Suddenly, both Zicka and Alice left. Well, Alice didn't so much leave as bolt at top speed from the location. Was Alice really socially inept enough to bolt from a location just after introductions? I remained for a moment, dumbfounded. The rays of the morning sun poured in on the spot I knelt, and a light breeze blew past, snapping me back into reality.
"So," I said to Ordis, the only one remaining, "what do we do now?"
[Ivan]
They were both horrible liars. The girl - Lucy - claimed not to know what her friend wanted with the piece, but she knew exactly what capabilities to look for in the hardware she was after. The boy - Will, as he had introduced himself - claimed not to be participating, but rather spectating, in a tournament that hadn't even been properly identified. Why they were both lying, I didn't know, but it probably didn't matter in the long run. I noticed that Will was ludicrously strong, but I wasn't inclined to press the issue. I was pretty strong myself, and I'd seen stranger recently.
"I'm Ivan Rykov," I replied to Will's question. Maybe mentioning my last name was a mistake. It was, after all, the same name present in that of the company, and, as an extension, this store. I didn't know whether or not they'd make the connection, but if they did, I was both concerned and curious as to how they'd react.
((I'd say not as strong as Will as far as brute strength is concerned, but if Ivan (quite literally) puts his mind to it, he can do some pretty crazy stuff physically.))
((Hey Ninja, don't mean to pester, but can I make the twins now? I feel it'd be an opportune moment, considering the Tournament is within sight and all.))
After I had asked Zicka if he needed help to move he didn't respond. He suddenly got up and left without saying a word, probably to find Lucy. "Well that was kind of rude, at least Alice didn't suddenly bolt like that." As soon as I finished my thought Alice said that she was going to go train for the tournament. Slowly backing away she suddenly turned around and jumped out a window before landing and taking off. "Well that's one way to get out of an awkward conversation." I said as I turned to Garret who looked as dumbfounded as I was.
"Well other than trying to find my friend, I really don't have anything else planned for today." I responded to Garret after he asked me what we should do. "Do you want to grab a coffee or something?"
-------------------------
[Lucy]
After I had introduced myself Will told me, rather sarcastically, that he'd keep the street fight invitation in mind. "Wow, no sense of humor and a master of sarcasm, 2 of the things I hate the most." I thought he looked around the store before settling his eyes on a 50 pound weight. Walking over to it, I was a bit surprised when he picked up the weight like it was nothing. Giving his appearance I didn't expect him to be strong, but it seemed like there was more to him then meets the eye. I was even more surprised when he lifted a total of 500 pounds without showing any strain. He dropped the weights before gathering them once again and walking over to Roy to check out. After he got to the counter he stated that he was simply going to watch the tournament and that he was not competing. "Wow that lie was so bad a baby could call him out on it." I thought.
Before I could react the man that Ordis and I had helped suddenly burst through the door. He told me that he would like to speak to me and as suddenly as he entered he had left. "I wonder what that's about." After he had left the man who hadn't introduced himself had finally introduced himself as Ivan Rykov. The last name was instantly recognizable as it was present in the name of one of the most successful robotics company there is, Rykov Robotics. It didn't take long before I put two and two together and realized that Ivan was the son of the founder of RR. "So that's how you knew about the inventory." I said before I remembered the guy who had wanted to talk to me. "Well it's been nice meeting you but apparently my friend wants to talk to me so goodbye I guess." I said as I quickly asked Roy how much the arm is. After telling me the price I fished out the correct amount of bills and coins, thanked him and left the store.
Stopping outside of the store the guy from before was waiting for me. He appeared to be thinking about something but honestly I was in a rush to distance myself from the store. "Alright what did you want to talk to me about?" I asked the man while casting nervous glances back towards the store.

1 Year ago the military was on the losing side of the war. All seemed bleak until one soldier brought a penguin in to training. I looked over at the newcomer as Rani introduced himself. He looked like a normal human, but his glowing hand said otherwise. The sword at his side was rather long, even by longsword standards, but it wasn't quite a great sword. If it were, he'd probably be wearing it on his back rather than his hip. I simply stayed silent and observed.

I developed a taste for these golden-brown cakes with a grid formed into each side, topped with a delicious, yet sticky substance not unlike tree sap. If memory serves, they were known as "waffles." I decided to go to a place in town known as the International House of Pancakes, which I also found pleasant to eat, and on my way I ran into Rani and Glaive, along with that pyromancer I saw earlier. "Hey, I'm heading into town to get some breakfast. Does anyone want to join me?" I asked.

Lucy came out, and asked what Zicka wanted to talk about. Zicka sighed. "One of my allies managed to heal my injuries, thankfully, but thats not the end of it. I am suffering from magic withdrawal, and my magic reserves are not filling themselves as they should be. They have been blocked, and ive no idea how. By a long-shot, do you know anything about this?"
Zicka had prepared himself for a resounding 'no'. from her. However, some of his other allies were in that same store- perhaps some of them might know. Or perhaps not... Maybe returning to Aer wouldnt be as bad as Zicka originally thought... Or then again, it may be worse than he imagined... Zicka would postpone deciding this until he knew whether or not he had to go back to live.

