(Well, no. I normally do mornings, afternoons, and nights. It depends on how much work I have.)
The market was busy, as usual. Vendors of all kinds of races were shouting from their stands and talking to customers, selling magic and non-magic items, herbs, weapons, armor, potions, charms, wards, apparal, fruits, vegetables, meat, and livestock. I was browsing a selection of ancient trinkets, when I heard someone running to approach me. I turned to confront the person, only to see that it was a young messenger.
"Isaac Hayes?" He asked, taking a moment to catch his breath while handing me a letter, "A message from the Senate."
If it was from the Senate, it had to be urgent.
"Thank you," I told the messenger, taking the letter and paying him the proper fee. After the messenger ran off, I opened the letter and read it.
The Senate was asking for my presence. It was a mission! After 7 months of training, I had finally received a mission from the Senate! I could barely contain my joy. I put the letter away and headed to the train station at a quickened pace. I couldn't waste any time.

Name: Jay Mordiet
Gender: Male
Magic Type: Shaper
Minion/Companion's Name: Kushreen
Race: Human
Biography: Abandoned as at the age of three, he does not remember his parents. He took up with a group of pickpockets and other children abandoned on the streets. He was always the distraction when he and his friend where trying a large theft, or at least large for a group of kids. He was always the distraction because he was good at causing mischief, was smart enough not to do something too bad as to draw too much attention, and was fast enough to get away if need be. That is how the others started calling him Jay, because they always described his speed with that of a bird compared to a fox, close but the bird gets away if he expects the pounce.
When he was six, a woman walked into their hiding spot, for some reason everyone started obeying her as if she was a queen. Only later did he find out that that woman was a witch. Apparently the woman was looking for someone, once out of her trance no one remembered what she had asked exactly, but slightly knew what the questions were. Jay, being brave and hoping to find something good, decided to follow her. He did not get far, only to the next alley before she had him by the throat. When she asked what he was doing he had no choice but to confess. He had expected to be arrested, or die, there, but all she did was ask "Do you want power child?" when he said yes she told him to follow, she had adopted him, of a sort. Her name was Mira Mordiet, a witch who was just looking for the killer of her husband. She was young. She raised him as a son, and when he showed talent as a shaper, she found a shaper to teach him the basics. Until he was 17, when all of his new life came crashing down.
Mira liked to travel a lot, she usually was always on the move, Jay was hanging back, Mira got a little dangerous when she was on a good trail for her revenge. Jay was talking to Kushreen about an event that happened in the last town back. "I can not believe that you were able to steal that guard's sword, you think they would be more vigilant." Jay chuckled. "It was quite easy actually, they don't notice a thing when it is night." Kushreen replied. Just then three arrows protruded form Mira's back and she collapsed, dying. 5 men on horse back, bandits, though scared looking, rode up. One said "Got her, she has been hot on our heels for so long. I told you we should not have robbed those two all those years ago. I told you Gunter that you do not rob warlocks." Shut Up! I know, but we got her, it is over. What do we do with the kid though?" Gunter said. They never noticed Kushreen, he was out of sight since the begging. "He was probably her slave, might as well just..." Jay charged forward and ran him through, his horse running away afterward. He quickly dispatched the others, Kushreen had stolen their swords when they where speaking. Jay buried Mira on the side of the road and headed forward.
Now 18, he has just been wandering, trying to learn the ways of a shaper. He is currently on his way to the nearby town of Afonbeck.
((Woot!))
((Sorry, forgot my appearance :P, tall, muscular, angular features, short cut dirty blond hair, blue eyes, wearing jeans, a black shirt, a long black coat (kind of like a trench coat) with a hood, black gloves, and black shoes.))
