As Fin shakes the figure's hand, the figure slowly fades away and the surroundings fade into a void. Soon, Fin is all alone in the darkness.
"This will be your last chance at life. If you perish again, nothing can bring you back. Even ones most skilled at ressurecting the dead will be powerless to bring you back."
Fin then wakes up again in the mansion, while a person he's never seen before is fighting with the person who tried to safe him, with all the wounds on his body having healed.
"You have 24 hours to ask the question. Fail and your life shall end again. I'd make haste if I were you. And be careful, there might be some... side-effects to being revived." A voice in his head says, reminding him of the encounter he just had.
Fin looked at the two fighters, before immediately running out of the room through a nearby doorway. These two don't look so reasonable... I better find someone else. I've gotta find that girl FAST. Fin knew the urgency of this mission. If he didn't find the girl without color soon, he'd be as good as dead... Literrally.
(If the Kitchen connects to the main hall, he entered into it and meets the people conversing in it. If not, he runs out into some random room you have in store for him.)
Trixie rose an eyebrow. "Weird. We should get out of this place, don't you think? Unlock the mystery of the town and leave before we all die?"
"Given the circumstances this mansion are currently in, I don't think leaving is even a possibility, for the time being. Besides, I doubt roaming Waise at night would prove to be any safer than staying here."
"Well, it's kind of a long story," Buttons seems too lazy to go into detail, possibly because doing so wouldn't help his situation in the end. "Long story short; I met a girl, we fell in love, got married, had a couple of kids." Buttons sighs. "After all that I discovered she was a witch, therefore a liar. An argument ensued and she subsequently stuck my soul into the body of the family pet. Yours truly. Then that wretched witch was nice enough to shoot through with the kids and leave me here like this. As it turns out, though," Buttons regards the slug up on the wall; "Apparently Sluggy encountered my Ex after she shot through, in the next town over from here. I guess Jane is leaving a trail of talking animals along the countryside. First thing I'm gonna do when I get back into my human body is hunt that filthy witch down and put an end to her rampage."
"I see. Sounds like if she keeps at it she's gonna have a small army of talking animals seeking vengeance soon enough."
"Call me whatever you want, just don't call me late for dinner, especially if fish is on the menu. Honestly though, Jack, I'm more concerned about getting back into my human body than anything else. These fleas are really annoying. But yeah, definitely some sort of powerful illusion magic going on around here." He looks drearily at the door to the dining room again. "In any case, these dark robed guys, if that's who is actually responsible for the crap going on around here, don't really have any further interest in this so called 'abomination'. To be perfectly straight with you though, I don't really feel like they're the biggest threat around here."
Jack nods, replying, "It's possible they aren't. But at the same time, they're potentially the biggest threat here I am aware of. Only time will tell if something worse either is discovered or decides to reveal itself. Whatever's the cause of the quarantine here, I want to find out what it is, and put an end to it if it's a threat. Not entirely sure why I feel so compelled to, but..." he pauses, glancing at Magebuster hanging in its sheath, "Well, I guess you could say that sort of thing is in my blood."
"I'm pretty sure that's easier said than done, cupcake," He tells her in a condescending manner. "and don't worry, I'm pretty sure if they wanted you dead you wouldn't have made it out of the dining room."
After nibbling a flea on his hind leg, he looks back to Jack with question;
"You know what, come to think about it, I'm more inclined to find that little girl more of a threat than anyone else I've seen around here. The problems around Waise have only increased since she reared her ugly noggin. You know the little girl I'm talking about, right? You might have seen her running around town like a bloodthirsty wacko? Anyway, she did something with my human body back at the arena. Some sort of spell or something. ...I'm tell'n ya, there's something very wrong about that girl. If you ask me, killing that nut job will solve a lot problems around here."
"Annie, yes. I know of her. She's certainly more than capable of posing a threat, from what I've seen. If I were to partake in any attempt to kill her, though, I'd want to be certain that she is actually a problem, and not just a red herring. I've... seen it in the past; too many have died to suspicion alone, and I can't allow myself to fall into that."
Silas shakes his head, sternly announcing "No, of course not!" The demeanor currently exhibited by Silas was not quite himself, at least not like the Silas that Jack met in the church.
"Talking cat?" he asks. "Eh, not the weirdest thing I've seen," he sighs. Kneeling down to the cat, he then darkly mutters "Oh, the injury will heal itself in time, and I don't particularly care about this body right now..." Suddenly, he returns to a cheery grin and gets back up, noting "If the rest of the party won't come here, maybe we could leave and leave them a note?"
"Maybe, but I don't exactly have anything to write one with on hand, and I doubt the slug, the cat, or the recently-transformed former pony would, so unless you have something..."
Lyudmila shakes her head at the voice, and looks around the now-empty room before sighing and walking to a nearby wall.
"She's not gonna be happy." Lyudmila says to herself as she places her hand on the wall, and a pitch-black doorway opens. Lyudmila walks through it and the doorway closes behind her, leaving the room empty.
((I'm assuming this doorway she created doesn't go out into the hallway (if it did I would assume she would've just used the normal door), but if it does I can add on Jack's reaction to her entering in my next post. Same goes for Fin, not sure if he's going out into the hallway or not.))

