Hello, forum! My name is Zedpopper and today, I will introduce you to my game. This is a (long) game that is about the player (all of you) surviving in the zombie apocalypse. Now, I repeat this again: the game will be very long. I will try to update the game at least once per day. The apocalypse genre will be more like The Walking Dead's or Project Zombiod's rather than Prototype, BUT there are "special" zombies you will struggle against and there is a unique back story that will be somewhat unrealistic (but most likely, your character will not survive long/be lucky enough to discover it). Such is necessary to make it possible for humanity to actually fall to the zombies and to get your brain to think outside of the box (its quite hard for actual Romero-type zombies to defeat human civilization in the 21st century, especially in the US where there are more guns than adults).
In this game, the player is ALL OF YOU. To find out more about this, check the rules section below. ALL OF YOU will make the choices that direct the protagonist's life. Will the protagonist be zombie food? Or will he be the one to lead humanity's counterattack? The decision is up to you.
Rules
1. I am the creator of events. Whatever happens in the character's world will be decided by me. You (as players) cannot say "suddenly, a zombie horde appears." or "the character finds 60 shotgun shells in the fridge".
2. Use your replies to dictate what the character does. If you say "search the fridge", then I will create a script (back to step 1) and will have the character search the fridge. If there are 2+ courses of actions, I will try to have both of the actions happen at once (ex. If the players say "search the fridge" and "kill your reanimated brother", I will have the character kill the zombie then scavenge the fridge). If the actions fundamentally disagree with each other, I will have a "majority rules" vote to pick a decision for 12+ hours. If a choice is not made by the end of the 12 hours, I will pick a choice (I won't be too mean)
3. To make your character say something, reply "say 'quote'", and I will have your character say the 'quote'.
3. If the character dies, then the game will end. No more decisions can be made.
4. If you all (after a majority vote, if there is any disagreement) decide to say "commit suicide", then I will have the character kill himself in the most practical way, and the game will end.
5. Be polite and have good manners!
Aside from the rule, your characters will have several "spoiler" windows showing his possessions, his statuses, and etc. There will be these tabs (and possibly more added if more are required as the story progresses):
Inventory
In here will be all of the material objects your character has in his pockets, his bags, his vehicles, etc (ex. 3 pistols in his schoolbag). It will also show how much of his total carrying capacity he is using.
Equipped
This will show what your character has on for his clothing/armor/accessories (ex. a shirt on his torso). It will also show what your character has in each of his hands (ex. a baseball bat equipped on both hands).
Statuses
This tab will show how your character is doing. So far, it will inculde his hunger, thirst, fatigue, temperature, and any injuries. These things can change based on his buffs/debuffs that will affect him beyond the ordinary. Make sure you take care of your character!
Buffs/Debuffs
This tab will show you what kind of beyond-the-ordinary conditions your character is experiencing. These can range from anything from being buzzed on coffee, being exhausted after running a mile, or being unhappy due to the loss of a friend. The tab will also show you how your character's conditions are affecting him and his statuses. They can change the "status" and "traits" tabs.
Traits
A VERY important tab: this tab will show what your character is like. (ex. Unarmed Combat- 15 (inexperienced)) It will include information about him that you can use to aid yourself in survival. When pressed with a difficult choice, I suggest that you look at this tab.
Companions
This tab will have information about your character's companions (if he has any). It is by far the most complex tab and perhaps the most important. It will include their names, traits your character has acquired about them (or thinks he knows about them), notes your character has about them, what your character KNOWS they have equipped/on their inventories, what your character feels about each person, and what your character THINKS each person thinks about him.
Base Statistics
This tab will be more useful for some people than it will be for others (depending on your play style). It will show what your character knows about your base. It will have an outline of what your base is like (ex. A trailer with 2 un-reinforced windows and 1 barricaded door with a hole that leads to the roof). It will also show what kind of conditions your base is in (ex. there is a hole in the roof)
Information about the character and the first story post will be in the next post. Now that you know how the world around will be represented, let us dive into the New World!
Yesterday night, you slept early. You slept early because you had a job interview with a game company. Freshly graduated from college, you managed to convince your parents to let you live alone several weeks ago and to live in Paradise, about 100 km away from them. You rented a mediocre (but suitable for 1 person) one-story house a few weeks ago. You thought about how nervous you would be in your first job interview, but you gradually fell asleep.
Somebody's screaming of "Get away from me!" woke you up. You instantly knew that chaos was beyond your house's white, picket fence. The sounds of sirens, car horns, crashing, yelling, and screaming made you wide awake. You could not see what was going on outside because your curtains were closed.
What will you do?