Jay continued down the path. It was just a worn out dirt road in the middle of the forest. It was too dense in this part to see what time it is. Kushreen was holding a lantern and was on Jay's shoulder. Clinging like he was riding a horse of some kind. "If it was not for this lantern we probably would not be able to see, good thing I stole it in the last village." Kushreen said. "And the mayors pocket watch, and his daughter's jewelry, and a guard's key, and a bottle of wine, and my lunch. I swear I am starting to believe that you just love to steal things, well actually it is our major source of income so I probably should not mind. But do you really need to steal my lunch?" Jay said. Kushreen smiled "It's fun. Its not like I get caught." Jay just shakes his head and keeps walking down the trail.
Shaado leans back in his wooden desk chair, snoring, whilst Charlie prepares a meal in the extremely small kitchen of the cottage. A knock on the door can be heard. Charlie doesn't dare answer it, but he does wake Shaado up. "Hnng. What is it?" Shaado asks. "There's someone at the door, sir." Charlie replies in his demonic voice.
Shaado gathers the energy to get up and he walks up to the door that is still being knocked on. He swings the door open to find a well built man - probably a blacksmith or builder - standing at the door. He begins to sweat at the sight of the dwarf, who's about three heads shorter than him. "W- We... The T- Town has decided to k- kick you out."
The dwarf slams the door in the man's face and strolls back to his desk chair. "That's ridiculous!" He states as he tries to get back to sleep.

The morning hit like a hammer. David found that his uncomfortable position did not do any wonders for his back, it in fact did the opposite. For the first hour, David could barely move. Once he finally did get up, he found that getting Daniel Mk II out of the hole was way easier than getting him in. They began to go towards Afonbeck once more, with a renewed spring in their steps. The conversation could not stop flowing. The two debated opinions and each attempted to know the other better. It felt as though nothing could dampen their perfect morning. Once the sun settled in the center of the sky, David and Daniel began to slow their paces ever so slightly. At first neither one noticed, but in the distance sat a small collection of buildings. This was the town of Afonbeck. Little did David know, a family member lie in wait at the town smith.
"David," Daniel Mk. II interrupted, "before we arrive inside this town, I must show you something."
"What is it?"
"A message from my namesake." Daniel Mk II was careful not to say father.
"Wait. What?"
"Just listen."
((Music change :3 ))
Daniel Mk II's eyes changed from yellow into green, to signal that he had changed into playing a message.
"Is this recording?" A familiar voice crackled through Daniel's speakers.
"Yes, yes, now record your message for Master David, before he finishes!" David Mk II ordered David's father.
"Right, David, if you are listening to this, it means you have made it to Afonbeck!" ((Also, Afonbeck is pronounced 'ah-vun-beck')) Daniel said in a cheery voice, "My brother resides in the smith. I wish for you to meet him. He will explain our family. It will not be a happy experience... But don't let that get you sad. Just continue, and do what my brother, Lloyd, asks you. I will record 10 or so messages, to tell you what to do, as living without an objective can ruin a man. Especially one with such potential! Now carry on and ask for Lloyd as you enter Afonbeck." With that, the voice crackled out and the lights in Daniel Mk. II's eyes turned yellow yet again.
((Music change again unremixed version of David's theme.))
"Show me all of the messages." David ordered.
"I can't. Your father set up my priority list. His messages come before your orders, and you can't retrieve them from my memory banks, your father is very talented in hiding data."
David sighed and the duo began to go towards the town in the distance. The sun was beginning to set again, but they still had a good hour before night would fall.

Jay continues and is able to finally see the town up ahead. "Wow, I think we walked since early morning. I told you it was too early to walk." Jay said. Kushreen replied "I did not say we should start walking, I said that it was time for breakfast." Jay scowled but said nothing and continued on the road. Kushreen put the lantern out and put it in the bag.

Yelling of a big crowd can be heard. Shaado wakes up because of the noise and goes to his window to investigate. At least 50 men with rakes, pitchforks and knifes were standing in his front garden. Shaado sighs, strolls over to his front door and opens it. "Problem!?" He yells over the noise of the crowd. The crowd becomes silent and the leader of the angry mob begins to speak. "We've had enough of you, you dirty necromancer. Get out of our town before we make you!"