Apparently this is what some of my friends think of me here:
Allie runs down the street in an attempt to catch up to the figure, it's cold and wet outside, and the stones that make up the road are slippery, and the muddy bits of dirt aren't very nice to step in either. Inevitably, Allie slips and lands in a muddy puddle. Before she can get up though, she hears footsteps coming closer.
"Need a hand?"
Allie doesn't remember why she has this weird obsession on trying to keep her shoes safe, but apparently she's fine with getting her nice white dress dirty. Allie looks back and sees someone there...
"Ah, yeah, I think I need help..." she mumbles quietly.
Vernon opens his eyes. He rolls to his side and gives Ki a light shake. She awakens. He waves his finger to hush her.
"Don’t make a sound…."
Ki has heard his thoughts.
"It’s time to go, kid."
He takes her by the hand.
"Are you ready?"
There is something in Vernon’s calm demeanor preventing Ki from feeling fear, yet her thoughtful curiosity for Venon’s unexpected behavior can be heard.
"My time has come," He answers her, "it’s time to step from the shadows."
Deciding to trust Vernon, Ki provides a slight nod in answer to his question. She is ready.
"Don’t be afraid. I am in control." As Ki hears these words move through her mind, her vision fades to black…
Ki’s vision returns as the black scrolls away. She has appeared hand in hand with Vernon, by the side entrance to the mansion. Vernon gives her a wink and, casually using his free hand as though pulling aside a curtain, removes the pink force field from the door.
"Did I ever tell you I have a daughter?"
Slightly skeptical to the prospect of what Vernon is telling her, Ki narrows one eye.
"She’s nothing like you."
Ki smiles.
"It would seem she needs my help. But hey… what else are dead fathers for?"
Ezra has changed. He seems… amused by the efforts of the other presence in the attic.
“Take not a dog by the ears, lest you be bit.” His words are steady, no trace of the fear he previously portrayed. “You’re interfering with family affairs. Be gone.”
With a shot of breath from one of Ezra's nostrils, the runes on the floor shatter like thin ice and sweep across the attic in many pieces to the skirting of a wall, where they melt, soaking quickly into the dry timber of the floor.
As Ezra is freed from his bondage, his appearance begins to change….
"Dead?" Ki asks, her grip on Vernon’s hand tightening as they make way through the dark hallways of the mansion.
Vernon rubs her knuckles with his thumb to help relieve any onset of fear, replying with a jovial connotation; "I’m not really dead"
"She thinks you are?"
"That’s right, kid. She had no reason to disbelieve her mother’s lies. All those times she’d seen me in town while begging for coin from strangers…," Vernon explains, as they begin their climb to the second floor, "…how it pained me not to let her know who I was…. I was nothing more than another face in the crowd."
Ki seems confused as they make way along the upstairs hallway toward the stairwell to the attic. "Who is she?"
“You’ll be meeting her soon, Ki…. You may have seen her around from time to time. They call her Annie…."
"But why keep it a secret?" Ki inquires. They begin their climb to the attic. "Why not tell her you were her father?"
“Because…” Vernon breaks the silence to speak as they come to a halt in the threshold to the attic, facing the monstrosity that looms over the bed of Annie’s chamber; “That’s one trait she has in common with me.”
Vernon now turns a severe glare to Ki, instructing her to stand behind him. She does not hesitate to do so. What she’s seen standing in the attic has filled her with fear, her hands trembling as she grips to Vernon’s belt.
"Relax, I’ve got this," he tells her, turning his focus to the monstrosity, saying;
“I see the Order deploy assassins to handle the dirty jobs these days. Must be tough managing a wee girl…. Little overkill, though, don’t you think?”
Ezra, no longer the depiction of a tortured soul dragged forth from the fires of hell, turns his intense crimson eyes at Vernon – Though his facial features are similar to that of a gargoyle, his head and tall, sleek body appears to have no epidermal layer; the midnight-green veins and the well-toned muscle fibres of his umber flesh are clearly visible. Though he stands erect on two legs, he has four arms, hands and feet shaped alike primates while each digits, his opposable toes included, are embellished with razor sharp, hooked back nails. He has no visible genitalia – Despite his less than common air, his look of conjecture for Vernon was unmistakable.
“Can’t quite pick my face?” Vernon asked, taking a step into the room. “I must admit, it was quite some time ago. Still, I remember you well, Ezra. But then… who could forget an ugly head like yours?”
Ezra appears… spooked, as he replies in a wisp and gravelled voice, “State your name….”
“I’m hurt, really…” Vernon discernibly lies. “You don’t remember me. Then, I guess I did something right… So how about…” He looks off to the side with pretentious thoughtfulness; “How about you just call me… The Gallant Knight.”
Ezra now turns his entire body at Vernon, tilting his stare with further curiosity, no doubt endeavouring to place a memory to Vernon’s face. Within moments his recollection for Vernon is seen in a short, uneasy quiver of his flesh, while his intensely narrow stare widens with consternation.
“You….”
“Yes…” Vernon smiles complacently; “It is I.”
In the foyer…
…Annie is regarding Ei’s question with disappointment, which, in light of the events about to take place, is no doubt a ruse to further deceive her –
A horrendously loud noise is heard throughout the mansion, that of inhuman yelling and heavy crashing, as though a fight between monsters has suddenly erupted from direction of the attic.
Ki then appears beside Annie, instantly speaking to Ei with the words: “You left your post.”
Annie finds Ki’s sudden appearance and the sound of the upstairs battle infuriating, as she yells out ‘no’ in frustration and grabs Ki by the neck with intent to strangle her. As she takes Ki to the floor, Annie’s form changes to that of a shadow, while Ki, being choked by this ghostly form, looks to Maras for help.
In the Attic, Vernon now looks much alike a man made of granite, while he and Ezra are locked in battle. The two embroiled bodies crash through a wall then down through the floor as their battle spills out into the hallway of the second floor.
As their battle progresses through the mansion, four dark figures appear surrounding Annie’s chamber.
Each of the four figures waste no time raising their hands high to strike the chamber with a sharp blast of crimson light!
In the kitchen...
...In the wake of the massive noise that can clearly be heard taking place upstairs, Fin jumps to his feet and flees the room. As this happens, Ariel no longer sees Fin as Betty, Renard once again sees Ariel as the Angel he knows, and they both can hear the words each other speak as normal.
…it would seem that the illusion taking place has now been interrupted by the event taking place upstairs.

