"Hmph!" exclaims Renard in response to Ariel's monologue, crossing his arms childishly. "Figures! Icky, icky girls! Not even once! Just like ravens-- never make eye contact with 'em unless you wanna be torn apart, both physically and mentally! Us guys gotta stick together!"
Renard pauses a little after his rant, shuffling awkwardly as he thinks to himself. Had he really meant to say that? It was strange; his mood had changed so quickly, and one thing lead to another...
"It's weird," he says, listening to Ariel's food inquiry. "I'm sure I haven't eaten in days, but I feel full for some reason... Hey! I'm 23, I've grown enough!"
Ariel is amused by the immature remarks coming out of Renard's mouth, especially the bit about the icky icky girls, that was just cute and made Ariel chuckle a little, despite the growing onset of nausea he was feeling. Whatever had happened to him was entertaining if nothing else.
"Well then..." He said, catching eye of the sword still floating around the room; "If you're not in the mood for food, how about we collect our things and head out?"
Ariel forces himself to move on, fighting the fever and illness as best he can as he shuffles towards the nearest door and returns the sword to his back. "Oh, and one other thing," He says, struggling with the door handle that slips from the sweat of his grip; "what in the hell was that fight about earlier in the hallway with that dragon? And who was that other guy with you? I can't pick his face... not that I had the best view while spinning through the air. I'm guessing it was the same guy that just came to life and ran away then?"
Ezmond Shakes Jack's hand and is all kinda pleased to meet the others too, except that freaky purple girl who didn't even acknowledge him. Maybe she's stuck up royalty or something like that. But at least Jack had the courtesy of introducing her anyway, for the fat lotta good it did! Ezmond on the other hand thinks Jack is quite the fine gentleman adventurer and well mannered, which goes a long way in Ezmond's book, because he's old school folk, and all that modern day punk disrespectful stuff really gets to him. He'd turned more than one teen into a turnip back in his own time and world. Silas seems like a friggen crazy old man in serious need of a haircut, but Ezmond Kinda likes him anyway. He also kinda smells a lot! Buttons is a different kettle of fish altogether. He sure is a cute kitten, but has a kinda snide mouth on him, but at the same time kinda funny, at least that's what Ezmond supposes.
After the quaint introduction, Ezmond puts his hat back on his head and asks Jack to take hold of Bob's hand so he doesn't go wandering off while he checks on his soul holding up in Buttons. Assuming that Jack don't mind doing that at all, Ezmond then bends on down and looks into the kittens eyes for what seems like an uncomfortably long time, after which he draws his conclusion, standing back up all smart like and shifting his hat a few times.
"Well now there, lil kitten man! No need to worry about a thing now, Ezmond is the best gosh darn Wizard to ever exist on the planet Earth, which is a place you probably haven't heard of! But in any huckering place, I'm ain't gonna have any problem getting that soul there back in your human body, no sir! So how about we get started?"
He looks at Jack and asks if it's ok if he keeps holding Bob's hand through the procedure. He also asks the other two, Trixie and Silas, to step back while the procedure takes place. Last thing Ezmond wants is something unexpected to go wrong - you can never be too careful with soul transference magic!
As Ezmond asks Jack to hold onto Bob so he doesn't wander off, Jack nods, taking hold of one of Bob's hands. As he asks about continuing to hold him during the procedure, Jack replies, "Sure, I can hold him while you transfer the soul. Do you need me to keep him still or anything, or just prevent him from wandering off?"
Buttons doesn't have a great deal to say, since pessimism and doubt had become a way of life for him since his soul had been delivered into a cat. The fact that Ezmond claimed to be a powerful Wizard wasn't exactly establishing any hope either, since a lot of people in life tended to brag about undeserved things. In honesty, this guy in overalls and a straw hat suited the part of a simple minded hick than an all-powerful wizard - but then again, despite the nagging sensation that things could possibly be about to get worse for him, Ezmond was the closest he had come to actually getting his soul back in his body, so he was willing to give him a chance.
Buttons just kinda sat there watching and waiting as Ezmond and Jack prepared.
Sluggy draws closer to the developing situation, creeping quietly along the wall and getting ready to make his move at just the right moment.... If all went as well as he hoped, his own soul would soon be the one to inhabit Bob's body!
An evil laugh sounds out in his mind
Meanwhile, Boris finds a storage room with all kinds of expensive items in boxes, barrels and crates. He rummages through and sticks a few select items in his pack, all the while not paying much mind to the noise that had erupted upstairs.

