EDIT: Reread the OP, I missed the RWBY part. After a quick google, I'm guessing that's an anime or something. Nothing against the show/manga/whatever, but not interested anymore, sorry.
Yeah pretty much. The scythes, nunchucks, swords, spears, walking canes, gauntlets, and almost every other weapon is also a gun. Even boots. I think my favorite is the handbag that is also a minigun.

You have sniper scythes, a staff that turns into shotgun nunchucks, gauntlets that shoot shotgun shells, a rapier revolver that uses magical natural powder, a handbag minigun, a thermos that turns into a flamethrower club, a sonic trumpet, and hoverboard revolvers. That is just some of what is in the show.
The true question is, is there a benefit to not having a transforming weapon? Unless the tech can jam or malfunction/expensive to fix, I don't see how it wouldn't be better.

Most transforming weapons are more portable, and most people who build their own transforming weapons know how to fix them quickly on and off the battlefield.
