((Err... Anyone want to help out or something? Being ignored is worse than being denied!))
((Learn to wait a little. Your post was NOT up long at all.
As for other people, can we move this on a little? Post actual paragraphs, not one-liners. I'm not going to carry out a conversation line-by-line over three days or more. I've RP'd before, and it moved a hell of a lot faster than this.))
I backed away from the strange, smoking man.
~Oh. So I'm not in Australia. Probably some hallucination from sniffing... oxygen.~
I decided to make a shelter. ~But what to make it out of?~
I saw a lone tree across the lake.
I began to walk around the lake to it when some guy came out the water and started ripping the bark off.
"Hey you! I want that now-barkless tree!"
I started swimming across the lake.
When I fell through the rift, I thought ~Looks like there is a devil, which reminds me of a quote, "An apology to the Devil- because all the books are written from god's bias point of view. Wait, why am I thinking about the devil WHEN I"M FALLING TO MY DEATH!?!?!?~ I start to scream, "AAAAAAAAAAAAH" I look down to see ice rushing at me. ~So this is it...~ I think. *the ice cracks and I hit water instead" "Oomph!" I cry as the wind is knocked out of me. Thankfully I'm a good swimmer so I make it back to the surface gasping for breath. ~Wha... Where am I?~ I look around expecting an icy wasteland. * Looks around and sees that this is the only patch of ice and there is sandy beaches and green hills on shore* "You've got to be kidding me..." I mumble to myself, "More swimming? Oh well, better get to shore." I start paddling and feel something brush up against my leg, so I instinctively draw back and look where my leg was. "Ha ha, phew, only just a fish." Soon I make it to the mainland and start looking for more survivors, if any.
I was walking around in a forest, when I stumbled across some pigs. I had never seen a real pig before, so I watched in the shadows then sheep came up! ~Is there some kind of farm or ranch nearby~ I wondered. Armed with this, I continued my march forward looking for a farmhand of someone. Instead I ran into a homeless man. No, literally, I was jogging to cover more ground when I heard a moo. I looked around while still jogging and didn't see him till it was too late.
I shook Corion's hand.
"I'm Brady. Well, Core-E-on, Looks like we're in this together. Now how about we go find some lunch. Preferably edible lunch."
I sniffed the air.
"Pine trees! That-a-way!"
I pointed over the ridge.
"Maybe enough bark for the both of us!"
((Muahahahaha!!! One down, several more to go))
"Err, sorry about that..." Then I got the full scope of him ~Woah he reeks, then again, you can hardly blame him, if he is a tramp. Maybe he just looks like one and swims in dumpsters or something.~ I then see his belly. That really big belly. It's do huge, it absorbs all attention. I don't know why, I've seen fatter, but there is something charismatic about it, but not in a good way "Anyways, do you know where we are, and if there is any other people here?" It's not that I hate him, it just there's a look in is eyes that makes me think of a peddler, looking for fake goods to sell to stupid tourists.
"I believe that green thing is called a tree, Corion."
Then I turned.
I saw something horrible. It stood about five feet tall, had no arms, a large head, stubby, deformed legs, and a frown set beneath it's empty eyes. It's skin was gradient shades of green, like rotten flesh mixed with fallen leaves.
I was frozen for a second.
"Wait, maybe its friendly!"
"Hello, small green... creepy thing, we come in peace!"
It stared at me.
It then opened it's mouth.
"I think it's trying to communicate!"
It let out a long, loud hiss, much worse than snakes.
It's head began to bulge, and the smell of sulfur filled the air.
I went into fight-or-flight mode.
I sparta-kicked that creep into the forest.
It stopped hissing.
I walked up to it.
"It's still breathing, but it smells horrible."
"I don't think We're gonna eat this, but we should tie it up with something and take it along. Just in case."
I looked at Corion with a look that said: Can we keep it? Please?
((Sorry, I'm not sure if its too late to join or not))
Age: ? Appears to be between 17-23
Weapon/Armor: A Badly charred right arm with veins of Red pulsing through it, can create orbs of fire and use them to harm enemies.
Special skills: Magical Properties
Appearance: He keeps his arm hidden under a leather jacket and wears jeans without shoes or socks. Dull blue eyes and shaggy white hair.
