But before that, try to see if the river water is drinkable. Cup your hands to get water out of the river and use the tuque to filter it (after washing it thoroughly, of course) and then hold a little in your mouth to see if it tastes funny. Then swallow a little bit to check for negative side effects.

The water is extremely filthy, definitely not drinkable. The water is also too dirty for any type of live to live in it.

If we are going to do that, no need to mix. There is plenty of mud on the banks Im sure...

After putting the mud on the shirt, continue going towards the cornucopia slowly, being careful to not make too much noise. And if we hear another tribute, hide in a nearby bush/tree/tall grass.

The mud just slips off your shirt, leaving a small trail behind. Swiping your hand across the trail, it falls off with little effort.

There are no vines.

Continue walking towards the cornucopia while staying in the shrubbery/bushes. if we see another tribute, carefully sneak up behind them and then bring our axe down on their head!