"Wait your magic reserves have been blocked? Like completely blocked?" I asked the man. "That is very strange, I've never heard of someone being completely blocked off from their magic." I sighed as I tried to remember anything that could help in this situation. "Alright so if you're suffering from magic withdrawal that means either you had a large spike of magic introduced into your system and your body couldn't handle it or something sapped your magic reserves quicker than your body could replace it. But that still wouldn't explain why you aren't able to produce magic."
Sighing again I was about to tell the man that he was out of luck when I thought of something. "Hey I think that I might have an idea on how to fix your problem." I said. "If we can suddenly introduce a large amount of magic into your system the large amount of magic may be able to break through whatever is blocking you from being able to replenish your magic. It's a long shot but it's all that I can come up with."

Thanks, and if you see me in the tournament, that means it worked." Zicka then re-entered the store, and walked towards his allies. "I hope im not interrupting."
Zicka awaited a response before asking them if they would help. Zicka would understand if they denied- less competition, and it would drain their magic, but a few were there, and Zicka knew it would take at least a few. I considered Ordis' proposal for a moment. I didn't have much else to do, so it couldn't hurt. Additionally, it would provide me with an opportunity to ask some questions, like who exactly this "Lucy" was. However, I wasn't very familiar with the area, so I would have to let Ordis choose where we went.
"Great, I passed this one coffeehouse when I got here so I guess we'll go there." I said as I motioned for Garret to follow me. We walked for a few minutes before we reached the coffeehouse. It was a small place with a few tables and chairs set outside for customers to sit down. After ordering an espresso from the waiter I took a seat at one of the tables. "So what do you want to talk about?" I asked as the waiter brought me my drink. Thanking him I took my espresso and took a sip. "Ow I burned my tongue." I said while fanning air onto the burn on my tongue.

(( Sorry about my inactivity, I've been going through a bit of work-related turmoil. I was offered the opportunity to move from the current branch (for people who haven't known me as long, I work for Google at a local branch) to the main offices in California. It's the chance of a lifetime, but I'm going to be putting it off until the end of this semester, when I'll graduate with a degrees in Business, French, and English. In just a few short months, I'd be moving to America and throwing away all of the societal knowledge I've accumulated. It's a hard decision, but at least I've got time to think it over. ))

