You lift the cover of the red button and press it. Suddenly, your chair is rocketed up and out of the 'mech's shattered body.
Shortly after you eject, your battered 'mech begins to glow, and soon after explodes in a blinding wave of light.
The two 'mechs turn and begin walking away. On the horizon, you can see the flashes and glows of battle.
The static in your helmet stabilizes enough for you to make out bits and pieces of the conversation. It's the central command operator from whomever you're fighting for ordering a full retreat whilst the surviving pilots argue and resist.
You touch down softly, the parachute on the ejection seat slowing your fall enough to be survivable.
The chair has some light survival rations, a map of the general area, and a knife.
Also on the chair is some sort of transmitter. It emits a regular "beep". it's hard-bolted into the chair, so no hope of getting it loose and carrying it with you.
Try to find cover nearby the chair and wait for rescue. If there isn't any cover, get away until you can find some and take anything you can lift with you.
Wait behind rocks for a search party to come nearby since the beeping on the chair was probably a homing beacon. When a search party comes nearby, use the radio to describe the search party and see if it's friendly. If the radio isn't two way, try to identify them if possible by the color scheme of the people versus the two mechs that shot you before.
(I forgot to save the .pdn for the rock formation, so I just edited the hill)
You take cover.
Off in the distance, you see a strange, spherical craft rise from the ground. It's massive, much larger than any of these legged vehicles you've referred to as "'mechs"
Suddenly, a missile streaks for the craft. In an instant, it's consumed in flames.
You vaguely recollect that this craft is a DropShip, an aerospace craft designed to deliver troops and vehicles to the battlefield.
look in cockpit for weapon first.

Shoot our finger gun at enemy mechs as we fall.
But before you leave, check the chair for any stored rations or equipment.

You try with all your might, but the chair remains stubbornly whole. You'd need a mechanic's toolkit to take this thing apart.
Nearby is a small cluster of rocks. It may be wise to take shelter in them.
The pilots on your radio begin reporting they've ejected, and giving their positions. A few of them are cut short by what can only be gunfire.
You approach the rocks.
So far, nothing out of the ordinary.
No, it's a TimberWolf/Madcat from the BattleTech/MechWarrior universe.
You throw some dirt at the rocks. Nothing happens.