And who was that other guy with you? I can't pick his face... not that I had the best view while spinning through the air. I'm guessing it was the same guy that just came to life and ran away then?"
Renard doesn't move at all, despite Ariel having begun to leave the room. He shrugs and begins to reply.
"Questions are answered, which leads to new questions that when answered lead to more questions. Never stops, does it? Not much of a path for us to follow-- just the passage of fate."
The once aimlessly wandering sword stops in its tracks abruptly.
"I fell into a deep sleep earlier, and I spoke to myself. Or rather, a boy... who was my past self."
The sword slowly begins to rotate towards Renard.
"He was supposed to be me... or maybe I was supposed to be him? The boy really tried to mince his words, and beat around the bush, but I understood what he really meant. I suppose I'm the remnant of a dead boy named Faux. Through his dying desire to escape the passage of fate, he created something he could continue to live through. Me, body and soul, something that shouldn't have come into existence. An anomaly, if you will."
His eyes do not notice the sword beginning to move towards his chest.
"I can feel myself fading away as every hour passes too," he says, a slight bit of panic evident in his eyes. "I think I haven't got much time. I lived this long, but my luck's running out. I'll cease to exist, no one'll remember me, and the world'll go on running its regular course through the passage of fate."
The sword begins to dig into his chest-- not entirely piercing him yet.
"He asked of me a task, and that is to help restore this town to its former glory. I'm not exactly obligated, but my heart tells me to do so, and so I will. I guess you could say I went through changes just like you have. I don't feel empty like I did earlier... I just feel uncertain. I only have a few days at best, but I can try to help restore this town to its former glory. As nothing more than an observer, of course."
The sword finally brings Renard back in touch with reality. He quickly grabs the blade and spins the sword around, gripping the handle and guiding it into a non-existent scabbard at his hip.
"Jesus, is this thing working against me...?"
"Anyway," he says, shaking his head, "forget all that. It's a bit of a pain if we worry about too many things."
Renard shakes his head again and begins to follow Ariel, whilst something resembling a frown forms on his face.
"So, to actually answer your questions... the dragon belongs to that damned girl, remember? It's out of control. The dragon woke me up from my deep sleep, and for some reason, I was apparently locked in battle with the dragon even though I was sleeping. I was really confused-- and before I knew it, the dragon had gone and pierced the guy's neck."
He pauses to think for a second, eyes fixated on his sword in case it tries anything again.
"That guy, though... I've never seen him before. And he's now suddenly alive. Is it another illusion? What's an illusion and what's not? Is this entire mansion an illusion? How do we tell?!"
"So... with that outta the way, here's what we gotta do while we're here: we have to go find your accursed girlfriend, tell her to discipline her pet or else, and then we gotta go grab those two other girls and get outta here. And if they're unwilling, which they most likely will be, then screw 'em, I don't need a bunch of nasty, icky girls in my party, I'll do just fine with Ariel... and also Maras. He's here somewhere... he's attracted to trouble, you see. It's like a trail of breadcrumbs to him. We'll find him. Let's be quick; I haven't much time here."
He pauses briefly, shifting his eyes.
"We should grab that guy too; maybe he can tell me the secret to cheating death.
Allie quickly notices that probably the people who live here are not what she sees normally. "Well, I was wondering where everyone was. I just came in here..." she says, quietly.
"Ah, so you do not know what happened here? How strange..." The girl says, turning to the doll floating beside her as if she's asking it a question.
"Most of the people who used to live here are dead or have fled, the streets here are no longer safe, you see. Dark creatures roam around; you're lucky none have encountered you yet." The girl says, managing a smile.
"Anyway, what's your plan? Are you gonna run around without a goal, or do you have a reason for coming here?"
Betty sure is torn apart by Chissy's sad story. She sure ain't non too happy about someone taking control of her lil baby dragon, no sire, not one little bit at all! While Chissy is making an account of the events, Betty's lip if trembling with hurt, maybe a lil tear well up there in her eye as well and all that. After she finishes talking, Betty moves real slow so Chissy doesn't cower away and uses both hands to gently pat her cheeks and give her chin a good soothing scratch.
"Now just you hold on there, little one," Betty tells her in a real soft tone; "don't go pay'n too much attention to dreams, they don't usually mean all the stuff they seem to go on about. One thing I know for certain is that most dreams have alternative meanings, that's if they have any meaning at all to begin with. But it kinda looks like thinking about that is a problem for you, so maybe when you feel like it, you can share with ol Betty more details about that dream."
Betty leans in real slow and gives Chissy an affectionate kiss on her blood stained snout and says; "There ain't no one in this town gonna be ganging up on my Chissy for things outa her control. I'm gonna be making gosh darn certain of that, so let me tell ya that much right now. And just so as you know, my little cutie, I'm assuming it's them same guys controlling your mind like yesterday, right? Well I think you and me have some searching to do. Number one; We gotta go find that boy and set the truth straight before he goes around hollering all kinda bad stuff about you to the others. And don't you go get'n all afraid either, because if anyone tries attacking you, they're gonna have to get through me first."
Betty gets up, puts her hands smartly on her hips and gives Chissy a big ol confident smile. "You're gonna have to clean all that blood off your darling lil face first!
Vengeance may be best served cold, but I ain't no patient farm girl, and God only knows how long it will be before they try something like that on you again. So after setting that boy straight about the truth behind why you did all that stuff, how about you and me go hunting down them guys who did all that bad stuff to your brain, and give em a piece of ol Betty's cranky mind?"
Ezmond Shakes Jack's hand and is all kinda pleased to meet the others too, except that freaky purple girl who didn't even acknowledge him. Maybe she's stuck up royalty or something like that. Silas stands back from whatever is going to happen next. He becomes silent and emotionless, only watching the next unfolding events in mild interest and anticipation.

