The hermit from a race of rejuvenating people, whom he was his only specimen left, was sitting at his tent, which was somewhat luxurious, and even had scrolls, quills, scroll materials and ink. He began to write on the scroll...
This world... Full of species... Full of nations. That was a lot just a mere tens of thousands of years ago. At first, the species around the world were just mere tribes wandering from place to place. They began as evolved animals with superior capabilities. Then however, a challenge that would forever change the route of the species came to be. The ices of the north grew. They drained the water, causing levels of water to decrease worldwide. This made the planet colden and the species had to leave to the caves but the ones that prospered on cold. The era lasted a hundred thousand years. However, after that time, the ice capes retreated, leaving to the world within heat.
A few lacked of the food necessary due to the fact that on the ice ages there were creatures of massive proportions. These species decided to settle in and begin the art of modyfing the soil to produce the plants they needed. They also began to domesticate animals and mold them into whatever they wanted to be in a matter of thousands of years.
Ever since this happened, nations began to appear on this planet. Cities of gold and of all jewels appeared. They conquered their precedesors and founded great civilizations whose extension and glory is beyond belief.
The species manipulated their landscape and manipulated minerals to their pruposes. First the rusty stones, then the copper, then the bronze and now the iron.
However many backward tribes remain. Specially at the huge unconquered plains that now hold their cattle or ride upon monsters. These shall also one day be conquered the might of the civilization.
Will these new races pass the test of time? Will their leaders lead them to glory? Or they will collapse and they legacy destroyed? This depends on you, the reader.
About the RP
Welcome to Races: Evolution II. The sequel to the infamous Races: Evolutionwhere the greatest feature was percentaging up to death in a world where everyone was allied to a pony race until the english attacked them. Don't worry, nothing of that will happen here as long as people remain loyal to the rules.
On this RP you will command your race and attempt to survive the test of time. And yes, I said a race. Unlike my previous RPs, you can control your race and all the nations within it (unless you allow someone else to take over a nation or if your race is conquered of course). Famine, war, leaders wanting glory all await to destroy in a few years what you took hundreds of years to build.
If you want you can choose not being a divided race but instead be an unified large nation. This is specially if you think that controling multiple nations isolated from the world is boring.
Also, this RP starts at 1 A.D. This is so that people won't get bored as quickly or start speed rushing technologies.
Time pace
Unlike almost all my other RPs, time passes away as quick as the players want and to adapt to the circumstances the player is going on. For example, one can make a few years pass, while someone else can go months. All I want you to do is not to try to stagnate the RP (EG: Posting in days all the time) and not to overspeed the RP (EG: 50 years later...) I want people whom can actually be patient, not a speed rusher that wants to do everything at once.
However if people say that they need a time skip, a poll will be set up determining where will the time skip fall depending on what people want (just nothing major like interestellar when we are at the late antiquity. More like skipping the early middle ages to the beggining of the low middle ages)
Also, I want you to put the date of when the post is occuring. But please do not go 12 A.D when everyone is at 50 A.D or viceversa.
There are times when the timelapse might change. If the RP contains a lot of active people it will slow down. But if few are around, expect month-jumps or even years. When this happens, you might insta, but make it minor.
Because the RP is stagnating, I decided to add a new rule: Minimum IC time between a post and another: 15 days. Maximum IC time between a post and another: 2 years.
Rules
An RP without rules is like a country with no goverment. Complete anarchy and mass stupidity. If you need help to follow the RP rules the guys of the PoW were generous enough to put up a thread where you can learn how to RP well. Although I don't expect perfect posts or let alone players your posts should have a minimum of quality. Alright, here are the rules.
Follow the normal RP rules mentioned at the RP discussion thread AND the forum rules.
Do not be a Mary Sue.
Do not just focus on one thing unless you have a logical reason to do so.
It is more fun when you actually write a history down than when you simply try to be at the top score on everything like if this was a videogame.
Minimum length of a post: Two lines. Nothing less. I am not talking about just writing half a liner on story and then throwing a stream of stats, I am talking about two full lines of story. Saying "The random tribe is hunting" and stat-flooding does not count as a two liner. "With their tails, the random tribe went underwater looking for a few fish. The chief came with them hoping to find anything good, his guards and 10 more fishmen came to hunt with them." with or without stats. Now THAT'S a two liner that counts as one in the rules.
Be realistic.
No whining
Don't make stupid races (EG: Ponies, dragons that have stereotypical-heart-shaped eyes, etc).
All the player-and-player interactions will be decided via PMs by the rivals. At intra-player interactions with their nations/races insta-ing is allowed.
No insta-ing (insta-building, insta-conquering, etc.)
Organize your posts well.
Alright grammar is obligatory.
No nuclear exchanges or at least not when we don't have an opportunity to escape and colonize other worlds (when other worlds have been terraformed of course).
Researching stuff at a date slightly earlier than what it was actually invented is allowed but don't make it major
You can always "orphan" your species (turn them into NPCs) or remove them if they didn't left an important mark in the world or in someone else's species.
Having two races is allowed. Just don't use the second race just to benefit the other.
Another rule I can't put there is that when you put stats put them under a spoiler. For example:
(note: nothing on the spoilers intended).
And that if you use spoilers you can put Minecraft emoticons on the right place (although people will think less serious of your post). Example:
Farms
Military
However, this is not allowed:
So the mining team was exploring the caves and they found a strange monster and they ran but not without first killing the monster and they came to their king and gave him iron

