It's been one year to the day since I launched the first RP that I've ever run. My mind, the inscrutable machination that it is, has decided (for whatever reason) that this means I might as well give one of the old RPs another shot and see if I can improve either of them in any way. I'm not sure which one to restart, though, so I figured I'd check with the focus group to see which attracts more interest. Suggestions to improve either or both RPs is more than welcome.
TL;DR: giant space war leaves mechs of two warring factions on a planet and they battle.
This is the RP I started a year ago. On a technical writing level, I could definitely stand to improve the OP - rereading it now, I see my less than stellar word choice (I used a lot of conjugations of the word "be" rather than adding more sentence variety). As far as the world (that is, the premise, lore, and setting) goes, I'm pleased with it, but I'm open to suggestions and feedback. It's also definitely designed to be more action driven than Intransigence, as the premise relies mostly on crazy mech battles. It's not as though soldiers can't be unique and intriguing characters - far from it - but the plot is definitely more focused on the potential for action than the relationships between the soldiers themselves.
TL;DR: in a fantasy world, people are suddenly undead and are being hunted.
I started this one around half a year ago. The OP is definitely superior to that of Mechanical Manpower on a technical literary level, so I'm less likely to change it. I also think the world is better fleshed out than that of MM, but agai I'm open to any constructive criticism. Furthermore, the design of this RP provides the roleplayer with a lot more flexibility to make an interesting, unique character given the multitude of races and the ability to have characters with decades of experience under their belt still be viable. Definitely a more character driven experience than my sci-fi adventure, but undoubtedly set up to be more slowly paced.
I tried to keep this short to make it easy to read. Let me know what you think with a vote in the poll and post if you want to make a suggestion/provide feedback (or you just want to make sure I know you're interested).