Ei doesn't seem very convinced by 'Annie's' dissapointing look, and opens her mouth to say something, but is interrupted by the noise coming from upstairs. When Ki arrives, Ei sighs.
"Maras, help Ki. I got business to attend to up in the attic." Ei says, fading away, while Maras doesn't waste time, running his spear through the shadowy creature and pulling it off of Ki in an attempt to stop it from choking Ki. As he does so, a person standing in the doorway decides that now is as good a time as any to try and be useful and throws a dagger at 'Annie'
The shadow-form is… irritated by the assault, enough for it to release its grip on Ki, who immediately scrambles to her feet and flees for safety down the hall, through the dining room and into the following hallway where she now discovers herself in the presence of Jack, Silas, Ezmond, Trixie, Bob, Buttons and, no doubt, a yet to be noticed Slug on the wall.
She comes to a halt, quiet in the notion of imposition as she looks the group over, one hand rubbing the red marks on her throat.
In the foyer, the shadow-figure shifts to one side. Maras’ spear is removed like a hot knife slipping out from a block of butter. As it then stands to face its aggressors, it takes the dagger by its grip, removes it, and throws it hard at the throat of the person in the doorway. Despite showing no indications of bleeding or physical wounds, the featureless shadow does, however, appear to be injured in some fashion, teetering awkwardly as one who is obviously grieved. It speaks:
“I’m just a pawn, serving a greater purpose.…”
In its closing words, the shadow fades away.
As the blast of light hits Annie’s chamber, a large shadow appears on the wall on the opposite end of the attic, which proceeds to pull all colour in the room into it, along with any magic the figures might launch. It doesn't take too long before the shadow takes up a more recognisable shape, and Ei emerges from it.
"Sorry, but the show's over. I'm gonna have to ask you people to either leave Annie alone or perish, I've run out of patience so I'm giving you five seconds to make up your minds."
While the five seconds slowly tick away, Ei's shadow begins to expand, soon it covers most of the floor like a large oil spill, and Ei, assuming the figures haven't fled, sighs.
"Well, I was nice enough to grant you one final opportunity to flee, but you seem to not want to live." She says, as she reaches forward.
Out of the shadowy mass on the floor in front of her emerges a sword, with a large blade that seems to occasionally ripple like the surface of water. Ei firmly grips the large sword with her outstretched hand, and clenches her fist with the other, in response to which the door to the attic fades away, leaving no exit.
"So then," Ei says, as she moves forward, closer to the figures. "Do you have any last things to say before you perish?"
Unfortunately, Ei seems to be going about this the wrong way. Her efforts to drain magic has little to no effect on the light being cast by the dark figures, since their abilities are part of who they are…. The light, as many of the ‘powers’ the Order asserts, is a product of their physiology, not spell or incantation. They do not yet see Ei as a threat, ignoring her advance and continuing to hammer Annie’s encasement, which at this point is beginning to crack under the bombardment of repetitious strikes. Perhaps using the sword will help in some way.
The battle between the two beastly forms of Ezra and Vernon, carries through the hall of the second floor and down a flight of stairs. The weight of combat continues to be heard throughout the mansion.
Silas whips his head to look over at her, alarmed at what just suddenly happened. "Um... who the heck are you?" he questions, a bit vulgarly, slightly pointing his finger at her while keeping his hand near his body, his arm folded.

