Hi everyone, ShotgunPenguin here and I'm here to see if anyone would be interested in joining a rp that i thought up.
The basic plot is this, humanity has destroyed the earth and must search for a new place to call home. They cryogenically freeze themselves and travel through a wormhole where a starnge object attaches itself to their ship. They find a new planet and find out that the object changed their Genomes so now children may be born with special powers. However something is causing these children to go insane at the age of 18 so the government rounds up all of the children and puts them in a special prison where they live until they are executed at 17. You will take the part of a prisoner (Aged 9-16) and attempt to escape the prison and fight back against the government who imprisoned you.
That's just the basic gist of it, I'll probably write something more substantial if this gets enough interest. So just leave a post down below if you're interested in joining.

1 Year ago the military was on the losing side of the war. All seemed bleak until one soldier brought a penguin in to training. They had trained that penguin in the use of explosives and sent him out into the field. They had thought that they had won but the agent went rouge. Now he only lives on as a legend, the legend of ShotgunPenguin.
It has an interesting concept, but I'm questioning the logic behind this Universe. If the government of this new planet is aware of children with powers, wouldn't it be more wise to kill them on sight rather than wait for them to "Turn" and suffer for years?
I do like the idea that the children of this new planet are all 'infected', in a way that they are a valuable necessity for the continued survival of humanity, but there is something wrong with them. I like that aspect of this RP, I think you should give it a little more thought and consider it with a bigger concept in mind, so that there is actual material to work with when Roleplaying, such as the children coming to terms with their powers, understanding their significance to continue humanity's existence, and work together to find a solution before they would 'Turn', it can create some amazing conflict.
This would be bad if we use logic humanity cant spread if the new generation is killed.
First of all, that statement doesn't make any sense. Secondly, logic is an important aspect that explains the concept of an RP. What if you need limits to something so that something isn't dangerously overpowered, or that someone could exploit while roleplaying? What if there's obvious plotholes along the way due to that one thing? Why wouldn't other possibilities or solutions be taken accounted for and the least efficient one is used instead?
I believe there is just a lot of possibility for this roleplay, it already has a very interesting concept that can be developed, and it can make for a story where people are bound to stay in and find out what happens next. After all, this is an interest check.

Thanks for the feedback, now that I think about it that is a huge flaw and plot hole. I'm thinking of rewriting it so that the events of the rp take place before/after the first new child turned. That way people would be able to have freedom to work with their powers while still feeling the weight of the government trying to control them.

Presumably there would be ethical concerns over killing children that are otherwise normal, sentient humans and never made a conscious choice to gain powers at the cost of eventual insanity. The prison would be a way for those children to live some sort of life until they are about to turn. Then again, from what OP described of the prison (which isn't much), it seems like the conditions there are pretty bad and would raise concerns anyway.
More cynically, the government might want to take advantage of certain powers for whatever purpose until the child goes insane.
I don't know if OP is looking for two morally-gray parties or wants the children to clearly be heroes/villains, but either way the scenario could use a bit of fine tuning. Child genocide could go either way depending on how OP rewrites the scenario but it obviously lends itself more easily to making the government into a villain.
I'm personally not interested in RPing this (I'm brainstorming for an RP myself) but I would probably read it.
