Hi! This is a mafia game thread, you may be wondering what is this and how do I play, so please keep reading.
What are Mafia games?
Mafia is a party game invented in the late 80's, it has two or more factions, usually dubbed "The Town" and "The Mafia". The game consists on an informed minority versus an uninformed majority, these being the Mafia and the Town, respectively. The rules are below.If you want to learn the basics to play, you can click here, it's a nice guide for beginners with flash animations.
THE RULES
The host's word is absolute. If you think he's wrong, don't pick a fight, make a polite suggestion, otherwise, you risk being mod-killed.
You should not talk in the thread during the night. Small talk is allowed, but no strategy.
You will receive a private message from the host with the information of your role. You cannot quote it directly, paraphrase instead.
Don't talk to other players through private messages unless your role allows, if you are discovered, you get mod-killed.
Don't edit your posts. This is important, because allowing editing can cause problems with players changing their posts to their advantage. You may get mod-killed for this if you do it multiple times.
Any questions about the game mechanics can be asked through a private message, or answered in the thread.
As a tip, if you are participating in a game, I advice you follow this thread, so you can be up to date.

It's interesting that the less rules a game has, the more people play it, most likely because it's easy to get in and +1 in those kind of games.
Anyways, I hope the slots fill up, I've been itching to host a game for some time now, but the place where I used to play is a bit inactive nowadays and it got hard to even get 10 players there.
