"W-well...I hate to upset you, but wouldn't all of us in the same place make us easier to attack by outside forces? If someone catches us by surprise or defeats our defenses, I think all of us being together would be a downside. If transportation is an jddue, or communication, I'm sure I could be of service. Maybe only meet in the hotel when we need to do something important?"
Rei sighed. "If everyone stayed in town, then it wouldn't be a problem. If there is a big attack on the base or city, then we need everyone to be able to arrive in moments.:
David himself, meanwhile, watched the police arrive from the crowd that had gathered outside. He turned to leave as they rushed inside, walking down the street and into an alleyway. His first move in years, and one that would turn more than a few heads.
Inside of David's head, a voice could be heard. It was deep and demonic. "Excellent work, young David. Taking out our competition, I see. Thank you for that. I didn't want to deal with any of them myself. They seemed too weak to even send my recruits after them. So I thank you for that."
"Well, have it your way then. Loaning expensive devices isn't on my bucket list anyway.
So, is there any other reason you called us here other then to inform us of a hotel room available for us? Heck, I don't even know these kind fellows -"
Jack gestured to the rest of the team.
"- let alone their names. Then again, I'm sure I missed introductions."

Jack chuckled again.
Rei nodded. "Correct. Well, I'm the team's leader, Rei. This is my archenemy Vincent." He points to the scientist next to him. "And the others will introduce themselves. But other than that, this is a hero team and we all need to vote on a name."
Rei looks at everyone who has arrived. "Welcome to Casa Del Rei. I found this when I first got to town. I met with Percy and he said no one was using it, so I took this place for my own. Well, make yourselves comfy. There is the hotel where I live. There are a couple buildings that are around here you can stay in. Make it your home."
Amos watched as two people stepped out from the shadows. While he didn't know who they were, he could see in their faces that they did not seem to harbor any malicious intent. Amos watched as one of the two men began to speak, saying that this was a place known as Casa Del Rei. Amos could tell that the man was talking about this place as if it was his home and thus came to the conclusion that his name was Rei. He then began milling off information about the underground cavern in which everybody stood and offered everybody a place to stay. Amos was happy to hear that as he had left most of his worldly belongings behind. He would have to find a place with a strong connection to the Guinee as to make sacrifices easier. That shouldn't be too hard, though. He is underground, after all.
Jack walks down, coming in at about the same time as Rei and Vincent. After quickly greeting everyone, Jack commented on their offer, his voice curious.
"I really appreciate the offer, but I have a house I'm already rather comfortable with. Do you wish to have us all close in case of a mission? Why not just use some sort of communication device that works off thought instead of moving everyone?"
Amos then realised that he was yet to make any sacrifices today and would have to talk to the barkeeper, which Rei had since called Percy. He would need to buy a bottle of rum and offer it up to the loa. This was a task for later, though as almost as soon as this thought came to Amos, a new man arrived out of the hatch. He was a handsome man, with a body mass slightly less than that of Amos, but he seemed no less confident about his muscle mass by his clothes.
The first thing that struck Amos about him was not his clothing choice, though. Instead, the moment Amos looked at him, he saw the face of the smartest or most foolhardy man he had ever seen. The man seemed like he knew absolutely everything that was going on and was processing millions of pieces of sensory input at once. Amos took a step back upon seeing this man's knowing eyes as he had never experienced such a wealth of information from reading a man's face before. Truly, he was in the presence of a man with knowledge akin to that of Ayezan, the wife of Papa Legba and that whose knowledge of the spirit realm was unmatched.
Amos began to think in quiet concentration as he processed the sight he had just seen in the eyes of this man. He drowned out all other input as the new figure and Rei bickered over having to live underground for a while. Amos spent time deep in thought before the new figure began to speak once again. He gestured to the entirety of the people in the room and mentioned that he didn't even know the names of the people in the room. While Amos was humbled by his presence, he felt obligated to introduce himself.
Rei nodded. "Correct. Well, I'm the team's leader, Rei. This is my archenemy Vincent." He points to the scientist next to him. "And the others will introduce themselves. But other than that, this is a hero team and we all need to vote on a name."
Rei introduced his associate as his archenemy named Vincent, and said that the remainder of the room would introduce themselves. He then mentioned in passing that everybody should vote on a name of this hero team.
Amos turned towards Jack, spun his cane around and tapped it on the ground, causing an echo that resonated throughout the cave. He tipped his wide brimmed straw hat and bowed, letting his arms move outwards from his sides in a semicircular manner. When his hands pointed straight in front of him, he pushed himself to an upright posture using his cane. In a deep-voiced Haitian accent, he proclaimed "Please call me Legba. I am a sèvitè, a servant to the spirits. What do I call you?"
Jen was hearing commotion from somewhere, some odd yelling and exclaiming coming from a nearby area. She walked to see quite a decent amount of these special humans or so they say. She hid behind a corner to not be seen, she might show herself to the person she met the bar was there, but she couldn't make out anyone in the dark light.
Jack's face lit up with both excitement and curiosity as he listened to the man. This man was respectful, no doubt, and worked with something he wasn't familiar with - this is always something that gets Jack ready to pounce on that person! His voice more then betrayed his excitement.
"Most people just call me Jack, Legba. Very pleased to meet you."
Jack's face seemed to furrow for almost a millisecond, thinking of the right question, and then Jack once again spoke to the man.
"Servant of the spirits? That sounds...great! What exactly does that entail?"
Jack then stopped himself for a minute, seemed to recognize his curiosity getting the best of his manners.
"You described yourself, I shall do the same. While my name is Jack, most people know me by my accomplishments - the teleportation device, the telepathic phone, cure for cancer, the first sheet-thin bulletproof armor, first whole - body virtual reality device...."
Jack chuckled.
"I'm bragging, I'm sorry. But, if it wasn't already obvious, I was born with extreme intellegence, and...I seem to just get more intelligent every second. I wouldn't exactly call it a power, but I effectively have limitless intellect.
Jack chuckled at himself again.
"I'm sorry. Yet again, I brag. Back to you. I'm very curious about this spirit world."

