I'm pretty impressed that Fluttershy wasn't already taken as a name.
Kinda unfair to me, because I tried to signup long ago in 2011< with the name Fluttershy and it was taken. I have no idea what has happened since then but perhaps the account that had it was deleted or the name was forced change.
Still, I hold the name Flutterwry as the username for many things and always plan to. Despite SeaWry being unique signature one.
Not that many probably care anymore, something I sketched. Birth and reborn of a character I disabandoned, but found I just cannot. It has flaws but not my concern to fix really as I am horribly lacking in practice. Time is not friendly to me really.
The sarcastic half of me would like to pretend I'm also a newcomer to this thread, but the truth is I just hardly ever post.

Firstly, good on you for not drawing static poses, and instead putting them at different angles and having their heads titled in various ways. However, and perhaps it's not worth mentioning as it is obvious, the proportions could be better. They're rather skewed around the legs, but I imagine this is more of an issue with your medium. You should try sketching and drawing with a pencil.
I'm still super sad that there's not been a good fanfic of Celestia going insane. I should just give up hope on that.
I mostly agree with this. Actually, even from the start I never really viewed them as being in a full relationship. They always struck me as really good friends, with perhaps some 'benefits' on the side if things permit it. To me they appear likely as being two compassionate mares who are simply enjoying their youth, not a real couple who's investing into their future with one another. It definitely could develop into that, but that's not now how it speaks to me usually.
I do like the specific idea of them sharing an apartment while they both work on their careers, though.
That wasn't my point. It's that it's still great backtracking, and usually this sort of thing is purely gratuitous in the end. Though this does depend on what exactly they do with it, so it may be alright in the end.
It's very well possible she does both. She may be capable of seeing who would serve as a good alicorn or not, and work to develop potential where she can or think it wise. Whereas otherwise she keeps it very hush-hush.
I like this one. It's drawn well. Though I can't explain what's up with that guard.

With all die respect i think All lesbian shippings are simply the authors projections, preferences, desires etc. None of the has any solid foundation to hold by itself. But shipping can still be modeled like that since the characters are very flexible
Anyhow i really like the idea of Tavi and vinyl being childhood friends who live together as they progress to their career. The apparently opposite personalities of them make nice humor. And their friendship is cute.
Every time I see good fanart of King Sombre (as few as it may be), it always makes me the sadder how his character really wasn't anything more than a looming shadow. I don't care about his average character design -- it's that he was an influence that had a lot more potential. I mean really, he was such a shell of a character even the fanfics writers are walking around him. That's pretty bad!
I personally think that the fact that Sombra was never developed as a character is that he was originaly too dark for the show, after all he is a disemboidied slavist and tyrant. And the original concept did not made through post production. So the Studio ensembled a lighter (and reduced) version of it to present it.
I have always been curious about all they ideas the studio had but did not managed to pass Hasbro's filters...
Just recently heard that an Official Guide about the show's universe has been announced. (That is if it is not a hoax).
I have always considdered the show canon to be "incomplete" What i mean is that it is not an all encompassing canon and that the show does not fit into a properly developed lore. Simply beocuse it does not need it.
But the announcement of this book and the rest of the literature they have been producing ( Comics the Herat Crystal book) and the fact that they had to explain/insert Alicorn origins on the season finale has made me question that.
So how deep do you think the show canon is? Is it nothing more than what cartoon the shows? or do you think the writers have a properly constructed lore?
And how much thought do you think the studio puts into making the lore of Equestria? Something they think on the lunchtime?

If anypony cares, my fave characters are; Fluttershy, Luna (of course XD), Derpy, Cloudchaser, Chrysalis, and Fleur de Lis.
I don't contribute much to the fandom (I can make animated GIFs from scenes of the show, never finished the fanfic I started "A Different Perspective", and I've thrown money at some ponies for the content they've created XD).
@Nerevar - I actually have the 2nd coin she made on Order. I missed out on the first coin though. The 2nd coin is the one that got the C&D for. She'll still be releasing them though, but I'll never get the 1st coin ~_~

I do recall there being an article that looked at the "underground" MLP market and how valuable it is. If Hasbro could get in on it then there's the potential for making some immense bucks.
But even if they did try and not toast every fan plushie maker, or coin maker then I imagine a deal would need to be struck between company and artist. And the deals forged could take a lot of legal time. And time is money. So to try and logic their actions it could be assumed: ultimately foreseeably cheaper to clap down on breaches of IP that could go out of control than to try and incorporate all these tiny artists and groups.