Shaado doesn't quite understand why they hate him or how they know he is a necromancer. But he does know this, he can't possible beat 50 angry men by himself. "Alright, I'll do what you say." Shaado says. "But on one condition... You give me 10 minutes to pack up my stuff."
The crowd isn't pleased with this. "If you aren't out in 10 minutes we will kill you!"
The dwarf closes the door and begins to grab his valuables. A book on Necromancy, A rather large dwarfish war hammer, spare clothing, food and water. He packs it all into an old travelling bag, except for his hammer which he holds in his right arm. He tells Charlie that they are leaving again. Charlie follows him out of the house.
"Your lucky, you damn ugly necromancer! 1 more minute and you would of been dead." The leader of the mobs says.
"Actually. You would of been dead. My house can only fit a few people in at one time and I could easily take on a few of you by myself." Shaado states and it's true. He could've of easily taken the whole mob out if he only had to fight a few at a time. But he decided not to because he kind of liked the people of this small village and they were probably just scared for their children. Necromancy isn't taken lightly by the normal folk.
Shaado and Charlie make their way passed the crowd and get onto the path leading out of the village. "I hope you have happy lives." Shaado says before beginning his journey.

Vincent had just finish cooking the meat up, when a bear roar near the position he was at. God damm it, it surely smelled the food. He gets his gunblade attachement ready, and readys his blade. The bear slowly moves towards the camp site, when he saw Vincent in his uniform.
"Irvan, you know what to do... Battle mode..." says Vincent.
"Yes Vincent." says Irvan CR while getting a blade out and a spear arm.
The bear looks towards Irvan, confused at the sound that it just did. Vincent then started to bang the unsharp place of his sword on his other arm that had metal surrounding it. Irvan does the same with his metalic pieces. If that does not get the bear away, then we will be force to kill it... Man I hate it when creatures dont understand.
The bear roared angry. He was going to attack. One last thing to try out. Vincent shot a bullet near the bears feat, as a warning shot. The bear then started to back away. This was not a good idea it thought. It started to run away.
"Ouf... close one..."
Vincent start eating his soup. He then pack up and heads towards a town. He had enought potions here made, might as well go sell some.
After finally arriving at the castle that was the Senate and going through Magehood security protocols, I was presented to the Senators, the slowly growing and immennsly powerful Noble Circle of Mages. Arthur, the first and oldest Senator, spoke first.
"Isaac Hayes. You probably have questions as to why we have summoned you here."
"Y-Yes, Senator Arthur."
"As you may of guessed, this is of an urgent matter that we think you are the most suitable to deal with."
Me? If this was an urgent matter to the Senate, why would they specifically choose me?
"What is this matter?"
Cain, the third Senator, spoke up.
"You may know the story of the Rifts that brought forth Magic and shaped the world as it is today. The First Rift, known as the Ark, was what brought forth Agmor, who held this world in an iron grip, and threatened to tear it apart, had it not been for the efforts and sacrifice of the Departed."
The Departed was what the group of individuals who defeated Agmor became known as, for their backgrounds and journies.
Senator Cain continued.
"After the Ark was sealed along with Agmor and the Departed, what remains of it now hangs above our land as a reminder of the potential and consequences of this power. But for the time being, civilization slwoly regrew, and for the time being, we expericenced peace."
Judas, the fifth Senator, continued the story.
"When the Second Rift came, we did not take chances. Mana and races were released, leading to more magic than we could have ever imagined. But, we had to seal it, preventing another Fearful or Benelovent God from arriving, knowing the uncertainty of what Rifts could truly bring, and how they can corrupt. It is what makes this world as it is today."
I nodded. Rifts ahve the potential to wipe out the entire globe, if the population didn't do it first.
"I know the story, Senators, but what does this have to do with these urgent matters?"
Matilda, the fourth Senator, stood up and spoke.