Percy noticed everyone had left the casino. He flipped the sign to make it say closed and cleaned up a bit. He jumped down the hatch soon after and joined the others.
Rei pointed at him. "And this is Percy. He is the best defense we have. Our home base's bodyguard."
Jack's face lit up with both excitement and curiosity as he listened to the man. This man was respectful, no doubt, and worked with something he wasn't familiar with - this is always something that gets Jack ready to pounce on that person! His voice more then betrayed his excitement.

"You'd be surprised. Although, even if I missed someone else doing those things first...all of the 'rip offs' I've seen seem to be strictly worse. Even then, I don't mind others improving on my design, because that in turn improves my design."
Jack smirked.

Amos was surprised when the obviously intelligent man in front of him asked about the spirits. Amos had immediately assumed that a man of his level of intelligence would at least know something about the Guinee and its contents. The man introduced him as Jack and began to brag about how many things he had invented. After his lengthy digression, he began to speak towards his intelligence and told Amos how he became more intelligent by the second. That alone explained what Amos saw in his eyes. Jack was able to remember each and every sensation that he felt at every moment. Amos could not begin to understand what that amount of information must feel like coursing into Jack's mind.
Jack expressed his curiosity about the Guinee and, just as Amos was about to speak, a new man climbed down the same hatch as everybody else in this room had. Rei introduced himself as Percy, the bodyguard. Rei then proceeded to shoot down Jack's prior claims to invention in which Jack responded by stating that he had improved upon the original design of all of those products.
Amos didn't have much of an opinion on this little dispute, but did see the opportunity to teach somebody about Vodou. Being a priest at heart, he was always looking for new converts and people to help serve the loa. He tapped his cane on the ground, tipped his straw hat upwards, and began to speak in his deep, Haitian accent once again. "Well Mr. Jack, I will be happy to teach you all I know about the Guinee and even some knowledge lost to time, but I need a favor first. I need some assistance in sanctifying my new home and a man of your ability would be a great deal of help. Firstly, though, before any of that. I believe we have been instructed to decide a name for ourselves."
"He's right when he says that. The first guns were absolute trash, but look how far they've gotten because someone else improved around the original design."
(Honestly responding to new people joining is time consuming...)
Lahire looked in the new man's general direction, not truly focused on him, but giving attention. Jack was what his name was, or at least what he was going to tell us. He was right for the most part, most of the time improvements were the most important thing for an invention.
"I didn't think sheet-thin armor that's bulletproof was going to exist for a long time. I can kinda recreate it, but I wouldn't say it's super lightweight for someone to carry. And then that same thing isn't RPG-proof... I get the feeling none of you have ever played COD? Oh, and to the new people here, I'm Lahire. I guess you could say I'm a gaming prodigy...If you want to call it that."
"A name for ourselves? I got nothin. Nothing that isn't a reference to a game of some kind."
There were two new people that ended up joining the group as well. One was dark-skinned man with a cane who introduced himself as Amos who said he was a servant to the spirits. Whatever that meant. The other was a man named Jack, and while he did intend to explain his power, Katarina found it quite difficult at first to catch up. Until she realized Jack was only bragging about himself until he explained more clearly that he possessed high intelligence and had created some neat gadgets. Though Rei didn't seem impressed by them, claiming they were ripped off already existing tools. Jack then responded to Rei, telling him that it's important to have the most efficient version than the first you know.
Lahire seemed to second that statement. "He's right when he says that. The first guns were absolute trash, but look how far they've gotten because someone else improved around the original design." Katarina nodded her head in agreement as well. After a remark on sheet-thin bulletproof armour and trying to recreate it, he then gave a swift introduction to the rest of the group. Katarina then took a step forward and placed her hand on her chest.
"Well I'm Katarina, and like Lahire said about guns. I can do this" Katarina then summoned an Astra A-60 to her right hand and examined it. "Yes pretty cool, I know" Katarina commented.
Two new people joined the conversation. One of them introduced herself as Lahire, a gaming prodigy. Amos noted that she talked about it as if it was one of her defining features. Amos used this fact to assume that it must have had something to do with her super abilities. Amos would have to inquire a little further about this fact as he had never had much experience with video games. The second one introduced herself as Katrina and pulled out a small handgun out of thin air. It was quite the impressive feat. Amos was rather impressed by this feat and decided to take note of the usefulness of this ability.
Lahire, instead of giving a suggestion, merely said that she didn't have any ideas that weren't related to video games. This, while mildly irritating, was to be expected. Amos stood in quiet contemplation for a moment and began thinking of a name. He pulled up a blank and looked around to the rest of the group, all of which who seemed confused. Amos then remembered something that he had heard from the great arbiter himself. Papa Legba had once told him "Communication is built on 3 pillars. Location, language, and movement. Master these 3 pillars and you will never be misunderstood."Amos realised that it was most-likely not the language he was using or even how he was moving, but maybe the fact that they were all standing in a damp and dark cave.
Amos turned to the rest of the group and tapped his cane twice on the ground and once again tipped his straw hat before smiling broadly. In his token deep-voiced Haiitian accent, he spoke calmly to the group. "It is very nice to meet you all, but this isn't the greatest of places to discuss our futures. How's about we find a nice place to sit and discuss this over a few drinks. I can contact one of the loa to help us find a very private location if you'd all like." At the mention of drinks, Amos smirked at Percy. "I'll need some good rum Mr. Percy. Could you please gather some for me. I would be happy to pay."

