The island of Asmodens is home to many species, and is ruled by the Kingdom of Asmod, the Dominion of Nakirama and the Sultanate of Hekau. Long has the Island thrived, long has it enjoyed peace. But now, disaster has struck; The Island is slowly sinking. It didn't take long for the Nations to blame each other, and though war has not broken out, the era of peace is over. Many have tried to find a way to prevent the island from sinking, all have failed so far, and many citizens have drowned. The sinking has caused the once great island to break into an archipelago, and if nothing stops it from sinking further, everyone will drown.

Ever since you noticed that there were less and less jobs on the bulletin board, you decided to travel the land in search for jobs. Your travels have taken you to some village called 'Rzhur' in the Epose Frostlands. Though you have not found any job here, there is a tavern that might be worth checking out, if only to check in so you won't freeze...

Henry Arvell (Mackerellatorn):
Your escape from your village has brought you to the town of Rzhur, near the mountains of the Epose Frostlands. It's getting darker, and you have nowhere to spend the night. It'd be smart to find a place to stay quickly, or you will likely perish in the cold night...

In an attempt to find evidence to support your theory, you have travelled to the Epose Frostlands, the biggest collection of Ice in Asmodens. Though you are well-prepared, stopping by the Tavern in the nearby town of Rzhur might be worth the time...

You have returned to the tavern in Rzhur where you first heard the rumours of the island sinking. After all, a tavern is a good source of information, and knowing more about this threat will surely proof itself useful. Now if only you'd actually find some useful information...
The Village of Rzuhr is a small village, with a mix of Eastern & Western European architecture. In the centre of the village is a small church. The village has a large tavern for a village of it's size, due to the village being a popular stop for Travelling Merchants. The peaks of the Mountains can be seen from the village square on a clear day, though the village is distant enough to not suffer from avalanches. The peace is kept by 19 guards stationed at important locations in the village.

"Ridiculous," mutters Henry under his breath, commenting about the cold. He wasn't sure what to think of himself after he had escaped, so he had been distracting himself with thoughts of clearing his name, and the harsh, cold conditions he had been trudging through for the past 4 hours to get to the town of Rzhur. He had concealed his prototype crossbow and went to the tavern; maybe word hadn't spread yet.
Henry had realized the sheer scale of attempting to clear his name through preventing the island from sinking. Even if he found the cause, how would he, a single person, take care of it? What if someone recognized him from the village?
He sighs.
"Maybe the opportunity will present itself to me."
Trey stood at the front of the tavern, the light and warmth inside almost drawing him in. It had taken him a while to reach the largest sheet of ice that the island has to offer, but now that he was here, the idea of camping outside in the cold when there was a roof over his head just seemed foolish. Even if that wasn't the case it was still an idea to search around for any information, and taverns always seem to be the place of choice.
Before entering the building Trey quickly checked his dagger at his side to make sure it wasn't stuck or missing. Danger could be lurking anywhere and it was good to be prepared. Sitting down at one of the many tavern tables he made his routine checks. Some drunk guys, a bartender, various other people. None seemed particularly threatening at the moment however so he instead took notice of the message board of the place. Some notes were more obvious then the others. "End is Nigh" "We're Doomed" "Death is upon us" among other doomsday notes seemed to take up most of the space on the board. Trey wondered why the bartender even let such notes stay on the board, they clearly weren't helping the situation.
"Alright then, let's see if I can find anything useful here."

The Tavern in Rzuhr is a big one compared to village's size, since it's situated near an important Trade Route.
The tavern is a two-storey stone-walled building, with finely-crafted tables and chairs. It is dimly lit by lanterns hanging from the ceiling. Accommodations consist of several small rooms with beds and woollen mattresses.
Menu:
- Baked Rabbit and Frostberry Tart, Glass of Vodka(2 silver)
- Roasted Partridge and Radish, Tankard of Beer (10 copper)
- Roasted Sausage and Buckwheat Bread, Tankard of Ale (9 copper)
The Tavern-goers are of poorer nature than the rest of the village's inhabitants, since nobody who has a warm home would want to go out in this weather. Two drunkards are arguing, and a travelling merchant is trying to sell things to a drunk guy at the bar.
Sin and Celcus was walking in the freezing rain, searching for a place to rest their cold and fatigued body. Even though Sin gave Celcus a cloak way before they even reached the damned foothills of the mountains, she is still visibly shivering. Sin saw a light in the distance, and headed towards it. They reached a tavern, and short after, to not look suspicious, he sheathed his sword. He looked back at Celcus, who is trying to warm herself up. Shortly after, they entered the tavern.
After seconds of entering the tavern, the calming warmth is already seeping into their bodies. Celcus took a seat at the nearest empty table, while Sin walked to the bulletin board. He hoped to find a wanted poster, but was disappointed when there is only notes talking about doomsday nonsense. Not when I'm around... He noticed another guy standing near the board. "Looking for information, aren't you? Well you won't find any. No tavern anywhere got any, it's just random nonsense here and there." He said, a few moment later before walking back to Celcus. "Got anything in mind?" asked Sin, with Celcus replying that a nice, hot beverage would be nice. Sin stood up, and walked to the bartender. "2 cup of anything good and warm, please."
As Trey examined each of the notes on the board, his hope of finding anything at all getting lower and lower, someone behind him spoke up. He must've come in recently, since Trey didn't recognize his outfit from before. "Looking for information, aren't you? Well you won't find any. No tavern anywhere got any, it's just random nonsense here and there." And he was pretty much right on the mark. None of the notes had anything useful concerning the reason why or ideas to solve the island's water problem.
Since now he knew that the board was useless here, Trey went up to the counter the bartender was at and ordered some sausages and bread. Radishes were disgusting and frostberry tarts leave a nasty aftertaste in his mouth. He sat down on a chair at the table the furthest away from the fireplace while he waited for his sausage to cook, and noticed the person from before, an elf, was talking to another woman who wasn't there before either. Trey leaned forward and rested his chin on his hand while thinking about what he said.

