Legends speak of an ancient war created by the legendaries of the chaotic forces. Their ringleader unleashed them upon the world, creating catastrophe beyond comprehension. Oceans swallowing the lands. The earth erupting and obliterating the planet. The skies torn apart by the shattering winds. The creatures of the planet fighting each other alongside the powerful beasts. There was virtually no hope for the lands. But as all legends state, there is some form of a hero. And this hero was multiple heroes. A band of warriors known as The Warriors of Light. They stood together against the grand evils and reached within themselves to find a power stronger than the ringleader and his beasts of destruction. The Warriors of Light fought against the Grand Evils and won. The ringleader fled to never be seen again, releasing his control of the Evils. The Evils returned to their more peaceful states and retreated back to their homes in the primordial forces of the world. The Warriors passed their knowledge down to their children and others to preserve the lessons learned and the legends spoke here today. They created The Guild of Heroes and their knowledge and the justice that they stood for has been passed down for generations and generations. And that is where we stand today. A Guild of Heroes against the forces of darkness.
Several young Pokemon recruits to the guild sat in a circle. A small Pancham raised his hand. "Excuse me, sir. But do you think that the evil Mr Ringleader guy will come back to hurt us..."
An old Abomasnow sat in a rocking chair and looked at the young Pancham. Well, my young apprentice, there may be evil in the world. And the ringleader may still be alive and capable of fighting. But as all legends say, there is a hero or there are heroes who will be ready to fight back and win. And on that day, the lands will return to peace as they have been once again...

Personality: Fon is a highly optimistic person, who stay positive regardless of the situation he faced. He idolize the Great heroes that is known as the warrior of light and aim to be just like them. He possess a great sense of justice within him and trend to act according to it, this sometimes could result in him endangering himself.
Personality: Knox is optimistic and energetic. He can get very cocky at times, but he knows how far his strength will take him. He is sometimes immature, like all kids, and has goals that adult pokemon might find ridiculous for his age, like being the 'greatest pokemon adventurer'.
Skills:
-Transformation: Ability to transform into any pokemon, however he cannot manipulate that pokemon's moveset, but he can possess some of their flight and swimming abilities for a short amount of time.
-Tracking: His acute sense of smell allows him to find items, foods, pokemon, and other things.
Pokemon Moves:
-Scratch
-Foul Play
Bio: Knox mostly took care of himself when he was younger. He adored the stories about the Warriors of Light, and became determined to be like them one day, fighting evil and saving the world. He occasionally traversed dungeons, until one day he fainted and got lost inside the dungeon before a famous pokemon adventurer part of the Guild saved him. After his rescue, he sought out to one day be apart of the Guild of Heroes. As of now, he practices to get stronger, and his current goal so far is to one day learn his species' signature move: Night Daze. Other than that, more will be RP'd.
Before I apply, at which power level are we expected to be at? A ragtag team of newbie adventurers near the first evolutionary stage? Competent adventurers near the second stage? Or experienced adventurers at the final evolutionary stage?
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
If I do not reply to my posts, I either have no internet connection, or am busy with college work. Alternatively, I may be writing up the post now. It all depends on the situation.
Oooh, here right as a RP starts! I loved the Mystery Dungeon games, and this would be fun to play in. Same question as the others, I guess, how are we starting out? New, unevolved, slightly (or maybe more than slightly) oblivious? Or do we start as a bit more experienced?
Also, I'm assuming you have a plan, a direction you imagine to take us, and a result you want to get to? Just making sure, cause it makes it a lot better experience for me when the GM has a plan
Name: The name he gives out is Grey. Doesn't mind nicknames though.
Age: Um well, I would say 17 but I have no clue how that would translate over to pokemon years.
Gender: Male
Pokemon Species: Grovyle
Appearance: bright red belly, big serious eyes, and sharp claws and leaves.
Personality: Quiet, efficient, but appreciates a good joke.
Skills: Speed and precision, especially with his hands/paws/claws. Likes to weave branches and leaves and vines into interesting shapes and forms. Of course, he can climb walls and jump around from place to place.
Pokemon Moves: Mega Drain, Grass Knot. (If I can't learn Grass knot because it is supposed to only be learnable with a TM, then he will use Quick Attack instead. Grass Knot just makes sense because he is good at weaving plants and such.)
Bio: Not much to be told about his past, other than he will do anything to protect the forests and the trees, from any threat.
Other: My favorite pokemon issss (dun dun duuun) Grovyle!

Your powers are all close to the same. No matter the evolution or age. So a Pikachu could fight a Golem and possibly win. Or a Ralts could fight a Garchomp.

Denied. Read rules. As for your questions, any evolution, any amount of experience, any age, doesn't matter. I prefer you aren't a widely known hero who saves the world or something. You are all adventurers who may be wide known in his town and the couple next over, or may be just a new kid who wants to live up to be his dream hero.
Oh whoops. Grovyle is my favorite pokemon, so I totally forgot. I'll edit that in
Edited a couple more things as well, cause you answered the evolution question and stuff. No need to evolve eventually if I can start as Grovyle and not be too powerful.

Might join later if this goes somewhere interesting, but quick question:
Why exactly aren't shinies allowed? They aren't physically better than normal pokemon in any way, except (excuse me if I'm wrong) a slight EVE difference.
If you aren't allowing shinies, then what's the point of an appearance section?

In case anyone were to not know of the pokemon, or a minor accessory addition. That's my guess at least.
And if the option to be a shiny existed, lots of people could choose to be one. Not to mention on the fact that if half the Roleplayers were shinies, it would go against the fact that shinies are extremely rare.

