In usual Fallen-Angel-Fashion, I had become oblivious to my surroundings. A woman presented herself as Iris, apparently from the military or whatever-she-had-said to come to our aid. Tobias had somehow managed to get even the top brass to join our rag-tag team. Along with her, another man decided to have a nice, blunt, little outburst. People like that would get along very nicely with me.
"Welcome to the group, Iris. Try to fit in, tea time is at four." I welcomed, with a tinge of sarcasm toward the end. "And as for you, mr. Let's-Shout-At-Everything, we're discussing what the heck to do about Caelum. Tobes says to go south, so that's where we should either go or avoid. If we want to help out at all, we nee—." Before I could finish, even my senses were overwhelmed with raw energy. I knew how powerful Tobias had presented himself to be back before his Tournament, but he was likely still holding back at that time. Now, I didn't need Brom to answer. This could only mean one, single thing: he was in a fight that holding back meant getting killed.
Despite how blinding his energy was, I could accurately figure out where it was originating. "South west. I'm going to go help him." Words like who I was going to go after we're not needed. With a snap of my fingers, jets of fire were created at the pads of my feet, propelling me toward the source of the presence.
Two new people arrived, but Brom didnt catch much of their conversations. Then, one of them asked him a question, but he didnt get a chance to answer. The girl from the original three spouted something about helping 'him', before taking off with jets of flame. Brom used a magic sonar to see what she was heading for. Tobias, along with four other powerful beings. Brom didnt know much about the situation, but he knew that when gods clashed, mortals must stay out of the fray.
"Head to the south area!" Brom shouted. "I'll meet you there!" Brom then took off after the girl. Brom tried his best to get to them, but was unable to close the gap due to the fires. Brom decided to send magical pulses in alternating patterns to the girl, trying to warn her. The patterns were a magical adaptation to a language called Morse Code, and he sent a short message. He's strong enough. Brom then dropped out of the sky, exhausted. He used most of his magical reserves to catch up and keep up with the girl. He needed rest.
((Any objections to me adding the magic-based Morse Code, Ninja?))
Witty. I could work with with. I was about to respond with an equivalent level of sarcasm, when suddenly she started heading towards THE GIANT FLEET FROM CAELUM. Then another guy followed her. If you weren't aware, I'm supposed to ensure the safety of this little group. So, them going off to endanger their lives isn't very high on my checklist. I knew I couldn't stop her, even if I had access to more of my power. She was simply too powerful!
However, I could ensure her survival. And this time, I didn't have time for fancy chants. Chalk-white runes burst into existence around me in a complex array of runes and symbols. While long-range teleportation generally required a second Mage to make a link to, the fleet was only a few hundred meters away. As the circle gradually faded to black, I tossed in some parting words. "I'm responsible for y'all pseudo-humans. So don't die."
It finished its' fade to darkness, and my aura flashed violet. With a final wave, I disappeared in a flicker of indigo light. The travel was instantaneous, from my perspective, at least. That might be because I was l currently a beam of light, which doesn't follow the same direction of time. Either way, I appeared before the fleet. Well, eighty meters ahead of them. Granted, I was cloaked at the time. Either way, the girl from earlier was approaching fast. While I couldn't prevent her from fighting, I could certainly increase her chances. Well, actually I could probably paralyze her if I laid a trap. Oh, who am I kidding! I just want an excuse to cast Celestial Meridian. I had about two minutes to collect my mana, and I couldn't do that at my current Level. So, whipping out my phone, I made a call. While I waited for them to pick up, I set up Privacy Wards to ensure I wasn't detected. Finally, he picked up. "What do you want, Iris?" "I'm dealing with a fleet from Caelum. I'd appreciate access to the Fields of Avalon." "Oh, just that? Sure, whatever. Try not to do too much damage, alright?" I rolled my eyes. "Yes, mama." I said sarcastically, before hanging up. I still don't understand why I allowed the Government to bind my power. They trust me to use it, so why is it necessary at all? Well, I know the answer to that. Even though I've served for the past three centuries, they're so used to ordering around their citizens they can't make a simple exception for me. So they use this as an excuse to try and make me believe they can control me. Ugh, humans...
