If anything, I'm not going to ask for one in the near future, so..
It's kinda like how you're going to buy a car and you're not going to directly buy a car at your choice, surely you're going to compare it to other cars of the same level.
I have seen many small "lesser" known hobby artists that can do amazing work, for a fair price. However many of them do not take commissions lately because time and issues.
Another place where it is good to search for good artists to commission is Inkbunny should you not want to only have Deviantart or FA and worst latter being Tumblr being resources. Inkbunny is more dedicated to business, either famous or lesser, they make doing commissions simpler for artists.
And yes hunting for a artists to commission is rather difficult, because there is so many in different styles and pricing. In end it is worth it however.
I haven't gone to check for artists in Inkbunny, mainly because I just registered there a few days ago. I'll probably start searching there. Some of the artists that I follow on Tumblr do start to open commissions though.

I'm leaving the forum, if anyone cared. You can find me on OC or FFR.
So, I was playing this MX racing game I haven't played in like a month or two and I realized 3 things
1) I'm boss at that game
2) I love metal
3) If we were anthro, don't you think helmets would look a little...... odd? Hmmm, maybe Fox racing would get more business?

You're only insane once you believe you're insane.
Well helmets would be very weird indeed. But there are some obvious answers as well. I couldn't come up with one at this second but I may be able to come up with a design.
I meant how they would fit around our heads, not the helmets we have now.
...I thought that's what I meant?
To say it again, if we were to grow up with cat ears already attached to our heads from way back, then of course you won't see round helmets in your everyday life. They'd put up a workaround to compensate room for the ears.

Hey, I know this is out of the nowhere, but do any of you know a good free photo editing program? I need to be able to edit brightness and colour intensity, threshold, ect; I can't do it on the program I have now (GIMP) because the thing has to be made in the program for the program to allow you to edit that stuff (which is totally stupid). Photoscape seems okay, but I want to know if there is anything better.

You can import different file types into gimp. Try a .Tiff with layers preserved.
Sometimes I forget how horrible I am at drawing, and then I painfully learn when I go and try. I really need to do better with my perspectives and size ratios. And I probabibably should learn how to draw something other than a fox. Maybe more feline next time?
Oh well, here's my latest attempt after a long hiatus from sketching:

Try using structure lines and my proportions post. Still having trouble? Model off of yourself.
Well, I sometimes do use draw a rough stick figure to get the placement right, problem is that I'm also bad with the stick figures too.
I suggest this wonderful guy then who dedicates some of his time to teach.
", don't cry over such and quit art if you do, I mean it.">
Amount you can learn from his videos, is quite amazing if you have the aptitude for it.
Also if you wonder what the tool he is using is called, it is called a Lead Holder. They are relatively cheap as is the lead. Though the lead comes in different kinds. In one of his videos, Tools I Use or something named that, he goes over all of them and how they are different.
Stick figures are best figures.
Honestly, you can learn a lot from this guy if you do traditional art or even digital to some degree.
One thing you should know before bothering with such, human anatomy and shaping. This includes muscles/bones and how their movement interact or affect body shaping and points of bulge or sunken.
My guess is it might cover part of the snout, or have an articulated piece to cover the rest and still allow enough jaw movement to be able to talk.
And I keep doing the same damn thing, I stop posting and just stalk the thread instead of posting, I need to stop doing that. :L
Here's some of my recent stuff.
This was done for someone on Twitter.
I have another drawing, And improved ref of my fursona, but I'm unsure whether I can post it. (I say this a lot don't I? I find it a little worrying .) Because it's the male form and well.. he isn't wearing anything. No "details" though (I can't imagine myself ever doing that).
Edit: Is it just me, or does the thread go quiet whenever I happen to post. :l

If we were to grow up in a world where cat ears are attached to your head, surely the helmet companies would put up a way to work around it.

Now add up the fact that some anthros can have snouts.
Well I mean, they probably have already adjusted the helmets for their era for that.

That is clearly a cat helmet, cats have short snouts. I think it would fit in there nicely from the looks of it =^.^=

Well never mind then; *good bye Photoscape tab (click)*. Now I don't have to worry about multiple programs editing the same thing.

If you can draw boxes you can do this. I'm not sure what your style is so there is not much I can do to help you further.

I press too hard to rub out properly - don't blame me, blame my shaky hands.
What about canines?
