I'm always happy just 'cause there isn't a reason to be sad.
Don't take this as there is nothing that could cause sadness. I just mean it's pointless to dwell on it. I mean, depression is so boring.
** I can't respond. But jum, I want you to lead this roleplay for a week. I must go. Take about a page or two to take down Deepton, and then rest up, heal, possibly introduce a plot twist if you think I'd like it. **
((Me? Alright, I'll try my best at it, starting tomorrow. I will edit this post explaining Deepton's next move in the morn.))
{Third person omniscent perspective.} (("Third person omniscent" is essentially the all-knowing narrator.))
Deepton hit the shield of MArlin directly, superheating it. He then got in a melee fight with Marlin, with Marlin getting a good slash at Deepton's body. The result was a long slash, but it was hardly deep.
At this point, Shell had jumped in beside Marlin and James was attempting to sneak behind Deepton. Also, somewhere nearby Drake was charging at Deepton. ((I basically just wanted to compile all the posts attacking Deepton into one here.))
Seeing all the people nearby, along with a few brave loyalist soldiers, Deepton launched himself up in the air, about 10 ft., and shot down a fireball, straight down. When it hit the ground, it exploded, killing the unnamed loyalist soldiers.
{James}
When Deepton flew into the air, James had already started walking backwards to get a better view, so when the fireball was launched he wasn't directly beneath it, unlike the loyalist soldiers.
When James saw the fireball come down, he jumped back just in time to get smacked by the shockwave of the explosion. Luckily, even though it felt like he was smacked by a wall, it only resulted in bruises, and getting flung back 10 feet. Getting up, James charged back in to continue the fight...

((Dang, I thought if I edited a post it would bump the topic, so now I feel like an idiot having to bump this thread when I should have just put everything from the previous post into this so the new thing would get noticed without needing a useless bump-post.))

Shell didn't get to shoot a single fireball at Deepton before he jumped into the air. When Shell saw blue flames heading toward the ground, she ran to dodge it, but the explosion knocked her into the wall. It was o.k. The wall hit against her bandaged arm, and it hurt like heck, but at least it didn't cause any damage. Shell charged towards Deepton as he slowly landed on the ground before she threw a fireball at him. ((Jum, you can decide whether he gets knocked back or not)) Shell might even be one of the few that would actually be challenging for him, for they knew each others weaknesses as well as their strengths.
((Darn it, Azilla! Stop controlling Deepton! That includes his thoughts, you know.))
{Third-person omniscent}
Deepton stopped his levitating and descended to the ground. He saw Shell lob a fireball at him, and he dodged it to the side, easily. Oh, great, another mage that knows how to throw a fireball. As if that isn't extremely common among magic users, thought Deepton. ((Seriously, fireball is probably one of the most well-known spells, probably. Don't act like it's some kind of super-special thing, Azilla.))
Deepton copied Shell's attack, launching one directly at her, while lobbing one at James at the same time, having seen him charge up. James summersaulted underneath the fireball, and continued charging.
I'm always happy just 'cause there isn't a reason to be sad.
Don't take this as there is nothing that could cause sadness. I just mean it's pointless to dwell on it. I mean, depression is so boring.
((No, I know it's common, but there really aren't any other fireball mages in this battle. And I fixed the thoughts thing.))
Shell dodged a fireball that Deepton had thrown at her before she lit a ring of white flame around him. She knew he could just jump 10 feet again and safely get away, but Shell made it so the fire would slowly spread until he wouldn't be ale to escape, but that didn't seem to easy. Shell rolled onto the floor behind him and shot him with, not a fireball, but fire itself, and it continuously shot out of her fingertips. ((Deepton's next move is up to you, Jum.))
Drake saw the fireball Deepton fired, but decided to continue his charge by jumping into the air. But it was a much stronger explosion than Drake thought it would be, and the shockwave threw him straight up, at least a good one hundred feet up.
Drake managed to keep his swords and, by the time he stopped flying upwards, he was ready to attack Deepton now. He plunged down with his swords ready to strike. Drake hoped Deepton wouldn't see him and tried to get a clean kill by striking down at his neck.
((Drake, getting launched like that by an explosion without dieing or getting crippled is Hollywood physics. IRL, it's not like surfing a wave, it's more like a wall hitting you. But, if you resort to action-movie physics, so be it.))
Shell had fired a magic circle of flame that spread outwards ((I think.)). It was around Deepton, and spreading outwards, technically trapping him. It also made it impossible for James to reach Deepton. Also, Drake was flying like a bird, without wings, sorta, and Shell was using a flamethrower spell at Deepton. Deepton didn't notice Drake though, and since he couldn't jump clear out of the ring of fire, ((Cue Johnny Cash! :tongue.gif:)) he jumped straight up, again, and shot another fireball at Shell, who seemed to be his biggest threat, oddly.
Drake came down upon Deepton with his swords out, but missed his neck and his swords instead caught on Deepton's armour. ((Assuming he is wearing armour.)) Deepton was in the air at this time, going up actually, and the momentum caused both Drake and Deepton to hit the ground at a less than fatal pace, but still most likely knock the wind out of Drake. Not Deepton, though. He was up instantly.
James was now bent on looking for a bow, since he left his at the camp. He had found one, along with some arrows, on a guard.
((Long cat post is long.))