Maras watches as the shadow fades away, and sighs.
"I better go see where Ki ran off to..." he mutters to nobody in particular, and runs off to try and find Ki

Perhaps using the sword will help in some way.
As Ei notices her attempt failing, she sighs, cursing under her breath while she does so. She extends and arm towards the encasement, and the black substance on the floor starts moving, spreading across the floor around the encasement and rising up to form a thick, black dome over it.
"You know, when Annie first revealed your secret and what the Order are, I didn't think much of it, but now I realise you're just a bunch of bitter thugs. It's pathetic that a group of beings like you would panic just because a little girl doesn't want to get involved. You can't even keep your allies as your allies, so how do you expect to have a chance at accomplishing your goals? That which you call the 'Master' probably doesn't care about your group, let alone if you can't even keep your group together." Ei says, as she approaches the figures, the black substance that covers the floor rippling like water with every step she takes, smiling while she does so; she remembered Annie warning her about revealing her knowledge of the order, but she had little to lose. Perhaps this would get them to try and silence Ei instead of attacking Annie, hopefully either giving her the opportunity to defeat them, or at the very least buy time for help to arrive.
"Oh, hmm... Nothing much... I guess?" says Allie, quietly looking downwards and brushing off the mud stuck to her dress. "Anyway, do you know where the rest of the people in this place is? Maybe you can take me to them..."
The girl scratches her head.
"To be completely honest, I've only seen one person in the past week, and he didn't look like a resident to me... Anyway, it's late, do you plan on spending the night in a random house here, or what? It's not safe to be out on the streets at night."
Sunset goes to look around for a way back to her friends. Unfortunately for her she doesn't find her way back to them, as it is blocked by debris and pieces from the church. She decides to pace about the place for now, staying quiet and on alert just in case.
Trixie glanced at the others around her for a second, before turning to look at Ki, surprised by this Girl coming in suddenly. She doesn't say anything yet, letting Jack, or perhaps Buttons speak. Perhaps she doesn't really know what to say, but her face does show slight concern.
Gwendolyn stares at the mansion, her eyes glinting balefully in the dull light of the night sky. She can feel it, shining on her like a sun, bathing her in invisible light that crawls beneath her skin and claws at the insides of her veins. Her gloves are forgotten, draped on a nearby branch. Her hands itch.
I should run, she thinks, absently. A trickle of blood tickles her lip as another wave of energy washes over the building. The pigeon sits in the crook of her arm, staring glassily at nothing at all.
She smiles, reveling in the silent stillness of a bird caught in the cat's teeth. It is a silence born of a place beyond fear.
Ace's eyes twitch open, and they turn to stare at Vernon from where they were leaning against the wall. Apparently deciding that there is no danger, they shut their eyes.
Out of Character:
It would appear that Sunset and Gwen are free to move about town, Ace is free to make a decision to wake up and move at their leisure, and Trixie is busy with Jack and Co. Each of said characters are in a position of freedom to move about without the restriction of any subplot, rendering the complaints submitted over the last few days on a Discord server absent of substance.
Since these said characters have been in a position for interaction outside of the subplot for quite some time, the GM’s decision not to respond to them is not something I can help with. Furthermore, making a decision to act when you are free to do so would be more constructive than making unsubstantiated complains and insults.
In the future, perhaps we could learn to get along as friends partaking in a game. This would be preferred.
Silas whips his head to look over at her, alarmed at what just suddenly happened. "Um... who the heck are you?" he questions, a bit vulgarly, slightly pointing his finger at her while keeping his hand near his body, his arm folded.

