"Ok! I'm going to go get you food" Uyir walked back inside and asked the innkeeper when he was getting the meat he asked for. He walked back over to the table he was at and sat back down, waiting. The dragon didn't seem to be hostile, which was somewhat rare, and could talk, which he's never seen before. Undoubtedly it would be hungry, as dragons always were, so he had asked the innkeeper for meat, which didn't seem to be arriving yet
Eventually someone arrives with a large slab of raw meat on a plate.
"You ordered this, correct?"
Finally her luck seemed to be turning around ever since she arrived in this place. However she still needed a better spot then hanging from the side of a building out in the rain, just in case it wasn't all what she was hoping for. She needed to get up into the window. With whatever strength she had left, she forced herself slowly and shakily upwards, straining from the effort before suddenly falling through the window and into the room with a yelp.
She didn't get up after a while, just letting her energy flow back into her as her legs and wings spread out on the ground. Rest was not a luxury she could afford though, there was too much at stake inside this place. From her position on the floor she looked around the room she had fallen into. The likelihood of there being a human inside this room was very high considering her bad luck already, plus she needed a place to hide should others come running.
The room Chisille finds herself in isn't too big, it has a bed, a closet, a table and two chairs, and that's about it
After a while of walking around in the town, Jord finally found a building that was not abandoned. Upon closer inspection it seemed to be an inn called the Golden Penguin Inn. As he was looking at the inn he thought he saw a dragon hanging from the roof. He slowly grabbed his silver sword but then the dragon was gone so he put it back inside the scabbard. He was slowly getting wet from the rain, so he opened the door and walked into the inn. As soon as he was in the Inn Jord went to the innkeeper. "Greetings," He said to the innkeeper, "I would like a pint of beer if that's available. And have you heard any rumors about monsters in the area?"
"There's monsters aplenty here, stranger. Why else do you think most of the town is abandoned?"
The room Chisille finds herself in isn't too big, it has a bed, a closet, a table and two chairs, and that's about it.
After surveying the room and it's contents, she's relieved that none of the inn's patrons are currently in here. After getting up and shaking herself mostly dry, splattering water everywhere on the floor, she dives under the bed, sliding in quite decently underneath it. Her wings are pressed against the bed above, but a place to hide until she knows that she's getting help is better then the discomfort she's feeling right now.
As she waits for... something to come up and search the room from the noise or sight of her, she remembers her first encounter with humans after being freed. She had never seen small humans before. They looked so happy as they played, maybe she could join in too. Unfortunately the moment they saw her they screamed and ran, and the next thing she knew she had a pitchfork pointing at her, jabbing wildly to get her to back off. She had no choice but to run away, completely clueless and fearing for her life.
After helping Boris, the Innkeeper turns to Jack.
"Good Afternoon. Though we're a bit low on stock, we have Soup, Stewed Mutton and Turnip, Bread and, of course, beer."
"Hm... I think I'll go for the stew and a beer, that sounds good. How much'll that cost me, then?" He loosens the string keeping the top of a sack of coins attached to his belt shut, reaching in as he awaits the sum of money he owes from the innkeeper. He picks up, and takes mental note of, some strange sounds coming from a room upstairs, but ignores it in favor of his meal.

"And do you by any chance know someone who would pay for killing those monsters?" Jord replied
The Innkeeper chuckles.
"Well, if you got rid of them pretty much everyone would be grateful, but I highly doubt anyone here has the fortune to pay you to do it. There's a lot of monsters and very little inhabitants, you see. Plus, nobody knows exactly where you need to search for the monsters."

Amanda has red eyes with white pupils and fair skin complexion. Name: Renard
Species: Human
Appearance: Renard wears brown leather armour along with brown boots and a long, black cape. Various craftsmen tools are attached to his clothing, for lack of better storage. His eyes are a deep blue, hinting towards his former nobility, and his blonde hair is tied into a ponytail. He is 23 years of age, though he looks youthful.
Abilities: Renard was once renowned throughout the lands as a master engineer at a young age. He is rumoured to have invented the first flintlock pistol using gunpowder. Without any work pertaining to engineering in the past few years, however, his skills have somewhat deteriorated along with his short-lived fame. Despite this, Renard can still modify weapons and follow blueprints... with the right materials, of course. Renard is also quite proficient with his main weapon of choice, a one-of-a-kind triple-barrelled flintlock pistol that is almost impossible to recreate without its missing blueprint. He can also load the firearm relatively quickly, which is likely the hardest part of using the pistol.
Special Weaknesses (If any): Being an ordinary human being, Renard does not have any weaknesses unique to him.
Items they have: Triple-barrelled flintlock pistol, a moderate amount of flintlock balls, pouches filled with flint and black powder, assorted tools, and a single locket.
Backstory (Optional): Renard was born into nobility though he despised his position from a young age, instead opting to work on his inventions. The town he lived in prospered partly due to his inventions, and they recognised his achievements, spreading word across the country. However, Renard felt his roles and responsibilities as eldest son in the family limited his ability and time, so he made the rash decision to run away from home and go under the alias of 'Renard'.
In a new city, Renard runs a blacksmith store, occasionally inventing unique weaponry as a hobby. His memories become muddled at this point... as if he is intentionally blocking something out from his memories. His mysterious locket, a single picture of a girl, is the only hint as to why the next disaster had happened. The city was engulfed in flames in a single night, and Renard, even while having forgotten why, knew that everything was tied to him, even if not directly. He now wanders aimlessly, taking on odd jobs so he can find the girl pictured in his locket and take fate by its reins.
In the present day, Renard gets a request to check out the rumours about the town of Waise...
Other: Fools. As original owner of said golden penguins, I can say without doubt that they definitely screech at exactly the sound of 1028 decibels.

