Tower of Casandora
The Tower of Casandora was once the symbol of the eternal Dark Age where the existence of all living is push to the brink of destruction. The Tower of Casandora is the great fortress of the Dark Lord who wields unimaginable power and is the one who is responsible in starting the Dark Age, this stronghold is the center of all evil that spread across the lands of Aonia. Many creatures that draw their power from darkness had decided to join side with the Dark Lord, Races that live within the light must now live in fear and despair while defending against an unending legion of darkness. Just as all hope seems to be lost; those who had faith in light were not forsaken. The chosen heroes had risen against the legion claiming victory after victory until the legion was forced to retreat and bring forth their last attempt to defend the Tower of Casandora.
The Tower of Casandora was forged with the very existence of the Dark Lord making it unbreakable by all, the only way to get rid this great tower is to defeat the Dark Lord and to do so one must enter the Tower of Casandora and defeat the twelve guardians that guard the twelve floors of the tower, each victory will grant a passage to ascend the tower from floor to floor until they reach the thirteenth floor where the Dark Lord reside. After the long battle against the true evil, The Tower of Casandora was finally defeated with the Dark Lord being sealed away for all eternity. Peace had finally return to the lands of Aonia for all races, and the Dark age at long last had come to an end.
A peaceful 100,000 years then pass by, making the tale of the Dark Age now nothing more than a distant myth long forgotten, however one day all will come to realize that such a story should have never been forgotten. Within a quiet land in one corner of Aonia, the Tower of Cansandora had risen once again….
Hello there all, I’ve decided to give my Dark Lord’s Rp another try here along with trying to create it with a different approach from my last attempt. This time you all will be applying as one of the twelve guardians that protect the great Tower of Casandora. Your goal to bring back the Dark Age and serve the Dark Lord for all eternity, nice and simple though accomplishing it won’t be so simple.
Story:
The Dark Lord had used the last of his power to revive some of the guardians of Casandora, now they are task to secure the lands around the tower and report back at sun down. Learning about the entrance exam that the Guild holds, the Dark Lord sent his guardians to infiltrate the event as humans in disguise and gather up information. In order to be part of the guild however the guardians are first required to pass the entrance exam the guild had provided even though the exam was not even a challenge against the might of the guardians.
After the exam is over a telepathic message from the Dark Lord was sent to all Guardians ordering them back to the Tower in order to break into one of the Heroes Dungeon so that they could retrieve a part of the Dark Lord's Power back, making it one step closer to his former self.

Personality: Rokru has a mindset of a warrior, only the strong are worthy of his attention and strength is truly everything to him.
Biography: Rokru was once the ruler of the great armies of undead that plague Aonia long ago. He alone was powerful enough to control numerous undead to his will, leading them to war with other races that stand in his way and through victory he increase the size of his army by the corpses of his enemy. But his conquest had comes to an end when his armies was visited by the Dark Lord who came as a lone entity filled with power beyond what Rokru could explain and destroy his armies single-handedly. That day Rokru had met his new master, the one with absolute power.
Abilities:
- Eternal Undeath: Any living thing who was killed by Rokru will have their soul imprison by the skeleton lord, turning their soulless corpse into an eternal servant.
- Aura of Fear: Rokru is the true embodiment of fear itself those with weak mind are frozen in place when they saw Rokru while those with stronger mind will have their overall performance decrease.
- Skeletal Creation: Rokru is capable of using skeleton pieces as material to forge it into a creation of darkness both in a form of objects and beings.

6. Your abilities may be powerful to an extent though that doesn’t mean you can go overboard and apply with something overpowered.
7. The Dark Lord hold almost limitless power, he can shape shift into anything so his appearance is never certain and different in everyone's encounter in their biography.
8. The floor number does not define your strength over the other guardians, such as the 1st floor isn't the weakest floor while 12th floor does not mean the strongest.

There was an original Dark Tower 100,000 years ago, the current tower is only but it's remanent. And along with the original tower, the twelve guardians was also defeated and destroyed. After the Dark Lord rebirth, he was able to revive the defeated guardians back to his service. After you have been revived you won't be able to remember what exactly happened in the war 100,000 years ago, the memories will be heavily clouded only your loyalty towards the Dark lord remains. (and the fact that you been defeated in some way which causes the fall of the tower).
Runes of the Great War is a unique type of magic runes that was created during the time of the Great War. They were designed to counter the power of the Dark Lord, these runes are used by the heroes during the war.
I'm thinking about filling out an application, though I have one question. Are there existing races, or can I create one?