Renard breathes a sigh of relief as he sees Ariel revert from his so obviously and conveniently evil appearance, also stopping in his tracks as the dead man suddenly jumps up and runs away, accompanied by some infernal noise heard from upstairs. He hadn't known people to get up after being impaled through the neck, but nonetheless...
"Ariel...? Have you come to your senses?" he says, a slight bit of hesitation evident in his voice.
Betty wakes up from all the gosh darn racket going on in the mansion. She ain't happy cuz she was having a perfectly good beaver's at a picnic dream! Chissy is still asleep for the time being, but that probably ain't gonna last since Betty gets on up and opens the door to the bedroom and yells at them two monstrosities that are now fighting it out in the hallway just outside. The two monsters were pretty gosh darn scary to look at, but Betty didn't really care!
"KEEP THE GOSH DARN MOTHER FRIG'N RACKET DOWN YOU GOOD FOR NOTH'N FREAKS - WE'RE TRYING TO GET SOME SLEEP IN HERE!!!!"
After that she slams the door and looks down at Chissy, who is probably more than likely awake at this point.
"Hey there lil sweetie! Why don't you go and tell your ol friend Betty what's been going on around here and how you got all them injuries. Because I gotta tell ya right this instant, someones gonna pay!"
She sits on down in front of Chissy all casual like and listens to her story.
Meanwhile! Ezmond is still guiding Bob down the hallways of the mansion in search of Bob's soul when the big ol noise starts up in the attic or something.
"This town sure has more than its fair share of the ol ruckus," He tells Bob; "Sure hope to the heavens my darling Betty is okay."
Just when he finishes say'n that, they turn a corner and find some old guy, a kitten, an adventurer and some purple woman standing around in the hallway gasbag'n. Think'n they all seem mostly harmless to look at at, he walks on up with Bob to introduce himself.
"Well, how all you folks do'n?" He asks, removing his big ol straw hat out of courtesy; "My name is Ezmond, and this here is an empty shell of a man I found wandering about in the library!"