The building is an ordinary but abandoned house. It's not hard to find the entrance to it. The house is covered in cobwebs and dust, though it's clear that someone has been here before judging by the fact that cupboards and closets have been opened as if someone was searching for things.

Chisille could hear the shuffling of the humans down below as she lie under the bed, and she hoped that they were all leaving the place. Soon. She thought. Soon they'll be gone and then I could eat... She sighs as she listens to her breathing and growling stomach to pass the time.

As soon as the door opens Chisille shuts herself up as much as she can, once again holding her breath. She watches this heavily armoured human enter and start talking as if he knew she was there. It's a good idea not to reveal myself, still need to be careful... humans are... unpredictable... She thinks to herself.
The human then at least lives up to his word. He sets down a plate of raw meat on the ground and then exits the room. Chisille's eyes lock onto the bit of meat. She starts drooling and her empty stomach desperately urges her to go over and tear it to pieces. Unable to resist the temptation she crawls out from under the bed and begins ripping the meat apart, trying to shove it into her mouth as fast as she can. Even any bones in the slab of meat aren't safe from her teeth, she just crunches them up too.
Maybe she should've sniffed it properly to check to see if it was poisoned or drugged, but she was so hungry she didn't think of that.
Though it wasn't the earliest of times, Amanda had just arrived in the inn, it was late and water was dripping from her hat as she stepped through the door frame. Lively, quite lively little place even with the few amount of people in it, it was still pretty homely. Amanda shuffled her way towards the counter, towards the innkeeper to be exact, she plotted to stay the night and try to leave to at least. Though- there was an odd presence in this little town, something she couldn't ignore, and it was almost like it was keeping her from leaving. Whatever it was- she can deal with it in the morning.
"One room for the night." Said Amanda as she tapped on the desk to gain the man's attention. "And maybe the finest alcohol you can give me."
OOC: Oh hi! Hope it's not too late to join. I'm enjoying the nation rp and see a lot of the same players here, so I thought I would join this one too. Hope that's ok
IC:
Name: Betty May Deloris (but you can just call her Betty)
Species: Human
Appearance: Betty has a pony tail. She has brown hair and green eyes. She always seems to be smiling, even when things are going bad, and no one really knows why since things are always going wrong for her. She wears blue overalls and black boots. She is 17.
Abilities: Betty is the daughter of a wizard/alchemist/mage. She aspired to be like her daddy, but isn't quite sure if she has the talents he has. But with every chance she gets she tries out new spells and potions.
Weaknesses (If any): Well, she is human, so knives and swords and any other type of weapon really. Nothing special.
Items they have: A leather bound pocket book of spells and recipes, and a coin purse. The book was handed down by her dad, and his dad before him. Some of the writing inside is faded and unreadable, but Betty does her best to fill in the blanks, not usually with a great deal of success.
Backstory: Betty is a bit of a klutz and accident prone. Most people don't take her seriously and laugh at her. She tries not to let people mocking her get her down. Even though her dad is a wizard of sorts, she was born on a farm, and she has a pet cow named Twix.
Other:
The penguin sounds like a raging milkoholic! Which is just a little odd if you ask me. thanx for the heads up anonymous pm'r
Abilities: Gwendolyn, although lacking any special powers, has a much higher endurance than an average human. She is also capable of small bursts of strength that, while not quite supernatural, are at the high end of what is normal. She also has a sensitivity to magic that allows her to roughly guess the location of magic users or magical creatures, assuming there aren't too many of them about. Gwen is an amatuer alchemist, though her limited skills are of little use without equipment.
Special Weaknesses (If any): Because she is lighter than average, she can be easily knocked over or even blown away by kinetic force. Her sensitivity to magic is often distracting, and she is completely incapable of using magic herself. She is also, while strong, slightly fragile and easily breakable.
Items they have: Nothing of terribly high value. Gwen has a purse with a few coins, several empty glass bottles, and a pigeon that she carries around in her sleeve. She also has a few other knick-knacks, such as pebbles and bits of string.
Backstory (Optional): She doesn't seem terribly forthcoming about that. And she never seems to take off her gloves.
Other: The sound of the penguin is a mystery. By that, I mean that I'm too lazy to look it up.
Eventually someone arrives with a large slab of raw meat on a plate.

Even any bones in the slab of meat aren't safe from her teeth, she just crunches them up too.
Maybe she should've sniffed it properly to check to see if it was poisoned or drugged, but she was so hungry she didn't think of that.

Meet Ashen the shoulder dragon!
Uyir headed back downstairs and sat with the alchemist "Anyways, I'm back from feeding a dragon meat. Where do you think we should go first?"
Other:
Name: Gwendolyn Columbid
Species: Human. Sort of.
