The year is 2048 AD, and the world is failing. During the 48 years of this new millenium, scientists have made few advancements in the fields of resource conservation. Much of mother nature's goodies have been used up by mega corporations who think of the present and not the future. The lack of effective conservation methods has caused global power outages, extremely large waves of unemployment, and failing governments. Not only are there problems with the people of this planet, but of the environment as well. Global warming is causing the polar ice caps to melt at extremely fast rates, causing ocean levels to rise and shorelines to become submerged, and is the reason behind super storms, constantly growing in size as each one arrives. There is no hope for Earth. Mankind, as you know it, is falling.
Rules
1. No Godmodding. This means that you cannot act invincible, deflecting any harmful blows like they're flies.
2. No Powerplaying. This means that you cannot control what happens to another player you are interacting with. For example, if you throw a rock at John's head and claim that you have killed him
3. No Metagamming. For example, if John is 5 blocks away, has no communication with you and cuts his toenails, you shouldn't bring it up later as if you were there.
4. No spamming or disrupting this Roleplay. We intend to have mature players who have common sense.
5. Enjoy yourselves and think outside of the box! If there's an obstacle in your way, try and find something to overcome it instead of standing there, doing absolutely nothing. There isn't exactly a certain way you should play this Roleplay, as long as you're following the rules.

Physical Features (images are fine):
Personality:
Occupation (try to pick an average job):
Background Story:
Inventory (items you begin with. no more than 3. most likely will pertain to your occupation):
Location
You all begin in a city by the name of Saffronsville. Although not in the worst of conditions, today's lack of resources and unemployment is taking a toll. Approximately 27% of Saffronsville's population is currently unemployed, and almost everyone relies on public transportation, growing ever so costly due to the lack of fossil fuels. There is only one electric bus in town, which means that you're probably not going to be able to use it, as it only travels short distances in the city's center. Saffronsville's law enforcement is in poor condition, consisting of inexperienced rookies and senile old men who can't tell the difference between a cat and a dog. Public education is hardly funded at all, resulting in teachers who never got an education themselves. Overall, this city is doing pretty good compared to many other locations around the globe, although there is one problem: tension is rising and rumors of a civil war within the city are brewing. Your job is to carry on your everyday life while simultaneously preparing for the inevitable. When the times comes, you don't want to die.
Note: I will announce when the civil war will actually occur. Before then, simply carry on with your life in this crippled world and prepare, because you don't want to be caught off guard.