You're accepted, Ultra. Seems like you're the only one interested in the Dark Lord theme Rp lol, since this is not popular here then i'll come up with other themes for my next project if no one else is applying for this since it would need at least 2 more players to get things on a go.

Personality: Aulwin is a very grim, serious person, not one for humor. He is willing to sacrifice much for the Dark Lord, all except his life.
Biography: Aulwin was once a notable figure in the First Regiment, a force designed to raid The Tower and slay the Dark Lord. But the Dark Lord is a master of trickery, and beguiled Aulwin into signing a pact of loyalty with him. Aulwin was forced to reveal the location of his regiment, and forced to watch as they were annihilated. The Dark Lord gifted Aulwin agelessness for his 'service', and sealed him within the tower, til he was needed again. Aulwin waited. And waited. Slowly becoming more like his master than he ever knew he could be.

- [Cleave] The might of Aulwin's blade cuts through all forms of magical or mundane protection. Aulwin's longsword ignores armor, and can effortlessly slash through non-magical materials.
- [Spellguard Shield] A polished, mirror-like shield. Originally designed as a tool against the Dark Lord's foul sorcery, it now destroys the spells meant to destroy him. Aulwin can deflect single-target spells aimed at him or allies near him.
- [Breastplate of the Dark Wraith] This darkened breastplate is more of a curse than a blessing. The runes of the plate are all that bind Aulwin into the Dark One's service. When wearing the plate, Aulwin can temporarily be ethereal, allowing him to pass through walls or enemies with equal ease.

Personality: A heartless and sadistic fighter, she is not one to let go when her allies are hurt.
Biography: Dral'Nasraki was created to torture the souls in the deepest levels of the underworld, but broke out when the Tower rose again, believing it was her true destiny to defend it. The mark on her forehead symbolizes her allegiance to the Dark Lord.
Abilities:
- [Roar of Hell] Strikes fear into the hearts of all enemies that hear it, and suppresses all magical abilities to the point of being harmless.
- [Soulfire Storm] A blast of fire that melts all but the strongest defenses.
- [Primal Wrath] Whenever an ally is significantly hurt or killed, this ability activates, boosting Dral'Nasraki's attack and speed.

The IC is up, You guys can start by getting yourself revived at your own floor. The floor you control will be pretty much design to fit your character overall, such as a flame elemental will be controlling a floor that is filled with volcanic environment and so on. Also all guardians can teleport throughout the floors within the tower all you need to do is think of the floor you're going and exit through the door of any floor and you will be teleport there, one of the dark lord power.

NotGud, you're accepted. You can start by coming back to life on the 7th floor, just like everyone else you can design the floor however you like it is your territory after all. As for everyone else i'll make the story post later on today. And Faiyamon, there isn't a map for this currently but i'll make one if it is needed later on.
Gareth has a square jaw, high cheekbones, pointy ears, and a low brow that is seemingly stuck in a scowl. His eyes are of a bright blue color, and his hair that flows down to his shoulders is of a dark brown hue.
He wears a gambeson beneath a mail shirt, with steel plates protecting his forearms up to his elbows. Over his mail, he dons a red tunic, with tattered sleeves that end just past his biceps. Fastened to his chest, Gareth has segmented steel plates with engravings of an insignia to protect his entire torso.
As for pants, Gareth wears brown, borderline black, leather-esque trousers. His pants are flexible, allowing him to a full range of motion. His boots match the color of his pants. Steel plates cover his shins and toes.
Over all of this, Gareth wears a black cloak, interwoven with gold-infused thread, and a red insignia to match the one on his chest in the center. The insignia itself depicts a hawk and a bear biting at each other's heels in a circle shape, with an Elven symbol of peace in the middle. Surrounding the insignia is the Elven and Human translations for, “Peace, only through war.”

