"Frek! I'm deathly allergic to bullets." Zaera muttered under his breath. "Someone take out the rockets and I think I see one sniper in there, can't have that." His voice began to fade as he began to dance left and right like a sheet of silk in the wind. "I'll slow down the warforgeds' thought processing to the speed of a human and the vampires shouldn't be able to do much as average joe's" He was at a near-whisper, but with a tone of surety to his voice. "Oh and I'll be the distraction" Zaera paused near the Warforged's head, a few feet of the ground momentarily listly lazily towards the ground. "Don't get bit." With a grin he disappeared into the trees to the left.
Moments later a small tan satchel hit the ground wit a thump having being flung from somewhere in the treeline. One elve perhapsadly leading a squad of vampires raised his chin, motioning two of the soldiers to go check it out. The two reached the treeline and after a couple of seconds of pointing their guns in all directions they about-faced and shook their heads.
"Surprise mother-truckers!" Zaera burst from the pack being investigated by a couple more vampires, his sword piercing one through the underside of his jaw and he then with a swift motion both severed the head and sent it flying towards a second vampire who repelled in disgust, firing his weapons into the air in haste. Z's offhand windmilled the pack towards a third unlucky soul, as soon as he had left the pack its monstrous grotesqueity had resurfaces, rippling into existance as Zaera had willed it to no longer be reserved in its magical means. The pack in what was assumedly anger grimaced and chomped at its victim.
Beyond witty retorts, Zaera found it difficult to speak while blocking more than three powers at once, but upon slowing the warforged's processing he had became aware of their hive-mind, something he had never read about but was interestingly a feature of these new models. His voice was almost slurred but he managed to get out the correct words whilst facing the elven squad lead. "He-llo, maye name is Za-hera, you killed my father, prepare to die."
Zaera jumped back almost ten feet when a bolt was shot towards his feet. He stuck out his toungue before running into the trees, a small portion of the army quickly giving chase.
Moments prior to this debacle Zaera had spun around, flinging his pack before diving into said pack, a lofty endeavor but one he had performed a couple occasions prior.
Reno chose to abide silence after the small conversation he had with his new acquaintance of the group. They kept walking in rather quite tonnes inside the forest, without any signs of an ending to be seen. It didn't take long until the newly found team made its way to the end of the path, and finally, Reno started making some sense out of this so-called test mission. A small army of enemies was lurking inside the glen ahead of them. The atmosphere was heavy, as was the armor of most of the combatants ahead of them.
By the time Reno made it to the rest of the group, that fella was already on the edge, ready to launch his attack. Before the fight broke, he tried to make an estimate of the combatants, and their positioning which was apparently random. "Their guard is down. They are not expecting any resistance in this place." He commented, whilst thoughts banged in his head: how would they take care of them with minimal casualties? Why were a bunch of high elves cooperating with vampires? And the lewdest question to rule them all: what was a small army doing in a place like this?
The time window was already at aclose however, as that guy with the strange backpack launched an attack on the vampires. The group was on the edge of attacking - could this be their distraction? If it was, then it was pretty damn effective, as three of the vampires were already down. And now that fool was retreating into the woods again. Great.
Reno sighed. He couldn't stand distraction when his skillset partially allowed him to do it himself, and maybe much more effectively and without a bunch of outlaw elves casting spells and crazed vampires with super-conscience hive warforged backing them. "He's drawing their fire." Reno said hastily. "I'll dispose the armed vampires that shoot at him from afar."
Reno snapped his fingers, and blue projections of his weapons started spinning around him. He reached out, and grabbed his dagger, and instantly, Lycata appeared within the grasp of his palm. The knife glared with the familiar silver glow under the dim light of the glen, ready to taste the flesh of the unliving yet once again. It was only then when Reno realised that this wouldn't be enough to take care of the larger combatants, but it shall suffice enough to annihilate the ranks of the vampires.