Running my finger along my left arm, several incredibly intricate blood runes shined a vibrant gold before tracing up my shoulder to my forehead. A small 'click' would've been heard, if not for the wards preventing sound from escaping the area. And with a pained grunt, I felt my Clockwork limb reconstruct itself to accommodate additional magic. The 'sheath' unfolded, and a gleaming silver blade replaced my hand. Navy blue magic ran up and across it, reminding me of a lake. And with that out of the way, I began casting the spell.
Now, I only had about eighty seconds till she got here. So, I made sure not to waste any more time. Prismatic azure strings extended from my palms, glistening as if they were pure moonlight. They swirled around me as if possessed, a chaotic yet concordant dance that ultimately led to them freezing in the air, having identified the proper positions to begin the spell. Flashing white for the briefest of moments, the strings slowly writhed out of their prior abodes'. They gradually entangled themselves around me, forming an icy-blue chrysalis. This 'shell' finally faded to my skin, and without further ado I tilted my head expectantly. She should be here any second now.
(( No objections. Mad Man, let's not forget that Demi is heading toward Tobias, not the fleet. ))
[Tobias]
At first, I had figured that it might take both Garrett and Rani, the two more battle oriented warriors in the group I had always liked to keep my eye on, to defeat a single Juror. Now, I knew that it would take the whole lot of them.
Despite being attacked in four different ways simultaneously, it was clear that I needed to get rid of the support before taking on the offense. This meant I'd need to use my new abilities to pop a hole in Octavian's perfect shield. He alone had absolutely no magic power, but his physical shield acted as a sort of artifact for him to conduct magic. Caelum's magic was, if three of the four jurors here were any representation of the whole, focused on tools. Octavian's shield, Vulcan's ring, and Medusa's vambraces. Andromeda's entire body had that energy, but it was still different from having actual magic power, so that'd require further investigation. Anyways, the defensive warrior was blocking a vast majority of my attacks, which annoyed me. Getting him to let go of that towering shield would be difficult, since he was likely trained to keep a firm grasp on it at all times, but there are always ways to get people to do what you wanted. His entire uniform was made of thick plates of metal, which was a stupid idea when dealing with me.
"Thundering Serpent." I shouted, which is extremely cliché. From my left and only hand, a snake began to appear in the air, it's body composed of sparks and bolts. It dodged it's way around Octavian's barriers and made contact with his shield. That shock didn't get him to abandon his tool, but rather just loosened his grip. Andromeda was behind me, preparing a spell of her own, which would end up working perfectly. Just as she launched a barrage of meter-long ice spears, I gave her a brief winked and used Godspeed to duck out of the way. That volley of crystalline projectiles smashed into the dazed Octavian, knocking him to the ground and the shield out of his tight grip. I figured having his tool would be advantageous to me, but the moment I had picked it up, it seemed to heat up to an unbearable degree. In all likeliness, it was bound to it's master.
"I know we've got numbers on our side, but I want to go one-on-one with him. I'm the only one who doesn't have to worry about dropping anything." Andromeda told her two remaining partners. Vulcan and Medusa nodded, then backed away. I didn't notice it yet, but the city that was once pure and free from the wretchedness of magic had faced the same fate as Sinbad. Buildings were either freezing over or turning into dust, with that effect growing slowly across the holy refuge. My foe flicked each wrist, summoning pillars of ice from the ground to act as a sort of area for us to duel. With the other Jurors out of earshot, she began to speak. "Our Emperor wants you removed from this war, dead or alive. I have special permission to capture and keep you as my play thing. If you surrender now, you may not have to lose any more limbs. I've kept every warrior that has ever caught my eye and I will add you to my collection, even if you are just a corpse."
"Sorry, but I've still got work to do here." I said, looking down. I didn't care about who won this war, nor did I care for the countless mages who lived in Eternia who might lose their lives or freedom. I fought for my own personal agenda, nothing more. "You are the strongest Juror, aren't you?"
