Poll: Should I move this game to the Terraria Community Forums?
This is where most of the Destroy the Godmodder community is located, and the question has been coming up a lot. So, what do you think? Please vote, as this is very important!
Hey guys! Guess what today is? It’s definitely a big day.
Today is the first anniversary of this thread’s founding.
Yup, in just a year, we’ve come quite a way. And to think that I’ve come this far since last year’s August 29th! Most (if not all) of my other forum games haven’t gone either this far in membership, or post count, or age. As such, this is a huge achievement for me and for all of you, magnificent posters who make my stories come to life, even though some of the troubles we faced (and are sure to come!). I thank all of you guys for participating in this forum story/game and giving me some population, which I can’t do enough. Let’s hope for a bright future!
Speaking of the future…
So, we’ve passed about three and a section Episodes in a year alone. Heck, we haven’t even passed the first Act out of six yet! If we keep going at this rate, then it’ll take us 10 years (counting this one) to complete this game. However, don’t get discouraged! I’m pretty sure the first few Episodes were long and boring as I got accustomed to running this big of a game, and plus I had some personal hardships to for the game to endure as well. I’m pretty sure that we’ll storm though this game before my 10-year prediction, especially since I’ve got many issues out of the way and you all can post.
What about recently?
Well, you guys all made your posts within two days, which is great! It’s definitely better than the three days we were experiencing before. However, I expect that a lot of you will not be able to post with the new school year, and it’ll be the same with me. As such, progress may have to slow, but this is not a certainty if we all pitch in and be sure to post!
As for gameplay-wise, I’m not really sure what to do! I’ll probably set up some party-related event for you guys to get cool loot from! Any enemies that will have spawned will cease for a while to allow you guys to attack the Acolyte and do what you want while entities duke it out on the battlefield.
OOC: AAAAHHH SORRY FOR DISAPPEARING FOR SO LONG WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING!! I had to wrap up this project I was doing for community service, then I went off on a quick trip with family (where I forgot to pack my computer). Anyways, I'm back!
End of OOC.
Fanta blinked, snapping out of whatever weird trance she was in.
'Why was I thinking about gardening and car rides..?'
Mentally shrugging, the teen suddenly realized that the battle was over and her friends were getting ready to move on. She was also left with an impression that Revan was concerned about her.
'Well, I did kinda zone out in the middle of a fight...'
As she thought this, Fanta suddenly took notice of the unopened treasure chest in the room.
"OOH OOH IS THAT A CHEST??? Please tell me there was cool stuff in it! Also, I'm really sorry for zoning out earlier! That usually doesn't happen..."
Charges:
Potion Making Kit - 18/25
Assists:
OldSithRevan
It's perfectly fine! Thanks for coming back at this moment, too, since it's pretty important for the history of the thread. I'm not holding you to this thread.
"Probably not cool for you but highly useful for me."
Revan opens the Sack of Metallic Knobs showing the contents within.
"I've got an idea for this."
She then heals Fanta using the healing ring, with a staticky laugh. The speaker in her helmet clears as she continues.
"Don't worry about it, most can't even handle themselves in a fight, as long as you don't go blank on me in a high risk time we are fine."
She then nods to Fanta and heads to the Atrium.
A Symphony 20/20
A dark rift opens in front of Nyarly as flutelike instrument surfaces. Nyarly gently takes hold of it as the rift closes. He then waves his hand at his Cane causing it to dissipate into a dark smog before flowing into the flue.
Flute of the Outer Gods' Servitors
(Gen +1, the Flute can every 5-8 turns summon one of three entity based on the possosers choosing. All three entities inflict Insanity. The entities that can be summoned by the flute are
Flying Polyps: 3 Low HP, Highly Evasive, and only inflicts Insanity
Dimensonal Shambler: Normal HP and Damage but inflicts a ransom status effect along with Insanity
Shoggoth: High HP and Damage serves as a Tank, if it kills an entity it will eat it to regain HP)
Charges
(assisted by Pricey, Blinky, and Fanta)
Nyarly's Portable Workshop 18/25
Upgrades 23/25
Counter 3/20