"You take those metal punks" screamt Reno, before launching his knife towards one of the shooters. "I'll kill those vampires before they kill our friend over there!"
As it was expected from the physique of a vampire, the target dodged Reno's knife. Just as the knife covered a distance that was no longer than one metre, Reno hopped out, and his figure lashed towards the knife as he blinked forward. He put his feet down instantly - now the distance between him and the vampire was less than one metre. The vampire didn't have time to react, as Lycata sliced through his throat just a moment later.
The other two shooters that backed the dead vampire acknowledged Reno's shift almost instantly, raising their arms to take a round at him. As the bullets came flying in, Reno shifted his position - as the battle started to rage, his concentration changed towards more subtle battle elements. How much caliber did those weapons deliver? What was the speed of the bullet? How versatile were their users at operating and firing them? And how would he dodge those bullets? Blood started pumping into his head, and the rage of the battle broke.
As Reno blinked two metres away from the storm of bullets, Lycata flew out and gushed inside the arm of the second vampire. "Say your prayers!" screamt Reno, who was already behind the vampire, locking the vampire's arm in place whilst his hand was on the hilt of Lycata. The vampire let out a cry for help, as his arm flew over the glen, whilst Reno was already plunging the knife deep within its heart.
The third shooter took aim. Whilst having his legs locked between the late vampire's neck, and his head looking towards the ground, he spun the corpse 180 degrees towards the direction that the bullets took. The corpse blocked the bullets just before reaching Reno. The instant reaction on his part arrived, and as Lycata was flying towards the sky, Reno blinked again five metres above the ground. Grabbing the hilt of the dagger he blocked its ascending arc, and launched it below him just as he was about to free-fall. The third vampire couldn't predict the airborne attack - it happened within two seconds after the death of its comrade. The vampire dodged the knife, which hit directly on the ground, but it couldn't dodge Reno's ability, as he was already standing on the ground, prone, grabbing the silvered dagger.
He sweeped through the vampire's legs, destroying them with the silvered blade of the weapon. The vampire fell on the ground, giving a grounded Reno the opportunity to strike. And then the fatal blow followed.
Imagine this with just more of a blue-grayish hair color. Might actually make a drawing of her tbh.
Powers: Of note, Nano has a good array of basic magic spells. A few fire, lightning, ice spells-the such. She’s a surprisingly adept magic user as well so she can pack quite a punch with them. There’s also the practitioning and use of summons that she apparently came to know. It’s a decently long list of her optional summons, but due to the usual cost of magic it takes to summon them, she tries to either go for the less costly summons or limit herself. Due to her mask, she actually gains a few more unique abilities. First, poisons that need to go through the mouth or be breathed in have very little, if no effect on her. It is actually rather strange in hindsight since usually a mask like that would need something to breathe through, yet she has known of that. Secondly, she can actually emit a strange cleansing aura from the mask. It’s superficial to a certain degree, but it tends to invigorate those in the area, causing a boost in performance. She’s also able to produce a thick mist from a white, wispy fume that comes from the mask. She can only use one at a time though, as indicated by how 2 lights on each side of the mask change color. Yellow for the poison, blue for the enhancement, a shining white for the mist. Nothing major, but a notable shift nonetheless. Finally, there’s the skill of “Ghost magic”. This is a strange bit of magic, that while not exactly incredibly difficult to learn, is largely unknown and only used by a certain amount of people. It allows Nano to, as one’d expect, have many abilities commonly attributed to ghosts. Intangibility(for a short time), invisibility, passing through walls, very temporary possession, the movement of inanimate objects, etc. However, it doesn’t stop there. There’s also “spiriting away,” where she can, for as long as she is able to hold it without losing concentration, essentially teleport someone away. Where they go is a mystery to even the person who vanishes. However, this is also excruciatingly energy consuming so while it is impressive, it’s still not a preferred use. On top of all that, the Ghost Magic abilities can be imbued on to others for a short amount of time. However, like with spiriting away, she needs to focus when doing this.