"Yep." Andromeda confirmed, cheerfully. "If I was trying to kill you, you'd be dead, just like everyone in that eastern city. Anybody near me is within my blast radius."
I grinned. "Then I will not insult you any longer by holding back." With a snap of my fingers, all of my clones around the globe disappeared, revoking my limitation on my current power. By correcting my stance and breathing a bit, I opened up the reservoirs I had created within myself to act as energy storage. All gates were blasted open, all chains were shattered. However, before I could use any of this energy, our fight, if you could call it that, ended. My abdomen began hurting with a sharp pain from just near my stomach. All of my energy dissipated. There was no longer any strength left in my muscles, so I collapsed.
"I know a bit about Eternian magic. The connection between your magic energy and the physical world is a small organ called the Arcoli. Yours is now frozen solid." She taunted. Magically oriented Fallen Angels suffered the worst from a damaged Arcoli in much the same way as the Tainted relied on Titaint's magic. "We're done here. Before we leave, get your finest clothing because we're going to go take a visit to the Emperor."
[Demi]
Tobias' aura disappeared when I had gotten about half way to wherever he was. There were no other presences near him, but I'd suspect he had finished fighting some strong Caelum soldiers, perhaps a Juror or two. He likely suppressed his presence to remain hidden, but after he was forced to bring out as much power as he could muster, I was still worried. I stopped boosting myself, unsure of whether I should continue to pursue Tobias or if I should change course to head south.
((I had assumed they were in the same direction. Iris would be more concerned about the Fleet, I think. Also, if Demi doesn't show up soon, Iris might blow something up. I don't mean that as a threat, she's just got this spell active right now that's gonna do at least some damage. If a Juror comes after her though... Well, I'll just hope she doesn't die.))
Rani heaved me onto his shoulders. All this noise about the south and Tobes was getting a bit tiring for me. To be fair, my wounds probably helped quite a bit with that, but still.Without much else to do, I decided to make things easier on both Rani and myself. I succumbed to exhaustion and drifted off to sleep.
[Ivan]
I smiled under my gas mask. It was good to see Alice back in her right mind. That said, I had very little idea how to react to her latching on to me a second time. Not that I found the situation to be unpleasant - quite the opposite, in fact - I just didn't know how to react. Unsure what else to do, I wiped the remaining tears from Alice's face and patted her head.
"It's good to have you back."
[The Mirror Knight]
I felt a flare of power for a brief time. The intensity of the aura was far beyond anything I had felt from any other living being. It was most certainly one of my targets. With no time to waste, I used fire magic to rocket myself towards the source. Midway through the flight there, however, the aura disappeared. Despite this, I kept flying towards the source - perhaps I could find a different target on the way, or pick up on the trail.
My captor decided to release my Arcoli after being satisfied that I learned not to try anything. The feeling of getting an idea for what to have said during a debate after it's over is nearly exactly what I had been feeling then. During the duel, I could have simply used Godspeed to defeat each opponent within the frame of a second. I could have evened the odds a bit more using clones. Regardless, I didn't do either of those and had ended up getting captured as punishment for not utilizing all of my techniques. What good is it to know so much about magic if I never used it? The other Jurors had gone south to help with the invasion, which scared me. I had only recently instructed the group I liked to keep my eye on to go that way. Three jurors, while I had told them only one.
"We need to get out of here, now." I barked, feeling an odd sensation. The aura of the Mirror Knight was always weird, since it simply reflected those around it and accumulated some of the energy from it's previous targets. My energy burst might have attracted it's attention. "I could take it out if I had all of my strength, but since all of that mana just got defused by you, I can't fight."
"Rule number one: You belong to me now, so I give the orders." She replied, with sass. There was a slight uneasiness in her voice. "However, I'll let it slide this time." Andromeda grabbed my wrist, then lead me toward a helicopter hidden between a giant pile of sand and a building made of ice. The once holy city had been destroyed. The pilot was already prepping for flight, so the two of us got on and the vehicle whirred to life. "You may address me as Master, Mistress, and Ma'am, nothing more nor less." She added, which I found quite bothersome. Another person with a pride issue. I only had room for one ego in my life and that's mine. Either way, I simply shrugged and drifted off to sleep. I could no longer worry about the group's safety, since mine was now on the line.
