Depends on the situation. My guess is that it would be frightened and alone being teleported to a strange world full of humans. Its got a home back in Equestria and it is lost in a whole new realm.
Given this situation, what would you really do? Yeah, think about that.
Yeah... Sorry for not being clear about that x.x Anyway, I'd probably *insert generic comforting steps*, then take him/her back home with me and try to figure out how they got here. If I can, I'd help them go back home, but if I end up growing too attached to them...
...Okay, totally thinking a certain magic-themed, Kugimiya Rie-as-lead-female-character animé here...
In the finale, it is mentioned that Princess Celestia's Niece is marrying Twilight's older brother.
Now, in part 2, it is said that Cadence-Princess' niece-has a dark secret...
Twilight created the illusion of Cadence long ago in order to find a way to get closer to the Princess, and her family. She simply animates a pony, and acts as 'Candence', while regaining the pony's memories and experiences, having her goal achieved. The reason the wedding was such a shock to her, is that this is completely against her plans, and they're falling apart. So, in a final rush, she makes an attempt to stop the wedding, and ends up causing total ****ing chaos. The "I don't" is when Twi' disperses the illusion of Candence, walks up, and speaks for herself.
I know, crazy and un-proofread. But if I'm right...YOU OWE ME 100 DOLLARS AND 4004040404 BITS!
I think I liked every part except the end. Who doesn't want it to end in total chaos?!
@Find-a-real-pony topic: I would scoop her up into my arms, crouch down, maybe get a shroud or something to cover her up, and take it back to my house. That way she wouldn't end up all over the news or being harassed by a bunch of bronies.
I'd ask her how she got here, though if she's a unicorn then the answer is pretty clear. I would then proceed to comfort her and try to explain what these strange pink bipeds with squidlike appendages are. If she is indeed a unicorn, it'll be easy to hide her and take care of her for a while. Since I can't do this indefinitely, though, I'll have to find a way to get her back to Equestria.
By the way, Asgard said he intends to get into genetic engineering of some sort when he grows up. I don't know about you guys, but I think if anyone's going to get us sentient pet ponies, it'd be him.
Edit: Also, I don't think it would or should be a member of the mane 6, nor do I want it to be. Being with a pony from the show would complicate things. I'd rather have a generic, factory-standard pony, preferably with no family or friends to be hysterical about. Of course, she'll have to want to go back to Equestria, but I don't want her freaking out about the other Bearers of the Elements or something.
Also, yes, feminine pronoun. I'd be uncomfortable with a male pony.
Suddenly, a pony from MLP:FiM, out in public! What do you do?
You need to be more specific; it's difficult to give an answer for this. There are a lot of variables here. Which pony? What kind of pony? Where in public? What time of day is it? Does anyone else notice the pony? Generally, I would approach the pony, talk to it, and try to get it somewhere safe like my house. Though, that poses a whole new branch of problems as I don't live alone.
@Topic: I would probably make sure it would never be discovered and subsequently torn apart by militant neckbeards. Probably see if it could somehow get back after that... I would probably shelter it at my house until it could find a way back, since we have a few acres of running space and high fences/ stoned neighbors.
Okay, fine... You suddenly come across a pony (pick only one between: an Earth or Pegasus pony who got teleported due to an accident back at Equestria, a Unicorn, or an Alicorn [doesn't necessarily have to be Celestia/Luna]) in the middle of a crowd at, say, a park during the daytime, and they notice him/her, too. NOW what do you do?
Would you act like if it was anypony else, or you might be scared that they ban you to the moon?
I would bumrush Celestia while screaming "OH MY GOD PLEASE GIVE ME MAGICAL POWERS!"
I'm joking of course. I would approach them in a non-threatening manner (not that it would be necessary, I imagine) and ask them why they were here, along with other important questions like if they knew what humans were. What happens after that is entirely up in there air. At some point, though, I would ask if I could go see Equestria.
I just read one called Forever Faithful earlier today. It's featured on fimfiction, in the little boxy thing at the top. It's rather short, and it has a lot of potential that it's wasted, but it's an interesting concept.
I just finished the story just now; you're completely correct. The concept itself is very interesting, and it's a shame that the author didn't possess the writing skills to turn the fic into something really great. Also, I feel it would have ended much better with "Oh, and we need a Sun now," or something similar to that effect.
It's a true crime that it has twice the views that Eternal has.

OK, it sounds like we can choose who exactly. So, I choose Twilight. Best case scenario (for me)
What's running through my head: How the HELL did this happen? What am I supposed to do?
...
This is bad. Very bad. Start talking. You're probably the only one who knows what's going on.
"PEOPLE! GET AWAY FROM HER, I KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON!"
*gets stares*
etc... Don't feel like typing out an entire thing. If I was gonna do that, I'd write it as a fanfic.

