The point of that rhetorical question is that the forum layout provides you with easier ways to access things that you rarely do, instead of providing you with easier ways to access things that you often do...
Maybe the best thing here would be to enable users to customize their drop down menu? Customize is always good as it magically caters for everyone's needs.

Ii also had one involving a mannequin in my bed, falling off. I look and it is under the covers. I pull it's leg and it's bloody and the rest of the mannequin was gone. I ran yelling "MOM", all the way to the door, and the second I touched the door I woke up. Still nighttime.
