((Yeah, holidays are kind of a lie in year 12. I have to go to school tomorrow for a holiday class. On the bright side, 18 in a few days.))
((Additionally, can everybody just count their kills real quick so I can get a nice estimate? Original count was:
30ish Vampires
10 Elf warmasters
5 Draconian Mercs
3 Akechis
17 Hanzos.
I killed 2 Warmasters, 1 Akechi, 1 Hanzo and roughly 4 vampires.))
While the remaining Hanzos continue to erratically run about, expertly weaving in and out of cover, the fleshier enemies are slowly moving inwards towards the train, forming a tight wall, each man covering the next. with the small metal spike they previously titled 'Khan' sitting behind them, somewhat protected by both bodies and metal fragments.
Kingsley
King finally manages to get the upper hand in his duel, slashing the War-masters wrist and forcing him to drop one blade. King smiles as his opponent struggles to keep up with his single blade. After only a few seconds, King is able to drive his Wakizashi into his opponents gut. "Rest." His Katana then deftly slides between the Elf's breastplates, piercing his heart.
Suddenly, Kingsley is sent flying sideways as a Draconian shoulder-rams him. Dazed, King scrambles to his feet just in time to avoid another blow. His allies taking the majority of the heat, King is able to avoid being shot as he leaps at the Draconian, narrowly missing contact with it's claws as he punches it in the snout, sending it rearing back. King rolls to the side, draws his crossbow. The Draconian turns. King loads. The Draconian steps forwards. King leaps backwards, breathes in. Aims. Breathes out, fires. He quickly re-attaches the crossbow to his back so he can pick up his blades. The Draconian clutches an automatic firearm in one hand. King leaps at the Draconian again, using his blades to keep its arms away from him as he smashes his head forward. They both reel back, though only the Draconian falls over. Kingsley uses the opportunity, kicks the Draconians gun hand, drops his Katana, picks up the gun, fires at the Draconian's face. Very few bullets were left in the clip, but it was enough. The Draconian falls forward onto King's waiting blade.
He scoops up his Katana and runs at a retreating pair of vampires. Slices them open easily. Their stunned expressions make it clear they had no idea he was coming. He turns, briefly glimpses the sheer carnage his party is causing, as well as the newcomer(s? Can't remember). A smile spreads across his lips. He has missed this kind of battle.
King slumps forwards as a bullet penetrates his side. A Hanzo unit slides past him, gun raised. "Susanoo." A swordsman appears, his body flowing and shimmering like water. He sweeps forwards, guarding King from further attack. The Hanzo fights back, blasting the swordsman, who merely flinches. With one great sweep of his blade, the swordsman severs the robots arm. The Hanzo continues to fight back, immediately picking up the gun with it's undamaged arm and returning fire, circling the swordsman.
For a moment, it appears as if the robot is winning. The swordsman slowly loses ground. But then it dives forwards, and with a single slice cuts off the robots legs. It topples over, and does the only thing it can. It explodes. The swordsman survives, but King sends it away regardless. He may need him later, and even spirits take time to recover. King gets up, small flames lapping at his wound, cauterizing it. With some effort, he manages to shrink back to the trees, where he can pick off the stragglers while he regains his strength.
Nineball takes aim as the newcomer ran off to go help a man that had recently jumped out of a bush. It seemed most of the machines were gone by this point, with the exception of a few. The sniper he had stunned was still in the tower, not active, which means he could go get his gear after the battle. There was still the issue of the Akechi firing at the two, but there wasn't much Nineball could do at the moment. 'Scanning for possible points of interest.'
(Scanning the Akechi for anything unusual or known to be a fact.)
(I've killed 11 Hanzos, 1 vampire, and stunned another Hanzo.)
((1 hanzo, about....5 vampires(I left it kinda ambiguous what I killed), an elf warmaster, and I think that's it.))
The robot seemed to be in good sorts....Nano kept looking around. Whatever forces that had come here had definitely dwindled. Severely in fact. She looked over to where the man was lying upon the dirt bank. However, just as she was about to make her move, she saw something. Another man, definitely order than the previous one, fighting off the combatants. In a surprisingly well done fashion too, what with the amount of attackers he had to deal with. Of course, he still ended up battered and bruised from the encounter, but considering most other encounters with that many enemies would cause him to be dead, it's still impressive. Before long, he had taken down every single one of them. Her eyes locked upon him, questions flaring within them. However, distraction is never a good thing on the battlefield as before she knew it, another vampire quickly stroke at her. She turned forward at her attacker, quickly kicking him back as he swiped a sword at her.