Percy ran into the run down hotel and came back with two full bottles of rum. "It's all on the house."
Jen finally thought to herself to finally show herself to these... folk. She kept her fingers around a spray can and walked towards the crowd. "Yo?" she asked, awkwardly as if she had trouble breathing. Her eyes darting from figure to figure, a man, a woman, a mech of some sorts, she wasn't sure what was going on exactly, she was horridly confused.

Rei, Vincent, and Percy all looked at Jen. Percy was the one to speak up. "Can I get you a drink miss?"
Amos suggested to the rest of the group that they should fine a place to sit down and grab a few drinks. To which, Percy acknowledged the idea and ran back up to the casino and came back with bottles filled with rum. Before the group could move on ahead, a new figure approached. It was a young girl with a vibrant attire. She had her hand placed on one of her coloured spray cans that was strapped to her belt. She awkwardly greeted the rest of the group.
Katarina responded by waving and replying with a "Hi! What's your name?". Percy spoke up next, asking if he could get her a drink.
"I'd like an explanation actually..." She responded.
"He said: Can. I. Get. You. A. Drink? Does that explain it yet?" Katarina replied.

Rei approached Jen. "I take it you missed the whole everything. Well, I'm Rei. That is Vincent, Percy, Katarina, Lahire, and everyone else." He points to everyone in proper order. "And this is the underground base of the superhero group that we have to decide on a name for."
Rei sighed. "If everyone stayed in town, then it wouldn't be a problem. If there is a big attack on the base or city, then we need everyone to be able to arrive in moments.:

Lahire, instead of giving a suggestion, merely said that she didn't have any ideas that weren't related to video games. This, while mildly irritating, was to be expected. Amos stood in quiet contemplation for a moment and began thinking of a name. He pulled up a blank and looked around to the rest of the group, all of which who seemed confused. Amos then remembered something that he had heard from the great arbiter himself. Papa Legba had once told him "Communication is built on 3 pillars. Location, language, and movement. Master these 3 pillars and you will never be misunderstood." Amos realised that it was most-likely not the language he was using or even how he was moving, but maybe the fact that they were all standing in a damp and dark cave.

Jen flinched after hearing the words. "Can I get you a drink miss?" she turned to Percy and spoke, "I'd like an explanation actually..."