Description:
The countless Laimargo sailed nodes to finally reach a exuberant and wooded area, appearing to be beneficial about their permanence there. They went deep into the forest precisely in order to discover a region half bleak and tall grass, and in humming distance a reminiscent of water. For shelters it is necessary trees because caves are an option quite inaccessible.
The assault of Moane was a difficult and dire truth that each Laime had to face. The tigerdemons would pay for it, after they could get themselves an inhabitable zone, another state ... the state of Éxory.
Sighting:
A river in a distance of about one quarter of a mile that seems inhabited by advanced populations. There is a long water stream that can hydrate the people, it is originated by said river and apparently flows by it large quantities of water. The region surrounding the stream is mossy and free from inhabitants, perfect for a settling location. Amusingly, there are some hollow trunks with tapped bottom that can be used as buckets.

1. Populated River
2. Dweller-Free Water Stream

The Gernoai military leader has grown suspicious that some of their weapons have gone missing and ordered a inventory of all weapons and battle items. Description:
Thankfully to their speedy manner of thinking the expeditionary Laimargo managed to stay alive for one night. The forest is interestingly cold at night, feeding their environment with an eerie atmosphere. The shelter's entrances have been covered with lumps of mud and diversified stones found lying around, guarding to themselves a rather comfortable energy, assuming you are stranded on an island which seems to be inhabited by hostile forces and has daily impasses about living.
The next morning has awakened everyone with the divine sun bursting through the thin spaces between the poorly built shelters, announcing the ordination of upgrading their homes. Leisurely, it is seen those shelter's lump-doors bursting back to the soil. They grunt between themselves and feed with the remaining food, satisfying their so then hunger that would evolve back to its initial state. They demanded more food. They needed better shelters, that is, huts with actual doors. Those resistant little pointy nails were quite useful to fasten the planks, and they're in abundance because they're nothing but immense thorns of amazingly tall trees pigmented with light-wine on its trunk. All those items would be merged in a single thing: a building kit. The Basic Building Materials Kit.
The moment to work has been notified by a grunt of one laime whose skin was lighter than their vivid dark green, no, it was faded and many wrinkles erupted in the transition of nighttime to daylight. He could be considered elderly because his age trespassed the mark of seventy five percent of expected living time of Laimargo. It was also when one young laime uttered to her fellas that she had three babies last night. The necessity of assisting those five fragile creatures were feeding them as they bravely worked.
Sighting:
Approximately one mile to north, there is a considerable agricultural town, grazing on it large quantities of herds. Seemingly however there is few to none shepherds guarding them. The twenty hunters are lurking in the woods awaiting for the correct time to lure and slaughter those animals.