When all the combat noise started up from one of the other rooms in the attic, Chisille immediately woke up. This had to have been at least the 5th or 6th time she was interrupted in her sleep on the same night. Sure there had been other nights like this, but not when she had also been forced to do things she didn't want to do by an unknown force while in a building with half a dozen humans that could burst through the door and take her down at any moment.
Chisille shifted herself off of Betty as she got up from the place she was sleeping to go tempt fate by shouting at those making the noise. While she was busy doing that, Chisille spun around the take a look at herself. Something felt strange about her tail. Then she saw what it was, the part that had been cut from before was wrapped up tightly by some sort of cloth now partially stained red to stop the bleeding. It reminded her of some of those snaring vines she once got caught in and had to bite to get free.
However once she gets questioned by Betty she visibly shrinks down, curling her injured tail around herself. Betty can tell that she feels ashamed and guilty about something. She can't even make eye contact with her.
"I... got into fight. Wasn't my fault... they made me do it. Was trying to sleep and... and they make me feel all angry. Made me hunt around for a girl inside this place. Couldn't find them so I kept walking around until I..."
She paused for a moment before continuing. Obviously the next part was hard for her to tell.
"...This human got in the way of me. The voices in my head... they make me attack them. They made me chase them until they fall down and then a kid shows up with sword. They try to keep me from... killing. They stab me to stop me killing... It hurt."
Chisille looks visibly nervous now, as if talking about the next part would end their friendship right there and then.
"I killed them. The first human. They're dead now! I didn't mean to... I was made to be angry! I didn't want any of that! Now the will kid go and tell all the other humans about what I did... and they will all get weapons and they will all go after me to get revenge..."
She starts to sniffle, the scared feeling coming back as she tried to hold back tears.
"And... and... dream make me do something bad. Dream make me feel good about it and I don't want to feel good about it. Don't want to do it to you and not going to ask. Don't care what dream says!"
At the last few words, she stands up and flares her wings as if to emphasize how she feels. She knew this was going to have issues later, but she didn't need to do it right on the spot. She could find someone way less important.

Buttons gives Silas an awkward stare, lip slightly curled.
"Yeeaaah... sure. Good luck with that. Why not use that blood of yours to leave a finger message on the wall? That'll work. Maybe write something like, 'Silas was here. Probably dead by time you read this message because I'm bleeding to death and the lack of blood to my brain has already started to take affect on my ability to think straight' ?"
She nodded in agreement with Jack. “Trixie believes we should interrogate those figures. She will find out what is going on here!” she declared.
"Better yet..." Buttons tells Silas; "the message should read: 'Trixie was here, but then tried and interrogate a dark figure. RIP.'"
He looks at Jack; "How about we do something that sounds far more realistic, and try finding someone who can stick my soul back in my body? I'd appreciate the help."
Meanwhile! Ezmond is still guiding Bob down the hallways of the mansion in search of Bob's soul when the big ol noise starts up in the attic or something.
"This town sure has more than its fair share of the ol ruckus," He tells Bob; "Sure hope to the heavens my darling Betty is okay."

