They are a murderer who escaped from prison 18 months ago.
They killed their abusive ex.
There is a $100,000 dollar or (insert your currency here) reward.
What do you do?
Your topics are building up a terrifying picture of you in my mind. A pale, blood-drinking man with a girlfriend from the military who was in a mutilating accident, and now she or someone else you dated is a murderer. I hope I never meet you, OP.
You almost described me, except for the blood drinking and mutilated girlfriend part. Dont wipe off blood steins (not mine :biggrin.gif:) from your armor.
I wouldnt turn her in unless we formulated a plan to break her out with the money. World domination is coming... that 100k would let me complete my Mk-2 Reaper Tank.

You can't really tell what you'd do in the future unless you are a stubborn mule or pious.
Yes, the "right" answer would be to turn them in, refuse the reward and be happy you helped out society by getting someone "bad" back behind bars.
In reality? Its usually a different story, again my motto "you can never know everything about someones situation, unless you ARE them"
The law is the law and doesn't take for inidividual circumstances. So what if they were constantly abused throughout the whole of the relationship? What the if person tried to kill them, but at the last second you bf/gf managed to turn the knife around and get them instead, creating "self-defense", what if police effed up and instead of slef-defense it just came out as a simple killing? What if the person is in a capital offence state and they were on death row? What if the only way to get proof was to get out of jail and get evidence?
There's too many what if's to come up with an answer. Its one thing for the courts to stuff up and send an innocent person to their death, quite another for that innocent person to ask for your help and you just drag them back, that would be aiding in an innocents death.
So, in short my answer would be: I don't know till it happens.

This. If they got out once, they can do it again, especially if they have someone on the outside.
I'm quite the shady customer.

I agree ^
1) Get $100k
2) Get murdered
Tough choice, bro.
YUM YUM YUM!
If it would be self defense, i'd stay with her.
Considering she's killed someone, something is right in her head.
That she escaped from prison is even scarier.
If you turn her in, odds are she will hunt you.
Sides, it's been 3 months, if it hasn't failed yet maybe you arn't TOTALLY crazy for dating a murderer.

If i'd been dating for that long, i'd keep it going.
