"please I will do any thing i'm sorry don't kill me."I think in my head is this strange guy going to kill me, I cant let him i'm strong I will try to fight back.
((Sylus time!))
I watched Gherkin and Jet carry Cole upstairs. I could not let them see me, should I be injured if they panicked. Instead, I decided that a better course of action would be to try and find the captain, Mordecai. He may be able to assist Cole in her current state.
It took some effort, but I finally managed to open the door enough to squeeze through. The open street was large, but I could easily traverse it now. Spinning quickly to check for any would-be attackers (Scarva and Korikus came to mind) I set off to what I hoped to be the center of town, flapping madly to waste as little time as possible.
Gherkin, Mordecai and an Elf-like man stood in the street. The Elfish man was holding a knife to the throat of a human wearing a shrouded hood. He had to be an assassin of some sort, considering the odd contraptions attached to his wrists. The Elfish man seemed completely oblivious to my quick movements, but the others were well aware of me. Gherkin seemed shocked, somehow at the sight of me. Mordecai was more preoccupied with the assassin sitting on him and the Elfish figure was too busy keeping the assassin in one place to notice. I shrieked, hoping to get the captain's attention. He turned briefly, before returning his gaze to the assassin. These idiots! My Cole was dying and all they can do is worry about their own lives? The assassin is keeping their gaze off of me! I need to get their attention! I thought.
((This kind of shows you how little Sylus cares for anyone other than Cole.))
I was finally able to raise my rifle to the assassin but by the time I did I noticed that he had hesitated. It didn't take me long to realise that this was because, out of nowhere, another man had come out of the shadows and raised the assassin to his feet with a knife at his throat. I didn't know who to aim at. "Who are you two? and you!" pointing my rifle at the younger assassin "who are you working for!?" I thought I heard a faint screech behind me but while being faced with professional killers this was not the time to be distracted.
((And yeah Julian, if you said something like that so casually I would call you a treacherous ******* and shoot you in the kneecap, please make it more convincing))

One of the men lifted his rifle at me, but he made a mistake. He was much too close. I hit the barrel down and grabbed it, yanking it with a twisting motion, wrenching it from his hands. In the process a shot was fire, the ricochet of which almost hit the captain. I had cut it too close, I had thought it would miss by much more. it didn't matter now though. I looked at the now rifleless man and shook my head no to scold him.
((I'll be posting 'Sylus' every time it's from his perspective, for future reference))
The self-centered men were too bothered to pay attention. Even Gherkin returned his gaze. After a gunshot rang out, frightening me out of the air. These imbeciles were too occupied! Hissing, I sat for a moment. How could they look after their own lives when Cole was going to die? Why couldn't the assassin wait to kill Mordecai until we had saved Cole? Why couldn't Gherkin shoot the Elf later?
My reasoning only served to further my rage. Screeching, I threw myself at the Human assassin, locking his arm in a vise grip and trying to keep the acid flowing along his arm. It took him a moment to shake me loose.
I regained my balance after being disarmed by the older assassin. He was far too quick and I was out of my league. Why he didn't follow through and kill me was intriguing but really more of a relief. My mind was racing. I heard hissing again and I noticed that it was the wyrm! It had followed us here and now it was attacking the younger assassin who was able to shake it off with surprising ease. Why has the wyrm followed us?
Who were these people? I looked at Mordecai, he'd gotten up by now but the young assassin was giving him the most hateful look. I tried to still my mind and think of something to say "W-what is going on?" I said firmly standing my ground although not being able to hide a stutter for fear that every passing second could be my last.