I peered at him questionably. "Maybe. Is she not coming? Because I am ready to bomb these b*stards (bistards). Who are you?" I don't know why I asked that. A curtsy, maybe? I had read this man's profile thoroughly. Well, I might have skimmed - or passed out after ninety six hours of pure *insert television corporation* and chill. So, I knew his name, at least.
I didn't man to be rude, but these warships were going to notice us any second. And I really didn't want their attention. While my superiors had reported only two warships, their were thrice that. Each was almost twenty meters long from naval to tail, and about eight meters side-to-side. The distinct hue of Orichalcum was visible on their hulls, but it had very obviously been blended with a more easily forged alloy, perhaps a titanium-steel hybrid.
That was five of them, but the sixth was the worst. It was approaching twice as long, a solid 60 meters across. Not only that, it was armed to the teeth. Multiple plates were visible along the ebony hull, obviously stuffed with more guns than my closet. And THAT'S saying something. If you looked at the nasal of the ship, you could see a bright-blue arrow-head covering the front.
That was the worst of it all. That was a Lunarium field –– perhaps the most powerful shield aside from the alloy composing my arm. It exploited the naturally odd curvature of the electromagnetic charge of Lunarium, forming what could best be described as a magic-absorbing force-field. I won't go into detail, but let's just say the only way to bypass the field is either via remote detonation or by disabling the Lunarium. So, considering the fact that these massive beasts were looking over us, I figured we couldn't really wait. "Well, never mind. Your name is Rani. And I can't wait on Demetria any longer, so would you be so kind as to assist me in the destruction of this fleet? BTW it's not creepy I know your name. I'm a GOVERNMENT agent."
[Alice]
"Thanks." For a few minutes, I just basked in the comfort of my first and only friend, disseminating any remaining sadness even more-so than it already is. But then, a tiny pulse of energy from nearby alerted my senses. Immediately on-guard, I retracted from Ivan's warmth and took in my surroundings. There was a building nearby where the pulse was released, and I could see the outline of a shadow from behind it.
Looking to Ivan, I nodded. With utmost care, I crept about ten feet towards it, before it leaped out. Before, I could tell from the outline of the shadow our suspect was a male. But this only confirmed it. Not only that, but this is the guy from earlier! My lips drew back as my pearlescent teeth took the most menacing pose possible at the moment. I stiffened up, and my knuckles were clenching hard enough for blood to be trickling softly onto the snow below. But then, I relaxed. My position slid into a casual demeanor, and my visage flipped from a growl to a grin of gratitude. "Thank you for saving my life, sir." He smiled and nodded as he approached.
((Hey everyone I'm back......so yeah sorry for going off the grid for a while some things led to some other things and I ended up with a smashed laptop. I understand if it's too late for me to get back into this rp but if it isn't can someone gives me a quick rundown of the current plot?))

1 Year ago the military was on the losing side of the war. All seemed bleak until one soldier brought a penguin in to training. They had trained that penguin in the use of explosives and sent him out into the field. They had thought that they had won but the agent went rouge. Now he only lives on as a legend, the legend of ShotgunPenguin.
((Well, there was a time skip from after the tournament. Sinbad was frozen over, and Eternia declared war with Caelum. This place has no magic, instead basically being Akame Ga Kill. Tobias has all of the characters grouping at Sinbad. Currently a Caelum fleet is freezing another city. You can probably find the group at Sinbad, and then come pick up the few of us that split off. That's just my new character, Rani, Brom, and Demetria. So yeah, that's pretty much it.
Also, did some of Ronin's posts get deleted? I could've sworn he just posted some stuff with the Mirror Knight.))
Tobias pulled a crazy power play in the tournament by draining the participant's magic. Despite most of the gang's enraged attempt to stop Tobias, Tobias killed Titaint with a little assistance from Zicka (who was killed) and Garrett. Demi then forced Tobias through the Aerial Barrier, which took away a significant portion of his power.
