The character lists are voted for each round. Saves are done as everyone else has been doing them, and save requirements are how many saves are required to save a character. However, save limits are limitations on how many times one poster can save the same character. Anyone can join in at any time, but can only contribute characters and arenas between matches.

You vote for characters who you want to get into the next round, and the last one standing wins. Right now, a character needs two 'saves' to be in the clear, but you can't vote for the same character twice in one round, so two people need to vote for them. The round goes on until only one character doesn't have to saves, and then that character is eliminated and it starts over.

Essentially, you're just voting for your favourite characters, but instead of the most popular winning, the least popular is knocked out.