"Well, how all you folks do'n?" He asks, removing his big ol straw hat out of courtesy; "My name is Ezmond, and this here is an empty shell of a man I found wandering about in the library!"
Just then, Buttons is distracted by the loud noise upstairs but, with his kitty hearing, can also pick up on the sound of someone approaching down the hallway behind him. He looks back to see a weird farmer looking dude in overalls and a straw hat, who also just happens to be holding Bob's hand...
"Well, speak of the devil.... Who would have seen that coming?"
Knowing all the bad luck he's had over the last few years, Buttons didn't really expect anything hopeful to take place with this oddly spoken farmer, so, once Ezmond introduces himself, Buttons just released a pessimistic groan and told the farmer straight;
"Yeah, pleased to meet ya, buddy. By the way, that's my body you're holding hands with there."
Meanwhile, Sluggy has stopped his slow crawl up along the wall to listen in on the conversation taking place with growing intrigue, biting his time in wait for the opportunity to set his plan into motion.
Ariel watches with odd speculation as the noise starts upstairs, before Betty gets up off the floor, changes form into some guy he vaguely recognizes from somewhere, and then runs out the door.
Ariel then shifts his studious glare to Renard, who seems to be aware of the changes taking place as well.
"What, are you serious?" Ariel replies heuristically; "You think I'm the one that needs to come to his senses?"
Ariel then sighs with relief as well, now fully aware of the obvious notion that some sort of illusion had just taken place. Lifting one arm, he uses his sleeve to wipe away the fevered sweat from his forehead then, lowering the tip of the sowrd to the floor, he places both hands on the pommel and shifts his weight like an old man resting on his cane. "Mate... you wouldn't believable the night I've had. I'm not feeling too good right now."
He glances around the kitchen, swallowing a few times to choke back vomit in the sudden onset of nausea, then looks back at his friend, a note of concern in his eyes.
"I'm pretty sure I screwed up, Ren....."
With a quick change of thought, he furrows his brow peculiarly at the little man. "By the way, you seem... different somehow. Something happen to your face and uh... overall physical size? Maybe going through a gender transformation or something?" He inspects Renard's chest for any signs of newly formed protrusions.
Fin looked at the two fighters, before immediately running out of the room through a nearby doorway. These two don't look so reasonable... I better find someone else. I've gotta find that girl FAST. Allie doesn't remember why she has this weird obsession on trying to keep her shoes safe, but apparently she's fine with getting her nice white dress dirty. Allie looks back and sees someone there...
"Ah, yeah, I think I need help..." she mumbles quietly.
The person reaches out and grabs Allie's hand, pulling her up out of the mud. The person who helps her up is a girl, probably in her early twenties, with short brown hair and a green dress. Floating beside her is a small, neatly-made wooden doll carrying a basket covered with a cloth.
"I thought everyone here left, why are you here?" The girl asks Allie, as she takes a handkerchief out of her pocket and uses it to wipe Allie's mouth clean of mud.

As she takes Ki to the floor, Annie’s form changes to that of a shadow, while Ki, being choked by this ghostly form, looks to Maras for help.
Ei doesn't seem very convinced by 'Annie's' dissapointing look, and opens her mouth to say something, but is interrupted by the noise coming from upstairs. When Ki arrives, Ei sighs.
"Maras, help Ki. I got business to attend to up in the attic." Ei says, fading away, while Maras doesn't waste time, running his spear through the shadowy creature and pulling it off of Ki in an attempt to stop it from choking Ki. As he does so, a person standing in the doorway decides that now is as good a time as any to try and be useful and throws a dagger at 'Annie'
As the blast of light hits Annie’s chamber, a large shadow appears on the wall on the opposite end of the attic, which proceeds to pull all colour in the room into it, along with any magic the figures might launch. It doesn't take too long before the shadow takes up a more recognisable shape, and Ei emerges from it.
"Sorry, but the show's over. I'm gonna have to ask you people to either leave Annie alone or perish, I've run out of patience so I'm giving you five seconds to make up your minds."
While the five seconds slowly tick away, Ei's shadow begins to expand, soon it covers most of the floor like a large oil spill, and Ei, assuming the figures haven't fled, sighs.
"Well, I was nice enough to grant you one final opportunity to flee, but you seem to not want to live." She says, as she reaches forward.
Out of the shadowy mass on the floor in front of her emerges a sword, with a large blade that seems to occasionally ripple like the surface of water. Ei firmly grips the large sword with her outstretched hand, and clenches her fist with the other, in response to which the door to the attic fades away, leaving no exit.
"So then," Ei says, as she moves forward, closer to the figures. "Do you have any last things to say before you perish?"

Renard averts his eyes at Ariel's questioning. Even he didn't know. Was it magic? Or something else? Everything Faux had said to him didn't add up. He couldn't even trust himself.
"It's... nothing. Don't worry about it.."
Due to his small stature, Renard had to raise his head just to maintain eye contact. He sighs and shakes his head. His sword floats aimlessly around the kitchen without purpose, most likely in reaction to his wandering thoughts.
"An illusion... right? Did you think I'd killed that girl? Out of jealousy? Hey... I make it a point not to go out with women who throw poisonous spiders at me," points out Renard. "Right, so fill me in now. I've been sleeping for a while."