Bio: The only one of the tumblers who does not seem physically distressed to be in the rift. He is mysterious and quiet. Perhaps he has been here before, only time will tell.
((Sounds so cool, but you need to make it a little less awesome. No fireballs. And make the damage to the arm a little less.))
Name: Jonah Renan (Nickname: Exterminator)
Weapon/Armor: Iron Sword, just iron chest and face armor, as the rest ways him down and constricts him.
Alignment: A good heroic guy, usually takes one for the team.
Special skills: Can move quite fast and swing a sword pretty fast, but can't seem to deflect very good, but is also better than most at science.
Appearance: Brown eyes, dark brown hair, 6 foot, not too muscly, but still quite strong.
Bio: Became an adventurer/miner after his parents were killed in the Great Slaughter of 2013. He managed to escape, and promised himself he would become self reliant and prepare for anything ever like that again, so he could defend himself. This decision lead him to train out in the wild, eventually becoming great at defense, except for the arrow deflection part. He headed home to Washington D.C. in 2015, only to be caught in the Rift.
Downsides: He can't sense love very well, and is very out of proportion after being out in the wild so long. He can't figure out a lot of situations, as he gets nervous when under immense pressure, though if it's just some it's fine. If he likes someone, he tends to get clumsy around them, causing serious issues to become fatal if he messes up.
The kid, having finally swam his way over, starts inexpertly treading water next to me. Before he can introduce himself, I cut him off.
"I really don't want to know anything except why you're here, bothering me. I was having a perfectly good time here without you. No, I'm not panicking about being in the middle of god-knows-where for no apparent reason. No, I don't want to hear you complain. What do you want?"
~I seriously just want to get back to relaxing.~
Age: ? 18
Weapon/Armor: A leather glove with a softly glowing green rune upon it
Special skills: Healing Properties
Appearance: He wears leather jacket and wears jeans without shoes or socks. Dull blue eyes and shaggy white hair.
Bio: Before falling into the rift Rust was an environmental activist and was on his way to an out of city commune for other naturalist, however whilst crossing the interstate he, like many other fell into the rift.
((is that better?))
((Rust is in. This is the last Character I'm taking in for a while.))
"Got it. Wait, what do Creeps eat?"
I looked out past the trees.
"The sun is setting. If this thing-"
I gestured at the Creep.
"-comes out during the day, then imagine what comes out at night!"
"Let's keep our little stalker unconscious until we can train him."
"We need to build a shelter and some weapons. You collect materials for a wall, and I'll go get stuff for weapons."
Since the tramp seemed... Preoccupied, I snuck away quietly, in hope he didn't scream at me. Soon I came to a lake. "Great, just what I need, More swimming. ~It's not that I'm bad, it's just it reminds me of a worse time...~ I thought. I kicked of my sandals, took a breath, made one last look for a shortcut around the lake, then dive in. Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles. That's all I can see. Deep dank waters, deceptively cleaer on the surface, fill around me. I take another breath, then continue swimming across the lake. I make it to the other side, only to notice that the sun is setting. "great, just what I need, more chances to get lost..." I mutter to myself. I follow what looks like a path, but who knows anymore? Soon I saw two people and a... Thing. "Hey, over here!!!"
I heard someone behind me.
I swung around.
"Hey! get away from me!"
"I have a kamikaze... Creeper!"
~Yeah... That's a good name.~
"It's a creeper! I'll let it loose on you!"
An empty threat. I know it would kill us all.
"Now back! You shall fear the great Brady and his sidekick, the much less awesome Corion!"
I got a better look at the person.
"Hey... you're a girl!"
I was a bit embarrassed that I had just threatened the first girl here.
"Um... Sorry... I... I didn't..."
I hoped she would interject.
~So that's what the thing is called... A creeper~ "Wait, I come in peace." I kick myself for saying that, but it was the only thing I could think of at the moment. "I don't know where I am or anything, just like you. I don't want to hurt you. I'm only 13 for pete's sake! What could I do?" I slowly walk forward to confirm my statement. ~I hope he doesn't throw the creeper thing at me or something~