Bio: Not many know much about Nano in all honesty. Hell, there’s many who aren’t even sure if there’s even the face of a human under that mask. Or anyway, not many know much about Nano’s history or what she did before making her “grand appearance.” One day she appeared one day in a town wearing that gas mask of hers and, really, that’s when her history began. Ever since then, it’s been nothing but the life of a drifter for her, from one town to the next. To the world, this has simply been her life. Her past, to everyone else, is formed not by any experience with her but more so by rumors and tall tales about what could’ve happened. Well this and connections made here and there that may or may not even be the case.
However, there are a few facts, or more so connections, made that at least give some info. From what’s been gathered, it’s said that she knew of a man, or creature, known as “The Guru” some time ago. She was said to have seeked training under him for what could assumed to be magical teachings or something of that nature. However, after an unknown amount of training, “The Guru” went berserk, cursing and hollering at her for whatever reason. Some say it’s because she was stealing scrolls behind his back, while others say the man was always psychotic and she was but an unfortunate victim. Other say they simply had a falling out, but whatever the reason, banishment from being teached by him was still the result. Or so the stories say. Who she was before that event? Hell if they know.
Inventory: 2 pistols, a small dagger, a few magical tomes(primarily for more powerful magic), some ammunition, matches, a lighter, a backpack that carries way more drink and food than one would think for its size, a brush, a band to keep her hair back if need be, and a radio
Notes: You wanna know something funny? Ya see, I was originally gonna base her off of Yumi from Senran Kagura since I admittedly thought her design would be kinda great for this character idea. Well...Try finding a half decent pic of Yumi that isn’t gonna make everyone raise an eyebrow if you posted it here. You ain’t gonna last a second.

((I feel you. Some characters I like just don't have any non-lewd artwork... I liked the main antagonist in MeMeMe!, so it hurt to not find any good art.))

Nineball watched for a second as two of the members went down to engage the group. They seemed to be doing well, so he decided that he would lay down covering fire. Nineball drew is Arc Rifle from his back, directing it towards a group that hadn't been dealt with yet. The rifle would begin to charge what most would call a miniature lightning bolt, as it fired soon after. The shot would disturb nearby animals (if any) and could be heard for a decent distance away. Nineball had hit his intended target, and the bolt soon made it's way to 4 combatants near him. 3 of which were robots, the others being organic. The shock would be enough to fry the systems of the machines, while almost certainly killing the nearby troops. Some would live, but would be unconscious.
"Target hit. Redirecting." Nineball aimed for the sniper this time, a bullet striking the ground right next to him. The rifle charged yet again, firing a volley of electricity at the sniper, who was in the midst of lining up a better shot. The sniper was merely paralyzed, but the effect would last quite some time. Nineball wanted that gear he had, so he couldn't fry the enemy too bad.

Lloyd sighed as he leaned against the tree, spear at his side. He'd begun to grow bored of his surroundings. Well, to be fair, the scenery was quite pleasant for a hiding spot. Though thickly wooded, the plant life in the immediate area was bursting with a startling variety of colors. Lloyd initially enjoyed the ocular feast - it just got a bit boring after a while. Lloyd had spent the better part of an hour here, waiting for his kind scout robin to return with more news regarding the unit of Psycho Lullaby mercs he'd been tasked with causing trouble for.
Lloyd had taken on a job earlier that day to deal some damage to a group of mercenaries who swiped some tech. The job didn't state much about his enemy, which raised Lloyd's eyebrows a bit. But the pay was good, and with nigh-empty pockets, Lloyd felt compelled to accept. It didn't take him too long to find the culprits with some help from the local fauna, but there were far too many for Lloyd to take on alone. Cautious about biting off more than he could chew, Lloyd kept his distance to avoid detection by the merc robots' sensors. He recruited a robin to inform him when the situation changed.