"This morning, we have detected energy in the Gobi Desert we have not seen since the Ark. Demon magic is appearing through cracks in its sky."
My heart skipped a beat. "Demon magic? Are-are you sure?"
"We have received a message of this magic seeping through the cracks from the Tempest Saraceans," Matilda replied, "It was cut off by the magic's psycic interferance. We have sent mages in to investigate, and we have not heard word of them since."
My heart sank. They were going to send me to face ancient magic that can destroy your sanity quicker than a Warlock.
"Are you-do you want me to investigate?"
"No," Cain responded, "Too much Demon magic has sweeped through. You would not be able to survive."
"Then...what do you want me to do?"
Jackson, the seventh Senator, spoke up.
"We have determined that another occurance of Demon magic is about to appear in Afonbeck, near the Border. This kind of magic has the potential to destroy it, leaving us open to attacks from Ragnis. We cannot allow this to happen. So we must seal it in its early stages before it grows in size and power. While it is weak, it shouldn't be able to cause signifigant damage or affect minds too greatly."
The Border was a wall of great power that seperated Vyynod from Ragnis, and prevented Ragnis from crossing over to conquer us. If the Border was to be destroyed, all hell would break loose.
"I understand the importance of this mission," I ask the Senate, "But why send me and not someone of more experience?"
Arthur spoke. "Because, Isaac, we have seen your potential, and we believe that this is your chance to prove yourself. If you are wise, you will accept."
He was right. Proving oneself for the Senate was as high an honor a Mage can get.
"...Alright." I kneel down before the Senators. "I accept this mission."
"May the Light shine upon you," They said in unison. "Rise, Isaac Hayes."
I got up, took and deep bow, and exited, Atlas following close behind.
"To Afonbeck, then," I told him, boarding the train station.
And so my journey began.
(Bluuuuh.)
(If we're all going to eventually meet in Afonbeck, we might as well have something happen there.)
"Excuse me, do you know of a Lloyd Darwin?" David asked a citizen of Afonbeck.
"Why, yes, I do! He fashioned me this here armor." The proud young man showed off his gleaming set of steel armor, "He's over here, let me show you."
"Alright, lead on." And lead on the citizen did. After thanking the young man, David and Daniel Mk. II entered Lloyd Darwin's home.
(( ))
"Hey! The wires aren't s'posed to be touchin' there!" A gruff voice scolded from the back room of the empty shop. An ancient style bell sat on the desk. David rang it and heard a different voice this time.
"Just one second!"
"I'll handle it." The gruff voice said again. Immediately upon walking out of the back room, he stared at me intently, "Do I now you?"
"You're Lloyd Darwin?"
"Yes, you are?"
"David Darwin."
"Little Davy?! Wallace! C'mere! Is little Davy!"
"You mean uncle Daniel's son?" The voice from the back room piped up.
"Yes! He's all bigger now! Got more respectable facial hair than you do, might I add!"
"Little Davy? That's you?! Damn..." Wallace was a tree of a man, somehow taller than David. His hair was white, even though he looked to be around 30. He had awful facial hair, it made him look like a bum. He had gleaming armor just like the citizen that showed David to this place.
"How's your pop, kiddo?"
"He told me that you were going to tell me of our family history." David informed Lloyd
"Ah... Now's not the best time..."
"Why not?"
"See, Wallace is having a spot of trouble learning how to make a proper AI. Boy's just not made for this stuff. I keep trying to tell him this..."
"I have grease in my blood! I just need to figure this out for myself!"
"Look, son, you weren't born for this alchemy stuff. Remember what the gyps-"
"I DON'T CARE WHAT THE GYPSY SAID!" Wallace stormed into the back room.
"See, nephew, that's what happens when I try to talk some sense into him. He's got a short fuse, he reminds me of his mother. Her father was an alchemist like myself, and her mother had some other form of magic that I forgot long ago. Too bad my wife isn't here today to tell me what my mother-in-law was. I always get the feeling that it's important for one reason or another..."