Fast forward one month. The group has split up. The country of Caelum declared war on Eternia, and the city of Sinbad gets frozen over. Upon Demi's request, Ivan contacts everyone to rendevous in the destroyed city. Alice tried and failed to kill herself, and Ivan talked some sense into her. Additionally, a mysterious threat known as the Mirror Knight has shown up, and beat the schnoz out of Garrett.
Also, I don't think Ronin's posts got deleted - I didn't see any posts of the sort.))
((Alright I'll just wait for Ninjas decision then.))

(( Kumquat and Mad Man pretty much summed it all up. Of course you're welcome to hop in at any time, there's never going to be a time nor place where I'd say otherwise to you. If you want to jump in, there are a couple options. You could meet up with the gang in Sinbad, the now frozen but former capital of the Eastern Region. You could, alternatively, have a reunion toward the Southern Archipelagos, where a fleet of six warships has docked. If you don't feel that either of these options is suitable, you can always get a phone call from Rykov Industries (pretty sure that's what it's called) regarding recent events. ))
((Alright I think I'll go for the southern Archipelagos, who's there already?))

"Is it just me, or does it seem like every since that tournament weird things have been happening to us?" I asked Ordis who sat on the bench besides me. "And what makes you think that Lucy?" He asked while readjusting his sunglasses. "Well maybe it's just me, but I think a giant fleet of warships coming towards us would classify as 'weird', don't you think?" I said with a small bit of sarcasm laced in while pointing at the approaching warships. Ordis scratched the back of his head before getting up from the bench and saying "Sarcasm doesn't suit you Lucy." He started to walk off towards the warships before I could retort, so with a pout I got up and followed him.
After that event at the tournament me and Ordis hightailed it out of there. Even if we wanted to help we'd probably just get in the others way. In the month that followed we decided that we'd need to get stronger if we ever wanted to survive if a similar event happened. I had begun to research defensive magics that would create a sort of shield around me that could blunt sharp objects such as swords, knives and even bullets. However this shield draws from my own magic so each hit will diminish my supply. I had also discarded my cudgel in favor of a more defensive approach of a collapsible Heater shield that also served as a scabbard for my gladius.
Ordis had also made a few modifications to himself. He had replaced all of his limbs with more durable versions and had even installed a few extra surprises installed. Also after I had kept bugging him on his lack of melee combat options he agreed to carry a melee weapon, which so happened to be my old cudgel. He also added a red flannel shirt to his wardrobe to cover his arms.
We were currently stopping in the Southern Archipelagos before we planned to head out once again. Anyway we had just got done with a training session and had decided to take a break on a park bench when the ships appeared. Now I wasn't an expert but a bunch of warships suddenly appearing in a short amount of time could only mean one thing. Some serious business was about to go down
As we got closer to the warships we started seeing military presence as the warships docked at the coast. A group of soldiers were going from door to door and were dragging out all that were unfortunate enough to be found. Feeling my blood start to pump I drew my sword and extended my shield as Ordis readied his rifle. With a quick nod Ordis fired a shot into the shoulder of one of the soldiers causing him to scream out in pain.
As his buddies turned to face their attacker I rushed in with my shield in front of me. The soldiers quickly turned their weapons on me and fired off a panicked burst from their guns. The bullets ricocheted off of my shield as I closed the distance between us. Planting my foot firmly on the ground I brought my shield up into one of the soldiers jaw before using my sword to slash at the chest of the other soldier. He screamed as a spurt of blood came out as he fell backwards. Running up to him I deliver a swift kick to his head, knocking him out cold. “Ordis take the high ground and cover me.” Ordis nodded as a feint blue light shone from his legs as he jumped up to the rooftop of a nearby building. After he did that I stated to make my way towards the coast.