Henry enters the tavern, immediately filled by the warmth of the fireplace. He takes a quick glance at the people noticing him entering, checking just in case someone recognized Henry, a wanted man. The place is pretty large, but it doesn't seem to be populated at this moment in time. A few people drinking, some poor guy attempting to get a meal out of the bartender... another day, another dollar. Reminds him of his village. He decides that's not a good thing to be reminded of and quickly starts scanning the tavern for anything useful, as he did not have money to order anything.
The noticeboard. There might be something interesting there. He sidles up to the noticeboard, passing by a few people. The board was filled with morbid notes, and nothing else of interest. He examines one note's handwriting. "Typical peasants," Henry mutters, letting out a sigh, tearing off a few notes in order to see some of the notes underneath them. Just more of the same, and he wonders why he even tried. He leaves the crumpled pieces of paper on the floor and goes to a table to at least get shelter from the cold.
"Aye, one tankard 'o Mead, coming up." Said the bartender, before grabbing a Tankard off of the shelf behind him and filling it with Mead from a barrel behind the bar. "That'll be 2 Copper." he said, before turning to Sin. "Good and warm, eh? Well, eggnog fits the bill, right? Or do you want somethin' else? I got hot cocoa, tea, a little bit of coffee, and, of course, alcohol."
The door of the tavern opened, and man enters the tavern. A scarf covers his neck and mouth, and a thick woollen cap keeps his head warm. He's wearing a thick fur coat that covers most of his lower body. His eyes glow a faint red. He looks around the tavern, before walking to the notice board and hanging a piece of paper on it, before taking a seat on a couch the corner of the tavern. The note reads:
"I'm in desperate need of people that can help me do something important. Ask me for more information."

Interesting, Henry thought, having walked to the noticeboard after the man. He's most likely offering a reward, and I'm in need of money. He looks over his shoulder at the man; he seems to be wearing a fur coat. Henry, feeling a little envious as he was not even remotely dressed for the cold, approaches the man.
Another man, this time heavily dressed for such weather enters the tavern. He immediately walks to the notice board and puts up a new note. Trey was almost certain that it wouldn't be another doomsday notice. The man didn't look or act like the kind of person who would run around panicking and screaming.
Someone else gets up and examines the newly placed note. They must've been looking for something like this because after reading the note they look at the newcomer and start to approach them straight away. Trey gets up and moves to a closer table so he has a better chance of hearing what they are going to talk about.
"Well, the job I have is simple, but it may sound strange."
"I'm being hunted. I know to much and must flee, but in my house there are... things that may not fall into the wrong hands. If I go to my home to get those items, they'll know where those items are and take them when they kill me. Therefore, I need someone, or multiple someones to basically break into my house and steal those items. I don't have any money, but you're welcome to take whatever you want from my home. You up for it?"
"Call me Brael. Also, I'd recommend taking some people with you to help you. They might already be there when you get there, and they won't hesitate to attack."
The man, Brael, writes directions on a sheet of paper, and hands it to Henry before walking off and out of the Tavern.
Trey was interested in what they were saying, but then one of the people, who had said his name was Arvell shouted out to him about him eavesdropping and joining in. Trey didn't really consider the fact that it was eavesdropping, but once the other man explained what the job was, and Arvell inviting him in Trey decided that he would help them.
"Sure, I'm in." agreed Trey, and the other man said their name was Brael and handed Arvell a piece of paper with directions before walking away.

"Good evening. My name's Arvell," said Henry, introducing himself. "Just Arvell. Should we depart immediately, or should we wait for any other adventurers?"
"Hello Arvell. My name is Trey." I extend a hand for Arvell to shake. "Well it wouldn't be the best idea to leave in the dead of night, and in this temperature too I might add. We better wait a bit until it's easier to travel."