Out of Character:
Will respond further on this situation once Pandolen has posted, or otherwise I will not if Darth decides to take control of Ki's character until such a time that she reunites with Vernon.
Maras watches as the shadow fades away, and sighs.

Out of Character:
Well played ^
In Character:
The blasts of light emitted from the Order continue to strike at the black covering placed by Ei, for a moment intensifying and cause the black substance to heat and smoke. This intensified assault however ceases upon the hearing of Ei’s words...
…Each drone turns to Ei, for a time they are silent. Although their faceless forms do not speak in response, their silence clearly indicates the concern for things she has said.
Ei now hears a voice moving clearly through her mind:
A mark has been set upon you. We will not suffer your existence to continue.
With said reply delivered, the four Dark figures move forth quickly at Ei, one of which extends an arm, casting a blade of crimson light at her neck with the intent to decapitate.
Meanwhile, perhaps in response to the new development in the attic, the battle between Ezra and Vernon changes. Ezra has received new orders.
Instead of struggling to overcome Vernon, which has proved to be a futile cause, Ezra now frees himself from the entanglement of this battle, becoming ethereal form and passing through a nearby wall in his endeavor to fulfill his renewed orders.
Out of Character:
Apologies for not being as active as I would hope. Work has had me burdened of late. I however hope to post more frequently in the near future.
Sunset has woken up again from a short nap by the sounds of something falling in the distance, perhaps a branch or just the wind. She knows very well to be careful in the dark of the town, and gets up and looks around for a few seconds, before setting off in the direction of the town, closing in the houses there and quietly opening the door of one, and starts looking around. There is very dim light, but it is indeed still light. The room she came into becomes suddenly much darker as a small light ball forms in Sunset's right hand, aiding her in her search, specifically for valuable items, and weapons. Around a second or 2 later, the room resumes to its normal light level.

Ei smiles, her plan apparently working as the figures instead turn their attention to Ei, and launch an attack. Seeing as how the attack seems to to just be aimed at her current position, Ei manages to swiftly evade it by charging forward underneat the attack, and towards one of the figures. The time it takes for her to do so is very short; almost as if the distance between Ei's starting position and her current position - in front of one of the figures - is far shorter than it looks. Not wasting time, Ei swings her sword at the figure horizontally. While she does so, the blade seemingly rips a tear in the air like a knife tears a hole in a piece of cloth, and black ooze starts leaking out of the tear, onto the ground.

Sunset sighs quietly as she realizes this, she hopes there is something at least somewhat valuable inside of that closet, she opens it up and looks inside, if there is anything value, she steals it. She then takes one last look around the house, checking the walls, ceilings and floorboards for possible hidden hatches, she would tell by the possible outlines. She also moves furniture and stuff around quietly, to see if anything was behind them. She moves quietly and efficiently as she has done this many times before.