((Yeah, I know its not realistic, but neither is magic and I wanted to do something a bit cool :cool.gif: ))
After his attack failed, Drake landed on his back, making a sound like a sack of potatoes being dropped to the ground. He'd also gotten the wind knocked out of him. He managed to keep an eye open, just to see that his attack didn't have any effect on Deepton how stood up at once.
Knowing this was a bad place to be, Drake tried to roll away, only to noticing the ring of fire he and Deepton landed in. Good thing was, he'd regain control over his breath again.
((Except you're in the middle of a ring of fire 10 feet wide. No escape for you!))

"Stand back!" Shell yelled, but over the commotion, it didn't seem like anyone would be able to hear her. She took a deep breath. If she didn't do the timing perfectly, it wouldn't work. Shell got rid of the fire, and immediately after, froze Deepton. Everyone seemed shocked; it didn't seem like they were expecting it. Deepton tried breaking free, but Shell knew that no one could from her attack.
"Kill him!" Shell yelled as loud as she could. As soon as she would have no energy, Deepton would kill her, and everyone would most likely be defeated. She couldn't let Deepton win.
"Now!" This was more of a pleading scream.

I would tell you about how awesome I am down here, but I have a feeling you probably already know that. <- Please. ._.
((You know even obvious stuff like "Deepton tried breaking free" still counts as controlling, sort of, maybe, probably. Even though it doesn't really affect anything, still. I feel like such a critic. :tongue.gif:))
Deepton stood still as he was frozen, which is a given, but only for a few seconds. Deepton quickly set the ice on fire, melting it and leaving him back to normal. Whomever was casting these spells (Shell) was really starting to get on his nerves now.
"Dammit! You are really getting on my nerves!" Shouted Deepton, at Shell. He then did the same thing he did to Marlin, and shot himself forward at her, spinning through the air at 100+ degrees. Celcius. Or at least, planned to, if no-one was able to attack him now. ((*Lets someone RP before attacking Shell*))

Marlin was blasted back by the explosion, again. This time the concussion wasn't so forgiving, he could hardly perceive the world around him, except for the intense heat on his left arm. Marlin threw off his shield and tried getting up. Marlin's head pounded like the very fires of the spells were pulsing in his skull. It took about half a minute to get up and recover his senses.
Marlin picked up his sword and looked up to see Deepton attempting to charge Shell ((I can't remember if Marlin's learned her name yet)) with the magical fire burning in his hands, Shell looked completely depleted of energy. Marlin knew he only had a split second. He stepped into position between the mage and the general and spun clockwise in a way to carry his sword's momentum into a powerful slash diagonally upwards at Deepton as he ran.

Zeke stood and saw the ones he had just met, rush towards the general. He smiled. Maybe. Just maybe he survived the sleep for this. The final push. He rushed towards the general. Suddenly, a ring of fire appeared around the general, and as the general froze, frozen by the girl's magic. Suddenly, the general broke free, and charged. Zeke saw Marlin get in front of Deepton, hoping to protect the girl. Zeke saw the opportunity and charged towards Deepton's back, bringing his sword towards down. The battle was going to end soon. And Zeke was going to be part of it.

I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it! <3
((When I said "shot himself forward at her, spinning through the air at 100+ degrees" I basically meant he made himself a bullet, sort of "diving" towards Shell at somewhere around 50 MPH, while on fire, spinning. It's hardly considered "charging".))