Suddenly, Lloyd heard the unmistakable sounds of battle. A few seconds later, the scout robin landed on a branch above Lloyd's head. It began to chirp. Though anyone else would be unable to glean special meaning from the chirping, Lloyd got the message loud and clear.
"A group of about five just engaged the mercenaries you want to take out. If you're looking for an opening, you won't get a better chance than now to strike!"
A grin crossed Lloyd's face. "You've been a great help," Lloyd thanked the bird, "good work!"
Lloyd grabbed his spear in his right hand, got up, and started sprinting towards the conflict. With his free hand, Lloyd began to cast a spell - might as well be in top form when he reached his target. A glowing rune, bright white, formed slowly on his palm. Once finished, Lloyd slapped his own chest with his hand. In a flash, Lloyd felt energized. Breathing became easier, as though he always had enough oxygen. His pace quickened unconsciously. He grabbed his spear with both hands now and continued to rush towards the battlefield.

((Also, for everybody's sake, these aren't Warforged as they lack independent thought.))
The vampires fan out, creating a 360 degree watch of the area. "Stay alert!" One of the warmasters bellows, drawing a longsword. "Activate Khan!" At this request, one of the vampires stabs a metal spike into the ground. After pressing a few buttons, all the nearby robots activate fully, spurring themselves into action. While the Akechi's remain stationary, shooting at the group from afar, the Hanzo's immediately begin running about, taking cover and weaving through fire. "Khan is active!" The rest of warmasters begin shouting orders as the vampires finally gather their wits and begin counter-attacking. Bullets and grenades go flying into the trees.
Kingsley
King watches as his allies spur into battle. It seems his assessments were correct. Powerful friends indeed. Perhaps it was time to show his own skill. Kingsley draws both his blades and steps out of the trees. "You wll give me your honour in blood." He declares. Suddenly, he bursts forward, dashing madly at the nearest of the Hanzo's. It spots him and begins firing, but King continues his mad dash, creating a barrier of fire before himself, the bullets thunking against him like duds. At the last moment, he leaps over his prey, sticking his Wakizashi in it's face plate and holding it there. The robot struggles, attempt to break free, but King manages to hold on. "Shisa."
Leaping forward from a ring of flame, a cream-furred dog wreathed in fire appears. The dog jumps into the robot, melting it's core components. The Hanzo falls to the ground as King withdraws his blade. The small dog begins running, charging at a small group of vampires, while King heads in the opposite direction.
With a few swift strokes of his blades, the vampires fall, bullets whirring around him. One of the Akechi's turns it's attention to him. Shisa is off to the side, leaping at the head of a vampire while it screams in agony from the flames lapping at it's face. Kingsley thrusts his hand forward. "Oni." Shisa burns away as a new creature appears, a large, red skinned beast with menacing fangs. It lumbers forward and with a single swing of it's mighty cleaver, crushes the Akechi's head. The Oni steps backwards, and then takes another swing, this time crushing the Akechi's chaingun. It swings again, tak off the Akechi's claw. And with a final swing, it flattens the robot entirely. King desummons the robot.
Kingsley swings around, narrowly deflecting a strike from one of the Warmasters. The Warmaster swings again, and King spins, bringing both of his blades into the Warmasters, sending him reeling. Quickly, King steps forward, stabbing the Warmaster in the chest, barely clipping his breastplate. King ducks under another swing, bringing his blade up into the Warmaster. Enraged, the Warmaster comes at him again, and they engage in a game of parries and blocks.
From the side, another Warmaster attempts to stab King in the gut. He barely manages to avoid the two. "You dare interrupt our battle?" He jumps forward, putting his hand in front of the new Warmaster, a gust of brilliant white flames bursts from his hand while the Warmaster screams. The smell of charred flesh floods the air as King returns to his opponent, the Warmaster falling to the ground, his face completely charred and peeled, bones visible underneath the blackened mess that was once previously flesh.