Despite his ill feeling, Ariel is a little amused by Renard's sword floating about the room, smirking and following it with eyes while Renard is talking, but he doesn't seem surprised in any way. He'd seen a lot of weird stuff in his time as an angel, and also since being in Waise, so an aimlessly floating sword was nothing too crazy.
"My thoughts exactly." Ariel responds to the question of illusion, then swallows back a bit more vomit before saying any more. "From my point of view you were carrying Betty, dead, and claimed that you'd killed her out of jealousy, so.... Anyway, I guess time might explain what that illusion was all about." He wiped more sweat from his forehead, shifting more weight on his sword tiresomely, explaining; "...As it happens, I met up with Betty a few hours back and she came on pretty strong, you know how it is, wouldn't take no for an answer and all that." Ariel clears his throat. "So yeah, I just kinda caved and, uh... yeah... one thing led to another. Anyway, bedding a woman out of wedlock isn't the healthiest path to take for an angel so... Kinda going through some changes right now. Not exactly sure of the outcome to be honest, since I'm actually the first angel stupid enough to find himself in this situation."
Ariel shrugs, since there really isn't anything anyone could do for him at this point, he'd just have to wait and see how his physical changes transpired.
"When was the last time you ate, Ren? You should try some of this food." He looks around at the delicious assortment of foodstuffs all over the kitchen; "It's actually really good. Stuffed myself before this illness kicked in." He gives Renard a look up and down, winks. "Hey, growing boys need their food, right?"
"Better yet..." Buttons tells Silas; "the message should read: 'Trixie was here, but then tried and interrogate a dark figure. RIP.'"
"I'm inclined to agree with Buttons on that. As things currently stand, I don't think we have much of a chance of facing them, let alone getting enough leverage on them to try to interrogate them. I don't know what kind of power they've got on their hands, but if it's anything like Annie's then an entire group of them is, frankly, far beyond what I think our little band of misfits here is capable of." Jack shakes his head, continuing, "But I have the feeling we will have to eventually. We just need to know more about them... find a weakness, or some method of disposing of them without direct confrontation. With what we've gotten ourselves into, we can't just rush headlong into battle; we've got to be smart about this."
He looks at Jack; "How about we do something that sounds far more realistic, and try finding someone who can stick my soul back in my body? I'd appreciate the help."
Knowing all the bad luck he's had over the last few years, Buttons didn't really expect anything hopeful to take place with this oddly spoken farmer, so, once Ezmond introduces himself, Buttons just released a pessimistic groan and told the farmer straight;
"Yeah, pleased to meet ya, buddy. By the way, that's my body you're holding hands with there."
Jack turns to Ezmond as he approaches, offering his free hand in a handshake after he introduces himself. "Greetings, Ezmond. Name's Jack. Don't believe I've seen you here in town yet." He moves his hand to introduce the others. "The talking cat here is Buttons... or Bob, rather. Well, I suppose in a way I could say you two have already met. This young lady here goes by the name Trixie- though you'd probably figure that out quickly enough once she starts talking- and this old man with the hole in his foot- and boot- is Silas."

"Hmph!" exclaims Renard in response to Ariel's monologue, crossing his arms childishly. "Figures! Icky, icky girls! Not even once! Just like ravens-- never make eye contact with 'em unless you wanna be torn apart, both physically and mentally! Us guys gotta stick together!"
Renard pauses a little after his rant, shuffling awkwardly as he thinks to himself. Had he really meant to say that? It was strange; his mood had changed so quickly, and one thing lead to another...
"It's weird," he says, listening to Ariel's food inquiry. "I'm sure I haven't eaten in days, but I feel full for some reason... Hey! I'm 23, I've grown enough!"

Apparently this is what some of my friends think of me here:
The person reaches out and grabs Allie's hand, pulling her up out of the mud. The person who helps her up is a girl, probably in her early twenties, with short brown hair and a green dress. Floating beside her is a small, neatly-made wooden doll carrying a basket covered with a cloth.
"I thought everyone here left, why are you here?" The girl asks Allie, as she takes a handkerchief out of her pocket and uses it to wipe Allie's mouth clean of mud.
"Strangé p̸eoṕle̶ ͠live͟ ҉h̡e̡r͞e."
Allie quickly notices that probably the people who live here are not what she sees normally. "Well, I was wondering where everyone was. I just came in here..." she says, quietly.
Buttons gives Silas an awkward stare, lip slightly curled.

