Actually, the puzzle dictates that you only have time for one question. Besides which, what if the man said No to your first question? Therefor this particular logic of yours is flawed. Sorry. btw, Sparky has already given the correct answer, but alternative inventive and fun answers are always welcome.
Alright,in this case:I summon a bunch of human-flavored steaks and I throw them to the demon,so that he's busy eating.
If I must ask a question, then:I ask the man if we're in a jungle,if he says yes, then I'll summon my anti-demon Dragon, then,it'll eat that demon(or do whatever). Then,Me and that man(assuming he's good)will have enough time to get the he** outta there.
There is a simple solution to the problem. All I have to do is ask the tribe man "which way would someone from the other tribe tell me to go?" Wherever the tribe man points, I take the other path. Its a simple logic problem. Just think about it for a bit.

So, like, the Tribe of Lies would, hypothetically, be at the left and the Tribe of Truth would be at the right. If the man were from the lying tribe, he'd point to the left and you'd go to the right. If the man were from the truthful tribe, he'd point to the right, and you'd go to the left. Ah, this is much easier to understand when I type it out.
"Which path would a person from the tribe you aren't in tell me to take, if I asked which path leads to the tribe of truth?"
If the person being asked is from the tribe of truth, they would say that I would be told to take the path which leads to the tribe of lies.
If the person being asked is from the tribe of lies, they would lie about what the person from the tribe of truth would tell me, and tell me that the person from the tribe of truth would tell me to take the path leading to the tribe of lies.
This question would have the person direct me towards the tribe of lies no matter which person it is, so I know to go the opposite way and go to happy fun tribe.

Being excused will not help you get through the jungle.....

Gah! I've been Banned!Oh wait, no, it's all good now.
turn right. Not, like, the path, but into the trees and climb up as fast as I can. Let that tribe person die. I do not have sympathy for him.

Good! Another correct answer. That's three now.

I'd ask him if he has a gun and then I'd shoot the living daylights out of the demon.
Walk over to the demon and scream
"GO BACK TO HELL!!!"
Get it?