With a final, upwards stroke, King brings his blade through his opponents chin, piercing their brain and killing them. King pulls out his blade, throwing himself at the next Warmaster as a warrior drenched by water appears beside him.
Nano stepped over the grassy plains at a hurried pace. With a fire in her hand to illuminate the path through to make sure she didn't crash into any stone or, heaven forbid, wildlife, her eyes carefully looked and examined the area around her. There seemed to be a forest not too far off from her location and if she keeps walking now, she should, in fact, probably be crossing through it quite soon. This was, seemingly, the route that that man spoke of back on the island. "In the Elvish Isles, it's said that a group is gathering. I do not know much for the details of the group, lest with they gather at this specific spot, but nonetheless they do. It's said that they lie beyond a forest. Or maybe it was within it....Either or, this is the info I know. I had only overheard it from another fellow a day ago and, in fact, it may already be too late to arrive there. Though to you sir, I wish you luck in traveling there." A bit of eavesdropping never hurt anyone, but listening to those 2 speak didn't give her the best idea of where to go, let alone if she was in the right forest. But, better safe than sorry. After all, if her directions are off, she can always set up camp for the night and try when day breaks. It'll be easier than anyways.
The forest seemed shockingly devoid of any other creatures, at least from what she could see. Every turn and every angle she couldn't see much of anyone or anything. Until, that was, her eyes caught a few broken branches here and there. "It's not much to go off of...However, this might give me some idea of where civilization is. *brightens the flame slightly* And a somewhat path of branches at that. Whoever was stepping by either didn't care about the amount they were stepping on or was simply traveling without the best light for themselves...Maybe they were even here recently." Nano whispered to, pretty much, the air around her. Almost as if the area desired to respond, a loud bang or several ringed through the air. It was distant though. Nano's eyes narrowed before she closed them with a sigh. "Fighting...Problematic, but whatever it is, if I keep my presence hidden and my guard high, I might learn something." Sprinting as carefully and quietly as she could, almost in a sort of creeping position, the gunshots grew closer and closer to ear as she tracked down their source.
After a certain distance when the gunshots had become fairly close, she finally cut out the fire. No matter how she looked at it, keeping the fire on at this rate would cause problems. If she needed to defend herself, magic was a most and energy especially. No sense draining it as a flashlight. Plus, stealth was key right now. With stealth, comes observation and possibly valuable info. However, only a minute or 2 after, there was rustling. Immediately in response, she went as close as she could to the nearest tree, practically hugging its bark, and looked in the direction where it came from. While the darkness made it hard to tell, it seemed to be a man, probably a bit younger than she was, running towards the assumed battle as well, with a bird seeming to guide his way. Not much detail could be made though as he was more or less a silhouette to her. After it seemed he made decent distance away, she pried her head from the tree as she kept going her path. <(thinking) I guess others overheard it as well. I need to keep distance though. In the darkness, anything can be easily spooked> Before long, came a clearing in her path with what could only be assumed to be the causers of the noise. With a hand to one of the trees and her head cautiously out to view the scene, barely a noise or a breathe came out of her as she viewed the battle.
Nano kept her eyes peeled on the combatants. It was hard to tell who belonged to what and what was quite going on due to the unfamiliarity of this group, but it seemed as though this one man was positively destroying the more...robotic force. Of note, he didn't seem quite dangerous and, in fact, somewhat familiar. Eyes narrowed toward him, as though trying to study his face. Suddenly, a swift slash of wind whistled next to her. Knowing the sound all too well, she rolled to the side to avoid it. It seemed a soldier from that more robotic force decided she was an enemy. With almost instantaneous action, she rushed him. However, unbeknownst to him, there was a shot fired prior. Right near his very feet. The moment he stepped over to reply to this counterattack, it was too late. A spike of pure solid ice jabbed its way through his foot. Being momentarily dazed at this new pain and letting out a gasp of surprise was his crucial failure. Before he knew it, her hand was cupped over his mouth. The first icicle didn't seem to do much. Only cut the roof of his mouth. The second though-there was faint sound as that ice blade went through his brain and skull.