Ace's eyes blink open in the dark. They drift to where Vernon and Sunset had been sleeping.
Flicking their gaze to the still-blocked door, the empty spot, and back again, they scramble to their feet. For a second, there is silence.
The altar wrenches itself from the ground, its carvings and decorations shattering and peeling like bits of shed snakeskin. With an unsettling, unnatural motion, it abruptly plows through one of the walls. It leaves a gaping hole before smashing into the ground outside.
Ace gingerly steps through the gap and into the light of the stars outside.
Ei is swift, though she need not be, as the drone has offered itself as candidate for further knowledge to Ei’s power for the greater good of understanding. The drone does not attempt to defend itself in any way. It receives the attack. As the sword opens a tear in its form, a violet light ripples over its person. In so doing, the light disperses, much alike a shockwave, instantaneously sharing the knowledge of the power with all others in the Order. The one injured drone falls to the floor momentarily out of action, however the other three drones have now adapted, rendering further of the same assaults from Ei on them futile.
Ei may have proven to be of great speed, however the Order are well apt in the knowledge of space-time. They have already made a responsive move to commandeer her. In the moment she struck the one drone, Ei has been seized by the other three drones. One drone has hold of her sword with one hand, gripping it by the blade, uninjured. It’s other hand has seized her neck. The other two drones are instantaneously at either side of her and it would seem that their forms have changed, for now Ei is entangled with countless tentacle that constrict about her body like pythons. She is bound.
In this state, Ei and the three Drones are enveloped in a single sphere of violet radiance. This light serves as a vessel that carries all four members from the attic, transcending a nearby wall and disappears. The mansion quakes at their departure.
Ei and the three drones are no longer present in this dimension. Ei has been abducted. She is now in the Order’s Domain, where her powers will be of no use. She stands before the Order’s High Council. She is on trial and at their mercy….
The single drone left in the attic raises one hand. The tear in the fabric of atmosphere created by Ei’s sword is sealed. The drone pushes to its feet. It stands still while its wound heals.
Outside, the sun is on the rise, first light sheds its warmth over the town of Waise.
Beside the healing drone in the attic, Annie’s encasement begins to vibrate. It would seem that dawn has initiated her awakening. As the vibrations become more intense, the shell cracks and splits. It ruptures and peels open like the petals of a blooming flower. She sits up. She turns her eyes to the drone beside her. The Drone turns to meet her glare. She speaks a single word to it. This word comes forth like that of cracking thunder that causes the town of Waise to convulse in one hard shake.
“LEAVE!”
In the moment before the words comes forth, the drone has realized its pending doom, a trace of the word ‘no’ escapes its hood before its entire form comes apart in an explosion of crimson particles. The millions of particles ignite, filling the attic with fire. A moment later the only trace of the drone’s existence is a thick grey smoke that fills the attic.
Annie climbs from her chamber, her bare feet touching down on the attic floor. Her voice can now be heard a second time, like that of a childish giggle that moves in distorted variance throughout the mansion.
Vernon, no longer in Battle with Ezra and spurred by the thunder of Annie’s word, rises to his feet while his appearance reverts to that of man. He breaks into a smile at the hearing of his daughter’s laughter.
Ei.
Ei finds herself… somewhere. This place is akin to a large hall, its arced walls and flat floor appear to be made of a flesh-like substance, writhing and pulsing with life. These movements cause Ei to shifts and sway where she stands. She will however find herself unable to move from her position, constricted by unseen forces. Her sword is no longer in hand. There is only one other individual with her. This individual hovers above the floor perhaps fifty yards away, and look like nothing more than a cloak of violet light that stands ten feet in height. This individual remains quiet for an elusive amount of time before communicating with Ei, transmitting its calm and sedative thoughts to her mind:
“I am the Order. Your powers are useless here. You may speak…. Declare your cause. Now.”
Ei will find herself with an irresistible need to comply with the Orders inquisition to the best of her ability and understanding, as if her mind is being manipulated by an unknown force, not being of yet having the effects of hypnosis.
Ariel & Renard
Ariel and Renard have not yet left the room when Ezra enters in his beastly form. He does not use the door, but simple appears from a wall and becomes corporeal, announcing his arrival with a shrilling battle cry - and in an instant he has made his advance, grabbing Renard with one hand, he throws the man across the room where he collides hard with a wall, his other hand grabs Ariel in much the fashion, casting him too across the room in Renard’s direction. He too collides hard with the wall.
Turning to face his marks, Ezra releases a horrendous voice, barely understandable –
“There will be no living witness!”
Jack, Ezmond, Buttons & Co
Meanwhile, Annie, moving with amazing grace, descends the stairs from the attic, through the workings of the mansion, and arrives with her glare fixed on a group of people at the other end of a hallway.
Annie now has the physical development of a woman in her later teens. The skin of her body glows with a soft, white radiance. Her exposed belly shows early signs of being with child. Her eyes have a crimson aura. She speaks in a whisper-soft voice, and despite the distance between herself and the group, her words are eerily present with them, brushing at their ears;

“Where is my lover?”
"It wasn't me, I didn't take her!" Sluggy squeals and starts making his less than hasty escape up the wall, abandoning his waited efforts to steal Buttons' human body.
Buttons, still waiting for something to happen with Ezmond, lets out a long tiresome sigh when Annie appears down the end of the hall and poses her question.
He looks up at Jack to say; "As much as I'm oddly enjoying the new view, I have a bad feeling about this." Turning his head back to look at Annie, he calls out; "I'm with the slug - I haven't seen your lover!"