Meanwhile, Sluggy has stopped his slow crawl up along the wall to listen in on the conversation taking place with growing intrigue, biting his time in wait for the opportunity to set his plan into motion.
Silas sighs, rolls his eyes, and proceeds to utterly ignore Buttons/Bob, muttering something along the lines of "sassy feline..." He then turns his attention at the newcomers, as they walked in.
"I'm inclined to agree with Buttons on that. As things currently stand, I don't think we have much of a chance of facing them, let alone getting enough leverage on them to try to interrogate them. He pouts at Jack's remark. "I'm not old, I just haven't got a haircut in years!" he grumbles. "Plus, the foot's already healed!" He gestures to his injured foot, and lo and behold, it's not flowing with blood. However, it was impossible to tell whether it had actually healed or not. After a moment, he continued his remarks. "Anyway, Ezmond, was it? Curious name. As Jack over here has said, I'm..." He pauses, looking as if he had not even memorized a vocabulary term in front of a class. "...Silas. Yes, that's right, Silas."

Betty sure is torn apart by Chissy's sad story. She sure ain't non too happy about someone taking control of her lil baby dragon, no sire, not one little bit at all! While Chissy is making an account of the events, Betty's lip if trembling with hurt, maybe a lil tear well up there in her eye as well and all that. After she finishes talking, Betty moves real slow so Chissy doesn't cower away and uses both hands to gently pat her cheeks and give her chin a good soothing scratch.
"Now just you hold on there, little one," Betty tells her in a real soft tone; "don't go pay'n too much attention to dreams, they don't usually mean all the stuff they seem to go on about. One thing I know for certain is that most dreams have alternative meanings, that's if they have any meaning at all to begin with. But it kinda looks like thinking about that is a problem for you, so maybe when you feel like it, you can share with ol Betty more details about that dream."
Betty leans in real slow and gives Chissy an affectionate kiss on her blood stained snout and says; "There ain't no one in this town gonna be ganging up on my Chissy for things outa her control. I'm gonna be making gosh darn certain of that, so let me tell ya that much right now. And just so as you know, my little cutie, I'm assuming it's them same guys controlling your mind like yesterday, right? Well I think you and me have some searching to do. Number one; We gotta go find that boy and set the truth straight before he goes around hollering all kinda bad stuff about you to the others. And don't you go get'n all afraid either, because if anyone tries attacking you, they're gonna have to get through me first."
Betty gets up, puts her hands smartly on her hips and gives Chissy a big ol confident smile. "You're gonna have to clean all that blood off your darling lil face first!
Vengeance may be best served cold, but I ain't no patient farm girl, and God only knows how long it will be before they try something like that on you again. So after setting that boy straight about the truth behind why you did all that stuff, how about you and me go hunting down them guys who did all that bad stuff to your brain, and give em a piece of ol Betty's cranky mind?"