Personality:
Gareth is a logical and solemn man-elf. He carefully watches the move of everyone around him, without ever giving a clue that he is. He reasons through problems rationally, however, sometimes his pride gets the best of him, a trait passed on from his Elven ancestors. He is extremely loyal, as long as the person he’s loyal to shares his motives. Furthermore, he has an iron will. Everything he does is usually done according to his own will.
Biography:
Gareth lived a life such that he became adept in warfare. Movements of troops, tactics, fighting… it all made sense to him. He was a general, his own general. He served no one, but many served him. Gareth had a peculiarity about him that allowed him to consume the mind of a being. At first, this meant rats and other rodents, but as he grew older, this meant men, elves, and anything that had a mind. Gareth had a way of breaking a living being’s will, or its instincts to kill, simply by grabbing hold of them, and entering their mind. It was said that he could break anything’s will and use it against them. So imagine Gareth when he met a being that resisted his influence.
They called him The Dark Lord.
Ages ago, Gareth had found himself and his army of Forsaken against the Lord. At the time, none had defeated the Dark Lord, but Gareth Elven pride got the best of him, and so he faced him. In the midst of battle, the two leaders encountered. Gareth was fast, but The Dark Lord was faster. For a moment, The Dark Lord left and opening for Gareth to exploit. He grabbed the Lord around his neck, and attempted to enter his mind. But he couldn’t; The Dark Lord resisted Gareth’s power.
After breaking Gareth influence, The Dark Lord gripped Gareth by the neck, lifted him up, and slammed him into the ground, knocking any air inside of his lungs out. The Dark Lord did not kill Gareth however. Gareth’s mind faded, and that was the last thing he would see for thousands of years.
Abilities:
- “Submit to me!” - Gareth can take control of weaker, living beings to force them to fight for him. After he no longer has a use for them, they commit suicide.
- Elven Wrath - Gareth focuses and time slows to him for a few moments. During this time, Gareth becomes extremely dangerous to weak beings, and some stronger beings. He is able to kill most things in one well placed attack, unless his target is heavily armored, as he only uses his sword and shield during this time. Some beings can “resist” Elven Wrath and can focus down Gareth.
- Light of the Forsaken - Gareth can consume one or more of his followers in a blinding explosion of frost or fire. This obviously destroys the follower. The more powerful the follower, the more powerful the blast.
Others:
Gareth is adept in using swords and javelins with a small shield. His sword of choice is made of steel with Elven engravings on one side with Human translations on the other. His javelin is made for stabbing armored targets. It has a a very thin tip made for poking in gaps of armor, but isnt useful for much other than stabbing. His shield is special made to resist physical attacks, magic attacks, and attacks from cursed or enchanted weapons. The shield itself is not exceptionally good at defending against any of the mentioned types of attacks, but is instead made to resist all of the attacks decently.
(( If there's anything that seems too powerful I'd be happy to change it. ))
Currently it seems the guardians become more monstrous as you ascend the tower. But after all, every boss-monster filled RPG needs at least one sad man in armor.

Caruso, originally i plan for everyone to be part of the great war that happened 100.000 years ago as one of the original 12 guardians that serve Casandora. But in this case i'll go for the fact that the Dark Lord had revived you the one he had defeated long ago prior to the great war event to take the place of the 2nd floor guardian since the original 2nd floor guardian could not be recover and revived. Just to make sure that we're on the same page yea?

Alright we will now go to the first arc of the story. I would like all of you to submit a mini application for your human form, it will be used a lot within this arc. your name will be what you are called as a human in disguise for this Arc and appearance is fine with either description or image.

Appearance: His height is around 2 meters with a masculine body type. The image below is his appearance even though his face is covered up under his helmet most of the time anyway.
Equipment: A full plate armor with skeleton decoration, he uses two massive sword that is strap on his back most of the time.

Good question, Yes you may use the weapon you created or you can ask the Dark Lord to create one for you if you do not have creation ability and yes you may use your power within the human form since it is only a disguise spell set by the Dark Lord, i'll leave it to the players judgement as to how they would use their skills when they are in their human appearance. Our job is to infiltrate and extract information so we wouldn't want the guild authority to suspect us.
However Magic does exist in Aonia so things like Aelis storm power can be classified as wind magic by others, another example would be my case with the undead power, it is classified as black magic and is forbidden so i'll be arrested on the spot. If you can make your ability look like something a human could do then you could pretty much use it but if anyone isn't sure about which of their ability are usable feel free to ask me here.

sorry about that, hmm i'll say it depends on whether you would make them participate with infiltration itself or would you rather have them out of the operation for any assist. Those that will be present at the exam will have to make a human application.

There are many races here, think of something that would fit on a fantasy setting and it should be fine such as golem, elves, demon, vampire, etc. custom races are also welcome so you may create your own unique race, but you need to provide information on it.
You're accepted, Ultra. Seems like you're the only one interested in the Dark Lord theme Rp lol, since this is not popular here then i'll come up with other themes for my next project if no one else is applying for this since it would need at least 2 more players to get things on a go.