Fanta
Fanta healed up for 4 HP!
You peek into the Atrium and open the doors into it. I'll have to describe it fully when the other part of the update is up.
Nyarlthotep will obtain the Flute of the Outer Gods! However, I'll buff the Shoggoth to have a chance to give enemies Fear when it eats a squadmate.
[RP AND ACTIONS]
And A Completely Different Type of Witch:
The Mook Leader notices the sudden activation of a 25 post charge, and the sudden wormhole levitating above him. He looks at hit, before realising that he's massively emanciated, and his life force is rapidly fading away. The Mooks in and near the back line (So, the Powered Rocket Launcher Mook and upwards, unless I'm mistaken), also suddenly notice their life force burning away, into the ether. Left with almost no life in their body, and their souls, they notice their mind burning away, before exploding in a blast of black flame. Hopefully. My, uh, contact said this would work.
[CHARGES, ALCHEMIES AND ASSISTS]
And A Completely Different Type of Witch 25/25 =========================
The Lordling (STALLED) 15/15 ===============
+1 to Revan
+1 from Revan in storage, I think.
[BREAKDOWN AND OOC]
I think you forgot Intervention. Also, can I even use Caliborn? The Fourth Wall is locked in the direction of Universe A.
You're right, I did! Sorry about that. The Dream Reaver (on Page 111, for my own reminding) will be added!
Well, that was definitely an attack! The Mook Leader and most of his squad is vaporized, thus leaving only five Mooks (the Spear Mooks and two of the Lightly Armored Hammer Mooks) to hold the line! That army was just decapitated, if not just completely transsected.
I'm refraining from using the original Homestuck characters in this work. As for your summon of Caliborn, he's just plain too HERETICAL! as a character to be a summon, and it'd be nowhere near him in terms of general evilness and power. However, a simulacrum would work just fine.
====[The Conclusion]====
Sadly, this will have to be a 1/3rd update as of now. Since I probably won't have much to do after my first day of school tomorrow, you can expect the other 2/3rds of the post to happen then! Be sure to stay on the lookout for any party events.
OOC Alright, I'm new here, so tell me if I do anything wrong please. Also, I may go OOC during my posts, just to ask stuff about this, using brackets END OF OOC Deep underground, in a long forgotten cave system, a warlock slept, preserving his lifespan through a special stasis spell, when he was awoken by current events. [ok, so, assuming this is allowed, my character has a 2/30 health right now, and a magic bar with 6/40 mana, regenerating +1 per round or whatever, with some spells and potions that can instantly increase it, or increase the regen.] "Hmm... Wonder what's so important that it woke me up" he wondered, before noticing his lack of mystic energies "Must have taken a lot out of me to break that spell" he mused, before casting a simple regen spell, gaining +2 health per turn for the next 5 turns, costing 5 mana, then casted a scrying spell, costing one mana, to have a basic gist of what's going on "well, guess I should probably help out as soon as I recover" Ben101Extreme stated, before going into a meditative state, gaining an extra 100% mana regen [aka +1]
Well, it is! Everyone can post now. Watch out for any party-related items. Next anniversary I'll be sure to have something better to entertain yourselves with!
Also, if you've posted already, feel free to post it again.
====[End-of-Turn Events]====
The Altar Commons vaporizes the most wounded Spear Mook!!
Ninjatwist_ fires three shots from behind cover at one of the Spear Mooks!
One of the player archers deals 8 damage to a Lightly Armored Sword Mook, striking through his armor!
The Red Shirts continue their advisory.
The Mooks realize that they have lost combat horribly and run desperately in an attempt to reach the forest! However, the Templar Knights catch up to them and overrun them, leaving none of them alive!
The Altar Commons summons enough Templar Knights to reach their 15-member cap.
The Acolyte curses as his troops are wiped out in a large-scale attack, and casts Energy Depletion on the Knights Templar! Their Speed Value is reduced to 2 permanently.
The forest, strangely enough, produces no enemy Mooks.
All of a sudden, a squad of eight Monster Pinatas pop out of nowhere! They pause the Attack Clock and immediately sensing a battle, began to break it for your entities! You will have to smash these fiends yourselves, as no entities can harm these foes. Thankfully, to promote their defeat, they will drop loot items when you smash them brutishly.
Again, happy anniversary!
====[engie_ninja's sidequest]====
Revan and Fanta enter the Atrium and immediately take in its grandeur. A large cylindrical room fills their field of vision, with hanging torchlights and the skylights above illuminating the chamber. Two large statues await on the sides of the room. A large pit sits in the middle of the building, with a larger opening above it. Maybe this calls for an elevator to the top? It's likely that the elevator does not extend below ground, as there is a spiral staircase down into the pit that extends into a deep blackness.
The Atrium's up and down areas seem more curious than what lies ahead of you...
====[Revan's Sidequest]====
You are recovering after the battle with the Wood Jesters. Do you head forward or wait up?
====[ConsumerOfAll/Azure's Sidequest]====
???
====[sunnyau's sidequest]====
Currently in stasis.
The Snow Bison rams through your hasty shielding stance, dealing 6 damage to you! Thankfully, the shield blocks the stunning that would have ensued should you have remained unprotected.
Your Empowered Stone Sword and your Cave Detector are still on the ground.
The Snow Bison takes Burning damage!
====[Persecles Subplot]====
If you haven't read this from the beginning, go read it! It begins on the first update of Page 79.
This has been stopped from happening during the game period to reduce clutter! We'll catch up on Persecles and his army's investigation next story post.