The two opponents both reeled back. Her left hand attempted to feel for injuries, but stopped the moment she saw him go for another charge. She barreled out of the way, before ripping her dagger out and taking up a stance. The vampire slashed his blade down at her, with her moving as fast as she could into his inner side to avoid the blade. She slammed the entirety of her body up in a rise motion, sending the vampire up in surprise. She got in closer, dagger out and unbeknownst to him, pistol out as well. A dagger slash came towards his heart. He stepped to the side, swinging his sword with him to Nano's torso. Almost immediately after, a bang was heard. The vampire staggered back in pain and surprise. The bullet...it had done surprisingly more than what one would suspect would do to such a foe. Near a moment after, Nano tackled the brute again, with dagger pointed up. It quickly found itself in the vampire's lower jaw and, in another instant, a fire spell went off, incinerating his head and skull from the inside out.
She slumped over to a nearby tree afterwards as his corpse fell over to the ground. A right hand groped around for any injuries. A bad slash wound to the upper arm and a decent cut to the lower abdomen. A small cut to her foreleg as well somehow found itself upon and it would appear her forearm was apparently pierced as well. A flesh wound, but bothersome. Nonetheless, a groan let out. "Must've hit me harder than I thought." She felt her stomach. "Probably a bruise there too...damn." She looked around. The other man(Kingsley)seemed to have been running off actually, not too far from where she was. But a quick inspection of her wounds made her think things over a tad bit more. "I'm at a disadvantage at the moment...they're all nothing serious, but I can't chance things." With that, her white lights shone once again and a mist slowly enveloped the area she was in as she started to vanish within the fog. She stole a quick glance at both her robot compatriot and the man she was originally suppose to defend.
((I've killed 1 vampire, 1 warmaster, and 1 draconian.))
The rain of suppressive gunfire finally came to a halt. Just as Lloyd was about to make another pass through the battlefield, he was startled by the corpse of a vampire he hadn't noticed falling into the trench next to him. How had it been killed? Lloyd didn't see any bullet wounds. A quick inspection revealed a piece of bark lodged in the monster's heart, presumably a projectile that Lloyd didn't hear over the guns. Lloyd looked around for the potential ally.
A gunshot gave away the assailant's position. Lloyd turned towards the source of the noise just in time to see a woman, badly injured, slump against a tree. She looked around, perhaps searching for her allies, very clearly in need of aid. Lloyd's eyes met hers just a moment before mist obscured the line of sight. Presuming that the woman released the smoke as a form of cover, Lloyd charged in to where he had last seen her. Unable to see any further than a few feet in front of him, Lloyd barely managed to stop himself from running over the girl when he finally found her. "Relax," Lloyd ordered, wasting no breath. Without missing a beat, he raised his hand over the injured woman's figure and began chanting, casting a healing spell to close the more serious wounds.
As Nano laid upon the tree, thinking of any possible strategies what with how badly injured she was and enemies that hadn't fled were probably soon coming to investigate the mist, she needed some sort of plan to escape safely. She narrowed her eyes for a moment and darted her head around to investigate what little she could see. Still mist...Wait. As she looked closer, she could make out a vague shape. A man definitely. Her fingers tightened on her pistol as they approached. Stand straight.... Eyes locked on. Though, as they got closer, she finally softened her grip and breathed out the breath she held.
It was thankfully the same man she had assisted but a few minutes ago. "Relax"
She slumped back onto the tree as he put his hand towards her. Before she knew it, she felt a slight sting as some of her wounds began to close. The upper arm cut was vanishing...the stab wound began to close up. But there was an...unfamiliar pain. She looked to her left side. There was a rather large wound from her lower back to the left side of her belly that seemed to close further and further up. "How did I not notice that?" she said under her breath. She turned towards her new ally. "Thank you....If you hadn't arrived when you did, gods only know if I'd still be standing actually." A quick look down to check that the new wound was still there...yep. It was healing, but it definitely existed.
((Surprised he hadn't made note of the gas mask lol.))