I would personally bro-hoof Celestia! Isn't it obvious!? Celestia is more like a pony that observe before acting. I wonder if she would approach directly after being spotted by me, or she would hide first and stalk me until she's sure I'm not a threat...
Luna.. I don't know.. What if she believe she's being banned again, but instead in a foreign world? She could be very dangerous, emotionally unstable and very, very scared of being alone for another thousand years...
And, I mean, they are goddesses, with connexion to the Sun and Moon. I'm sure if this connexion is severed they could feel..wrong. How they would react is not something we can guess easily...
I wouldn't feel right to just bring them home. I mean, they are royalty, goddesses, embodiment of Celestial bodies (does that sound weird?) It's probably me who might be scared of them instead of them scared of, well, everything, the whole world. I'm not worth the attention of somepony as mighty and powerful as both princesses. But it's worth a try, I guess? Meeting Celestia or Luna could be something truly... indescribable.
New topic: If the ponies were humanized and placed into your hometown environment--same personalities, but human backstories and no memory ' class='bbc'>nor indication of ever being ponies--which one would you get along with the best, and which the worst? Remember to consider your own limitations and how they'd feel about you, not just how you'd feel about them.
While it sounds sad, I'd probably get along best with Pinkie simply because she's so outgoing and accepting that she'd have to befriend me. I might conceivably be friends with Twilight, but there are a lot of people I know with whom I might conceivably be friends but never am, sometimes simply because we don't interact often enough.
I'd probably get on Rainbow's nerves. And Octavia's. In fact, anyone with nerves readily available, I'd probably get all up on them at least once. Also, I would avoid Snips, Snails and Twist like the plague.
Luna.. I don't know.. What if she believe she's being banned again, but instead in a foreign world? She could be very dangerous, emotionally unstable and very, very scared of being alone for another thousand years...
AAAGH. Luna wasn't alone on the moon for a millennium! Nightmare Moon was! And judging by the lunar maria, the imprisonment was probably more of a seal than a physical transportation, meaning she was probably unconscious the entire time,

Hmm... It'd have to be Fluttershy as best (considering I'm socially awkward) and Pinkie as worst (I don't do well with parties/being outgoing/etc.; I still like her, though!) for me.

Honestly, I'm quite sure me and Twilight would get along pretty well. Given the opportunity, I can be just as enthusiastic about learning and reading as she is, and she's very open to new social encounters. Pinkie Pie would get along with anyone, and I think hyper girls are awesome. I think the other four would be downers though, really. Fluttershy's shyness would just make conversations and activities slow or tedious. Rarity would be too stuck-up and Applejack would be too simple, bless her good heart. Rainbow Dash would probably end up being annoying or uninterested in the sort of things that I enjoy, but we could probably be mild friends.
As for the non-mane ponies? Well, there's a few I would like to meet and talk to as well, such as Spitfire, Cherrilee, and even Big Mac. He strikes me as that big, quiet, but really awesome sort of guy that you can just hang out with. Then there's... uh... Octavia...
That's great work; simple, but wholly effective as an image. I've always thought that Arabic was a sexy language, so that helps the image quite a bit in my eyes.

I would probably get along best with Pinkie, that's not fanboyism either. Laughter is pretty much what I live for these days, and although I'm not big on the party scene (clubs etc.) I would like to think that I am a riot at birthday parties and celebrations (unless all of the guests were lying about how great my Cake decorating was)
I would probably get along worst with Rarity, since I am very uncouth and usually greet people with a twangy "howdy." And my fashion and fashion sense is atrocious. Not saying we would hate eachother, but it would be awkward meetings and probably an air of conflict.
I would like to think I would get along with Twilight, I'm no math Wizard, and my home Library is distinctly lacking of non comic material, I make it a point to read anything that interests me and I constantly search for knowledge, but Twilight probably doesn't consider "Where's Waldo" useful knowledge.

Pinkie Pie. Just a feeling that she would be the first one I would get along with.

As do I. It has a certain "flow" to it. But I guess when the whole writing style is cursive that's sort of a given. I plan to do more, it's just a question of how lazy I'm feeling. I'd also like to try and experiment more to see how complex I can push it. Sort of like this stuff:
Humanized Ponies Topic: I'd have to say Twi. If she was just a human, who had memories of living in a human world, she'd geek over all the same things I do.
And for those who were wondering, this is Drizzt Do'Urden, the most badass Dark Elf ever, and an eventual ponification project of mine.
