I don't mind the combat, I think it would be cool to see adventures that are non-combat like exploration and such, since my characters have only really stayed in the northeast area recently, maybe when the sky barrier is broken in the far future we can travel to the moons, that would be interesting. I would also like to see technology but not on the scale of nations. Or massive wars like in the box. Mazes somehow added and when you finish you get a reward?
Mazes might become a thing, I'll think about it. Implementing it is difficult though.
For alternative to combat, there could be an economy simulator like spending a large investment for opening a business for example.
That could be something, but I''ll think about it.
My biggest concern is the fact that there is almost no interaction between people lately, just combat. Combat, Combat any almost nothing else. This might also be the reason why some people have been very inactive lately.
I'd prefer to find a in-between. Combat & Interaction. One way to achieve this is by taking combat to PMs, and to only use a post to start and one to end combat.
I've put up a Poll, by the way.

Maybe because we're separated from the region at the early stage? Doesn't know what to do in this world other than gaining money? Other RPers inactive because they didn't know how to interact with someone and have no idea how? (I'm already tried this on Scorpionius at the box before in order to give him more vigorously attention by adding a Vision Concept as a side protagonist, ??? was planned to be evil, etc.)

So you're saying that the problem lies in the size of the Valley, as you can't quickly get to someone to interact with them? That might be the case, actually.
I doubt the 'not knowing what to do', since you can do just about anything, as long as you don't take it too far. And not knowing how to interact with others might be the case sometimes, but not always.
I'd like to hear the opinions of others too, but they're not online atm. Will post on the valley to get their attention though.
Space Travel is not happening anytime soon, more advanced technology? Maybe.
As for increasing size by including an ocean, I might decide to include a huge ocean-esque lake that is still within a/the valley, so the Title stays correct (Possibly with another continent on the other side)
More biomes like swamps, large forests, areas with no atmosphere (like the moon or mars) ? More skyworlds, underworld, and possibly another dimension?
There are a few problems with that:
1. If I wish to add new areas, I need graphics for it, and I am severely limited in that field. The best I can do is use paint.net and Painterly tiles to make tilesets, but I'm not sure whether that'd look good.
2. The bigger the map/amount of maps, the more work it is for me to make them. Designing them is not an issue, but the problem is turning those maps into .png files to post them here, that takes a lot of time & effort.
3. The problem is that if the map is too big, it becomes more difficult to have your characters interact with others. Especially if they are on another continent, or in another dimension.
Who says the other dimensions have to be the same size as the valley? Maybe the other dimensions could be like 1/2 or 1/4 maybe even 1/6 the size of the valley. You could add on other biomes to be their own dimension and have some sort of a portal to reach it. Or portals to reach parts of the valley so characters don't have to walk/ride so far.
Another way to make it easier is if I set the scale of the map smaller, that way more map fits in less space, but it loses a lot of the details. Tiles are 32x32 on mapscale 1/1, 16x16 on 1/2, etc.
The program that you are showing looks okay.... is there another program you could use for maps?
I could. There's Battle For Wesnoth that has a nice map editor. RPG Manager Demo, Donjon has a nice world generator. But there's a few problems with these:
Donjon gives me little to no control over what the world would look like. I can set some parameters and then it generates the map. But I have no influence on it afterward.
RPG Manager's maps have very little detail.
Battle for Wesnoth is good, but this one has the same problem as RPG Maker (The one I currently use), which is that it takes forever to turn the map into an image.
None of these use square tiles, while RPG Maker does.
There's also OpenTTD. I can make map-sized screenshots of those instantly, but it's an isometric view, and it's a Transport Tycoon game, so yeah.
If it would be possible make a map of the valley with tiled and then compare the 2 maps and see which we like best, if tiled is the thing you want to use, go for it. We could say goodbye to RPG Maker, but I like the look of the maps.
RPG Maker maps look way better than Tiled. But Tiled has it's advantages as well. I'm keeping the Valley's size as-is for now, while I compare Tiled & RPG Maker to see which I like best.
I would like to see the following. Moon biome,Mars biome, large ocean to the south, continent on other side with the Brell, Maybe other dimensions.
That will all come later. You're also forgetting the problem that I don't have the graphics to make an area that resembles a moon.
Also, a Moon biome would make no sense, but whatever.

Like I said, I can't, because I have no graphics that resemble some of those. A Swamp & More Snow are possible, but a Moon or Mars is not. Also partially because it makes no sense.
6th post in a row.... I guess it's okay here since this a discussion/information topic.
Anyway!
In my opinion the Valley is becoming a bit too combat-orientated, and that wasn't really my original idea.
What are the opinions of others on this?

So, if people who participate in the Valley could fill this in and post this here, that'd be great:
Is the Valley becoming too combat-oriented (Too much combat, too little else)? Yes/No
Is there nothing to do in the valley? Yes/No
Is the Valley too big to allow easy interaction between Characters? Yes/No
Is the Valley too small (adding this just to know people's opinions)? Yes/No
Is there anything else that can/should be changed? If Yes, what?:
So, are Carthropods the highest-tech things in this valley? How did they get here? Did they travel through time or another dimension?
Hello
Basically yeah, I don't have a backstory as to how they got here though...
Space Travel is not happening anytime soon, more advanced technology? Maybe.

This is the Default Tileset, the one I used for the Box & The Valley (Excluding objects like villages & Such)
Coloured Text corresponds with the Coloured Boxes around Terrain
As you can see, I don't have too much options...

Alright. The next best thing is Tiled. RPG Maker maps look way better, but Tiled allows me to use images as tiles, and export the map directly to .png
I'll try around for a bit.
Here is a map I made in Tiled, export to .png with a single button click.
I'll probably make my own tiles for it though.
Tiled makes exporting maps easier, but it doesn't look as good as RPG Maker does.

WAIT
I JUST FOUND THIS
Imma test this. If this works, making maps is going to be WAY easier
Alright.
Mapshot Works.
I am now able to make maps that are up to 97825 tiles big.
The Valley is 100x100 tiles.
Now I can easily increase the size. The only problem for making more regions is lack of graphics for different style regions.
But that's not as important.
Here is an example.
A simple valley expansion that adds another 100x100 area that is mostly water.
This would've taken me quite a while to turn into a .png without mapshot
