Still you should not use your guardian name and equipment while going for the exam, there are still records of the twelve guardians left in world so it will a problem later. Only a simple application is required though.
Is it necessary for me to change my name since I was not formerly a guardian? Likewise, my armor? I do know that i must change my facial appearance to better reflect humans, but I was curious about the other aspects.

Preferably yes i would like everyone to change their name and their appearance overall, it may seem trivial now but i'll also use it more as the story progress and for what i had planned later on.
Appearance: She has a height normal for someone her age, about the late-twenties stage. Her long, slightly spiky hair is reddish brown, and her eyes, which still look reptilian if you look carefully, shine a bright green.
Equipment: Leather body armor and leggings with steel plates, a crimson cape with a dragon-wing pattern, and a 'regular' bronze sword with the same pattern on the hilt.
Appearance: Shaggy, mid-length (for a guy), blonde hair. His face is slightly broader than his regular form, and is slightly shorter. Stands at 6' even, muscular, but not well-defined.
Equipment: Full-plate armor, save a helmet, as Gareth is confident that he won't need one. Custom-tailored to allow almost full range of motion, but the weight limits acrobatics. Carries a 6-foot spear and a longsword. His shield hangs at his hip, ready to be used in case of emergency. His icon is engraved over his heart, but lacks the human translation. "I doubt these humans would know anything beyond their own language..." He still wears a cloak, but this one lacks a hood, and is tattered and full-black, with not insignia.

