((For those of you wondering, I am still working on reading this thread. You guys have a tendency of making really, REALLY long posts. I have no problems with this, but that means it takes longer to read them. However, I've also been studying for a school exam. On top of recently having a bout of stomach sickness (fun stuff, I know), on top of the already-mentioned Heroes of the Storm, (Seriously, I can't get enough) I haven't been reading much. I have been reading. No doubt about that. I'm just doing it at my own pace.
Haven't forgotten about you guys! But things will most likely get busier before they get less so, especially with Christmas being RIGHT around the corner. Anyway, just wanted to let you know I'm still here.))

((Because it's Christmas time, as Scarf mentioned, a large number of things are happening in a relatively small span of time. I keep telling myself I'll get to posting but I just don't, and I don't want to hold the thread up any longer. Madman is in control of Ivan until further notice.))
((I'm terrible at RP'ing other characters. It's not you holding up the thread, it's a lot of things. We'll wait until Christmas is over, then we can start back up.))
(( Hey everyone, sorry for being hugely inactive lately. On the twentieth of December, I finally moved to America (California, specifically). Between moving, finishing up classes for my major, and setting up in my new job location, I've been a bit busy to RP. I'll see if I can squeeze in the time for a post tonight, but no promises. ))
((I'm going to attempt to defibrillate the thread. I just hope it's not too late.

I hesitated at the idea of being the subject of a PR video. Personally, I hated doing public relations - as an introvert, I never enjoyed large crowds of people, let alone acting as the center of that crowd's attention. I had explained this to Alice on previous occasions. Why Alice would try to thrust me into the spotlight so suddenly was beyond me, but she looked like she made up her mind. I sighed.
"Fine."
Holding the Tainted creature steady in one hand, I swapped out the goggles I wore for something that made me a little more comfortable in public - my gas mask. I walked over to the testing grounds. I rotated the dial on the Tainted's side and slid a lock in place. Without any semblance of magical capabilities, I needed a manual input to operate the creature. The animal-like weapon soon morphed back into the claw-like form Alice used.
"Action!" Jackal called. I started by vocally logging the usual information that video of Tainted weapon tests usually contained.
"Testing prototype T-523, mode 6, calibration version .931. Begin test."
At the sound of the buzzer, I launched into action. I stood opposed by a formidable and intimidating force of six immobile, helpless wooden dummies. Veterans of their trade, the enemy expertly arranged themselves in a hexagon surrounding my starting position. Besieged, I could only take one course of action - destroy them all.
First, I utilized psychological warfare upon my foes by delivering a violent uppercut to the dummy right in front of me. My target was split in half vertically. He was no longer a factor. Moving the weapon with its momentum, I brought the claw down into the skull of the enemy directly behind me. Paralyzed by fear, he was incapable of dodging the attack. I tore the weapon out of him along with a chunk of his face. Without ceasing to move, I spun and slammed the back of the weapon into the chest of the unsuspecting hostile to the right of the second dummy, shattering his rib cage. Half of my adversaries destroyed, I lunged forward and cleaved the hapless foe directly opposite me diagonally with a violent upwards slash. I sidestepped to the left and rammed the blade into the fifth mannequin. Using the blade as leverage, I heaved the dummy over my head and sent it sailing into my final mark, who, standing awestruck, could not react in time. The buzzer rang out once more, signaling the end of the struggle.
"Five seconds," Jackal commented. I slid the lock on the blade out of place, and it shifted back into the little Tainted animal. "Not bad. In other news, the chopper is here."
"Excellent. I'm gonna go get the dogs." I walked back into my workplace to wake up Bloodhound and Vise. Jackal closed the door behind me and began speaking to me through the speakers in the workplace.
"I think you were showing off a bit back there," she questioned me, much like my sister would when I exhibited abnormal behavior, as I walked over to where I had my dogs in maintenance mode. "That's not like you."
"That video was for PR," I replied, unhooking Bloodhound from his maintenance bay. "A little showmanship can go a long way to selling a product." As I moved over to unhooked Vise, I told Jackal, "I might be a while. Tell Kat not to freak out."
With the dogs in tow, I walked up the stairs to the helipad on the roof, the helicopter hovering in wait, clad in the silver and red with the Rykov Robotics logo painted on the side door. Alice was already on board. I crawled in through the open side door, Bloodhound and Vise leaping in after me. The aircraft gained altitude and flew off. Rather do the safe thing and close the open door, I chose an option which would have infuriated Kat. I sat with my legs hanging out, watching the infrastructure pass by below.
(( That's fine, Obidian. Scarf, take as much time as you need. ))
(( Finals, man. Finals. ))
