I normally don't stream tbh.. Unless you have a rather good connection, the buffering time and even the selection of shows can be a real turn off personally.

And the quality of what you're streaming. Terrible sub quality, video quality, audio to video sync, buffer time, etc. etc.

That too. I've really only had to deal with stream sites when my friend wanted to watch a dubbed show and sourced her to one but had to look over it and stuff to make sure it'd work for her.
I'm currently watching Yuru Yuri S2, Oda Nobuna no Yabou, Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru! and Dog Days S2. I agree with the lamentation about fan service. It doesn't usually bother me, but I watched Strike Witches first ep and OMG. I tried twice to finish it but the constant camera pandering to panty shots (i.e. stopping motion shots to zoom on panties for a moment) was getting annoying.
My favorites are Ah My Goddess, Black Lagoon, Kimagure Orange Road, Shinryaku! Ika Musume, Yuru Yuri, Zipang, Kaze no Stigma, Allison to Lillia, Itazura na Kiss.. actually, I guess I'd better stop myself as my favorites list is pretty big lol. Hard to pick a favorite sometimes
I generally can't stand dubs. There are so very few dubs that are decent that I've just given up on even trying them out. I'm an avid reader, so I can read subs fast enough to still have time to watch the scene so I don't miss dubs hehe. The one dub that stands out is Ghost Stories. The licensee took quite a bit of artistic license when they dubbed it; it retains a very general gist of the original dialog but changes it to comedy.
Outta have a poll to see what the desired method of watching is, be curious to see how it breaks down (buying DVDs, watching on cable, streaming on the net or downloading fansubs). My preferred method is fansub downloads. I've bought many DVDs to support the industry, but usually I find it a hassle to have to load discs and fiddle with the menus which is why I like the fansubs instead. I've decided to start collecting manga so I figured I'd devote my support $ in that area instead. Also tend to waste $ on the PVC figures, just gotta get a decent display case for them.
Anyone going to Otakon this weekend? Looking forward to picking up my badge tomorrow. Now if only my back will stop hurting so I can fall back asleep, grrr. Can't wait to hit the dealer room and see what goodies can be had
You realize I do as well. Most of the main stream shows I don't watch up there however put them in being we're try to please everyone and not just the fans who watch anime with a passion like us.
As i've said before, someone else can either make one and we can see if we all like it, or I can make a new one when I get back from up north and use the anime shows that we want. Just a suggestion.
On a lighter note. Started to watch Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru!, which is ok but really not sure how far i'll get into it.. Also anyone else excited for Sora no Otoshimono S3? I knew there was going to be another one because of the manga, however still happy that there will be one at least.

I could attempt to make one later if you'd like. Probably won't be the best, but yeah :u
So, what's the deal with Anime theme songs? Perhaps something is lost in translation, or is translated poorly, but they always seem to make little sense to me.

I dunno what you've been watching, but I haven't encountered that.
Lilium is cool, I like the latin. Favorite anime episode, hmm... hmmm. Probably Bleach 54. Maybe also the episode in Seitokai Yakuindomo where they are in Kyoto. Hmmmmmm, Yuru Yuri S1 ep where they are molding clay. For that matter, most of YY is pretty funny lol.
I like Discotheque by Nana Mizuki, used in Rosario+Vampire S2 as opening. Nice music and animation. I also get a chuckle whenever I watch Yuru Yuri's S2 intro, the hyper moves that Kyouko (the blond) does lol
Also reading Hitman Reborn, it's a trollish version of an action manga if you ask me.
Streaming is terrible.

Yeah sure you're more then welcome too :).

Negative. I too have seen it, from what I recall it was decent.
PS, for those of you with collections of fansubs, what do you use to organize them?
My folders.
Though Taiga provides a nice interface so I don't have to write down what episode I'm on.
Have you listened to Lilium? That will make you very sad.

Always nice.
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!
Welcome to the dark side.