She let the man's corpse drop and stood over it for a moment. There wasn't sadness or anger but annoyance instead. She let out a sigh. Two bright white lights shined as she slowly looked over. “Covers blown….great.” A few of the now for sure opposing forces were about to lock eyes with her as that thick mist started to cover the area around her and even extended further past her, as if it was a wispy cape of white. With that, she started to step back as the mist surrounded her.
'Scanning...' A new combatant had entered the area, but there was no telling whether she was an ally or an enemy. She had attacked one of the many soliders littering the ground, and killed him quite quickly. 'Possible ally... Or just trying to get our gear... Either way, she did some work, and drew the attention from the others and I.' Taking this opportunity, Nineball took aim upon those who had been outside of the new fog that girl had created, but had to wait before firing, as he couldn't risk harming a potential ally. Instead, he'd fire at a lone soldier that was also focused on her. Yet another soldier crumpling to the ground, toasted. 'Total enemies remaining...' (Halp if anyone is still into this.)

Nano stared at the enemies before her counting down the amount that seemed to have noticed her. "5, 6...maybe a few more than that." Before she could get a more proper head count, however, she saw one of said soldiers suddenly be burnt to a firmer....blacker color than he was previously. Eyebrows arched up as her head slightly turned to see where the shot had come from. A strange robotic creature seemed to have fired it. That would explain it at least...but she couldn't afford to stay open while in thought. She instead stepped back further into the mist as soldiers, about 3 or 4, began coming towards her. There was silence as both her and them faded into the mist. There were a few quick flashes and sounds of sword swings here and there yet them seemed to end just as fast, adding to this eerie sight.
Not too long afterwards, a familiar head made its way through the right of the fog with a curious notion. "It seemed to be firing more at them than me, maybe...Huh?" A shot darting not too far from her ear caught that thought out. With pretty much no more need for warning, Nano raced out of the fog, white trailing past her form. The lights of the gas mask dimmed and with it the fog stopped spewing out. Enemies instead chased after her. She weaved and dodged past any fire, launching a bit of counter fire back. More importantly, however, was the fact that this small group with Nano as the lead seemed to be leading to that robot from but a minute ago. "Only one way to know I guess. Hey!" She waved her right arm towards the robot and pointed at the group tailing her.
(10 will be dead, 1 stunned. I counted my kills. Well, that Arc Rifle thing is good and bad in it's own ways I guess. 11/17 defeated, excluding the big ones. I haven't checked everyone elses posts yet.)
While Nineball would've waited for the fog to disappear, he remembered his FLIR wouldn't be as effective in high quantities of moisture. It would still work to an extent, although he would only see a short distance into the cloud. He swapped over to the FLIR, and took aim at one of the soldier's guns. Considering they were robotic, the heat sig for them wasn't big. Luckily, the guns were, as they were shooting at the girl. 'Charge at 40%, fry the circuits...' Nineball charged his rifle to 40%, a lower amount of electricity forming around the front of the rifle.
Soon, the girl rushed out of the fog, leading 6 of the soldiers out with her. They'd be focused on him after he fired, but he could take some shots, unlike a living thing. She waved and called out, gesturing to the soldiers behind her. It was an obvious request for help, and second nature to perform the actions required to help those in need. "Alrighty." Nineball fired the 40% charged rifle at a droid in the middle, two more getting caught before the others backed away, clearly recognizing what was going to happen. The 3 droids didn't seem too damaged on the outside, but the damage was pretty bad for the fragile insides, and they fell over with several clanks. The 3 remaining droids began to focus fire on his position, at which point Nineball slid down the hill he was on, running towards a piece of cover.
