Anyone watching Dog Days'? This new season is not bad, but man when are they ever going to introduce a solid antagonist so there can be a plot? It's like a whole season so far of frivolity and fun in the animal world lol.
1.masamune date - battle girls time paradox
2.tsurara shirayuki - rosario+vampire
3.busujima saeko - highschool of the dead
4.mouyu - ikki tousen
5.Horo - spice and wolf
i really like anime char with long blue hair, lovely and like filled with motherly love <3 lol
I've been told by my bro it's terrible... But Id have to check it out for myself, mind giving me a quick summary on the the basis of the plot, characters and other misc. things?
Oh lord, it's been awhile since I've seen the show, lol.
Well, if I remember correctly, it's basically about a girl named Usagi who meets this black cat, and this cat tells her she's "Sailor Moon" destined to protect the galaxy and all of the planets. She's also suppose to find the "Moon Princess" and other sailor people that the Queen from a before time sent to the future, to help stop the evil threat going on in the galaxy.
There's around 4 or 5 seasons to it.
The only characters I remember are Sailor Moon (Blonde with talking kitty, main protagonist) , Sailor Venus (Blonde with light powers?), Sailor Mars (Black-haired girl with fire powers), and Sailor Jupiter (Brunnete with lightning powers) (there's more and they are probably named after things in space or something along those lines.)
oh my lord. They even stated IN the Anime "the grandline is crawling with people like him."
Once they set sail on the grandline, theres Going to be a Ton of people with these powers. It's the most dangerous sea in their world.
Sure the laugh may be irritating to me, but This anime will Always have a small place in my heart.
Don't recall that, but you'd think then if that's the case they wouldn't make a big deal about it earlier on. I also wish they'd freaking wrap it up already. At this rate, OP will go the way of Wheel of Time - the author dies before the end lol.

The entire story is rooted in the past. There are some variations between the manga, the Japanese anime, and the English anime. But this is basically what happened:
There were kingdoms on all planets in our solar system. The Princess of the Moon and the Prince of Earth fell in love, even though it was forbidden. They were unable to be together, and a revolt from an Earthling woman led to war that soon destroyed all life. Right before she died, the Queen of the Moon used her remaining energy (and a special crystal) to allow the Princess, the Prince, and most of the main characters to reincarnate later, and also started the process of creating humanity once more.
Since I only ever watched the English anime, I'll be restricted to the English names. In the (relatively) modern world, the Princess has reincarnated as a girl named Serena. She eventually is told by talking cats (also reincarnated) about who she is, Sailor Moon. She, along with her guardians (Sailor Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter) band together to fight evil. Also reincarnated is the Prince, and the woman from earth who started the rebellion. Except for the reincarnated earth woman and Sailor Venus, none of them have anything more than vague memories of their past lives at the start of the series.
IMO, only the first three seasons are worth watching. After that it gets even more bizarre.
I like most anime I am exposed to. Every anime I have watched a full episode of, I would not mind watching again. I even like Initial D despite the early 1990's CGI for the cars. I also like Hetalia, which I know at least some other people here like as well, despite the fact that some people find it offensive/racist/nationalist. I like reading Rosario+Vampire but the anime is very echi.

I would tell you about how awesome I am down here, but I have a feeling you probably already know that. <- Please. ._.
I've seen a lot of people with those kinds of ideas. If you are staying away from them because you read the synopsis and it sounded dumb, cool. If you are avoiding them simply because they're popular, that's retarded. My method is if I read a synopsis and it sounds vaguely interesting, I give it 3 episodes to hook me.
Both OP and Bleach are good shows, if you avoid them for the popularity reason you're missing out. True, both of them have some crappy sections but they also have good stuff.
Dunno why but Ive been trying to stay away from the mainstream anime... Anyone else like that? By mainstream I mean things like: onempiece, bleach and such things
yup. same here. maybe its because of the hundreds of episodes and you dont want to have to watch them all. that's how i think of it

You could always avoid them because they're bad shows.
Well my reason isnt because there popular as I do watch naruto, it's a meh anime and it's probably mainstream but it's because I want to way watch the ones that arent really well known as they all ways seem to be the best
Naruto probably mainstream? The "well known" status also kinda depends on what audience you are applying that to. I'd wager a lot of stuff people consider non-mainstream is actually pretty popular if you go to the right place.

Problem with that is, it relies on you knowing it's a bad show before you even watch it. Who decides what a bad show is? I don't give much weight to recommendations, I like to try things out myself ergo the 3 episode trial. If I used the "people say it sucks" methodology, I'd never have watched Midori no Hibi. Everyone said it sucks (because the premise is odd) but it was OK.
Currently bored at work so I'm rewatching Kaze no Stigma:
Good show, and the guy Kazuma is awesome. He's the perfect foil for the tsundere lead female

And here I thought I decided it was a bad show, after watching it. Thank you for correcting me on my misunderstanding.
For me:
Fan service girl: Yoko(Gurren Lagann)
All around girl: Ukyo(Ranma 1/2)
Favorite male: Kamina(Gurren Lagann)
Trying to think of others..

Sailor moon was my childhood. I still have the VHS tapes of Sailor Moon. I think it's amazing.

It's actually very good, I probably didn't advertise it too well. lol

My nieces like it. I still have yet to watch it.

I viewed it as more "girl superheroes in skimpy clothing", but sure.