Soon after hearing the thunderous voice, followed by the sound of a familiar female voice giggling - Ariel is caught by surprise, barely able to react at all to Ezra's arrival before he's thrown across the room and slammed into a wall. He crashes down to the floor, shaking his head a little to gather his senses, then with a still slightly dazed look he turn his sights to Renard beside him.
"I guess we're up then?"
Pushing to his feet, and still feeling a tad queasy from the changes his body is going through, he brandishes his swords and gives it a swift twirl at the beast on the other side of the room.

Silas suddenly hears the familiar voice and breaks away from talking with Ki. (As if anything happened there :P)
Then he saw Annie. His blood froze as he went back through Silas' memories.
"No," he muttered. "It cannot be." He took a few steps back. "The one that you love is no longer here!" he yelled. "It's gone, and not even you can bring it back!" In a gesture of defiance, he grabbed the nearest person and forced Ki between Annie and him. "I've been wandering for so long and I intend to keep this body! Devour its very soul if I must!" he growled hungrily.

(Edit: Condensed)
"Ah, so you do not know what happened here? How strange..." The girl says, turning to the doll floating beside her as if she's asking it a question.
"Most of the people who used to live here are dead or have fled, the streets here are no longer safe, you see. Dark creatures roam around; you're lucky none have encountered you yet." The girl says, managing a smile.
"Anyway, what's your plan? Are you gonna run around without a goal, or do you have a reason for coming here?"
Silas stands back from whatever is going to happen next. He becomes silent and emotionless, only watching the next unfolding events in mild interest and anticipation.

The weight of combat continues to be heard throughout the mansion.
.............................................................................
Silas whips his head to look over at her, alarmed at what just suddenly happened. "Um... who the heck are you?" he questions, a bit vulgarly, slightly pointing his finger at her while keeping his hand near his body, his arm folded.

Trixie glanced at the others around her for a second, before turning to look at Ki, surprised by this Girl coming in suddenly. She doesn't say anything yet, letting Jack, or perhaps Buttons speak. Perhaps she doesn't really know what to say, but her face does show slight concern.
Apparently this is what some of my friends think of me here:
"Always drunk." - Nights
"He's cool." - Pi
"[INSULT] [INSULT] [INSULT]." - Sparky
"He's adorable." - Leere
"¯\_(ツ)_/¯" - Digits
"Nothin͝g ̡is̴ w̵r͏o̧n̵g͡. ̵Don'͝t t͠ell ́t͡h̡em̶ an̷yt̀hi̴n̢g̸. "
"Oh, hmm... Nothing much... I guess?" says Allie, quietly looking downwards and brushing off the mud stuck to her dress. "Anyway, do you know where the rest of the people in this place is? Maybe you can take me to them..."
Take a break.
Maras watches as the shadow fades away, and sighs.
"I better go see where Ki ran off to..." he mutters to nobody in particular, and runs off to try and find Ki
The girl scratches her head.
"To be completely honest, I've only seen one person in the past week, and he didn't look like a resident to me... Anyway, it's late, do you plan on spending the night in a random house here, or what? It's not safe to be out on the streets at night."
Out of Character:
Will respond further on this situation once Pandolen has posted, or otherwise I will not if Darth decides to take control of Ki's character until such a time that she reunites with Vernon.

The house is completely empty, looters seem to have taken everything that hasn't been nailed down except for one lone closet standing against the wall.

Annie now has the physical development of a woman in her later teens. The skin of her body glows with a soft, white radiance. Her exposed belly shows early signs of being with child. Her eyes have a crimson aura. She speaks in a whisper-soft voice, and despite the distance between herself and the group, her words are eerily present with them, brushing at their ears;
“Where is my lover?”
.............................................................................
"Welcome to the party, freak!"

As Annie speaks, Jack turns, just staring at her for a moment in confusion while Sluggy and Buttons respond. He follows them up, still confused, "Sorry, girl, but I don't know who your lover is. So for obvious reasons I can't exactly tell you where they are..."
Jack looks at Silas as he responds to Annie, unsure what to think of his response. He glances back at Annie, raking his memories for any naked glowing pregnant teenage girls he may have seen at some point during the past two days, but nothing in particular comes to mind. He looks back at Silas as he asks, "You know her?"
"And you don't? You have met Annie before, unless your mind was tampered with as well!" 'Silas' groans, continuing to browse through the host's memories while keeping Ki captive.

"Wait." Jack looks at Annie again for a moment, then back to Silas. "That's Annie? She didn't look like that last time I saw her."