You got your smart phone from your table and quickly turned it on to connect to the internet. You entered the website of the most prominent news station in your area and found an article about mass violence and rioting. The article pretty much explained that the first acts of violence occurred at about 6:00. Between that time and now (7:42 AM), hundreds of more of violent crimes have been reported. It stated that the crimes included intrusion of property, caninablism, assault, murder with a weapon, and murder with thrown objects such as stones or bricks. It stated that the perpetrators were often highly unreasonable and that victims sometimes fought back in self-defense. The article states that it is unknown why violent crimes have surged across the city since it has only been a few hours since the outbreak of crime. It said that panic was widespread in the city due to the violence. It advised you to stay indoors, to wait until the police department stop the outbreak of crime, and to wait for more information about the outbreak.
The article did not give you much useful information. You put your phone down and thought about the situation for a while. A few seconds later, you heard your window in the other room shatter. You instantly realized that the violence has turned towards you.

Knowing that you could be cut by the broken glass, you searched your wardrobe. In it, you found a sweater (it is january, after all), a pair of jeans, a pair of white socks, two AA batteries, a pair of black running shoes, and your tool box. In your tool box, you found a plain hammer, a plastic baggie with 10 nails, and a roll of sctoch tape.

You put on the sweater, the jeans, the socks, and the shoes. Now that you were fully dressed, the glass wouldn't be an issue. You put the batteries inside the toolbox and then carried it around with your left hand.
You decided that it was best to follow the authorities and to wait for the outbreak of crime to pass. You thought: "After all, the authorities know what they are doing and will quickly put a curb on the crime." You spent about half an hour in your room, and you felt a little bit thirsty during that time. The chaos continued outside of your house, but you managed to keep your mind off of it.
At about 8:07, however, you heard an incredibly loud "THUD!!!" coming from your house entrance. Somebody was punching your door with extreme force.
What will you do now?

Lock the bedroom door if possible. Then equip the hammer in the right hand. If there's no lock, attempt to block the door with things like bedside desks and whatnot. (This is all assuming that there is a window in the bedroom to open and possibly climb out in future.)
You locked your bedroom door, knowing that whoever was beating on your door was potentially dangerous. You then equipped the hammer on your right hand, just in case you would have a confrontation. You stayed in your room for longer, ignoring the incessant thumping on your door. The thumping became worse and worse and you eventually, you heard a metallic rolling noise. Instantly, you knew that whoever was thumping on your house's entrance broke the entrance door's hinges off and was in your house (you knew that this person was either very strong or had something akin to a ram because he broke your door down within a few minutes). A few minutes later, you heard the same thumping on your bedroom door.
You panicked because you knew that once the door was down, you would be the next target of whoever was attacking your door. You did have a medium sized window in your bedroom, which you could use to jump out of your house . You thought to yourself "I can no longer avoid the violence by staying indoors. It's fight or flight now." Indeed, if you stayed, you would have to confront whatever danger was inside of your house. If you escaped through the window, however, you would be safe from the danger inside of your house but vulnerable to whatever was going on outside of your house.