That was a good question, what was going on... I thought. I decided that the captain should choose this mans fate and pressed his neck in such a way that I stopped blood flow to his brain for a short moment, long enough to make the man pass out in a heap. Now for the wyrm. Why was it here. I could not kill an animal, as it was against my ways, but I would not let it bite me either. A small amount of it's poisen would kill me in seconds. I stood back cautiously eying everyone. Perhaps I had chose the wrong boat to hitch a ride on...
An air of uncertainty hung around the Pigman, Captain and Elf. The acid had nearly melted completely though the sleeve, exposing bare skin. If I could just get rid of one of them, the rest might listen. Cole is dying! Why are they not moving?
Finally, I lost patience. Using my wings, I thrust upward, taking me several meters into the air. Straitening out, I aimed for the assassin's crumpled body. His hood looked weak. No one moved. A second before I clamped down around his head, I felt something wrap tightly around me. Twisting my head, I caught sight of the Pigman, holding me in a steel grip. He looked at me as if I were a phantom. Let go, fool! My Cole is in trouble! I didn't do anything! Drop me this instant!
((Mutton, you're now holding a venomous winged serpent; what do you do?))
((Sorry about the minor narration without you...))
The wyrm struggled in my hand trying to break free. I didn't understand why it was attacking the assassin but I did not have time to think about it. With my other hand I opened my shoulder bag and shoved the wyrm into it and held the wyrm's head to the floor through the bag. the bag's cotton started to dissolve into the air as corrosive liquid came into contact with it. I had wrecked my bag but at least now I had the direction of the creature's poisonous mouth under control. The wyrm continued to struggle but I had to keep it down, otherwise it would try to kill the unconscious assassin again. I gritted my teeth as my hands started to burn from coming into contact with the corrosive gas. "No-one is going to die today little wyrm!" I shouted. I took a moment too look at Mordecai "got any ideas captain?"

I knew this animal, though not too well. Now that it was detained for the most part I reached my hands in and found its head and pressed my hands on both sides of it. Hello wyrm. We cannot talk long for your poison will kill me. Why do you attack this man? I asked it without saying a word. My species were naturally in tune with nature and could not only communicate with any creature, but many plants were smart enough to communicate with us as well.
((Sylus))
I stared in awe at the Elfish man. I had never had someone speak to me, aside from Cole, but her language was muddled and I could only understand pieces of it. Somehow, I could understand the Elf perfectly. Well, beggars cannot be choosers. Why are you all wasting time with your petty lives? My Cole needs help, and all you can think about doing is saving your own skins? Stop fighting, damn it! Fight when my Cole is safe! I screeched. I struggled against the bag and Gherkin.
((Sorry,I was gone for the night. I told JulianBean if his posts were not at least three lines and make sense;he would be kicked.))
I didn't know what to do. Everything was going by so fast. I slowly stood up and putting my hands by my side. "Alright,I give up," I said looking at the mysterious assassin that had helped us. "Just don't-," I quickly pulled out my pistol and shot at his right leg at lighting speed. I then pulled my sword out and tossed it to Gherkin.
Cole eh... Whomever they are, they are none of my concern... He saw the man pull the gun but his hand were too preoccupied to grab it, He grabbed the arm of the man who had the wyrm in his bag and used it as leverage to push myself into the air, and flipping over the man. I put my blade against the rifleman's throat and hid behind him. Surely this man would not be so foolish as to risk his mate's life.
((Okay, to avoid future confusion, let's do this: If we are talking about someone else, say 'Mordecai' or the captain in his case. Or, 'Cole' or 'the white-haired girl'. It makes it easier for us to tell who has what happening to who. Also, Sylus))
None of your concern? NONE OF YOUR CONCERN? You have crossed the line! I am not letting you live after such an insult!
I threw myself, screeching at the Elf, who had just been shot in the leg. Good! All the easier to kill you! I shrieked.
The Elf shuddered as my venom coated his arm. I shot into the air, aiming for another opportunity to coat him in acid. Hissing, I launched another wad of venomous material. It coated his leg; the one that had been shot. The acid was acting quickly. His arm was beginning to melt. Soon, his leg would too.
((No, Grandtree, you're not dead. And you won't be dying any time soon.))
I walked down where I believe Gherkin went to, after falling asleep again. "Hey guys, am I la--" I paused. I have just witnessed things I wouldn't want to witness. "Is everything... alright?" I asked... Gurgle. "Shut up, stomach!" I exclaimed. I didn't feel the need of food... but my stomach probably did. Food... I thought. I looked around to get my stomach quiet.
[I dodged it. Remember, I am quick, like, lightning fast. Besides, if I got shot in the leg, I would be dead almost instantly, my character is EXTREMELY frail... And Yes, I got behind Gherkin the pig.]
[Guys, when RPing, you cannot say if you hit them or not, that is for them to respond to. You say you lunged at them and they can try to dodge etc. etc. It goes by honor code. My character has over 5000 years of experience fighting, he could dodge a gun being whipped out on him easily, also the wyrm probably, but that is where it would have gotten iffy. Look, if I got shot in the leg, I am dead and out of the RP. Don't make decisions like that for me.]