"My mom's gone too, she died just after I was born." After hearing this, Lloyd burst into laughter.
"Is that what your pop told you? Your mom's not dead, she's a bloody lunatic and an adulterer!"
((TO BE CONTINUED!
In other words, I don't feel like continuing this conversation for the moment.))
Jay walked into the town of Afonbeck, Kushreen was on his shoulder. Not many people liked shapers, but it was not illegal to be one. He just could not kill someone or steal. Though he may just end up breaking both of those laws. Kushreen had promised to not steal unless told to. Mira had a friend in this town, he is an inn keeper and a shaper. Though he has been able to keep that last part hidden. Jay put his hood up and continued to "The Black Phoenix" and walked in. It was a dark place, used to locals who needed a drink for the end of the day. Jay sat down at a table and put down his hood and Kushreen jumped down onto the chair beside him. Marcus Sheel, the innkeeper, was a man known not to discriminate and one who did not turn down business. It had been 7 years since he had last seen Marcus and at that time he had married a witch named Lina and they had a daughter named Shela. Shela was only a year younger than he was, and from the other conversations in the vicinity, she has also grown into a beautiful woman.
A woman walked up beside the table and with what seemed like a bit of timidity in her voice said "What can I help you with, sir?" Jay turned around, the woman was Shela. I guess Marcus wanted to get her to some work, her beauty might also bring in some business. She had a shapely figure, striking blue eyes, shining blond hair, and a beautiful face. She was wearing a serving dress and had a stern look on her face. Jay smiled "I was hoping to get a meal and a room." Jay leaned in a little and whispered "And tell your father that if Lorez does not get his hand off my sword I will feed him to a wolf." Lorez, Marcus's goblen started sneaking away as fast as possible and Kushreen just started laughing. Shela looked flabbergasted "How did you... Jay! Is that really you?" Jay smiled broadly "Mind letting me talk to your father, there are some things I wanted to talk to him about." Shela nodded and led him into the back.

John is woken up by Serejj. "It is time to awake my master, we must head home." John stands up against the tree he fell asleep on.
He looks up. "Gah! Every town we try to travel to is always too far away. Or we tried to go somewhere else first. And don't call that house our home, we found it a few miles away from the town. Let's go back and get our supplies and try to come this way without taking other paths." John says pulling up his hood, and walking back to their house with Serejj.
They reach their house. The house on the outside is rotted and decayed, like a dead body that was left alone for several years. Vines cover most of the walls and some of the roof is coming off. Luckily the inside of the house is at least decent, but still looks old. They never bothered fixing up the outside because they didn't believe the house need it. John opened the door and then Serejj pointed out that something was wrong with the Gobi desert. John walked to where Serejj was and noticed it as well. "I hope that someone can fix that, it seems like it could cause trouble. Let's head inside, Serejj." John says walking back inside the house. "Yes, master..." Serejj said walking into the house as well. John was making some food and getting out water for the trip. "Let's hope I don't drop asleep again while walking there, I was lucky that last time you killed that wolf that was going to eat my throat. It's too risky falling asleep in a forest, too many creatures could kill you at any moment, or worse for me, a hunter comes across me and finds out I'm a Necromancer. I would be the next one in line for a decapitation, and that's one sleep I wouldn't be able to wake up from." John says taking his Scythe in-hand and shoving a pistol and some magazines for it in the bag. "Okay, looks all packed, let's get a move on." John says pulling up his backpack onto his shoulders. They walk out the door and close it. They set off on the path towards the town, "Alright, this place shouldn't be too far. What's it's name again Serejj?" John says. "I do believe it is called 'Afonbeck' but why are we headed there?" Serejj says. "It's the closest town to our house, and I won't fall asleep on the trip there and end up eaten by a wolf." John replies.

I have a pretty bad feeling about what happened to those Mages that scouted it.
(Yeah, I know. Also, you should probably snip the quotes to conserve page space.)