1. Agricultural town
2. Large quantity of bovines, swines and caprines.
Worded General Report:
This season was a relatively miserable one because of the low foreign and internal trade rate, and a very hot sun. There was also a flood in the river of Sark city, but the butchering was good, and the meat has been safely preserved or sold.
A small rebellion sparked up in Sark too, because of recent working conditions. They were complaining about the sun being too hot, and that they could not produce enough crops because of the flood. We quickly subdued it with a small squadron of spear-men from Ake.
The colonization project has been continued, and a person has been executed for trying to cause fear in the cities. The gods feed our rivers, not mountains, that Azx was crazy anyway.
Objectives:
-Explore and colonize the north
-Flood prevention
-Better tool/weapon material
Important messages received:
-Message from foreign communication master Azur'nag: From what our explorers tell us, the way is clear to the planned location, no foreign nations known inhabit the area. It will be worth our while to go there. I also want to inform you of the exploration team, they have not returned yet, hopefully soon because our masters are starting to get worried.
-Message from military commander Ake'Han: An escort is prepared for the settlers my lord. We await your command.
-Message from exploration master Axuhu: The exploration team we sent a month ago has not returned. They are experts, so they should be able to survive out there, the only problem is that they might have been attacked. From what our settler leader tells us, the settler team is almost complete, and so are the tools.
-Message from agriculture master Sark'Han: We need flood prevention my lord! The death count so far is 102, and almost all our main export crops are ruined! Please my lord, do something.
-Message from philosopher Jaka'nag:
Hail my lord! We must make anew, because I calculate a impending disaster. Make haste and colonize somewhere, if I am wrong it will benefit you anyway. Here are the exact statistics: Because of the flood I think the temperature in the south is getting higher, which will mean even more flooding because of the snowmelt in the mountains. Please heed my warning my lord.
Regarding the above message, we Jaka'nag was beheaded and his body burnt because of witchcraft, but we will colonize anyway, just in case.

REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of thirty citizens per pit.
REWARDS: One water storage location.
General Statistics:
Population: High
Food: Average
Water: Overflow
Health: High Sickness - Damp living spaces
Wealth: Very low
Military: Medium Strong
Mood: Slightly Hostile
Worded General Report:
The weather is getting worse, and our future looks grim if we do not act quick. The explorers have returned from the north, reporting rich fertile lands, that have a favorable climate. The settlers have been sent, they will arrive at their destination, people living near the water's edge have been evacuated because of the still rising water levels. It actually rained, a thing I have only experienced five times in my lifetime, and the wind is very strong. Hopefully the empire will make it through the winter.
An escape route has been dug out of my palace, just in case the flooding gets worse so my family and I can escape and join the settlers.
Forget flood prevention, nobody can build in the water because of the crocodiles and the chance of landslides or flash floods.
Objectives:
-Explore and colonize the north -Flood prevention
-Better tool/weapon material
Important messages received:
-Message from exploration master Axuhu: The explorers from the north have returned my lord, they talk of humid and tree-dense forests with many lakes and rivers. I have talked with the settler master and the settlers have been sent, alongside the escort and various animals. Hopefully they send a messenger back soon.
-Message from agriculture master Sark'Han: I quit my lord! As soon as I finish this letter I will take away my life. The farms have been completely destroyed and there is nothing we can do about it, many livestock have been drowned and more than three hundred people have died because of the flood! Goodbye my lord, being in your service has been a pleasure.
Khenir is the nation located in B-3 (the biggest nation of the bunch). Khenir is based on a tribute system where all the nations pay a very high tribute to the capital. This makes the capital one of the richest, but in contrast, the other towns that are ruled by them are very poor. They weren't settled by normal Khenirs. They were simply conquered, forced to pay tribute or tricked into loans that had huge intrests and therefore forced to give the Khenir Empire the control. On the capital, people were void of any taxation or tributes to pay but only the nobles could access it. And due to the huge tributes the capital demands for the people on the countryard it is almost impossible to increase their social order.
Now to what matters: The Emperor of the Khenir, Verius II died a few days ago. He was the only emperor that was semi-popular among the people. The nobles however, hated him. He levied many of the tributes the towns had to pay to him and even allowed a few farmers to become nobles in a system where they were measured of their daily work (The top 10 were allowed to become nobles every year).
The nobles quickly abolished most of his reforms and tributemen were sent with the same tax rate as always. However, this time, the locals didn't stay there doing nothing about it. They didn't forgot the freedom Verius II gave them and despite the fears of the strike of the army, the locals rebelled. This time they fought against the taxmen. On the local goverment building, you could see small groups of peasants that massacred tributemen after they left. They were armed with hoes and rusty spears at the best. However, this did not apply to all towns at equal. Some of them accepted the visits of the taxmen (on the towns that didn't realized the death of the emperor as it was announced countrywide), others were killed while coming to the cities (you could notice tributemen because of their large carts they brought that were empty until they left) and others were tortured at the farmlands. However, none of them knows that (well, except on nearby villages and towns) that the tributemen are being attacked countrywide.