[Ordis]
After I had jumped to the roof of the building I took position so that I could cover Lucy on her advance. I followed her through my scope before she was out of my view. Getting a running start I jumped across to the next building’s roof and once again took position. There was a strange lack of guards as Lucy rounded a corner of a building. Jumping to the next roof once again I’m puzzled and shocked to find an unconscious man up on the roof. Upon further inspection I realized that this was the guy that I met in the hotel, Garret.
Pressing a finger to my ear I trigger the small earpiece that was inside of it to connect me to Lucy, who had a similar earpiece. “Hey Lucy I found a guy from the tournament unconscious on a rooftop. Will you be okay if I stay with him and make sure he’s okay?” I asked and waited for an answer. “Yeah sure, by the way do you remember that guy you fought in the tournament, Rani?” She stopped before continuing “Because I just spotted him heading towards the warships. I’m going to try and flag him down and get some answers.” The earpiece went silent before I heard Lucy yell “HEY RANI WAIT UP!” Cringing at the volume of her yell I turned off my earpiece and turned my attention back to Garret. “Hey Garret, are you okay?” I asked as I leaned over him. “Also are you alive?” I said while lightly kicking him In the shoulder.

Brom waited enough to get some of his magic stores back. He risked a magic radar to see how Tobias was doing. The girl Brom was chasing had stopped, and the lightning god seemed to have disappeared. Could he be dead? Could he be hiding? Brom decided it was likely the latter and headed south, walking, letting his magic restore. Even if Tobias died, Brom knew he shouldnt go after the people he was attacking. When gods clash, mortals must stay out of the fray, Brom told himself. And fighting against two "Jurors" or whoever they were with himself and that girl seemed reckless, considering that one froze over a whole city without batting an eyelash.

Puella Magi Madoka Magicka is an awesome, feel-good, cutesy anime. You should watch it!
Well, that guy's full of surprises. Didn't really peg him for a loose cannon. Oh well. While he deals with the troops, I might as well take out a ship or two. I felt the cyan sheet of magic around me pool in my palm, and I proceeded to aim right at one of the ships. I fired, a deep navy bolt arching through the air before slamming right into the side of the hull.
It immediately bled into the metallic exoskeleton, tracing a transmutation circle onto the ship itself. "Nadir." I giddily whispered, too low for most to hear. The ship seemed to slow down a bit, before screeching to a halt in mid-air. The sudden screech of metal almost popped my eardrum, but I fortunately cast a deafening hex on both I and Rani.
The transmutation circle suddenly shattered, it's brief uniformity cast into total anarchy as the chalk veered about in a chaotic and eldritch manner. Two chalk lines slammed into each other, and a flare of electricity arced through the air, electrocuting three troops down below. I grinned with satisfaction as more bolts haphazardly harassed the armada below. It would happen soon. And then, it did. The metal hull, Orichalcum infused or not, couldn't withstand the arcane barrage I was sending its' way. It collapsed inward, and soon after screams could be heard as the ship hurtled towards the ground. The water molecules in the air froze around it, forming a sort of glacier-bullet the size of a hotel that collapsed into a building nearby.
Debris flung everywhere. Again, I shielded my comrades with some good ol' repulsion fields. However, the army wasn't so lucky. The wails of the fallen echoed throughout the clearing, and I spent a moment to lament such an unnecessary loss of life. However, I quickly recuperated. Such was necessary during war. I'd have time to mourn and grieve later.
Almost under my breath, I murmured "Zenith." Fire swirled around me, first a bloody Crimson, then an opaque white, and finally an aquatic blue. The flames suspended upon this conversion to blue, and their curling tendrils appeared almost cephalopodian with their tentacles of raw heat. I glanced at another warship, and a mischievous smirk split my cheeks.
The flames pooled into my right hand with extraneous speed, slithering through the air like a mass of writhing snakes. My palm was illuminated with holy ivory energy, before pouring into my thumb and middle finger. With a quick snap, the world was alit with my power. A small orb, maybe the size of a softball, fell from the heavens. It's deep orange coloration vibrated with pure energy, and I panted from the exertion. The moment it made contact, the metal exterior vaporized. I gasped a bit, I didn't expect it to react so violently! After a moment's pause, I snapped again. Shrapnel burst from the interior, leaving molten metal in its wake. The ship careened off its course, zipping through the air like an untied balloon. The scent of sulfur filled my nostrils as the battalion slowly dissolved in the air.