Appearance is if you have a hat or clothes or are missing an arm or something. And if I allow shinies, everyone will want to be one and then it just gets boring. Plus there may be a plot thing that centers around a supposed Legend about a pokemon that is shiny. And if you want to join, join now because there will be a cutoff for applications.

He also wears a green scarf. Ray is also a bit fuzzier than the average Galvantula.
Personality:
Ray is quite mischievous. He likes to prank others by using his abilities to create a sticky web to glue the victim's feet to the ground. Or he climbs into a tree and jumpscares others by jumping right in front of them. He doesn't mean to do any harm with this, but sometimes it might get him into trouble. He especially likes to prank newcomers. He finds that it's his own way to greet and welcome greenies.
Ray is also a bit of a trickster. When facing a strong enemy, he'll attempt to trick the enemy by using 'the power of diplomacy' (according to Ray himself). In short, this just means that he tries to get away from the fight as quickly as possible by tricking the enemy into believing that he is just 'someone passing by'. However, when this fails, he can still pack a punch though.
Altough he might seem like a bit of a meanie, Ray is really very friendly. He doesn't want to actually hurt anyone with his tricks and jokes but simply attempts to make Pokémon laugh.
Skills:
Trickster: Ray can be a worthy asset of an exploration team due to his tricking skills. He knows where to hide from the sight of strong enemies and can distract enemies to make them an easy target for his teammates.
Web shooting: From his abdomen, Ray can shoot thick, sturdy thread to create a web with. He has the ability to electrify this web to paralyze any victim that gets stuck in his web.
Compound Eyes: Ray has an excellent eyesight and therefore also has a very high accuracy.
Pokémon Moves:
Being a weaker Pokémon, Ray doesn't specialize in damaging moves.
Electroweb: Lowers the speed of the target.
Signal Beam: Ray shoots a beam of light at the target, which deals damage.
Thunder Wave: Paralyzes the target.
Screech: Lowers the defense of the target.
Bio:
Ray grew up in a large family of about ten Joltik and one Galvantula in a small village. He was the fifth youngest of them all. They all had their own goals, and Ray's very own goal was to get in the Guild of Heroes. He always heard about them when he was younger and always listened to the stories that the elder of his village, an old Slakoth, told to the children of the village. Ray, too, wanted to be like them.
His mother already took him on some trips through Mystery Dungeons, teaching him that it's not only power that counts: you have to be a clever trickster as well.
Ray still writes letters to his family back in the village each week- he likes to keep them on track about the stuff that he saw. His handwriting is terrible though.

Personality: Takumi is wary of strangers. He is quiet and reserved, and often finds himself subdued by authority, though at the same time he is very prideful and efficient in combat.
Skills:
Stealth - Takumi can move quietly without being seen, though he has not perfected this, and has more than once been caught off guard by Noibat's hearing.
Tactics - Takumi is effective from a perch where his enemies cannot see him so that he can plan his attacks out. He is good at coming up with battle tactics on the fly.
Pokemon Moves:
Quick attack - Takumi dashes at the enemy, moving from side to side to avoid being attacked, and then launches a physical strike.
Bubble - Takumi uses the bubbles which form as a scarf around his neck to attack. They are rather sticky and, surprisingly, do sort of hurt.
(Welp, there's no pictures of a Frogadier doing Bubble in that way that I can find. Just pretend there is.)

Can we get some clarification on the 'legendaries of the chaotic forces'? I assume they're legendary Pokemon, but is it a specific group of them? All of them? Completely made up Pokemon? Is the ringleader going to be something crazy, like Giratina?

Can we get some clarification on the 'legendaries of the chaotic forces'? I assume they're legendary Pokemon, but is it a specific group of them? All of them? Completely made up Pokemon? Is the ringleader going to be something crazy, like Giratina?
I can't tell you the name of the ringleader, but with a title like that, it kind of gives away what Pokemon it is. As for the Primal Evils, they are the pokemon that embody the forces of nature and chaos. Groudon, Kyogre, Palkia, Dialga, Giratina, Regigigas, Tornadus, Thundurus, Landorus, Kyurem, and Yveltal. They will have helpers and so will the ringleader.
I will not allow shiny players.

"The best revenge is to be unlike him who performed the injury." - Marcus Aurelis
EDIT:
Finished my App.

Name: Pharaoh
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Pokemon Species: Yamask
Appearance: No notable changes from a normal Yamask.
Personality: Pharaoh has a flair for the dramatic, acting and overreacting whenever it pleases him. He has a tendency to use exaggerated words and phrases in an effort to heighten the and lower the state of emotions of others. With a sharp wit and a sharper tongue, he is coy and playful, though mostly in conversation only. On the rare occasion that he does get serious though, he tends to forego all aspects of tact and courtesy and do what is necessary to be done.
Skills:
- Calligraphy
- Oratory
- Poetry
Pokemon Moves:
- Will-O-Wisp: A move that does no damage, but applies a burn on the opponent.
- Hex: A move that does double damage if used on an opponent with a status effect.
Bio: To be revealed in RP.
Other: Pokemon Reborn taught me the value of using Pokemon effectively instead of relying on a one that would normally be considered powerful. If I had to choose though, it'd be Cofagrigus. With such a high Defense stat, my level 45 Cofagrigus could stand up to a level 75 Garchomp's Earthquake or Dragon Rush. Good times.
If I do not reply to my posts, I either have no internet connection, or am busy with college work. Alternatively, I may be writing up the post now. It all depends on the situation.

That Garchomp is running Dragon Rush, there's the first problem. It was probably a pretty terrible Garchomp.
*checks stat calculator*
Nope, the numbers check out. Ten out of ten. This is why your Garchomp should run Swords Dance, kids!
Okay, Pokemon lesson over, carry on.
