I used to have trouble closing doors in real life, but now I always do because I'm scared of mobs coming in :[

I play minecraft so much that the game can't even properly show my statistics:
(the screenshots I normally show are from a modded client which patched the overflow error with the correct distance being about 26,488 km, more than twice the distance to the old Far Lands)
Also, when you could legitimately claim to have set a world record for something in the game (like the amount of caves I've explored; even in a single session I probably do more caving than the vast majority of players will ever do).
Of course, this is more of a product of consistently playing the game for over a decade than spending all day long playing.

Ever heard of copying files to another computer? Or do you just abandon them? As noted here I'm VERY careful with my important files, with multiple copies, including the stats files (which are saved separate from the world itself prior to 1.7; as such, I've even modified the game so it saves the files under a different name from vanilla / other modded versions, and make sure to use separate game directories. Granted, it is possible I didn't do this very early on as several things about the statistics for my first world are notably different from newer worlds which started from scratch, e.g. the average number of ores mined per play session/hour is noticeably lower than what I've regularly gotten get since I added per-session stats, or I really didn't start caving all the time for longer than I've thought, 1-2 months is still enough to have a noticeable impact, and/or my average rate increased over time. Nor is the number of deaths accurate since pre-1.6 versions didn't record it, or worlds created (I actually fixed this by creating a world after I fixed the game's stats, just so it would show the "proper" number. The "distance flown" stat is way too low since I again patched the game to not record e.g. time in the air after jumping as flying (the first couple seconds goes to distance walked, otherwise it is ignored unless actually flying), ironically, because people accused me of going into Creative, all later worlds have zero for this).

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
No way you've had the same pc that long
