Falker knew the smell that filled his nostrils. Fear, these two had no chance against four large raptors like themselves. He had killed their kind before, and while they were strong, Dilos lacked the agility of a raptor. This would be no problem. He crouched, bared his teeth, and was prepared to pounce.
"Hold." Talon said firmly.
"You heard me." He replied. "You two, you have no chance at taking down one of us, let alone four. Retreat now or take the risk of mortal injury or death."
"That rioght, We'll rip ya limb from limb!" Blaine said, licking his chops and staring at the two dinosaurs in front of him.
"I know you don't want this, take my mercy and leave, now." Talon said again, muscles tightening.
"Stop! There will be no need!" A voice commanded.
Talon looked away from his adversaries to spot a Troodon atop a great mossy boulder. He knew he had seen her before.
"You, you're Scarlet, one of Loki's worst cronies."
"And you are Talon, Utahraptor, alien to this land and dead for the last few seasons."
"What do you want? If you're not here to stop Set, then get out of my way."
"Now,now, that is no way to talk to a fellow rebel now is it? I'm here to fight to, this is my island after all."
"Dead or a general by this point, I'm not really sure."
"Really? I thought he was to self righteous and prideful to be under a command. Perhaps Set has saved me the trouble."
"Alright, enough." Scarlet added quickly. "I'm done talking about him. Do you promise to remain my ally, until this is over?"
Talon thought it over, she was almost as bad as Loki, but a bit less tricky...
"I think it would prove to be quite good for us ol boy." An accented voice said from behind.
Talon whirled around to spot Sherlock, followed by Sheira coming from the brush. "Stand down!" He ordered, noticing Blaine ready to pounce.
"How bloody many people does he know?" The achillobator asked himself.
Sheira was silent, she only walked to Talon and embraced him. It had been far too long, too long to not cry.
"How-How are you alive?" Sheira asked through the tears of joy.
"Well you know me, nine lives, like a Vintana." Talon said, squeezing her before releasing.
"I'd imagine that is a long story for another time." Sherlock said, winking at Talon. His tenacity was incredible, almost as if there was a divine interference.
Scarlet looked down at the happy reunion. Slightly overwhelmed, she began to speak again. "Are you going to accept my offer or not?"
Talon looked at her again, confident. "Well, I don't have much of a choice if I want to kill Set, so I guess I am."
Red, Crusher, and Chippy spy on them from a distance away, behind a large bush.
"Wait... is that... a UTAHRAPTOR!?", whispered Red.
"I thought he died!", pondered Crusher.
"Oh, boy; he's back!", silently exclaimed Chippy.
"Well, anyways. You two are going to see what's going on between those guys, and then report back to everyone else. Meanwhile, I'll sneak back to where I last left off. Understood?", asked Red.
"Understood.", answered Chippy and Crusher.
While Red ran into the undergrowth, Chippy and Crusher went back to looking at Talon, Scarlet, Sherlock, Sheira, Snips, Snaps, Blaine, and Falker. Snips and Snaps were still threatening the others, who just ignored them, talking about their plans to overthrow Set. Of course, it was somewhat hard to understand, due to the fact that Snips and Snaps were talking a little louder than the others, but the 3 coelurosaurs grasped the core idea of the plan.
"Ah, in such a desperate situation, we must group together to fight a common enemy, no?", a voice said behind Chippy, startling him.
Thoth continued to sit upon the spine of the great beast, Titanis, as he walked thunderously, yet swiftly, too, along the old, worn, forest ground. Trees crunched as he shouldered them aside. How such a great beast had come to be present in this world was unfathomable, and how it had come to be defeated on more than one occasion was equally inconceivable. It was a testament to the strength and the strangeness of Terratan, but also to the power and villainy inherent in the one beast capable of killing Titanis. Thoth could only hope that when the time came, he would not be stuck in the middle of a conflict between the two most powerful creatures he had ever known.
Powerful in brute strength, of course. There were other creatures who outshone these crocodylomorphs in terms of their innate power... the dark-souled Loki, the ravenous Set. How horrifying this world truly was.
"My lord, the rebellion has been thoroughly crushed. All of our spies are reporting that what was left of the resisting force has either fled or diminished itself into the stew of docile residents. It seems that the death of the traitorous scientist might have caused the rabble to lose faith in their false hopes."
"Do you have any orders?"
He did not at the moment, no. He was considering them, though. Who would he leave behind to rule here? Who would he send forth on his next conquest? Clearly he was done. He would hand over control of his empire to Nephthys, or some other traitorous creature. That could have been Loki, if the fool had played the game correctly and had not been so set on a rebellion. He had once assumed that the Troodon was smart; now, he saw him as nothing more than misguided.
There had been no word of Shogun's losses and successes. Gaul had sent messengers saying that the army was successful, but had said nothing of the commander he had sent. Perhaps Gaul had taken over the force. If Shogun had died in battle, he would be fine with Gaul's succession to command, but he could not tolerate an uprising against one of his own commanders. Rebellion - successful rebellion - set such a bad precedent.
Sherlock looked around at the happy reunion. All seemed well, but he felt... distant. He was here to liberate this island, right? Why was he here? He had a home elsewhere, somewhere hidden and safe. Why was he here? Sheria. Sheria was intelligent, strong, quick witted and strong willed. He was staying for her, he decided.
But did she care about him as much?
She must have. When he was injured following the death of Commander Toric, she stayed and healed him. Now it was time to return the favor. He began thinking of tactics to take down Set, once and for all.

I wish I had spelled my name right all that time ago...
Use the Ring Luke, he who controls the Ring controls the raptors~ Dumbledore
Thoth, Nephthys, Sobek, Korogan, Set, Iapetus, Sekhmet, Gor, Illora (She's still alive, right?), Kokorat, Herkul, and, of course, Loki. Oh, and Gaea. (Plus, eventually, Hapy) They won't all be there at the start, but they will all take part in the battle. Also, does anyone remember what (if anything) happened to Khepri, the Guanlong whose name was originally Apollo?
EDIT: Found it, he died. Also, Odin and Skandros will not be in this battle, though they may feature later on. As well, on second thought, I am reconsidering Nephthys' presence in the battle, but I expect that she will be there. I hope that I didn't miss anyone. (Also, Illora is alive. Just checked.)
I come with sad news, after a hard drive failure, the admin of this page has forgotten his password and can't get in to admin it. However, I, the ghost servant of many years past, have come to you to inform you that a post is on the way and that the role play shall not die alone.
Sherlock approached Talon, a bit of apprehension in the air.
"Talon, you know they have me come to find you once-"
"And you never leave." Talon said playfully. "Thanks for taking care of Sheira while I was gone."
"On the contrary, she was the one who saved me. After my run in with Toric I-"
"You killed Commander Toric?"
"Indeed, he was quite a problem. Most of Set's generals have been killed, a few remain, but not here, He is nearly alone now, save for his lower troops." Sherlock said, looking around. "Moonfire, Sheira, myself, no doubt Red and his group, where they might have been, have been beating them back."
"Don't forget Thoth!" Moonfire said happily. "He's been really brave through all this."
Scarlet was getting tired of this, there was a war to be won. But, her front line would hold, for now. Let them boost moral, they would need it.