The raiding season grows nearer and the people of Targnolika have grown anxious to see what plunder they can get from the surronding areas. The soldiers have uped their training abilities and the new recruits know how to better handel themselves in a fight. The inventory was completed without a single item missing from storage. The trading leader Targnok has suggested an open trades with a group of Ternoaedi who live at the bottom of the mountains. They can supply Targnolika with more wheat and seeds for their farms along with a new trading system which uses items of equal value. The pact is currently being talked about.

Weary, a group of 16 male Drakans wait for a special cue. They hide in tall, yellow brush, which helps conceal their white feathers and green hair from a herd of buffalo. Something tugs on one male's tail, causing all of the group to hiss and growl as they run out towards the buffalo. The gentle tug of a tail in this instance was the cue from another Drakan that the trap is ready. Doing their best to scare the buffalo in specific direction, one buffalo trips - then another stumbles. Not long until more stumble from running into or tripping over fallen buffalo. In 2 minutes flat, the herd is gone and their are a few buffalo struggling for their life as they are piled on, bitten, and slashed by Drakans. The struggle ends almost as quickly as it ended.
Drakans - hunters, scavengers, young, the whole clan - gather to help take the beasts apart. The beasts' hides aren't in the greatest of shape, but the biting and slashing was primarily targeted on the head and throat. A white-haired female nibbles affectionately on one of the hunter's ears.
Within a 20 mile radius, fellow clans of Drakan are pursuing similar activities. Some are foraging for insects and plants, some are focusing on crafting items such as fishing nets and skin sacks, or simply resting.
A typical day for the race, for now. The weather is bleak over them.

Khenir
Peasant revolts
A few weeks have already passed and most peasants already know about the situation that is going on the country. The nobility knows it better than well. They have received fewer food and tributes than ever before. Already the peasantry has it's own leaders and they are preparing to attack the Khenir capital. Their numbers already exceed 3x the entire army's. Already the nobles were called to arms but only a few answered and are ready.
On the meantime, skirmishes are occuring on both sides but no real battles are being fought. The war that will change the nation's history is about to begin. Only the gods know the outcome.

The queens of the last generation were dying and they knew it, today was the day the Shullets begins anew. From each of the queens lay eight eggs: four male and four female. The males were programmed to swim, swim far from their mothers but far from other drones: our king and founder found his way near the edge of the ocean. When he got there he noticed his changes, he had grown claws from the flagellate tails and the large gonad that takes up most of his body. He knew his purpose, his destiny, he embedded his claws deep into the dirt he waves his exposed organs in a display. The newborn queens however stayed at their mother's side. They watched her die, they knew it was their fate too, long from now. They were fed by their mother's servants, overstuffed it seemed, as they would need it as nourishment for their first generation. When the old queens finally died, the new queens too ran their separate ways, searching for mates, not all of them lived, for if they did not find a mate, both sides of the relationship would die. Our queen, our mother, found our father upon the brink of lost hope: father was dying from starvation, due to not having a mouth. His pupil widened at the sight of our mother. She descended upon him as the small sacs that made up their organs combined into one body. Father knew he had found peace as mother's body engulfed his own and he died, his eye was consumed by mother as her pedal like shell attached itself to the ground. Aimed in perfect alignment with father's legs, which were now hers, despite her system being unable to move them, she then waited for the first eggs to emerge from the holes in her shell...

A Zuntal stands in the cave. He hears a resounding crack from the stone, and suddenly a body starts forming from the stone. This is a special birthing process; only the chieftains children do this. When the Zuntal climbs out, he wobbles on his singular, deformed leg and falls on his face. The chieftain arrives and is dissapointed. a deformed son is only a sacrifice. he grabs a large stone and smashes it into his sons face, and his face cracks all over the floor, stone chips everywhere.

