Long ago, a war was waged between two nations, Grindinar and Mitan. The battle lasted many years, but in the end, Mitan was victorious. The war was hard fought, and the Mitan, fearing another war would destroy them, created the Tai-Par training grounds. Select boys and girls were chosen and sent to these grounds to be trained by the high monks in the Sha'ai Disciplines. A long time has passed, and the Tai-Par training grounds still exist. But instead of training for war, the people brought here were trained to be Peacekeepers.
At least, that is what you are told. The Tai-Par training grounds have always been shrouded in mystery, and all those who enter are not allowed to tell anyone what goes on there. You are among the most recent chosen to go there and be trained to be a Peacekeeper. You have been loaded up into a wagon, and have set off eastward. Are you nervous, or excited? Fearful of what may lie ahead, or ready to face any challenge put in your way?
Hello! The lore isnt too long. Anyway, the setting is medieval-fantasy-ish, and this is going to be an every-day kind of RP, so very little plot other than the lore is in affect. Conflict among PCs is encouraged to keep things interesting.
RP Rules:
1. All basic forum rules apply
2. No godmodding, powerplaying or metagaming.
3. You have 3 chances to apply. If you are denied 3 times, all further applications will be ignored.
4. Put your favorite color in the Other section
5. Keep it PG-13
6. Above all else, have fun.
As you ride in the wagon, a Peacekeeper takes out a scroll and calls all of you to pay attention. "Ahem," He begins. "These are the rules of the Tai-Par training grounds. Break one rule, and you shall be warned. Break two, and you shall be punished. Break three, and you shall either receive a flogging or sentenced to death, depending on the importance of the rule. The higher the rule on the list, the more important it is.
"Number one, always show respect to other students and to your teachers. This includes bowing at the proper moments, no deception, and no fighting. Fighting shall not be tolerated, however, debates will be allowed, so long as the participants do not disrupt a training session.
"Number two, no romantic relations are allowed among students. You may be friends, you may be close friends, but you may not engage in any, Erm, romantic activity.
"Number three, do not steal anything from anyone. If it is not yours, then do not use it, unless you have the owner's written consent.
"Number four, each student learns at a different pace, however, you may not intentionally fail a test. Always do your best.
"Lastly, Number five, if you know of anyone breaking any rule, report them to a teacher, even if there is no evidence. Such claims will be investigated. But if you report someone who has done no wrong, you shall be punished. However, that is only if they are proven innocent. If there is room for doubt, you will not be punished.
"Follow these rules, and all will go well."

The peacekeeper then takes out another scroll and calls back your attention soon after telling you the rules. "Now, you are likely wondering what it is like in the Tai-Par training grounds. I shall tell you.
"First and foremost, the Sha'ai Disciplines. There are Universal Disciplines, and there are Unique Disciplines, divided among three Sets. At a certain point, you each get to choose a certain Set. All will learn the universal disciplines, but once you choose your Set, you will learn the Disciplines unique to that Set. You may choose your Set after mastering three Disciplines.
"Second, there are ranks. All of you will begin as a Pigeon. Ranks are signified by your colored cloak, and Pigeons wear Dark Gray ones. Once you have mastered three Disciplines and have chosen your Set, you shall graduate to Falcon. The color your cloak will be depends on which Set you choose, and will be explained later with each Set's Disciplines. Once you have mastered half of the Disciplines in a Set, along with three-quarters of the Universal Disciplines, you will graduate to Eagle. And lastly, once you have mastered all the Disciplines in your Set and all the Universal Disciplines, you shall graduate to a full Peacekeeper, though at the Tai-Par training grounds, you shall be known as a Dove.
"Next, the grounds itself. It is a small world here- our numbers have never exceeded seventy. Where you sleep depends on your rank, and all sleep in the Tower. Pigeons sleep on the first floor, Falcons sleep on the next floor up, and so on. For those that wish to bathe, there is a river a small distance south of the Tower. Meals will be served at Sunrise, Noon, and Dusk each day in the Dining Hall. Training sessions happen whenever you like- however, you must train at least twice a day. You may ask anyone Dove rank to train in any Discipline. However, the teacher decides where and how the training happens.
"Finally, the Disciplines. A list will be passed out with all the Disciplines and Sets during dinner tonight. After tonight, you have one day to do whatever you please before training begins. You may take a test in a certain Discipline after at lease three training sessions. There is no punishment for failing a test, unless you fail on purpose. If the Teacher feels like you have passed, you shall receive a pin to put on your cloak, signifying you have mastered that Discipline.
"Thank you for your attention. We should arrive in a few hours. You may take this time to talk among yourselves." With that, the Peacekeeper sits down.
We shall begin once there are at least two accepted applicants.

Puella Magi Madoka Magicka is an awesome, feel-good, cutesy anime. You should watch it!
((If by "Gear" You mean weapons, they'll be taken from you, unless you attempt to smuggle them in. Clothing wont matter much, considering you'll be wearing your cloak 99% of the time.))

I'm interested, just confused on what gear/clothes would be the most fitting. Any general idea of the area and what clothes would be "Normal"?
Half full? Half empty? Something else altogether? You decide.
