It's eleven P.M. where I'm writing this, so, like, there's gonna be some large grammatical mistakes. -yawn-
The premise of this is something a friend and I are creating a comic book series for.
(I'd appreciate if a little bit of knowledge of the Heavy Metal culture is present for the roleplayers, as there will likely be many references. I don't want anyone to be lost.)
A couple of hardcore Heavy Metal fans, best friends, of course, are on a roadtrip through some strange empty countryside. They run out of gas, after completely forgetting to fill up at the last gas station, instead buying Peace Sells... but Who's Buying, an album by Megadeth, as well as three dozen burritos. As their car slowly comes to a stop, they are clueless to what happened. All of a sudden, our pair of Viking Death Metal friends are startled by a sudden crack on the windshield. As a baseball bat hits it again, the glass nearly shatters. Our friends grab their metal spikes, leather jackets, air guitars, and burritos, then burst out of the car. A fist-fight ensues, however, our boys are taken hostage! They wake up in a strange building, with blood all around, someone's intestines strewn across the floor, and countless other body parts. They think of two things:
2. BRUTAL, Man!
Our two guys are named Ryan 'Riffs' Loundy, and Thomas 'Thor' Pattson.
Thomas usually listens to Viking Metal, Melodic Death Metal, and Black Metal. He's hardcore and brutal, often not being the least bit bothered by gore or blood. He's not very sadistic, but if you wrong him, he'll likely shout a prayer to Odin before ripping off your nuts and smashing them in your face. He's stocky, wide-shouldered, with long, scraggy blond hair, and an even longer, scraggier blond beard.
As for Riffs, I'll allow him to be played how the first major Roleplayer wants to play him, however, I'll give a description of what he's like in the comic. Remember, if you're interested in playing this role, you don't have to follow these. This is just how he is in canon.
Riffs is tall, not necessarily skinny, but not a Viking like Thor. He's got long black hair, combed and shiny. His hair is longer than Thor's, as well. He usually wears a more 'Thrash' or 'Punk Rock' outfit than the Black Leather and Death Spikes that Thor's into. He wears his homemade denim jacket, with leather pants horribly stitched together. His music is more of the older metal. Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, that kinda stuff. He's definitely not into gore, blood, guts, Satan, or anything of the sort. He's rather tame, but if he gets a good rhythm into his head, and starts moving with it, it can take off someone's head. He's a genius when it comes to common sense and street smarts, even physics and math he is good at. But literature...it's lost on him.
Anyways, our boys wake up in this room, tied up, in a pool of gore, and the only thing Thor can think about is how brutally awesome this all is.
I'll start the -actual- roleplaying with Thor, whom will be my main character throughout this.
[b]Thomas tries to wipe the blood off his face, wriggles in the pool, splashing a bit. He decides it's futile, and gives up. He whispers, more of a quiet growl than a whisper, a prayer to Thor.
"Thor...grant me the strength to break these ropes!"
The ropes snap. Thomas stands, and looks around in the room he's in.
He sees a window, and the light coming through it is red, just like everything else in the room. He notices a sink. The mirror above it was badly cracked and he could hardly see through it anyways, with all the smeared blood. But he checked his face for wounds from the battle that ensued on that glorious rainy countryside road.
His lip was cracked open, not bleeding anymore, along with a black eye. He then gasps, as much as a True Viking can gasp, at the wonderful cut along his cheek. He has a long, inch-and-a-half-at-least slash on his left cheek, and as he is mysitified by the battle scar, he hears a splash!
Thor turns, excited and in a heart-pounded battle rage. He grabs the thrashing body on the ground, wipes the blood off the face, and sees!...
Here's where I will end mine. This is the first time I've written a Roleplay, I don't know what to think of it, I hope it doesn't suck horribly. And I hope that it will, ah, 'take off.' Whoever thinks that they would like to play a major part in this can reply next, and be, well, whoever. (In the comic, he sees Ryan, of course :tongue.gif:)
