You look.. Innocent?
Anyways, is everyone going to tell what their 'Fursona' is?
If by "fursona" you mean your character in your stories and stuff, then I'll post two (from different storylines I've done). If you mean dress-up, I don't do that. If I had the money for a decent costume, I honestly have more important things to spend it on. Not judging anyone that dresses up, just sharing my opinion on the subject.
Anyway, here are images. First is another of my bull character, one I currently feel the most connection to.
And this one is a wolf, and this is currently the only picture I have of him on DA. I don't really feel connected to this one as much anymore, though. I just noticed as I posted it here that my signature was cut off when I scanned it... 2 years ago!
Anyway, hope I have the idea of fursona right. If requested, I have two MLP OCs that are kinda fursonas too I guess, but I won't post here unless asked because there's already a pony thread.
As for getting the thread going, I thought of a couple other topics for people to discuss. This way, if there's someone who doesn't do art, they can contribute too. Obvious stuff, but sometimes people overlook the obvious.
1. What is your favorite movie, book or show with anthro characters?
2. Do you remember a specific anthro character from your childhood?
3. What are your favorite anthro characters?
4. Start a new topic. I had more ideas, but I forgot them. So if you have a question or comment, post it. I'm sure people here will do their best to respond to you.
I will check back in later, and more than likely, will share another picture or two. The OP seems to like my stuff. I'd like to see more of his drawings, too. I like his style. Maybe this will turn into an art thread rather than a discussion thread.
Hmm, my attempts at starting topics was met with... limited success? Oh well. Just throwing them out there, give some people who don't draw anthros or even really identify as furries something to talk about. Don't want to just have this be a chat thread between AJ and myself.
On my own topics:
For TV shows, I think back to the classic 90's Disney: Tale Spin, Darkwing Duck, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers (do NOT try playing back the theme in your head, it will never leave if you do!), and Duck Tales come to mind. I like Regular Show too, but yeah, sometimes it's pretty lame. My Little Pony might count, because "anthro" as defined by deviantArt means involving human characteristics and motivations. But that's a topic for a different thread, don't mean to spam it here. Also, Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, and the old Disney classic cartoons.
As for movies, the 1970's Disney Robin Hood and, of course, The Lion King.
Special ones from my childhood, and favorites now, would have to be the characters from the shows and movies I listed above.
I will return later with more art. I plan to add one in the morning and one at night until we build up momentum and get more people posting here.
Anyone else want to recommend better topics, go ahead. We need things to discuss so this thread takes off.
Also, AJ, awesome wolf. No idea what "folf" means, might be time to check Urban Dictionary- no wait, bad idea... I'll just let you explain it so we have some discussion here.

A Fursona is basically an anthro character that represents you, and that you can relate and associate yourself with. So your bull would technically be your Fursona :smile.gif:
I am STILL looking for an artist to finish drawing my Fursona, but All I have visually is my forum avatar and profile pic. I am an orange and white androgynous Tabby Cat. Many people confuse me with a tiger, but that's another reason I need an artist to properly finish my Fursona. I don't have stripes like a lot of Tabbys, even though my profile pic makes it look like I do. I also have black and white ears, unlike most Tabbys. Now to answer the discussion questions:
1: Umm, I cant really think of one. There really isn't enough shows out there with anthros.
2. I never really saw any shows during my childhood that had anthros....at least that I can remember currently. I was a Sonic fan somewhat too, though.
3. Well, ones that I think are cute I guess lol.
Also, AJ, awesome wolf. No idea what "folf" means, might be time to check Urban Dictionary- no wait, bad idea... I'll just let you explain it so we have some discussion here.
A Folf is a Fox-Wolf. There are also things like Folfskies as well who are Fox-Wolf-Huskies.

Thanks for clearing that up! I'm pretty new to the idea of "furry fandom" despite having drawn these kinds of characters for years and enjoying these kind of characters since I was really little. So I know some of the terms, but not well enough to be sure in their usage.
Also, if you want, I could take a shot at drawing your fursona. I know the art I show here is more cartoony, but I shouldn't have too much trouble drawing it if you'd like. If you could post a little more info, or maybe even a sketch or something, or I could try basing it off the forum avatar and those pictures you posted. I would be drawing it by hand, though, since I don't do computer art (by hand is the only way I know).
Since fursonas seem to be very important to their owner, I will wait until you give permission to do this, if you'd like me to.