Name: Aulwin, Exarch of Betrayal

Personality: Aulwin is a very grim, serious person, not one for humor. He is willing to sacrifice much for the Dark Lord, all except his life.
Biography: Aulwin was once a notable figure in the First Regiment, a force designed to raid The Tower and slay the Dark Lord. But the Dark Lord is a master of trickery, and beguiled Aulwin into signing a pact of loyalty with him. Aulwin was forced to reveal the location of his regiment, and forced to watch as they were annihilated. The Dark Lord gifted Aulwin agelessness for his 'service', and sealed him within the tower, til he was needed again. Aulwin waited. And waited. Slowly becoming more like his master than he ever knew he could be.
Abilities: (You have a total of three abilities, make them fit your character but also make it acceptable. However you are a powerful being that earn a position as one of the twelve guardians so you must have quite a powerful abilities)
- [Cleave] The might of Aulwin's blade cuts through all forms of magical or mundane protection. Aulwin's longsword ignores armor, and can effortlessly slash through non-magical materials.
- [Spellguard Shield] A polished, mirror-like shield. Originally designed as a tool against the Dark Lord's foul sorcery, it now destroys the spells meant to destroy him. Aulwin can deflect single-target spells aimed at him or allies near him.
- [Breastplate of the Dark Wraith] This darkened breastplate is more of a curse than a blessing. The runes of the plate are all that bind Aulwin into the Dark One's service. When wearing the plate, Aulwin can temporarily be ethereal, allowing him to pass through walls or enemies with equal ease.

Personality: A heartless and sadistic fighter, she is not one to let go when her allies are hurt.
Biography: Dral'Nasraki was created to torture the souls in the deepest levels of the underworld, but broke out when the Tower rose again, believing it was her true destiny to defend it. The mark on her forehead symbolizes her allegiance to the Dark Lord.
Abilities:
- [Roar of Hell] Strikes fear into the hearts of all enemies that hear it, and suppresses all magical abilities to the point of being harmless.
- [Soulfire Storm] A blast of fire that melts all but the strongest defenses.
- [Primal Wrath] Whenever an ally is significantly hurt or killed, this ability activates, boosting Dral'Nasraki's attack and speed.

You're accepted Faiyamon, The art looks nice to me much appreciated for taking your time to draw one to apply here. I'll be putting up the intro post soon and get this thing started. Though i would like to give out an extra information here before starting. Also i'll be adding an information section which includes addition stuff to read for a better understanding of the rp.
There was an original Dark Tower 100,000 years ago, the current tower is only but it's remanent. And along with the original tower, the twelve guardians was also defeated and destroyed. After the Dark Lord rebirth, he was able to revive the defeated guardians back to his service. After you have been revived you won't be able to remember what exactly happened in the war 100,000 years ago, the memories will be heavily clouded only your loyalty towards the Dark lord remains. (and the fact that you been defeated in some way which causes the fall of the tower).
The IC is up, You guys can start by getting yourself revived at your own floor. The floor you control will be pretty much design to fit your character overall, such as a flame elemental will be controlling a floor that is filled with volcanic environment and so on. Also all guardians can teleport throughout the floors within the tower all you need to do is think of the floor you're going and exit through the door of any floor and you will be teleport there, one of the dark lord power.
NotGud, you're accepted. You can start by coming back to life on the 7th floor, just like everyone else you can design the floor however you like it is your territory after all. As for everyone else i'll make the story post later on today. And Faiyamon, there isn't a map for this currently but i'll make one if it is needed later on.
Name: Gareth, Commander of the Forsaken

Race: Half-Elf
Appearance:
Gareth has a square jaw, high cheekbones, pointy ears, and a low brow that is seemingly stuck in a scowl. His eyes are of a bright blue color, and his hair that flows down to his shoulders is of a dark brown hue.
He wears a gambeson beneath a mail shirt, with steel plates protecting his forearms up to his elbows. Over his mail, he dons a red tunic, with tattered sleeves that end just past his biceps. Fastened to his chest, Gareth has segmented steel plates with engravings of an insignia to protect his entire torso.
As for pants, Gareth wears brown, borderline black, leather-esque trousers. His pants are flexible, allowing him to a full range of motion. His boots match the color of his pants. Steel plates cover his shins and toes.
Over all of this, Gareth wears a black cloak, interwoven with gold-infused thread, and a red insignia to match the one on his chest in the center. The insignia itself depicts a hawk and a bear biting at each other's heels in a circle shape, with an Elven symbol of peace in the middle. Surrounding the insignia is the Elven and Human translations for, “Peace, only through war.”

