You wake up. You realize this isn't where you last slept. What were you doing last night? Maybe you were having dinner with your family. Maybe you were Netflix and chilling with your best friend. Maybe you just had the best time of your life in a concert. Maybe you were up all night on a computer. Or maybe you did none of this. It doesn't matter. What does, is that you've been thrown from your life and dumped into this new, unfamiliar place. How did you get here, lying on an unfamiliar, sandy beach? Why are you here? Who are these people lying next to you? And most importantly, what the heck is that hologram in front of you?

What is this all about? Basically, you've been flung across realities and time zones to a deserted island with a bunch of other people that you probably don't know (unless your character saw them in a TV show or something, which is actually OK in this RP). Your job: survive, make a new civilization, and maybe in the far-off future escape take revenge against the being that trapped you here. But this island has many things hidden under the surface...

Yes, I took elements from several sources.

RULES (and notes):
1. No god-modding, meta-gaming, powerplaying, or any OPishness. No Mary Sues (or Gary Stus), or insta-killing or auto-dodging. Some abilities and items are not allowed, I will determine if it's too OP. Be plausible in your RPing.
2. Romance allowed, but let's not go overboard unless in PM, if you know what I mean.
3. There's no 'natural' way of entering. If you enter, you simply appear in a spot you determine, but it must be on the beach, and with the stuff you bring with you. Nothing else (and you can't just up and suddenly take things from your home if you forget)
4. I (Nucleep) am the one and only Grandmodster ( ) of this game. However if you break forum rules it's out of my control.
5. You can leave the island, but you'll find just empty ocean beyond.
6. Multiple characters are allowed, but you'll have to deal with that yourself. If you have too many characters it's your problem, unless a majority of players (or I) get sick of it.
7. Keep complaining to a minimum, and put any arguments in the OOC thread. And don't go mad and whine, there's no use in getting worked up over most things.
8. If you read all the rules you better put what I am (hint: italics) somewhere in the application.
9. Swearing is allowed, but be realistic. (Censoring is preferred)
10. You can pull your character from anywhere. Any time period, world, universe, anywhere and anywhen. You can also join whenever you want.
11. No spamming or trolling. And please use correct punctuation, spelling and grammar, unless it was a typo (and you better fix it ASAP).
12. Remember, this is a game. Not reality. (If you suddenly wake up tomorrow on an island with a bunch of strangers, I apologize in advance.)

Biography: Wulan was born on a small coastal village, built out on a sand bank with the sea below the floor boards. She was raised with a strong work ethic and learnt as a child that hard work does not guarantee success. She was taught the craft of her father, as she had no siblings, she had to carry on her father's legacy and name, to take a bounty from the sea. The work was both demanding and exhausting but she became good at it. She also learnt to take risks. As she became older and had her own small boat, she learnt how to maintain and repair her vessel (Lepa Lepa) to a reliable standard and she became better at understanding the sea, how its behavior could either lead to a good bounty and a devastating storm. She has been taught English at school, albeit no where near a fluent standard.

On her last day, she remembered falling asleep in her bed. She wasn't at sea, there wasn't at storm, she doesn't know how she got here but to her it looks like she hasn't traveled far.