1-story house, 2 wooden (locked) entrance doors, 4 un-barricaded windows. 1 window and 1 entrance door is shattered. There is a picket fence surrounding the house.
The thumping on your bedroom door did not sound appealing, and you knew that this intruder was clearly hostile.
You walked towards the door and said in a loud, threatening voice "this is my home and I will defend it!". The intruder, however, did not stop attacking your door and only responded with a bestial moan. You remembered that the articles stated that the perpetrators were highly unreasonable. Indeed, whoever was attacking your door was very unreasonable and was clearly not going to stop attacking your door. You instantly realized that there was no talking sense into this man, only fighting him or escaping him.

1-story house, 2 wooden (locked) entrance doors, 4 un-barricaded windows. 1 window and 1 entrance door is shattered. There is a picket fence surrounding the house.
Quickly look outside the window to see if there are any dangers, if there are none then jump out the window, if there are then ready you're weapon for the intruder and wait.
You went to your window, opened your curtains, and took a peek outside. Beyond your 3 foot, picket fence, there was much chaos and violence. Disfigured corpses littered streets. You saw pale-skinned cannibals eating some of your neighbors alive. You saw more cannibals shambling after your neighbors, and you saw your neighbors either fleeing from them or fighting them with various melee weapons. There were several wrecked cars (including a police car with its sirens still active) around the streets. You saw squad of policemen using lethal force (their pistols) against a squad of cannibals. There were also many camera-drones flying above, recording or videotaping the violence.
You immediately knew that you would be safer inside than outside. You waited inside your room, and the intruder smashed your door down within 5 minutes. It was your neighbor John, but there was clearly something wrong about him. His skin was pale, he said nothing, and he kept making low-pitched moans. He was shambling at about 1 step per second towards you, his face had no emotion on it, and his gaze was fixed onto you. He looked just like the cannibals outside.
You instantly knew that you would have to use your hammer against him. He had already ignored your warning, and he even smashed down two of your doors to get to you. His gaze made it clear that he was here for only one reason- to hurt you and possibly even to kill you. Panic overtook your mind and adrenaline surged throughout your body. Within a few seconds, he was about 3 meters away from you.
What will you do? If you do decide to fight him, how will you fight him?

Knowing that John was not moving very quickly, you made a dash to run past him to get behind him. As you were running past him, he lunged at you and missed you because you were a moving target. He stumbled forward a little bit due to the momentum, and you used that time to move behind him. You wasted no time and smashed the top of his head with a downward swing with the blunt side of your hammer. Once swing was enough to stun him for a split second but was not enough to kill him, so you swung twice more before he stopped moving completely.
He fell to the ground and blood started gushing out of his caved-in head. Blood was spilled onto your floor, and you felt a little bit nauseous after looking at John's corpse. It took a few minutes for you to regain your composure and to stop being so panicked. Once the panic from the fight subsided, you realized what you did to John. However, you did feel justified because you were acting out in self-defense. You knew that you would not get in trouble with the law, as even the police officers outside were killing in self-defense. On top of that, you didn't like John that much anyway.
Very quickly, however, you realized that you were not safe. Because John had destroyed your house's front entrance door and your bedroom door, there was no barrier between you and the violence that was going on outside. Although you had fought John off, you knew very well how many of these cannibals there were outside. You knew that you would not be able to defend yourself if many of them attacked you at once.

1-story house, 2 wooden (locked) entrance doors, 4 un-barricaded windows. 1 window and 1 entrance door is shattered. There is a picket fence surrounding the house.
Do you have a car? if so then quickly go down and enter it, then drive to the nearest and safest area you can think of, if not then remain calm, and call the police to see if theres any possible rescue coming, if not then grab a backpack/bag, get all the food/drinks you can carry, grab a better weapon and go out the back door and ecsape.
You decided that the best thing to do was to find somewhere safer to go. You did not have a car, but you did have your phone with you. You dialed "9-1-1", but you did not get any connection whatsoever. You tried several more times before giving up on calling the police. You then decided that it was best to gather whatever useful supplies there were in your house and then to get moving on foot.
In your bedroom, there was a school bag that had your phone charger. In your bathroom, there were a pair of rubber gloves, a medical mask, and a pack of tissues. In your kitchen, there were 10 pieces of bread, a can of tuna, a pack of instant noodles, a frying pan, 2 forks, 2 spoons, a 2L bottle of water, a 200mL carton of milk, and a bag of chips. You put your food and the supplies that were in your bathroom into your bag, but you left the frying pan out. This was because the hammer was a better weapon. The hammer was designed to strike things, thus it was more durable (the frying pan was not designed to smash). But more importantly, the hammer had a smaller surface area of impact. That meant that the force of a blow would be concentrated into a smaller area, thus doing more damage.
Seeing all the food reminded you of how hungry and thirst you were at the moment.
After you packed your bag, it was about 8:45. You left your house from your back door. The violence continued outside: cannibals were chasing, eating, fighting, or besieging non-cannibals. Luckily, you were not noticed because the cannibals were already occupied with whatever survivors they were hunting. You decided that it would be a good idea to escape to safety.
There were 3 places you had in mind. Your acquaintance, Bob, lived in the house to the left of yours. You knew that he was quite a generous guy, and you knew that he had a car. Your college buddy, David, lived 3 blocks away. He was a reliable guy, but he was a little bit impulsive. Finally, there was the house 6 houses to the right of yours. You were not familiar with its owner, but Bob did tell you that he was an illegal gun owner (after 2020, civilian gun ownership was illegalized).

Bob was closest. Exit out the back door of the house, scanning the backyard carefully. If there is no threat, climb over the fence connecting to Bob's house, and if it is too high, grab a stool/chair from the house. Then knock on the back door of Bob's house if it was successful.
You scanned Bob's back yard for any threats, and you did not see any cannibals nor did you see any sign of violence. You climbed over your picket fence and over Bob's onto his property. You made your way to his door as stealthily as possible, and you were not seen or heard by anyone.
You knocked on Bob's door. Within a few seconds, you heard a bestial moan from inside.

Attempt to check around the backyard to see if there was a garage at the back for his car. Figure out if the car is a manual or auto car before trying to find the car keys. If the car was at the front, then look through windows at the back and scan for threats in each room until an empty room is found with a closed door, to which he will smash the window and climb inside, scavenging while making sure the door in the room is locked.
You scanned the area around the house, and you found a small, attached garage not at the back of his house but at the front of his house. You made your way to the front of his house, and you were not spotted by any cannibals because they were too distracted to notice you. The garage shutters were not closed, so you made your way inside. Inside the garage, there was a medium-size, black sedan. You knew that it was an automatic model because you knew its brand and its model. You did not see any car keys anywhere, so you went back to the back of the house and began looking through windows.
The first window (near the far right edge of the house) had no cannibals in sight, but it was a hall way window (it had no closed door). The second window to (a bit more to the left) also had no cannibals in the other side, and it was in a bathroom with a closed door (although its door was open). It was a relatively large window, so you knew that you would easily barely fit inside. You took out your hammer and smashed the window. A loud shattering noise was made, and you saw glass fly inside. You then proceeded to go remove loose shards of glass stuck on the window with your hammer. Then, you jumped into the window. You closed the door and locked it.
You checked the medicine cabinet, and you found a bottle of pain killers and a shaving razor as well as a roll of toilet paper. Before you knew it however, you heard a bestial moan outside of the bathroom door, and you heard somebody smashing the bathroom door. You regretted smashing the window, as the noise drew the cannibal's attention.
What will you do?

Quickly throw all the items into the school bag. Then, silently climb out the window and try to find an open door to the house, so he can sneak up behind Bob while he's trying to break into the bathroom and can attack him.
Intro
Rules

Quickly look outside the window to see if there are any dangers, if there are none then jump out the window, if there are then ready you're weapon for the intruder and wait.
This seems..
very
very
interesting.
What do you two think?
* i dont know i think it looks fine.

Quickly throw all the items into the school bag. Then, silently climb out the window and try to find an open door to the house, so he can sneak up behind Bob while he's trying to break into the bathroom and can attack him.