Personality:
Gareth is a logical and solemn man-elf. He carefully watches the move of everyone around him, without ever giving a clue that he is. He reasons through problems rationally, however, sometimes his pride gets the best of him, a trait passed on from his Elven ancestors. He is extremely loyal, as long as the person he’s loyal to shares his motives. Furthermore, he has an iron will. Everything he does is usually done according to his own will.
Biography:
Gareth lived a life such that he became adept in warfare. Movements of troops, tactics, fighting… it all made sense to him. He was a general, his own general. He served no one, but many served him. Gareth had a peculiarity about him that allowed him to consume the mind of a being. At first, this meant rats and other rodents, but as he grew older, this meant men, elves, and anything that had a mind. Gareth had a way of breaking a living being’s will, or its instincts to kill, simply by grabbing hold of them, and entering their mind. It was said that he could break anything’s will and use it against them. So imagine Gareth when he met a being that resisted his influence.
They called him The Dark Lord.
Ages ago, Gareth had found himself and his army of Forsaken against the Lord. At the time, none had defeated the Dark Lord, but Gareth Elven pride got the best of him, and so he faced him. In the midst of battle, the two leaders encountered. Gareth was fast, but The Dark Lord was faster. For a moment, The Dark Lord left and opening for Gareth to exploit. He grabbed the Lord around his neck, and attempted to enter his mind. But he couldn’t; The Dark Lord resisted Gareth’s power.
After breaking Gareth influence, The Dark Lord gripped Gareth by the neck, lifted him up, and slammed him into the ground, knocking any air inside of his lungs out. The Dark Lord did not kill Gareth however. Gareth’s mind faded, and that was the last thing he would see for thousands of years.
Abilities:
- “Submit to me!” - Gareth can take control of weaker, living beings to force them to fight for him. After he no longer has a use for them, they commit suicide.
- Elven Wrath - Gareth focuses and time slows to him for a few moments. During this time, Gareth becomes extremely dangerous to weak beings, and some stronger beings. He is able to kill most things in one well placed attack, unless his target is heavily armored, as he only uses his sword and shield during this time. Some beings can “resist” Elven Wrath and can focus down Gareth.
- Light of the Forsaken - Gareth can consume one or more of his followers in a blinding explosion of frost or fire. This obviously destroys the follower. The more powerful the follower, the more powerful the blast.
Others:
Gareth is adept in using swords and javelins with a small shield. His sword of choice is made of steel with Elven engravings on one side with Human translations on the other. His javelin is made for stabbing armored targets. It has a a very thin tip made for poking in gaps of armor, but isnt useful for much other than stabbing. His shield is special made to resist physical attacks, magic attacks, and attacks from cursed or enchanted weapons. The shield itself is not exceptionally good at defending against any of the mentioned types of attacks, but is instead made to resist all of the attacks decently.

Currently it seems the guardians become more monstrous as you ascend the tower. But after all, every boss-monster filled RPG needs at least one sad man in armor.

Caruso, originally i plan for everyone to be part of the great war that happened 100.000 years ago as one of the original 12 guardians that serve Casandora. But in this case i'll go for the fact that the Dark Lord had revived you the one he had defeated long ago prior to the great war event to take the place of the 2nd floor guardian since the original 2nd floor guardian could not be recover and revived. Just to make sure that we're on the same page yea?

Alright we will now go to the first arc of the story. I would like all of you to submit a mini application for your human form, it will be used a lot within this arc. your name will be what you are called as a human in disguise for this Arc and appearance is fine with either description or image.
Name: Dokuro
Appearance: His height is around 2 meters with a masculine body type. The image below is his appearance even though his face is covered up under his helmet most of the time anyway.
Equipment: A full plate armor with skeleton decoration, he uses two massive sword that is strap on his back most of the time.
Good question, Yes you may use the weapon you created or you can ask the Dark Lord to create one for you if you do not have creation ability and yes you may use your power within the human form since it is only a disguise spell set by the Dark Lord, i'll leave it to the players judgement as to how they would use their skills when they are in their human appearance. Our job is to infiltrate and extract information so we wouldn't want the guild authority to suspect us.
However Magic does exist in Aonia so things like Aelis storm power can be classified as wind magic by others, another example would be my case with the undead power, it is classified as black magic and is forbidden so i'll be arrested on the spot. If you can make your ability look like something a human could do then you could pretty much use it but if anyone isn't sure about which of their ability are usable feel free to ask me here.
sorry about that, hmm i'll say it depends on whether you would make them participate with infiltration itself or would you rather have them out of the operation for any assist. Those that will be present at the exam will have to make a human application.
Yea, Brimstone flames can be classified as fire magic even better if you could change its tone to be similar to normal flames.