Revan looks conflicted between the the Stairs and the Elevator, giving it a moment. She finally comes to a decision
"How about you decide this one Fanta?"
What almost sounds like a sigh comes from HK-47. She waits for Fanta to come to a decision and heals the Tech Master with the healing ring.
Declaration: Master, I appear to have found some of my programming intact, turning on now.
Revan nods in approval.
HK-47 gits gud.
Upgrades 25/25
HK-47 can now use several different types of attacks/abilites.
Blaster Fire: Standard attack
Flurry: Fires into at all enemies present and insert amount of bullets here will randomly hit the enemies
Sniper Shot: Always accurate and always hits but needs a turn to line up the shot
Power Shot: Deals high damage but has a chance of missing
Self-Repair: He can spend a turn healing himself for some decent recovery
Nyarlathotep looks happily at the Pinatas and pulls out a bat with a nail through it. What's he- Oh, oh dear. Nyarly flash-steps and grabs a Pinata by the neck and hoists it up.
I wonder if I should blindfold myself.
He decides to go instead for the the Pinata Monster's eye, gouging it out with a slam underneath the socket of the googly eye sending the pain through out the loot bearing monster and wrentching it upwards sending cardboard/paper mache flying about. He then simple weakens the structure of the Pinata by smashing his spiked bat into the under the stomach and dragging it about. Youch.
Notice MEEEEEE] He stays in the meditative trance, using one charge to increase his spell by +1 health for one turn, and another charge to increase his mana regen by +1 for that turn, making it +4 due to the trance doubling his current regen [Status HP: 4/30 Mana: 2/40] And if I can do it from here, charge micbs campfire by +1
Fanta looked at the two paths they could take. On one hand, the elevator looked relatively safe and it probably lead to somewhere important. On the other hand, the staircase was dark and practically screaming 'bad idea'.
So naturally the teen chose the stairs.
And by 'chose', she actually just sat on the hand rails and slid down into the darkness, laughing like a giddy child the whole way.
Unless there were no hand rails - in that case, Fanta simply told Revan,
"Last one down the adventure hole is a rotten egg!"
Observation: She is clearly suffering from a mental illness, I suggest euthanization.
"I'm sure I can find the Pacifist Package again."
That shut HK-47 up. Revan heals the Tech Master again with the healing ring.
HK-47 silently charges his power cells for a crit.
They both follow after Fanta.
Nyarlathotep appears to be attempting to force his hand through the Pinata's eyesocket to gain the prize inside. Oh dear he's just pulling out so much candy littering the floor with it. It's everywhere. Coming out of the Pinata's mouth and empty eyesocket, nothing but candy everywhere.

HK-47's Blaster receives its shooting upgrades, and gains an initial accuracy boost from 75% to 90%! He also learns Self-Repair.
Nyarlthotep deals 4 damage to one of the Pinata Monsters while also inflicting Weakened (50% damage vulnerability) on it!

Hold your horses. Who's "he"? You've gotta make a PC first before you can join this game! Just pronounce your allegiance and then join in.
Also, all PC's are created equal, so you're only starting off with 20 HP and maybe can unlock some magic capabilities through a quest.
Using the +1 to the campfire from Zyngard. And if he can't charge my campfire 2/2 for my campfire! I finish my campfire!
I set my stick on fire and throw it at Ninjatwist_ because i can! Then a throw a bucket of water at Ninjatwist_ just in case i set him on fire.
LOOK! Secret Writing. I wonder why its here?
You finish your campfire!
You throw the Generic Stick at Ninjatwist_, but it misses due to the stick's terrible aerodynamics! Ninjatwist_ notices the stick thrown in his direction and decides to keep an eye on you in case you decide to make yourself a threat.
Scratch, don't bother showing your face here. I thought you met your fate in the last DTG episode we had? Unless there's some secretive respawning rule we had here. Although if it is you, that's kind of out of character because of the fact you used capitals and an exclamation point. A situation might be serious enough to warrant some emotion from you!