The first eight larvae emerged from their eggs, they are blind but slowly gain sight. They have a complete 360^3° view and can see their young digestive, nervous, and circulatory systems and their developing skeletal, mucus, and muscular systems. their skin is currently transparent but they sense their four small tendrils, they begin to swim gleefully around the queen, excited about life and the new world they find themselves in. Some begin to chirp despite the aquatic environment which muffles the sound. Some begin to dance, to the small chirps they hear. Some larva stay close to the queen while others explore, when they get to far, the queen lets out a harsh chirp that makes them return. Some are close to one another, others recluse. But through the excitement and variety, the larvae begin to feel weak and head back to the queen. The queen begins to pour foam from the small mouth parts that line her "shoulders", the larvae begin to feed off the foam which is full of healthy nutrients that help the larvae develop. The day ends and they all sleep until the next day

14 angry zuntars grabbed stones, sticks, anything they could find and started trying to kill the guards. caught off guard, one was killed but they were subdued and dropped in the acidic pit
as the morning rose on january 28th, the construction of a wall began. civilians felt unsafe and had told the guards about this. so, walls and a small gate will be made.
Suddenly while a hnter was hunting, his foot was snatched by a glan (wolf) and ripped off. He speared it through the head, and warned the civilians of these things. While communicating, the explorers came back and alerted them of a flattened area over a lava chasm that would be suitable, how ever it would take a very long time to cultivate, and get the supplies for it, so it would take about 5 years.

Khenir February 10, 1 A.D
The first real battle between nobles and peasants finally occured. This is how it went:
The army stroke at one of the earliest towns that rebelled. In total they were 1.000 soldiers and 5.000 rebels. Before the battle the rebels built up wooden palisades that could be kicked out easily. The soldiers were 700 footmen, 250 archers and 50 catapult operators. The catapult men stroke at the palisade, kicking it out easily. The archers then attacked some rebel units nearby. The rebels were waiting to ambush the enemy. They hid at the buildings and when the enemy approached on the streets they attacked them or if they entered the buildings they drew a flute (the early ones) and gave signal to nearby troops. As the troops marched through the village the first ambush occured, killing a hundred soldiers. Then they tried to enter the buildings and they were ambushed too. They decided to light fires and throw them at the houses or use the catapults to smash the buildings (casualities: 500 peasants). This destroyed many landmarks of the village and the peasants decided to surround them. This tactic was disapproved by the governor, whom organized the rebel troops, and even though he called them off they still attacked them. The rebels mananged to ambush the catapults, seizing control of them and targeting at the soldiers. However this tactic failed and it killed 500 peasants and 250 soldiers. In general, the soldiers were a lot better armed and the archers positioned themselves at the top of the buildings and/or struggled to stay at the sky. A few soldiers mananged to fly their way out but in general, 800 soldiers died in total and 200 routed. In total, 3.000 peasants were slaughtered. However, 1000 routed to nearby towns. The peasants won the battle, but the village was nearly razed due to the torching and smashing of the buildings, and also due to the mass amount of peasants killed in action.

Gandeli Hive
The larvae have matured into workers with hardened shells and have formed into the eight castes: caretaker, warrior, gatherer, messenger, hunter, structure, defender, and scout. They will not changed biologically until 10 years. The Scouts have found the edge of the continental shelf. The drop off scares them, as they fear, that even they couldn't return from its depths. There are plenty of fish for the hunters and even some bigger targets but they wanted challenge. The scouts have arrived at the shallow point of the water, their shells protrude from the water. They feel the waves pushing them toward the surface, the curiosity also urges them on. One brave shullet is the first to lift its body above the water, it feels the cold air, and the feeling of water slipping down its carapace. It felt funny when it arose, dizzy, there was no longer anything pushing against it. It had the urge to propel himself upward, but all that accomplished was pushing water out of its propulsion valve. It then tried to walk forward and as it got closer to the shore, its legs became easier to lift. It's brethren emerged with him and they knew that there was now a new frontier to discover.