Silas sighs, rolls his eyes, and proceeds to utterly ignore Buttons/Bob, muttering something along the lines of "sassy feline..." He then turns his attention at the newcomers, as they walked in.
He pouts at Jack's remark. "I'm not old, I just haven't got a haircut in years!" he grumbles. "Plus, the foot's already healed!" Yes, that's right, Silas."
Ezmond Shakes Jack's hand and is all kinda pleased to meet the others too, except that freaky purple girl who didn't even acknowledge him. Maybe she's stuck up royalty or something like that. But at least Jack had the courtesy of introducing her anyway, for the fat lotta good it did! Ezmond on the other hand thinks Jack is quite the fine gentleman adventurer and well mannered, which goes a long way in Ezmond's book, because he's old school folk, and all that modern day punk disrespectful stuff really gets to him. He'd turned more than one teen into a turnip back in his own time and world. Silas seems like a friggen crazy old man in serious need of a haircut, but Ezmond Kinda likes him anyway. He also kinda smells a lot! Buttons is a different kettle of fish altogether. He sure is a cute kitten, but has a kinda snide mouth on him, but at the same time kinda funny, at least that's what Ezmond supposes.
After the quaint introduction, Ezmond puts his hat back on his head and asks Jack to take hold of Bob's hand so he doesn't go wandering off while he checks on his soul holding up in Buttons. Assuming that Jack don't mind doing that at all, Ezmond then bends on down and looks into the kittens eyes for what seems like an uncomfortably long time, after which he draws his conclusion, standing back up all smart like and shifting his hat a few times.
"Well now there, lil kitten man! No need to worry about a thing now, Ezmond is the best gosh darn Wizard to ever exist on the planet Earth, which is a place you probably haven't heard of! But in any huckering place, I'm ain't gonna have any problem getting that soul there back in your human body, no sir! So how about we get started?"
He looks at Jack and asks if it's ok if he keeps holding Bob's hand through the procedure. He also asks the other two, Trixie and Silas, to step back while the procedure takes place. Last thing Ezmond wants is something unexpected to go wrong - you can never be too careful with soul transference magic!
It was a good thing that Betty moved so slowly when she approached Chisille, otherwise she would've moved back away from her, even after sleeping right on top of her. When Betty patted her cheeks, she could feel the small armoured studs that dotted her face, far harder then her smooth scaly skin. Chisille wasn't entirely keep on having her cheeks patted, but the chin scratch was appreciated. However she backed off a little bit when she went in for a kiss on her little snout, though she did not move back far enough and ended up getting kissed anyway.
Unfortunately, even though Betty was trying to be all gentle and kind to her, the large amount of talking was causing another headache. Chisille resisted doing anything about it, as that would seem to Betty that she didn't want to be comforted at all. Truth be told, she definitely needed what Betty was telling her. She was glad that Betty was so incredibly willing to defend her, and even hear out her problems when it came to her nightmares. No one, not even the first proper member of her species has done that.
Then came the part where Betty suggested that they go and deliberately hunt down those that were responsible for forcing her do kill Fin. "I'm.. not sure if it was them. I was just lying down, and then I was angry. Didn't see any of those black figures come to me. Was probably them though... Not sure where they are, but must be close by to do this." she says, nodding at the first thing she suggests they do, confront Faux. 'No more running off for now, without Betty I have no hope of telling them that it was not me... and no help should they come and attack me. I hope that we don't have to move about through this place randomly because of those crazy doors.'
Now that that was out of the way, Chisille felt a lot less afraid of what might happen. Now that Betty had got up again, it was time to get going. The faster they could tell the others it was not her fault in the first place, the less chance that she would be attacked later, she hoped. Casually licking some of the dried blood from her mouth, she moved on over to the door she had entered the room by, twisting the handle and opening it up. To her surprise, it actually led to where it was supposed to. There were scents of other humans further away, so that's where they needed to go. However whatever fighting was out there was also in the way.

As he asks about continuing to hold him during the procedure, Jack replies, "Sure, I can hold him while you transfer the soul. Do you need me to keep him still or anything, or just prevent him from wandering off?"

"Maybe, but I don't exactly have anything to write one with on hand, and I doubt the slug, the cat, or the recently-transformed former pony would, so unless you have something..."
((I'm assuming this doorway she created doesn't go out into the hallway (if it did I would assume she would've just used the normal door), but if it does I can add on Jack's reaction to her entering in my next post. Same goes for Fin, not sure if he's going out into the hallway or not.))
She nodded in agreement with Jack. “Trixie believes we should interrogate those figures. She will find out what is going on here!” she declared.

Allie doesn't remember why she has this weird obsession on trying to keep her shoes safe, but apparently she's fine with getting her nice white dress dirty. Allie looks back and sees someone there...
"Ah, yeah, I think I need help..." she mumbles quietly.
Take a break.
"Relax, I’ve got this," he tells her, turning his focus to the monstrosity, saying;
…it would seem that the illusion taking place has now been interrupted by the event taking place upstairs.
.............................................................................

Meet Ashen the shoulder dragon!
Knowing all the bad luck he's had over the last few years, Buttons didn't really expect anything hopeful to take place with this oddly spoken farmer, so, once Ezmond introduces himself, Buttons just released a pessimistic groan and told the farmer straight;
Fin rushes out of the room, and trips on the doorstep, landing in the dining room with a loud crash.
She sulked. "Trixie believes she can beat those figures..." she muttered.

Allie quickly notices that probably the people who live here are not what she sees normally. "Well, I was wondering where everyone was. I just came in here..." she says, quietly.
Take a break.

As Ezmond asks Jack to hold onto Bob so he doesn't wander off, Jack nods, taking hold of one of Bob's hands. As he asks about continuing to hold him during the procedure, Jack replies, "Sure, I can hold him while you transfer the soul. Do you need me to keep him still or anything, or just prevent him from wandering off?"