He soon put his rifle in his bottom right hand, and rushed around the corner, finding 2 out of 3 droids firing at him. 4 bullets had struck him, 2 in the right torso and 2 in the top of his right leg. Luckily they didn't go through, meaning he could take in those bullets to patch in the holes. At least partially. Triggering his gauntlets and greaves, he jabbed 1 of the droids with his two left hands, tripping and kneeing the other with his right leg. Both being shocked until they ceased to function. Nineball let out a mechanical sigh, thinking that the droids would've been trained on how to deal with shock weaponry. His attention now returned to the girl, who he had scanned for until a box showed up, essentially telling him where she was.
Nineball picked up one of the dropped weapons from the droids and ran to the girl, holding out the weapon while observing the surrounding area. The weapon was one of the Assault Rifles mentioned in his scan data, which had about 18 shots out of 31 left in the magazine. "18 out of 31 shots left, hope you know how to use a gun. Swap to semi-auto using that switch on the side, it'll help alot with ammo conservation."

It seemed as though the robot Nano signaled toward was a friendly indeed. Before she knew it, the enemies chasing behind her we're being shot at it, a few even taken down. She ducked her head so as not to have her head shot through while trying to get away. Quick glance back...3 down, 3 to go. She glanced back over at the robot who seemed to have gone for cover with the other 2 returning fire towards him. One still decided to have its focus remain in her though. Her feet skidded to a stop before dashing right towards it. The distance was thankfully close so it couldn't aim its goes in on time to finish her. She pounced upon it while surrounding her hand in rock hard ice. As swiftly and elegantly as she got in, her ha,d drilled through the got enemy just as quickly. A quick electric spell soon fried it, turning it nice and dead.
With that taken care of, she immediately went past the hill towards the robot's location, actually meeting it at the foot of the hill thanks to their respective sprinting. In its hand lied one of the enemy's assault rifles. With a quick overview of the amount still in, she responded with a nod before switching to semi auto. She aimed towards looking around, yet heard something else entirely. A quick rustle rustle...that seemed to come from one of the vampires who suddenly jumped out, sword in hand. Her eyes caught him as she turned quickly towards him. With a jump of her on and her arm once again becoming ice, the foe was quickly impaled upon her hand before having another icicle pierce their brain to be certain. "Sneaky *******...."

"The best revenge is to be unlike him who performed the injury." - Marcus Aurelis
Zaera dashed among the sturdy trunks of the forest, avoiding shots where necessary, at least 5 things were following him, he couldn't get a direct read as they were all behind him and too zig-zagged amongst the tree coverage. There can't be more than eight of them. Zaera stopped at a larger tree and rebounded into the fray where he expected the enemy to be, one bolt dashed just above his shoulder, he could feel the heat emanating from it as it passed and smouldered part of his clothing, but also this gave away the position of one of his combatants. Zaera wove around the brush, using his sword to gently skewer this unfortunate soul but with only moments to jump out of the way of another searing shot that would have otherwised struck the back of his head. "You guys are no good at this, your weapon's fire give off too much sci-fi-ey whizzes and hums, you should have stuck with weapons a little more melee and aero dynamic.
And then Zaera's thigh was grazed with a shot from his left. "Ouch, also gotha." Zaera tossed his bag at the first and dived into the scrub that was home to a second enemy. His chain continued with him evading semi-gracefully, taking a couple of hits yet also making quick work of these presumed henchmen. "All in the work of a day."
((It's the 'holidays', but the forums seem slow in general.))
Lloyd burst from the tree cover, noticed only by a single vampire amidst the confusion of battle. The monster lined up perfectly in his path, Lloyd wasted no time running it through the heart with Dragonslayer. Pushing the body down, Lloyd used his momentum to cartwheel over the corpse, tearing out his spear and continuing to sprint upon landing. A warmaster, sword drawn, immediately became his next target. Drawing his own blade so that he held a weapon in each hand, Lloyd charged at the warmaster from the side, knowing his enemy would try to cut him down. As Lloyd drew near, the warmaster realized the presence of an approaching foe and reflexively swung his blade, just as Lloyd predicted. Lloyd blocked with his own blade, leaving the elf open to an attack with Dragonslayer. With the remainder of Lloyd's momentum, Lloyd's spear impaled the warmaster. Lloyd kicked the dying elf off of his spear, looking for another target.