Eleren is one of the few towns that kept their loyalty to the emperor. The battle occured when the main leader of the peasants, Herodotusakos marched with his forces to conquer the town as there was one of the few armories (most of the soldiers keep their weapons with them but some prefer to store their spare weapons there and the empire stores their siege weapons). The few rebels when they heard of them rose in arms and unsuccesfully stroke at the garrison, whom were 2.000 men including 500 peasants that favoured the emperor against 10.000 men. The peasants whom uprose on the town were about 200. Finally, the peasant army arrived. After bitter hours of fighting, the peasants lost 5.000 men, they destroyed the entire garrison and massacred about 80% out of the 3.000 inhabitants and they captured enough weapons to suit 2.500 men. They sent escorted survivors to the few towns loyal and also to the capital to warn them that, if they don't give up to the peasants, they will be the next to follow the destiny of Eleren.
Destruction of the temples
The clergy announced that, by rebelling against the emperor, they were rebelling against the lords because according to religion, the emperor is the embassador of the gods. In response, all accross the peasant-occupied lands, temples were looted, burnt and their materials destroyed or smelted. Now the peoples were faithless and had to search for new gods to worship.

Backstory
(note: nothing on the spoilers intended).
And that if you use spoilers you can put Minecraft emoticons on the right place (although people will think less serious of your post). Example:

Perhaps it is a most effective way of saying 'obtainer/collector of raw stuff'.

Events in Targnolika:
The bitter winter has just ended in the high mountain homes of the Ternoaedi of Targnolika. Only three old Ternoaedi died from the cold but the crops suffered and many of them died from the cold. The animals faired well and a few migrating Denoai were spotted heading across a river about ten miles from Targnolika. The hunters were sent out to kill them while a few farmers killed five of their older mountain goats to get their meat. The Gernoai military leader has grown suspicious that some of their weapons have gone missing and ordered a inventory of all weapons and battle items. The blacksmiths of the city are waiting for ores from the mines to smelt and make into weapons so that they can replace the ones which have been damaged or lost by careless recruits. General Garsika Gernoai has ordered a full scale increase in training for new recruits so that they can be ready for the spring and summer raiding season. There was a challenge for the hand of a woman between two Ternoaedi, one of a lower ranking than the other. The battle will take place in three weeks time.

Buta (Continent B, Region 10) - January , 1 A.D.
General Summary: The winds of winter have finally stopped, and the warmth of the spring once again blessed the Buta. Farms are now removing dead crops, harvesting all plants of the winter and will begin planting the seeds of spring soon, temples all around the nation have begun their rituals of praise to the Apprentices of spring.
Lack of water isn't a problem for the Buta, seeing as the areas they live in are very humid and have many small streams from the main rivers, however the excess humidity causes the wood and stone making the houses wither and grow moss, there are 25 reported cases of houses collapsing and killing their inhabitants so most Buta are now removing moss and changing the wooden planks. The Mines are now open again, many people work in them in exchange for currency.

Findings and Deeds:
-Message from foreign communication master Azur'nag:
From what our explorers tell us, the way is clear to the planned location, no foreign nations known inhabit the area. It will be worth our while to go there. I also want to inform you of the exploration team, they have not returned yet, hopefully soon because our masters are starting to get worried.
-Message from military commander Ake'Han:
An escort is prepared for the settlers my lord. We await your command.
-Message from exploration master Axuhu:
The exploration team we sent a month ago has not returned. They are experts, so they should be able to survive out there, the only problem is that they might have been attacked. From what our settler leader tells us, the settler team is almost complete, and so are the tools.
-Message from agriculture master Sark'Han:
We need flood prevention my lord!

Objectives:
-Explore and colonize the north
-Flood prevention-Better tool/weapon material
Important messages received:
-Message from exploration master Axuhu:
The explorers from the north have returned my lord, they talk of humid and tree-dense forests with many lakes and rivers. I have talked with the settler master and the settlers have been sent, alongside the escort and various animals. Hopefully they send a messenger back soon.
-Message from agriculture master Sark'Han:
I quit my lord! As soon as I finish this letter I will take away my life. The farms have been completely destroyed and there is nothing we can do about it, many livestock have been drowned and more than three hundred people have died because of the flood! Khenir
Khenir in problems

General Happenings on species Drakan serpentus

Military update

Demographics:

Battle of Eleren