Seems like only Aulwin and Calamitas is active at the moment, hopefully the others can write up their post soon wouldn't want to move the story too far with them missing it. Anyway, apart from the scared face man that i created feel free to make up your own opponent in this phase though you can also interact with the scared face man much like what Aulwin did, I'll make up a story post some time tomorrow.
Usually, Anirael has his armor on; he always wears it when facing his foes. Without his armor, Anirael stands at a lofty 6'2" - the armor adds 3 inches to his height. His somewhat spiky, golden-blonde hair reaches to his shoulders and is tied into a low ponytail. It provides an excellent color contrast to his striking violet eyes. Anirael's facial features are harsh and angular with a square jaw. Though his shoulders are broad and his build is muscular, he doesn't appear too bulky and his muscles aren't overly defined. That said, as his build combined with his stature and countenance, he makes for an imposing figure.
Floor: 12
Personality: Unlike the other guardians, Anirael does not actively seek the destruction of the world - rather, he seeks to serve his lord, believing fully in the purpose bestowed upon him. He will act chivalrously and honorably where he can in service to the Dark Lord, occasionally twisting his interpretation of the Dark Lord's commands to make room for his code of honor. He is surprisingly humble, often only describing himself as a "simple shaman". Further, Anirael respects and admires the ideals of the heroes he battles against. Ideals are quite literally what grant Anirael his strength, and thus he sees the value in noble ideologies. To progress, he believes one must pursue, challenge, and refine one's ideals, and likes to test the conviction of those with whom he crosses swords.
Obviously, Anirael is not popular among the other guardians. His character is counter to many - if not all - of his fellows. Where they see fools, he sees worthy adversaries; where they see meaningless gestures, he sees purpose. However, it is precisely this mindset which makes Anirael a candidate for guarding the twelfth floor. Because he is so similar to the heroes the guardians battle, he understands them. Because he understands them, he is certain to stand a chance against any powerful enough to defeat his peers and reach the doorstep of the Dark Lord.
Biography:
Anirael grew up with mercenaries. He never knew his real father and mother - the mercenaries told him one of them had found him after a battle, taken pity on him, and presented the idea to raise him to the band with a morally charged speech. Swayed by his words, the company accepted so they could all get at least one good deed under their belts before they died. Anirael didn't really understand that at his age. As you might guess, mercenaries weren't terribly adept parents or tutors. Anirael thought fighting was necessary for survival; saving yourself meant taking from others. If nothing else, Anirael learned a few things about combat with melee weapons in his early years, partly through training and partly through being taken to the battlefield as an observer.
When Anirael reached age of twelve, the band accepted the wrong contract. Before his eyes, the company found itself shredded by dark magic. The company really hadn't felt much for him, so he hadn't felt much for them when they died; but he was in awe of the power. When the shamans who destroyed the company advanced, they found the boy. Lucky for Anirael, one of the women among them fancied the idea of motherhood and took him in. She taught Anirael some dark magic. Anirael didn't have much natural aptitude for magic, but he quite liked magic involving soul entrapment. If fighting meant survival, you may as well take the strength of those you kill - they won't need that power anyway.
As he continued to grow, he refined his style of combat into a mixture of the melee he learned from the mercenaries and the dark magic from his adoptive mother who possessed a position in high society. From the souls he gathered, he also gathered knowledge - small things, like proper form, a new stance, or a new technique, but he learned enough about every weapon type to effectively use any weapon type. He could soon harness the souls themselves, wielding them as physical objects that retained some traits of their source. This became the basis for the strange mage he is today. However, Anirael also faced an identity crisis. As he grew in strength and his mother grew in wealth, the need to fight to survive disappeared. But fighting was all Anirael knew. What, then, should Anirael fight for?
The opportunity came with the appearance of the Dark Lord. Now literate, he had read many of his mother's books, and naturally came across stories of heroes, their battles for a greater cause, and what those greater causes were. A second time, Anirael found himself in awe - these heroes fought with a purpose, and that purpose allowed them to grow much stronger - the symbiosis surprised him. But many heroes were noble by blood, which Anirael was not. He expressed his desires and concerns two his mother. She informed him that he could serve the Dark Lord, who would accept a powerful servant regardless of bloodline. His mother already served the Dark Lord from the shadows while remaining in human society. Anirael was overjoyed, and when the Dark Lord swept over the land, Anirael was ready to serve. As a faithful and powerful servant, Anirael worked his way through the ranks, the power from the souls he claimed halting his aging in his early twenties. And so it continued - Anirael served, grew in strength, and found himself promoted, eventually claiming the title of floor guardian and falling with the rest of the tower.
Abilities:
Anirael may fight as though he is a born-and-bread, melee-focused knight, but he is, ultimately, a shaman. Though it's clear he's no ordinary shaman, the manipulation of souls is at the core of all he can do.
[The Great Memorial]
Whenever Anirael defeats someone or something in battle, its soul is stored in an astral plane, where it takes the form of an item with a shape and enchantment representative of the soul's legacy and/or ideal. To provide basic examples, the soul of a soldier who gave his life defending his village might become a shield; a cleric who devoted himself to purging the world of demons might become a sword whose blade burns with a holy light. Obviously, those with stronger souls produce stronger items. Killing heroes yields the most powerful items in Anirael's arsenal. The weapons in the Memorial can be summoned or unsummoned at Anirael's will. If a summoned artifact is destroyed, it returns to the Memorial and becomes unusable for a time that scales with the soul's strength.
This plane is the manifestation of how Anirael sees the world: ideals provide purpose, which provides the will to carry on, which in turn provides strength and meaning to one's existence far beyond what one could achieve while focused on existence alone.
While Anirael possesses many pieces of equipment, he has a few favorites:
Sieghard: An armor set forged from the soul of an honorable knight who challenged Anirael to single combat to buy time for the escape of his lord's young son and daughter. In addition to being quite functional and easy to maneuver in, it is enchanted to give its wearer a boost of charisma. Unusual in that an entire suit of armor, rather than a single piece, is provided by just one soul.
Ansgar: A spear of dragon bone, made from the soul of a hero who gained fame slaying great beasts. When thrown, it can maneuver itself somewhat, enchanted with the hero's drive to hunt.
Tristan: A massive, seven-foot bow of black locust wood, forged from the soul of a young archer of indomitable spirit who began to throw anything and everything when he ran out of arrows. Enchanted to twist any weapon nocked to it into a shape that can be fired from the bow, even other weapons from the Memorial.
[Borrowed Strength]
Anirael draws greatly enhanced physical abilities and resistance to magic from the power of all the souls still stored in the Memorial. Any weapon he brings into the corporeal realm cannot have the strength of its soul drawn - as such, Anirael is careful not to bring too many of his heroes' souls into being at any one time, since they provide him with most of his physical abilities.
Further, Anirael can release all the power in an item at once by magically destroying the item and releasing the soul from the Memorial. The result is usually either a far more powerful rendition of the item's enchantment or simply a dangerous magical explosion.
[The Blackened Brand]
This soul was a gift from the Dark Lord himself - Anirael does not know its source. It is by far the most powerful soul in the Great Memorial (so powerful that I think requires its own ability section), but Anirael cannot draw power from it. Its physical form is a large black greatsword, with a one-foot long handle and a five-foot blade. The only enchantment is that the sword is entirely indestructible. Its greatest strength lies in how it handles Anirael's ability to release souls. Attempting to release the Brand causes a contradiction: it is indestructable, but release requires destruction. As a result, the world around the blade is destroyed instead. The Brand releases a series of incredibly powerful shockwaves that will devastate much of what is nearby in a manner similar to an earthquake beginning above ground. However, as the Brand is linked to the Memorial, the Memorial will also suffer damage, and the Memorial will be forced to leak a number of souls before it can repair itself. To use the Brand in this way is very risky, as Anirael cannot predict which or how many souls the Memorial will lose, so this is an emergency measure.
{Human form}
Name: Gren
Appearance: Essentially his out-of-armor appearance wearing a specific set of clothes. He has tailored his outfit to look as though he is little more than an unassuming adventurer.
Equipment: For armor and clothing: a long-sleeved, olive green gambeson covered with a simple hauberk; a short-sleeved brown tunic worn under the gambeson; iron gauntlets; brown brigandine pants; and thick leather boots. For weaponry: a three-foot longsword; a six-foot quarterstaff; and a kite shield.

Even though there is a lot the people there the guardians seems to be standing out so far so you can tell that it is us straight away.

Nice, i was worried that there wouldn't be any interaction during this break. Anyway i'll probably advance the story sometime later or so, hopefully those who are inactive currently will be back by then since it will be the start the exam second phase.
Since the story isn't going to advance until the second phase of the exam, should we detail the feast at the inn until the story moves along? In that case, is it fine if we take the initiative and decide on what the inn looks like and everything that happens until progression?
Aulwin is already human. As long as he doesn't use his dark wraith form, he should not be suspicious.
Still you should not use your guardian name and equipment while going for the exam, there are still records of the twelve guardians left in world so it will a problem later. Only a simple application is required though.

Got it.