====[The Conclusion]====
Yup, this is going to have to be a 1/3rd update, especially since the school year just started. However, Friday will be a nice and easy day to post the rest of the update, so stay tuned!
Just to the new members, any of your posts made while the update is still in progress are counted as null.
I did earlier, but apparently you didn't see it, so I'll repost with some changes] Deep underground, in a long forgotten cave system, a warlock slept, preserving his lifespan through a special stasis spell, when he was awoken by current events. [ok, so, assuming this is allowed, my character has a 2/20health right now, and a magic bar with 5/5 mana, regenerating +1 per round or whatever, with some spells and potions that can instantly increase it, or increase the regen.] "Hmm... Wonder what's so important that it woke me up" he wondered, before noticing his lack of mystic energies "Must have taken a lot out of me to break that spell" he mused, before casting a simple regen spell, gaining +2 health per turn for the next 5 turns, costing 1 mana, then casted a scrying spell, costing one mana, to have a basic gist of what's going on "well, guess I should probably help out as soon as I recover" Ben101Extreme stated, before going into a meditative state, gaining an extra 100% mana regen [aka +1] [he's aa, but I guess for now he might be considered neutral, because he's not doing anything]
It is! be sure to damage those Monster Pinatas quick to make sure you get some of that sweet anniversary loot.
Also, new player(s?), that'll restrict you to only one PC.
====[End-of-Turn Events]====
The Altar Commons keeps a vigil on the forest.
The Monster Pinatas deal 4 damage to Ninjatwist_'s cover, breaking it! They also deal 10 damage to the Altar Commons!
Ninjatwist_ keeps an eye on the new guy in case he decides to make himself a problem.
The Player Archers keep a look out for the forest.
The Red Shirts continue their advisory.
The Templar Knights are bored.
The Altar Commons has reached the 15-member cap of the Templar Knights.
Nyarlthotep receives a Party Foul from the defeated Monster Pinata!
The Acolyte takes advantage of this lull to Meditate! He will now regenerate 4% of his Dark Magic Meter until he is stopped.
The forest, strangely enough, produces no enemy Mooks.
====[engie_ninja's sidequest]====
Currently in stasis.
====[Revan's Sidequest]====
You enter the darkness of the Depths, although down below it is surprisingly well-lit by torchlight! You enter a large chamber, although significantly smaller than the Atrium, with the walls of naturally-carved stone, yet the floor is tiled. In the center of the room stands a pedestal, although its use is unknown, since it holds no weapon yet. A large an old door looms in front of you... and hey, it has a lock on it!

If you haven't read this from the beginning, go read it! It begins on the first update of Page 79.
This has been stopped from happening during the game period to reduce clutter! We'll catch up on Persecles and his army's investigation next story post.

Hi, everyone! The school year has indeed started, which means that posts may be on the decline for you guys. However, we need to have healthy updates of six or more posts, so I will delay this update until our posts can get back up to speed. I'll also see if we can get more of the original DTG War Veterans on this thread, which is my intended audience.
Please try to post more often so that more updates can continue.
Deep underground, in a long forgotten cave system, a warlock slept, preserving his lifespan through a special stasis spell, when he was awoken by current events. Wonder what's so important that it woke me up" he wondered, before noticing his lack of mystic energies "Must have taken a lot out of me to break that spell" he mused, before casting a simple regen spell, gaining +2 health per turn for the next 5 turns, costing 1 mana, then casted a scrying spell, costing 4 mana, to have a basic gist of what's going on "well, guess I should probably help out as soon as I recover" Zyngard stated, before grabbing his weapon, an enchanted sword with a Cold Fire effect, and looking for a teleportation potion, or something that can get him places [he's aa, but I guess for now he might be considered neutral, because he's not doing anything][ok, I've posted this several times, but this is probably the last post, and it seems to have some issues]
Fortunately, we have reached new posts just above my personal minimum of 6! And I was worried that I was going to have to release a smaller update early! I guess posting has been tough for both of us, as unfortunately, this will have to be a 1/3rd update. (High School is tough, and I'm not even in my first 30 days!) i guess we both have to work on getting posts up more often.

Welcome to the game! Your PC has been added as Neutral. You'll have to declare a faction change three turns in advance.
The regen spell appears to work better than normal restoring you to full health, but the sword seems to have mediocre power. Maybe you can recover it through one means or another...
Well, without further ado, it’s updating time!