Wow, should've just thought it through a bit more. Anyway, thanks for explaining that, too.
Sure, sounds good! You can contact me easier through Skype(preferably) or PM. My info is on my profile. I have a detailed description that I can show you.
Alright, another image, as promised. This is actually my all-time favorite drawing.
Spoilered for size, yet again. I realize it's a pain in the ass when your browser lags because of large images.
Keep yo' mind out of the gutter. this is cute!
Gonna have to cut back the image dumping to 2 a day, one in the morning and one at night. I don't want to post my entire library of art to DA (well, actually, I kinda do now), so I gotta make what's up there last a few days.
Anyone else out there, don't be afraid to post art, comment, start a topic, whatever. Seriously.
Definitely, go for it!
Also, another pic. This one's a little less cartoony than the others I've posted.
WOW, that looks awesome!
As a new topic, Does anyone here follow any furry webcomics? I was following one for a while, but unfortunately I cannot for the life of me remember the name, and since i never bookmarked the page, I haven't been able to find the comic again. I have horrible memory, but I remember the comic kept referring to Mormonism, but I followed it only because of the storyline, since I'm not a religious person at all. I'll have to search around for it again sometime. Concessions looks pretty interesting, I might give it a shot sometime when I'm bored.
ok...now back to finishing this fursona description.. bah procrastination..
It's not hiding, this one is pretty new. Only been up a couple days.
I keep bumping it with my anthro art, get it going for you guys! Speaking of...
Have another drawing!
That's all I plan to post today. Not trying to spam, after all.
I was browsing FA, and found that an artist is livestreaming and doing free sketches..so now I'm watching her. If only I had a ref sheet, I'd get a free sketch xD Here's the link: https://sites.google.com/site/mjsketchies/live-stream
Love all the art.. I might put something up soon. :\
Hi!
Definitely post some art!
I have a feeling that's what will get this thread going. And as long as I'm lurking, I'll do my best to keep this on page 1 until more people are active here. Wow, I feel a little out of place here, I'm not quite as into furry as some people here are, but that's cool. I'll still share my art.
Speaking of, it's been a few hours, so here's this.
Have one of my characters drawn in Star Wars clothing that was going to be part of a fanfic I was going to do. She's a Jedi Knight in that story.
I may have to stop bumping as often, though. It might be against the rules. Then again, it says not to bump unless there is new, relevant things to post. I think my drawings are relevant here. I think... Just don't want to get in trouble, I have a lot of fun on the forum and would hate to get b&.
Look at how much I suck at drawing Sonic The Hedgehog:
-snip-
Also I updated the OP to make it much more lenghty.
That's actually pretty good. Reminds me of a friend I had in high school, he drew Shadow constantly. In fact, that was about all he drew besides some original (human) characters for a story.
As for the OP, I read it again. The new portions are awesome, about the diversity at the conventions and stuff. If there was a furry convention in my general area, I would definitely go check it out. I don't take furry quite as far as some people, but that doesn't matter, they're having fun and role-playing as a character, and I can totally appreciate that! Might even consider finding or making some simple costume pieces. If my bull character counts as a fursona, I could probably just make a headband thing with ears and horns and a tail. Once I find some suitable materials, I might have to do that now.
Anyway, morning art post. Air guitar.
A more humorous one. One of those "I hope someone doesn't walk into my room" moments.
You look.. Innocent?
Anyways, is everyone going to tell what their 'Fursona' is?

This is Jake "Classik" Wind. He is my Fursona. He is a Steppe Wolf, but by the way I draw him, he looks more cubby or Folf.
@Lord_Dominic
1. Never really had a favorite. I would probably say Regular Show if some of the jokes weren't so LAME. I don't watch TV that much ;_;
2. This is Ace. He is what you could say my first Fursona. Sonic Fandom had me before anyone else :tongue.gif:
3. Way too many.
Yeah... I am boring :tongue.gif:
On my own topics:
