((Ah, my apologies. School can be quite hectic most of the time. I assume the 'speech' from earlier refers to the one a few pages back.))
The man turned to face Jacob, visibly angry. He noticed the man's exhaustion hidden behind his shield of anger. Although Jacob had expected the man to deny the answers, the man instead let out a tired sigh and began to speak up.
"The others aren't up yet. I suppose we have time for a quick explanation."
Jacob smiled as the man went on about Cael and the Eversio system. The man explained how in the beginning, there was nothing but Cael. Shortly following it's creation, Gehenna, and then Ultio were created. He said that all of those planets had inhabitants, and that Cael was the planet with the strongest magic wielders in the entire Eversio system. The man finished by explaining that he, Jacob, and presumably, the other people in the warehouse were from Cael.
The man moved around the warehouse, Jacob following him at a reasonable distance. As the man walked, he continued to speak about the twenty Divine Beings that were placed on Cael. They each had a unique ability that made them different from the other beings. The beings then each took a portion of Cael for themselves and ruled over it. They created the ten kingdoms of Cael.
"A unique ability?" Jacob thought to himself, as he looked over to the people near the couches. "These people must also have abilities then..." Jacob pondered on what their abilities could possibly be, but then his reverie was broken as the man continued his tale. He took a seat, seating himself on a couch close to the others.
The man continued further, anger quite evident in his tone. He mentioned that the people here were the offspring of these beings, eventually taking their place as ruler. He also mentioned that the rulers of each kingdom were immortal until killed in some other way. Jacob nodded his head in understanding.
"That explains my extremely long life." Jacob said quietly. "I wonder how long the others have lived..." he thought to himself. A feeling of sonder washed upon him, wondering how vivid their lives were. The man went on.
The man started talking about a great war that took place millions of years later. Cael, Gehenna, and Ultio were locked into a state of chaos, which eventually ended in the extinction of all three races, and the destruction of the entire Eversio system. He mentioned that the rulers died in the war, and yet, they were here now, reborn amongst human beings.
Jacob briefly pondered on his rule, and his death, but his attention shifted back to the explanation at hand. The man had walked into a storage room of some sort, his voice still continuing.
The man went into further details about the war, explaining that Gehenna invaded Ultio to take their technology. Anyone that didn't join them were killed. They then invaded Cael, and this war lasted for 105 years before it ended with the destruction of Eversio. The man then explained the other two planets, Gehenna and Ultio. Gehenna was a warlike planet. Its people hated Cael because they thought the 'Creator' had favored them. Ultio, on the other hand was a peaceful planet that was invaded by Gehenna so that they could exploit the technology.
The man then walked over to where the rest of the people, along with Jacob were waiting. He placed a small wooden box, along with a heavy mace on the table nearby. The mace almost seemed to radiate heat, but Jacob couldn't tell for sure. The man turned around, pointing to a large, well-worn tapestry on the wall. It had three spheres, likely representing the three planets of Eversio. The sphere in the center was surrounded by ten smaller circles, each bearing a symbol of some sort.
"This is an old artist's representation of The Eversio System." The man said. He mumbled something afterwards that Jacob couldn't quite hear. The man then turned to Jacob before continuing.
"Now. Any questions before we continue?" the man asked.
Jacob stopped himself from barraging the man with a million questions. It was so fascinating, he could learn so much from the history of Cael.
"Xander Fo, is it?" Jacob mused once more. "How did you learn all of this?" He asked with genuine interest.

Nathan recieved an answer from Kyle, but it was not the one he wanted. Kyle seemed to not know what happened to him. Nathan sighed at this as it became clear to him that he would not solve the mystery surrounding Kyle. Nathan wanted to try to find out the mystery surrounding him, he hoped that it would explain why Kyle had been found unconscious. He thought about pressing Kyle for information but judging by his earlier responce he concluded that it would be a pointless endevour. In addition it appeared that Kyle was scared. Nathan had an idea why that would be, after all Kyle was here surrounded by strangers and he had only recently woken up from unconsciousness. Nathan would be scared too if he was in a similar situation. Nathan put on a reassuring smile, if he couldn't find out what happened to Kyle he could at least try to reassure him.
"It will be okay" Nathan said.
Nathan wasn't sure what would happen now, he supposed that Xander would know what to do. He had helped Kyle earlier so maybe he would continue helping him, at least that is what Nathan hoped. His thoughts were broken by the sounds of Xander speaking. After a moment of quiet listening, Nathan discovered that what Xander was saying was the fantastical explaination of Cael. Nathan couldn't help but let a smile creep onto his face, he was hearing the fantastical explaination that seemed to be true.
Then he heard something new, a question that Nathan hadn't thought to ask. The newcomer had asked how Xander knew about Cael. Nathan suddenly devoted his entire attention to the conversation. He wanted to know the answer, he only wished that he had thought of asking the question. But that didn't matter, what did was that he was going to hear something that would provide some information of the mysterious Xander Fo. The man who had recently explained about Cael that Nathan knew little about.
((Quick question, we refer to people from Cael as Caelings, so we refer to people from Gehenna as Gehennans? And what of Ultio? Just wanted to get my lore straight.))

Whatever I just said, I didn't mean any offense. Unless we're fighting, in which case I probably did.
If I said something was a joke when it didn't seem like one, I'm making an excuse to avoid an argument I know is coming. Instead of telling me how not funny I am and how it didn't seem like a joke at all, just go along with it. Because flame wars suck and nobody wants to be a part of one.

The damn image won't work-screw my iPad!-but you should click this link. Now. Or you'll regret it...because this suggestion is epic.
Personality: Though not exactly shy, Cedric normally doesn't go out of his way to start a
conversation. He tends to go with the flow most of the time, and allows others to lead the way.
This is a result of knowing very little of humans, as he spends most of his time underwater. He
is easy to get along with, but hard to know well, as he keeps his inner thoughts hidden from
most.
Appearance: Cedric has relatively short, white-blond hair. His face is smooth and blemishless,
with a pale complexion. His body is well-muscled, but not hugely bulky. His clothing tends to be
plain and unadorned, usually being jeans and a sky blue t-shirt when on land. For extended stays
in the ocean, a navy blue wetsuit is his clothing of choice.
Kingdom: Unda
As ruler of Unda, Cedric kept to himself, and reigned mostly from behind the scenes. But despite
his secrecy, he was a shrewd and clever leader, and Unda thrived under his rule. His goals were
mostly internal, and he dealt with the other kingdoms only when absolutely necessary. It wasn't
until the Eversio War that he discovered that relations with his fellow rulers might have been
prudent.
Abilities:
-Power of the Ocean: When in contact with water, (external to himself), Cedric gains superhuman
strength, agility, and endurance. The opposite is also true, however, as dry climates tend to
make him ill.
-Aquamancy: He is capable of manipulating water to his will, this includes its motion, but not
its temperature.
Year Reborn: c. 1256 A.D.
Background:
When the Eversio War began, Cedric tried to keep Unda from being involved for as long as possible. He kept
his army close to home, bringing only minimal aid to the other kingdoms. Had he helped the rest
of the planet, perhaps the might of Gehenna could have been held at bay for longer, but Unda
stayed safe within its walls until the enemy lay siege to the kingdom directly.
The wall was breached, and rather than fight, Cedric's cowardice reared its ugly head once again.
He dived into the ocean and tried to get as far from the battle as possible. He couldn't escape
fast enough, however, and he was captured and killed.
Cedric was reborn in the year he later estimated was probably around 1256 A.D. Lost and confused,
he sought shelter with an elderly fisherman and his wife. This was where he stayed for the next
few years, and he discovered and learned to use his powers at this time as well.
It soon became evident to Cedric that he didn't age, but he hid this from the people around him,
along with his watery powers. Flashbacks to Cael began as well, and he began to be afraid of
himself and all his unsolved mysteries.
Then, after a few years, the couple with whom Cedric lived died within several days of each
other. Now adding sorrow to his emotional burden, he didn't think he could handle being around
other people, so he retreated into the ocean for good. This was how he lived for the next 700
years or so, and he reclaimed his memories from Cael one piece at a time.
It was around the 1940's when Cedric found he had changed. Haunted by memories of abandoning his
people, he decided that he wouldn't be a coward any longer, and he set out in hopes of finding
other rulers that had been reborn. But humanity had advanced significantly in the centuries since
he had left, and his efforts to discover other Caelans was hampered by this fact.
Cedric got a job, and once he had gotten used to the world, he began searching everywhere for
people like himself. Going from place to place, getting work wherever he could find it, his
search came up empty. Until the day he got a mysterious letter from Xander Fo.

((Ah. Noted. I've tweaked my lore(app) accordingly. Also, quick question. how do you feel about lightning as an Aegis ability? It does make sense given that the whole thing revolves around storms and such, but it seems to be close to an Astrum ability. I say this because I presume we get to improve and discover new abilities over time, but I wanted to make sure.))

((I'd say that would be fine. It would most likely be an ability for both Aegis and Astrum that could be developed later.))
Cedric sat down on the park bench. He looked down at the object he held in his hands. A letter, the first he had received in a long time.
This was it. His fellow rulers were within his grasp. Unfortunately, this letter had arrived yesterday, and he hadn't checked his mail yesterday. Which meant he was late for the meeting.
As he sat and thought about what to do, Cedric saw a kid, probably around 9 years old. He seemed to be asking people something. Cedric stood up from the bench and walked over to him.
"Hey, can I help you?" Cedric asked.

((I don't mean to rush or pressure anyone, but I'm waiting for all characters to gather in the warehouse so Xander can explain what's next. I won't wait much longer though as the story must be progressed.))
((This is where difficulties arise. From what I've discerned, isn't that park in Philadelphia? It's also nighttime(at the time of Spark's post), so I guess you can try a timeskip to go to New York and consequently, the warehouse. Of course, for convenience's sake, you could switch the time and place to a park in NY in the morning, making travel time less, etc.))

((Yes, I deleted my old post and copied and modified it here. Judge me all you want, I'm lazy. It also works a bit better into the characters.))
It was pretty late, but Griffin decided to walk to this one park he knew about, but never really was interested in. People there were usually friendly.
It was unusually empty, with no kids screaming, which was strange for here. He didn't go talk to any of the kids, he didn't like the weird games they played.
He tried asking a few parents talking about some hair thing. They ignored him, and moved on to another topic. The only other adult in the park was this one old guy who was sleeping. And Griffin didn't want to wake him up, he needed his beauty sleep.
As Griffin was about to move on to some area elsewhere, he saw someone who had been hidden next to a fountain at the park. It was a man wearing a blue shirt. He looked friendly enough, so Griffin walked over to him.
"Hi, erm, sir, can you, uhh, help me out? I can't read this letter."
((Also, sorry about the long wait. I was a bit busy. After being lazy, of course.))

"Sure, I'll help," Cedric replied to the boy. He looked at the piece of paper that had been given to him. He was shocked to find that it was a letter identical to the one sent to him by Xander Fo.
Cedric glanced at the boy again. This was a ruler of Cael? Oh well, Xander seemed to know better than he did under the circumstances. Without further hesitation, he read the letter to the boy.

Alex realized that Kristen and Alyssa were still asleep. He walked over to Kristen, who was comatose on the couch. Marveling that she could sleep through everything that had happened, he gave her a gentle shake to wake her up.
Alyssa, however proved more difficult. Alex shook her a couple of times, but she continued to doze. He thought about shouting, but Xander had already tried and failed in that regard. Unable to think of another option, Alex caused a sudden bright flash of light that filled the room.
This proved more effective, as Alyssa awoke with a start. "Sorry about that," Alex said. "I wasn't able to wake you up any other way."

As Nathan waited for Xander to answer the question of the newcomer his mind began to wander. This aimless wandering through his thoughts and memories was not completely useless though, it served to organise Nathan's experiences over the last couple of days. He had been contacted by Xander Fo who had revealed to him that he was once a ruler of Cael. While this statement did sound unbelieveable there did seem to be some truth to it. Nathan did have supernatural powers and had lived for a very long time, two things that helped Nathan believe the unbelieveable. Yet this only seemed to be part of the mystery, there were still questions to be answered and some questions that Nathan hadn't even thought of yet but was certain that they would be of importance. One of these questions that needed an answer had not come from Nathan at all but from the newcomer, whose name Nathan did not know.
Then Nathan noticed something, there were some of the other missing from the morning's mystery solving. After a quick headcount Nathan came to the conclusion that Alyssa and Kristen were the ones that were not present. Nathan assumed that the cause of this was that they were asleep, but how they could sleep through this was a mystery.
There was another mystery, one surrounding the identity of the newcomer. Although this mystery could be quite easily resolved, all Nathan had to do was ask their name. He quickly decided that it was best to at least know the names of everyone here. So Nathan, intent on getting to know everyone here, moved closer to the newcomer. When he was about two metres away he spoke.
"I don't think we've met, I'm Nathan" he said politely.
I rubbed my eyes. "My god, couldn't you do something ELSE? I get enough bright lights at night-for some reason every store in New York has light-up signs-and the last thing I want is bright light in the day."

prudent.

An important fact of life:
((Inhabitants of Gehenna are known as Gehennians and inhabitants of Ultio are known as Ultions. As for Cael, the correct term is Caelans. Caeling is somewhat of a derogatory term, often used in a more mocking sense.))
((Accepted. I'll wait to post until your character is introduced.))
((Ah.

((I'm just waiting for SparkPixel to join me, and then we'll find our way to the warehouse somehow.))