You heal yourself up for 4 HP!
I imagined the Tech Master as a knight, which is somewhere in-between. 2 HP restored!
The incoming Mook reinforcements now have a 1/2 chance to take 4 damage once they step out of the forest!
You fry the healthiest Lightly Armored Hammer Mook to a crisp with a 20-damage thunderbolt!
You deal 4 damage to the Powered Rocket Launcher Mook!
1 vote added for Hand to Hand!
I'm not sure. Revan herself didn't do any damage to the Commons.
It's perfectly fine! Thanks for coming back at this moment, too, since it's pretty important for the history of the thread. I'm not holding you to this thread.
You prepare to step onwards into the Atrium.
An alternate timeline emerges.
However, we must first start from the beginning...

The second part of the update is here!
Well, it is! Everyone can post now. Watch out for any party-related items. Next anniversary I'll be sure to have something better to entertain yourselves with!
Also, if you've posted already, feel free to post it again.
====[End-of-Turn Events]====
====[engie_ninja's sidequest]====

====[Persecles Subplot]====
If you haven't read this from the beginning, go read it! It begins on the first update of Page 79.
This has been stopped from happening during the game period to reduce clutter! We'll catch up on Persecles and his army's investigation next story post.

He then simple weakens the structure of the Pinata by smashing his spiked bat into the under the stomach and dragging it about. Youch.

Using the +1 to the campfire from Zyngard. And if he can't charge my campfire 2/2 for my campfire! I finish my campfire!

Unless there were no hand rails - in that case, Fanta simply told Revan,
"Last one down the adventure hole is a rotten egg!"
before making a mad dash down the stairs.

You begin to create a campfire! A Generic Stick has been added to your inventory.
You wait for Fanta to give the signal on where to go. Tech Master healed for 4 HP!
You decide to lead the gang down the Stairs! Although the stairs are made of stone and have no guard rails, so running down them wouldn't be a good idea.
Heh, Pacifist Package.
You follow Fanta down the Stairs, although I can't describe the Depth until after the update completes.
Tech Master healed up for 4 HP! HK-47 will now deal double damage on his first shot from his Blaster if it strikes.
Nyarlthop deals 6 damage to the Monster Pinata you weakened earlier, destroying it and dropping 1 out of a pool of 12 items I hope to complete by tomorrow.
You deal 4 damage to another of the Monster Pinatas!
====[The Conclusion]====
Yup, this is going to have to be a 1/3rd update, especially since the school year just started. However, Friday will be a nice and easy day to post the rest of the update, so stay tuned!
Just to the new members, any of your posts made while the update is still in progress are counted as null.
An alternate timeline emerges.
However, we must first start from the beginning...
Sup
Oh shoot, Zyngard and Ben101Extreme are both me. I'm not sure why that's happening /null
The second part of the update is here!
It is! be sure to damage those Monster Pinatas quick to make sure you get some of that sweet anniversary loot.
Also, new player(s?), that'll restrict you to only one PC.
====[End-of-Turn Events]====

====[Revan's Sidequest]====

Nyarlathotep grabs a Pinata Monster and greets it with sledgehammer to its torso. Chunks of paper mache/cardboard go flying from the monster. Nyarly then drops the Monster and heaves the sledgehammer up and brings it down on the Pianta throwing his weight into the blow. The force conpletely crushing the Monster dealing a powerful blow weakening the Pianta Monster with mechinical stregnth. Just for extra measure he stomps on it creating dents in its figure. It spills a bit of candy from wounds opened up, letting out a wounded shriek. Nyarly nods in approval.

[ok, so, assuming this is allowed, my character has a 2/20 health right now, and a magic bar with 5/0 (just some leftover mana) mana, .] "Hmm...
Fanta decided to take the opportunity to look at her surroundings. She took one look at the torches before coming to a very logical conclusion:
There was a puzzle down here. She's played enough video games (and gone through enough dungeons of questionable purpose) to figure this out!
With that, the teen began her search for clues to solve this puzzle.

You place the Lightning Coil up on the Pedestal, and oddly enough, it floats! Nothing else other than this seems to happen, though.
2 HP healed to the Tech Master.
You deal 4 damage to the weakest Monster Pinata!
You deal 4 damage to and finish off the weakest Monster Pinata with your flying hedgehogs! You pick up a Bundle of Fireworks from the remains.
You apply the Rusty Key to the door and you hear the lock's tumblers tumble around. The door appears to be unlocked!
You deal 5 damage (Brutality Bonus) to one of the uninjured Monster Pinatas!
You deal 4 damage to another Monster Pinata!
Welcome to the game! Your PC has been added as Neutral. You'll have to declare a faction change three turns in advance.
The regen spell appears to work better than normal restoring you to full health, but the sword seems to have mediocre power. Maybe you can recover it through one means or another...
There may be a puzzle down here indeed! Although solving it may require some items and Revan's help.
You deal 4 damage to the Monster Pinata that you tore earlier!