Spotting a lone Draconian mercenary focused elsewhere, Lloyd sheathed his blade in order to hold his spear with both hands. He began to rush at the Draconian, chanting as he charged. More alert than the warmaster, the Draconian took notice of Lloyd much sooner and turned to face him just as he finished his incantation. The Draconian took aim and fired just as Lloyd surrounded himself with a ward, bullets falling harmlessly to the ground as they came into contact with Lloyd's magic barrier. The Draconian's clip ran dry, and Lloyd ran the Draconian through - Dragonslayer had no trouble penetrating both the mercenary's armor and scales.
At this point, one of the Akechis spotted Lloyd and began lining up a shot. Satisfied with the effectiveness of his first strike, Lloyd dashed back to the cover of the forest, barely making it to the treeline before the Akechi's miniguns began to shred the foliage indiscriminately. His ward quickly losing strength, Lloyd dropped down into a place where the land had been eroded by a creek, using the land formation as a makeshift trench. Pressing himself against the dirt wall, he moved through the creek in the hopes of escaping the hail of bullets, severed tree branches and the even entire trunks crashing down around him.
(( Yeah, I don't know why since most exams should be over by now. And it's cool gg, no worries.))
Just as Nano was about to point her newly acquired weapon at any more enemies that find their way over to her, she heard yet more gunshots. Some...surprisingly close. She ducked reactively before prying her head up to see where it was coming from. As fate would have it, it appeared as though the other combatants, whom she hoped were allies, were tearing through the aggressors. One man seemed to have skewered a soul or two, uttering a few bits of banter at them for their failure. And the other...well the other basically dashed into the battlefield, taking creatures down left and right. In all honesty, had it not be for the fact he took so many of the enemy side down, red lights would have been going off in her head to stay away from that. However, instead, she ducked back down and turned toward her robot companion. "Look, I'm going to try to give a bit of assistance to that man over there. Establish that we're a friendly. I'm going to do...something, but the lights here *points at her gas mask* should still be visible. Just cover fire for me if you can."
She took a quick look up and down of him. This robot seemed a bit battered...Not destroyed but battered a smidgen. She couldn't get too far....don't want to leave him in too much danger. Cocking the rifle, Nano sprinted for a bit into the tree cover. Almost immediately as she did, she vanished, as if she was never on the battlefield. Suddenly, 2 bright lights flashed, rather close to each other. Only a few seconds afterwards, she reappeared before dashing into tree cover once again. Glance left, glance right. Robot still in sight...in fact close by, and the man wasn't too far off.
She squinted her eyes, spotting a vampire hiding in the brush right near the man. Can't draw aggro from the other soldiers...Her hand grabbed onto the tree. One eye closed as she locked down onto her target. A piece of tree bark sharpened into a spearish shape darted out, fast as a bullet, right through the vampire's heart. Close shot....Rather lucky too from her distance and at that speed. She gave a quick thumbs up at him, hopefully indicating to the man near the dirt wall she was a friendly.

Reno
Name: Nano Praesmale | Age: 25(from appearance) | Gender: Female | Race: Ambiguous. Presumed human
Appearance:

Lloyd
There's no kill like overkill.
((Zeke, accepted))

"The best revenge is to be unlike him who performed the injury." - Marcus Aurelis
((Peeeeeeps....IC post brooooos. Also @Peashy Yeah, man. I saw a few shots of her that might be able to make it but it's very pushing the envelope))
((Bump))
((I don't have much to post just yet.))

((TO help move things along.))

((They should still be in this.))

((Things have just been a bit difficult for me lately. If people are still interested, I'll try to write a post in the next couple of days and get this flowing again.))

There's no kill like overkill.
