Greninja attacks right after Shepard kills Link with a Night Slash

One Villain (presumably) eliminated, Shepard turns to his next foe and unleashes many a fury upon Greninja.

Guys. Shepard didn't kill Link just now. I swear I'm not crazy. I made a program and everything:

It doesn't matter anyway since Sheppard's attack and Commando's shoddy counting was promptly followed up by Greninja. RIP Link.

Greninja has next to no hope now, though. His power is useless at this point and Shepard's health recovery is way stronger in this situation. We can accept this fate... or we can birth a legend. Against all odds, Greninja must prevail - I challenge you, forum arena, to make this happen.

Now, my friends, let me plead the case of Shepard.

In this game, Shepard is truly the underdog. He has not had the undying support of any patron of the arena. He has not had the honour of representing a franchise as popular as Pokemon, Mario, or the Legend of Link. Look at the first round, and recognize that Shepard was the last character to be saved - and even that salvation was debated at length! Think of how this character was targeted when the final round began - Shepard was nearly the first to fall! It was only by chance - might we call it divine intervention - that this character was given such a powerful tool with which he has managed to survive thus far. Think of how Shepard sometimes only made it through a round because it was deemed impossible that he could win! You may look now and see a character whose victory seems inevitable, but remember where Shepard's story began. Do not forget what he has fought against to gain this power!

Shepard's is the hero's story. He begins as a character struggling against adversity, fighting tooth and nail to narrowly slide through each round. Over time, he begins to experience hardship - adversity! He fights, and by sheer will (both his own and the gods') he gains the power to defeat his antagonists - to vanquish his problems. Is he an underdog now? Perhaps not - but that is what happens when an underdog beats the odds. Join Shepard, and finish his story. This is the denouement, the conclusion to the story. The underdog is on the verge of his well-deserved and hard-earned victory. Help him to succeed.

Well, since Link is dead I'm going for Greninja.

Shepard slings injuries towards Greninja; at least one latches on.

OT: You know, the biggest thing here is that Shepard heals twice for every hit Greninja gets in. Which makes him very hard to kill now. And I dunno who to vote for so I'll wait a bit.