It would've fallen to the ground minutes ago, but I had other plans. With more exertion than necessary, I gasped out "Meridian." A glow pulsed throughout the area, and the molten ball of steel and Orichalcum swirled above like a shark circling its' prey. With a third and final snap, the molten metal rained from above in tides of death and desolation. It swamped the end of the militia, a slow and painful death to those nearby.
Guiding the metal with my hands, I caught dozens in the snare of my spell, quickly overcoming the Third Legion and quickly spreading outwards in a dance of despair. With a gasp for air, I slid to the ground. I needed a second to recuperate. Celestial Meridian was the strongest spell I could perform with the Fields of Avalon, and even now it leaves me on the verge of collapse. Shakily, I crawled to my feet. I should probably guard Garrett while Rani's off killing the remaining soldiers. I had only taken a slice of the cake, the rest to be served to my compatriot down below. So, I painstakingly climbed my way to Garrett's location. I set up an alarm for if anybody comes within twenty feet, before sitting on the ground to meditate. I needed to regain my strength.
((Garrett got carried out by Rani. Also, the Rykov company name is Rykov Robotics, but it's not really that important.))
[The Mirror Knight]
As I tracked down the last known location of my primary target, I picked up on another trail - the escaped target I tried to kill earlier. I decided that, rather than chase someone who is likely long gone, I would finish up the job I started earlier. That way, I wouldn't have to worry about battling him again once he was at full strength. Giving up on hunting the other for the moment, I changed course and continued forward.
[Ivan]
I immediately grew wary as Alice cautiously withdrew from me. As it would turn out, I had been too focused on Alice to notice that Bloodhound and Vise were also on guard. The attention of all three was focused on one spot. Looking in the same direction, I saw that the shadow of the building wasn't quite right. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the hidden one was, in fact, Vlad.
"You came back?" I addressed Vlad. "Well, I'm glad it's you and not someone else."
[Garrett]
I awoke to a familiar voice when physically jerked. Rather than slung over Rani's shoulder, I lay on the ground. Though still not quite at full strength, I was much better off than I had been previously. Without sitting up, I looked around to get my bearings. It seemed I was on the roof of a building, with Iris off to one side and Ordis off to the other. I was about to greet him when I suddenly became aware of an imminent threat.
"Move!" I yelled as I scrambled out of the way seconds before a fireball containing the one who attacked me before came crashing down onto the roof. I pulled my sword off my back. I had powerful allies this time around, but there was no way that this person had chosen to attack without knowing the fact. Despite my backup, my attacker was confident enough in his abilities to attack me anyway. This was not going to be fun.
"Oh good your alive, I guess I won't have to drag you off of this roof and give you a burial then." I said to Garret as sat up from his prone position. It looked as if he was about to say hi until he suddenly yelled for us to move. Not wasting a moment I turned around and rolled away from the area we were in as I felt the building shake from an impact of some kind. Looking back I saw an unfamiliar face arise from the impact zone as Garret pulled his sword off from behind his back.
"Great not even ten minutes into this plot and I'm already thrust back into the action. Wait why did I say plot? Eh doesn't mater right now." I thought as I cautiously stepped backwards while shouldering my rifle. I wasn't confident enough to try and engage in close quarters but if I put some distance between us I should be able to provide ranged support. "You hit him up close and I'll try to take some shots if I see an opening." I quietly said to Garret as I jumped to the roof that was behind us. Taking aim with my rifle I waited for someone to make the first move. I just hoped that Lucy was having an easier time then I was.

(( Yes, yes someone can. ))

[Garrett]
There's no kill like overkill.
[Tobias]
[Iris]
((I'll give a more story-oriented summary.
There's no kill like overkill.
((Alright so here I go))
[Lucy]
[Iris]
(( Unless I haven't been paying attention, Garrett is still in Sinbad. ))
There's no kill like overkill.
[Ordis]