The arenas were complete. In the last few hours, I had managed to create duplicate versions of the primary arena so then all five brackets could participate at the same time. The labyrinth that acted as both a moat and a test of qualification had already been set in position. All of the curtains were hung, all of the digits inscribed, everything had been complete. I would normally now become bored and find something to do, but I figured waiting was the best choice. After all, I wouldn't need to go anywhere to find a play thing, someone came to me.
"Tobias, stop this foolish behavior." The wind scolded, blowing by in irregular patterns. Had the Gods gotten word of my intentions? It was possible due to A'thery's distinct ability to gather any kind of verbal information. "The Tainted exist to punish humanity; Fallen Angels exist to punish the Gods. You exist for neither of those. Humans will not benefit from this contest, nor will the Gods. I doubt even your precious pets will find any sort of gain."
"Father, did you not think that I would be careful regarding you? All information on my actual scheme is stored up here," I replied, tapping my head, "so that you wouldn't be able to tap into it. If Xeltia were still around, you guys would already have turned on your sirens. Don't worry, all parties will profit from this. The Gods get what they wanted: humans to honestly gather in order to work together. Humans are rid of the Tainted, the children grow stronger, and I get to test my limits. The Tainted aren't so lucky, but they don't matter. You, however, gain the most. Ah, you'll see about it later." By how slow the wind was moving, I could tell A'thery was attempting to think the same way I was. He previously figured that I was just a man who could not stop gaining power, but the ignorant king would never consider that I had surpassed all foes and just needed something strong enough to go all out against.
After several minutes of absolute silence, the wind began to roar. "No, you can't be thinking to —" he attempted, before I forced the wind to stop moving. He had figured out my plot, but it would be impossible to organize a force against me in just eight or nine days.
((Whoo! First of two, baby! Terribly sorry for inactivity.))
Name: Saurva "Vlad" Inngala
Age:
5,378 Years Old (Chronologically)
9 Years Old (Biologically)
Gender: Male
Race: Vampire
Appearance:
The first word to describe Vlad would definitely be "Goth". While his personality directly contracts that idea, the concept remains, unperturbed in its purpose. He has pasty white skin, a slightly paler shade than Alice, that just enhances his other features. Behind his finely curled eyelashes, a pair of blood-red eyes pierce through the darkness like an arrow through flesh. His ebony black hair reflects the sun's light like sunglasses, giving him a sort of unnatural gleam. His fingernails are longer than usual, yet still seem finely manicured and sharpened to a point.
If you're trying to identify his status in terms of muscularity, look no further. He's actually remarkably healthy! His biceps palpitate under his skin, significantly visible and giving more girth to his overall structure. If one were to take his shirt off (creepy!), a a six-pack could be seen just under the surface, and upon flexing are far more defined and visible. Overall, he is incredibly fit for combat, yet not to the point that it inhibits mobility. Under his mane of hair, a small pair of ivory wolf ears are revealed. They're hardly visible without external circumstance, and when he is using enough magic, it's hardly the oddest trait that rears to the forefront.
His natural fangs increase in size, going from canines to a pair of twin knives hidden in his maw. As his full power is drawn up, his hair becomes white and his pupils revert into slits. A small canine tail would sweep out from his pants and stiffen angrily, as if he was threated. The point is, despite being a vampire, he still has traits reminiscent of a wolf's. His skin, despite being pale, can be easily pointed out to be more like armor if tested. He states that this is because his body has simply recycled all the carbon he has absorbed and used it to harden his teeth, skin and claws. Essentially, he is a living weapon.
Magic (If Applicable): Well, his magic is more inherent than it is to others. Instead of a versatile multi-tool, it is more of a honed instinct, used subconsciously. If the situation calls for it, he can control his body in horrific ways, from a blade of bone to a bullet of blood. Along with that, his strength is absurd. Houses are like cardboard, steel is a paper clip, human flesh is like a tissue, and rock is like a sheet of paper. The ultimatum of this is that, Vlad's body is the source of his power, and he can't do much without it.
"The tale of how the twins were born begins here. On a lonely winter night, a lone wolf howled to the moon, begging for food. It was the lone survivor of a harsh winter, and it stood alone the victor over starvation. However, the moon answered. Blessed with Hidei's will, the wolf found itself drawn to wealth and food. On the dawn of an Eclipse, the wolf stumbled into the Royal palace, taking the meal right off the King's table. The guards moved to kill it, but they were ordered to stop. The King felt himself drawn to it, and upon stroking its ruffled fur, two children were born of their love."
Or at least, that's how the story's wrote it. The truth is as of yet undisclosed, and the twins aren't comfortable speaking about it. Regardless, they are two children, sealed at creation and born of the cosmos. Astral light shines in their soul's, and may it reflect into their life as well. They spent the first decade or-so living amongst their kingdom, raised by their Demigod father. For as of yet unknown reasons, they were sealed away.
I figured I'd use this opportunity to try to learn more about Tobes' tournament.
"There's something I've been curious about," I replied to Ordis, "but it might sound a bit crazy." I chugged about a third of the coffee, since heat really didn't bother me. "I heard the other day about some kind of tournament aimed at destroying the Tainted permanently. I wanted to see if anyone else heard something more concrete about it, or if it's just a rumor."

I was unsure why the girl though my relation to the founder immediately translated to knowledge of the inventory of some store in the middle of nowhere. I didn't really mind if that was the only reaction it elicited out of her, however. I was also pleased that Will didn't seem to care. I never liked being the center of attention. Then, Zicka came out of nowhere, pulled Lucy out of the store, and came back in after a brief conversation, hoping that he "wasn't interrupting". I didn't really think there was something to interrupt, so I was more than happy to talk to him.
(( Looks pretty good Mad Man, just raise the apparent age a little bit. I don't care if they are much older in all actuality, I won't let children be running about.
Scarf, remember that you still have the controls to the Timekip. I don't mean to rush you, but there is plot to get to. If you wish to keep it a mystery and not reveal if your powers return until the competition, I think that'd be pretty neat. ))

"So what do you want to talk about?" I asked as the waiter brought me my drink. Thanking him I took my espresso and took a sip. "Ow I burned my tongue." I said while fanning air onto the burn on my tongue.
((Yeah we're still in Verona and sure you can come to the coffeehouse))
(( Sorry about my inactivity, I've been going through a bit of work-related turmoil. I was offered the opportunity to move from the current branch (for people who haven't known me as long, I work for Google at a local branch) to the main offices in California. It's the chance of a lifetime, but I'm going to be putting it off until the end of this semester, when I'll graduate with a degrees in Business, French, and English. In just a few short months, I'd be moving to America and throwing away all of the societal knowledge I've accumulated. It's a hard decision, but at least I've got time to think it over. ))
[Tobias]
"Ah, ah, ah. No spoilers."
((Zicka was speaking to the others in the shop, not your character, obsidion.))
Chosen Deity: Hidei
Expertise: Hand-to-hand combat.
Equipment/Weaponry: None.
Bio:
Other: Tempura Rolls.

"Hi, Zicka. What do you need?"
There's no kill like overkill.
(( Looks pretty good Mad Man, just raise the apparent age a little bit. I don't care if they are much older in all actuality, I won't let children be running about.
Scarf, remember that you still have the controls to the Timekip. I don't mean to rush you, but there is plot to get to. If you wish to keep it a mystery and not reveal if your powers return until the competition, I think that'd be pretty neat. ))
