste was sickening but he was grateful. He put the empty bottle back into his inventory. Xuan opened up his Pip-Boy yet again to check his built in GPS. It was still broken. [Error] The screen showed that message but sometimes got a little static. It was too much to even show the error message. He slammed his Pip-Boy with his fist and kept walking.
To anyone, he would look like a Wasteland jackal, with his adventurer suit, fedora, rifle, and pistols. He was also walking alone in the unforgiving desert. He was desperate for food, so desperate he almost wanted an animal to show up, even if it meant receiving cuts, wounds, and maybe death. A quick death from a desert creature would probably be better than the slow torturous one he was receiving.
Xuan heard a gunshot ahead of him. He squinted his eyes and tried to see but there was no one firing on him. No bullet whistled passed him and no bullet disturbed the dust quietly drifting. Xuan, however, was a lot more alert. He crouched and moved quickly. Maybe the shooter is behind that dune. Xuan crept up to the dune and checked around it. Not even the slightest clue of anyone there. He heard another shot and saw that ahead of him was a bustling town. The shots were fired from a farmer trying to shoo some bighorners from his field maize. One bighorner was lying dead and the others were moving away.
He woke up with a mouthfull of sand. Spitting it out, he looked around. He saw nothing but odd looking Cacti. In the far off distance, he saw a man walking. He struggled to get up, as he hadn't drank anything since he'd been lost out in the desert. Slowly but surely, he got to his feet. He wiped the sweat from his face as it slid down his face as it dripped down from his forehead. He walked towards where he had seen the man walking. Suddenly, he heard a gunshot from the distance, and instinctively crouched down. He twirled out his 2 pistols. As badly damaged as they were, they worked. He slowly began to crouch-walk towards where he heard the gunshot come from. Then, he heard another gunshot. He dodged to the side instinctively. When he looked at where it came from, he saw a town. He also saw that the gunshots were fired by someone who looked to be a farmer, who was chasing away odd looking creatures. The bodies of one of the creatures laid there, dead.
"Cease fire! I'm not going to harm you!" Xuan explained to the man with the rifle. Xuan holstered his two revolvers. The man put his rifle down. "Wat'cha name, kiddo?"
"Xuan," he replied, "I've been in the desert for some time now and I'm just about on the brink of death. Nothing much, how about you?"
"Her'," The man threw Xuan a bottle of pure water, "Drink up and pick some maize for yerself. Ya can pay me back later."
"Thanks," Xuan said and he took a mighty swig of the water. The water tasted a whole lot better. The maize was good, too.
"That guy ov'r der, ya know him?" the farmer pointed his finger in the direction of the desert.
"Wait, what?" Xuan asked nervously, turning his head around to see.
There was a human figure some way out in the desert wasteland. Xuan did not recognize him. "I don't know who he is. Should we welcome him?"
"Sure, but keep your guns at your fingertips," the farmer said, turning around to continue tending his crops.
Xuan waved his hand to usher the stranger closer but kept his left hand a mere inch from his revolver.
I looked over at the farmer, talking to a second man. I saw that they were talking about something, but I wasn't close enough to hear what. At that moment, the farmer turned back towards his crops. Then, the second man turned towards me. I could see that his left hand was at his side, but ready to pull out a gun if he had one. With his other hand, he seemed to gesture me to come towards him.
On my way walking to the man, some odd creature jumped at me. It looked like a giant gecko of sorts, but it looked mutated. I slid out my 2 damages pistols quickly and fired off 3 rounds from each gun. They impacted into the creature's chest. At that moment, I heard a loud hiss. Out of nowhere, 3 more of the creatures appeared out of the sand. The one I had shot was still standing, weak as it seemed. I looked around me on all sides. Trapped, I thought to myself. I put away one of the guns, then took out my knife. I eyed the creatures curiously. They just hissed at me. Out of nowhere, the one on my left charged towards me. I swung my knife-holding hand around at it. My knife impacted at it's neck, making a deep slit through his throat. Blood poored out from it's wound. It fell over, dying from the cut.
At that moment, the other three disappeared without a trace, the one I had shot covering his wounds with his 'hand'.
[We honestly need more people on this. It wouldn't be a good role-play with only two people.]
The man had pulled out his pistols and fired on some desert creatures. He killed one and caused the others to flee. Xuan approached the man, hand still cautiously close to his pistols. "Howdy. You a wanderer, too?"
